Why you think you will be the sole SURVIVOR: I'll be the person who keeps winning immunity challenges, thus becoming a big threat to get rid of, but no one will be able to get rid of me.
Survivor: The Beginning[]
When Benny reached Sarawak, he began making a bad first impression on Jane. He became annoyed when Helga tried to force everyone to listen to her. In the first Immunity challenge, he managed to lead his tribe to victory. The following day, Walter brought Benny, Violet and Ryan into an "alliance". In the next Immunity challenge, Benny won for his tribe for the second time in a row. Violet and Vanessa, who had a pact, brought Benny in to help them. When Jane had enough of Helga, she brought Benny, Charlie, Walter and Ryan into an alliance. Benny decided to stick with the alliance rather than the pact. Sarawak entered the merge, only losing Helga in the process. In the merge, Benny formed a bond with Peter from Sabah. Benny told Peter that Violet would be voted out, but instead, Benny and Sarawak voted out Peter's only other tribemates, Victoria and Bob. Benny felt bad, but didn't forget that it was a game. Ryan decided to bring Benny, Walter and Charlie into a guy's alliance. They eliminated the three remaining girls, Violet, Jane and Vanessa. However, Benny feared Ryan, for he was making himself appear threatening. But Peter was voted out, allowing Benny access to the final four. He and Walter made a deal to defeat Ryan and Charlie, but Walter and Charlie went into a re-vote. Benny betrayed and eliminated Walter. Benny then won the final Immunity challenge. He voted Charlie out and took Ryan to the final two, because Charlie was too likable. Due to his constant insecure feelings and numerous betrayals, Benny lost to Ryan.

- At the reunion show, Benny revealed that his reason for taking Ryan over Charlie was because Ryan was more strategic, thus more deserving.
