  • After Nina's blindside, on Wicklow, vengeance was the only thing on Darla's mind as she recruited an alliance of herself, Jonah, Wing, Brendan, and Wanda against Daniel and Janette, with the primary target of Daniel.  Meanwhile, both Jonah and Chaswell searched for the HIdden IMmunity Idol but were unable to find it, and Chaswell and Tommy struck up a relationship, and after Tommy overhearing about the "Normalton's" plans, him and Chaswell started gathering resources available to fight the alliance.  However, Waterford once again dominated both challenges, sending Wicklow to tribal council, where Darla's attempt to get rid of Daniel backfired when his alliance made Wing and Wanda flip, taking out Brendan and once again leaving Darla and Jonah on the outs.

Challenges

Reward Challenge: One on One
Two people would be standing over the water, with only foot holds to keep them from falling into the water, and being able to put their hands on a board, tilted so that the castaways would have to lean over the water.  For each pairing, whichever member outlasts the other without falling into the water will score a point for their tribe.  The tribe with the most points wins.
Reward: A giant pig feast with a cooked pig set on a vegetable bed, able to be taken back to camp.
Winner: Wicklow

Immunity Challenge: Bar Tender
Each contestant would have an individual pedestal surrounded by water, just big enough to be stood on, in a circle, with a bar in the middle.  The giant bar would swing around all of the pedestals, forcing the castaways to jump to stay alive.  This will gradually get faster, and will continue until the last tribe left standing would win immunity.  In addition, the last person left standing from each tribe would publicly receive a clue, however, this clue would be for the other tribe's idol!
Winner: Wicklow

Story

Night 6

Returning from tribal council, Darla and Jonah were once again shocked.  Darla was once again angry, this time at Wing, but decided to hold it in from the tribe and instead let it out with Jonah.

You can tell Darla's pretty hyped up after last tribal council, and I can't say I'm not as well.  Darla's been ranting all night to me about how stupid Wing is, and how he disgusts her, but at this point, what's ranting going to do when we have no power?

–Jonah

Everyone on my tribe is incredibly stupid, par Jonah, that it's really getting to me. Especially Wing, I mean, sure, Wanda stabbed me too, but she's someone where it was pretty obvious she was going to leave eventually due to her emotions, but Wing, he's a major threat, and I want his head on a stick.

–Darla

Daniel, Janette, and Shaun are still shocked at how Tribal Council transpired, and make a final 3 deal with each other immediately.

I already considered Daniel to be a final 2 candidate for me, so I'm totally fine with Shaun being in the final 3, us three will be a nasty trio that no one will be able to take down.

–Janette

Day 7

Morning at Wicklow was strangely calm, as the entire tribe was exhausted from last night's events.

Something's brewing over here, I can feel it, it's just like the calm before the storm, the air's so tension-filled that one spark will set the whole thing on fire.

–Wanda

Shaun took this opportunity to gather everybody around the campfire, and he gave a speech to them about how the tribe hasn't been able to work together, and that they need to unite or that all of their strategies will be for naught when Waterford pagong's them. The tribe agrees with Shaun, Jonah stating that they need to win something to keep morale up.

Our tribe has been so busy strategizing and deceiving, that we haven't focused n the fact that we haven't won a single challenge. I'm determined to make this a turnaround point for Wicklow, and I feel like we may be able to get something going.

–Shaun

Right now, me and Darla are on the outs, and with morale being really low around camp, I need to support Shaun's effort to get us cooperating, if we don't do something fast, then this tribe will crash and burn, with no survivors.

–Jonah

Meanwhile, at Waterford, the tribe was also fairly calm, for much different reasons than Wicklow, the mood had been fairly lax.

I hate this lazy mood around camp, I know that if I don't do something today, then I'm on the outs and could quite possibly be on my way out, but my tribe isn't really offering me a whole lot of ways to get myself out of this hole.

–Tommy

Meanwhile, as people stirred and the early camp chores were being done, Shai noticed Nalia meditation on the beach, before rolling her eyes at Bruce and snickering. Nalia continued, unaware of the two laughing behind her back.

Nalia the nut job, it just sounds right. I mean, come on, who freakin' meditates out here!?

–Shai

Shai seems to think that I find her almost bullying sense of humor funny, but I don't, it just seems plain mean. Who cares if she meditates, that's none of your business, in my view.

–Bruce

Just being out here in the wilderness makes me peaceful, I feel a inner zen out here, which might sound strange, but I really like it. Everyone seems to be fine with it, so I see no problem in anything I've been doing.

–Nalia

Meanwhile, Barbara approached Chaswell and Tommy, to ask if they've gotten anywhere. When they said no, Barbara looked disappointed which angered the two.

Chaswell and Tommy haven't gotten us a fifth yet, which means it's likely up to me to do it.

–Barbara

Barbara comes up to me and Tommy and asks if we made any progress, and when we say no, she acts like we were a disappointment! As far as I know, she has done almost nothing to help our cause, so if anyone is to be disappointed, it’s me and tommy.

–Chaswell

So Barbara comes strolling up to us, and asks expectantly if we got any work done. I mean, Hello? what have you done for us to justify that?

–Tommy

Barbara then walks up to Nalia, determined to make some progress, and asks her where her heads at. Nalia says she likes everyone and doesn’t know anything game-wise, and says that everyone is respectful and she doesn’t want to vote someone out. Barbara, knowing what Shai has been saying about here, tells Nalia, asking her to keep it a secret.

Barbara’s filled me in on some pretty shocking information. Shai’s been making fun of me behind my back, which hurts, and now I’m all for this alliance with Barbara, Chaswell, and Tommy, so long as Shai’s the first target.

–Nalia

Both tribes gathered for the reward challenge, with the pairings being Daniel and Chaswell, Shaun and Tommy, Janette and Shai, Wanda and Nancy, Darla and Nalia, Jonah and Jordan, and Wing and Bruce, with Barbara and Riley sitting out for Waterford.  As the competitors, got set on their footholds, Shai was already wobbling and struggling to keep her position, and soon after the challenge started, fell out of the water, scoring Janette the first point for Wicklow.  A few minutes later, a sudden adjustment left Wanda falling into the water, scoring Nancy a point for Waterford.  Right after Wanda, Darla soon fell, scoring Nalia the second point for Waterford, leading them 2-1.  Only the men were left, and they kept their position for a while afterwards.   About 45 minutes in, Chaswell was struggling to hold on, while Daniel was slipping off his post.  However, Daniel held on just long enough for Chaswell to fall into the water first, scoring Daniel the second point for Wicklow, tying things up.  After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes into the challenge, Tommy suddenly fell off his post, which led Shaun to get the third point for Wicklow, only needing one more point to win.  However, a few minutes later, Jonah couldn't take the pain any longer and fell into the water, scoring Jordan the third point for Waterford, tying things up, with Wing and Bruce hanging on, deciding the fate of the reward challenge.  It was obvious both men were in pain, but approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes into the challenge, Wing slipped his foot, losing one of his footholds, obivously in pain.  However, with only one foot to keep him in it, he hung on, and at the 3 hour mark, Bruce couldn't take it anymore, falling off, scoring Wing the fourth and deciding point for Wicklow, as his tribe cheered for him.  The Wicklow tribe was escatic, winning their first challenge the entire game.

Thanks to Wing, our tribe won our first challenge, I really hope this could be a turnaround point, because we desperately need it. Also, this goes to show that Me, Daniel, Janette, and Wing are the strongest of our tribe, which is why I'm glad they're in my alliance.

–Shaun

When asked who to kidnap, Wicklow once again chose Riley, while Waterford chose Wing.

Today, Wing's proven that he's a physical threat on Wicklow, but if he stays with us, then he won't be able to enjoy their reward and might be weak enought for the challenge so we can beat them.

–Jordan

I'm starting to get worried about the possible bonds Riley can be making over there, she's been at that camp for practically half of the game, and I can't have any of our allies going astray.

–Nancy

At the Wicklow camp, Riley once again talked mostly with Janette and Daniel, and told them she'd be loyal to them if a merge comes.

Out of everyone on Wicklow, Daniel and Janette are the people who I feel closest to, and I feel bad for them, being on a tribe that keeps losing, so I told them I'd be with them when a merge comes, I just really hope I don't have to break my promise!

–Riley

I had Janette as a duo, Shaun as a duo, Wanda as a duo-ish, and now I have Riley as a trio! I'm in an ever-expanding universe of alliances, which will hopefully carry me to the end.

–Daniel

Meanwhile, the tribe with Riley was enjoying the feast, though Darla enjoyed it for a different reason. In the pig's mouth, she spotted a roll of paper, and when no one was looking grabbed it and stuffed it in her pocket. After the feast, Darla ran up to Jonah and showed him what she found, which was a clue to Wicklow's Hidden Immunity Idol.

Just when things were looking down for me, I find a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, and it's just when I needed it! I showed Jonah, and now we're going to be searching for the Idol. Screw discretion, these people know we're on the outs, and as long as we get that idol, everything will be great.

–Darla

Darla proved today that I can trust her without a bit of doubt, by showing me her clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. We're going to take shifts of looking for the idol while the other one makes a cover story back at camp, if anyone asks.

–Jonah

Darla took the first shift, but couldn't find the idol with the clue, and when the switched, while Jonah was looking, Riley casually asked Darla where Jonah was, in front of the whole camp. Darla smugly announced that Jonah was looking for the Hidden Immunity Idol, which shocked the entire camp.

The looks on they're faces were hilarious! This will be so fun when they turn on each other because of the idol we're going to find!

–Darla

Darla announced to the whole tribe that Jonah was looking for the Hidden Immunity Idol, which put me on guard, because if anyone has an idol without me knowing about it, then we're going to have a problem.

–Daniel

Daniel sprinted after Jonah in the woods, who figured from the clue that the idol was underwater. He stripped out of his clothes into his bathing suit, and dived underwater, and Daniel came into the scene. Jonah was underwater, and felt the idol under one of the rocks, before grabbing it and swimming up to the surface, not knowing that Daniel was there.

"My, my, what do we have here?" -Daniel (smirking)

"What are you doing here?" -Jonah

"A little birdy told me that you were looking for the idol, and lo and behold, you have it!" -Daniel

"What're you going to do?" -Jonah

"You mean, after I tell the tribe?" -Daniel

"Look, Daniel, what can I do so that you don't tell everyone?" -Jonah

"I'm not sure what you can do, why don't you tell me?" -Daniel

"Look, if you don't tell the tribe, then I can be another one of your allies, at least keep it secret for now, and I promise I'll vote however you want me to." -Jonah

"Hmm...alright, you have one shot, I won't tell the tribe for now, but you better be loyal." -Daniel

"Cross my heart." -Jonah

This could not be any better, now I have Jonah in my back pocket, and I'm practically blackmailing him, I'm basically in control of this entire tribe!

–Daniel

Well, apparently, Darla told the entire tribe I was looking for the idol, so when Daniel came chasing after me, I had to make sure he didn't tell the tribe, because despite what Darla thinks, we can't have everyone knowing about the idol I have. As far as keeping my promise to Daniel, I always keep my promises, until it's time to break them, so we'll see.

–Jonah

Daniel marched back to camp behind Jonah, telling the tribe that he stopped Jonah from looking, and that Jonah couldn't find the idol. Darla raised her eyebrow at Jonah, who winked back at her, which made Darla smile, knowing that Jonah had the idol.

The drama at the Wicklow camp, while more public, was not to match the strategic drama unfolding at the Waterford camp, as they arrived back at camp, dejected from their challenge loss.

Chaswell, Tommy, Barbara, and Nalia grouped up on the beach, and discussed their options.  Chaswell told the group about his failed encounter with Riley, and says that the only one left to sway is Bruce, as everyone else is loyal to the alliance.  Barbara says that she might be able to convince Bruce, and the group disperses.

Right now, I'm trusting that Barbara will be able to get the job done, because if she can't, then us Oddballs are going to be picked off, one by one.

–Chaswell

Barbara approaches Bruce, and ask him where his head is at as far as the game goes. Bruce told her that he's beginning to question what he wants to do, as he's aligned with Shai, who's both nasty and physically weak. Barbara tells Bruce that they could get rid of Shai, if Bruce would come over to Chaswell, Tommy, and Nalia's side instead.

Barbara came up to me and gave me an interesting proposition, to leave my allies in Shai, Jordan, Riley, and Nancy, and come over to Barbara, Chaswell, Tommy, and Nalia. Honestly, I feel more loyal to my original four, but Shai's just an all-around bad person, and I wouldn't mind seeing her go.

–Bruce

I approached Bruce and proposed to him that he leaves his original allies and comes with my alliance, on the condition that Shai is the first to go, which we were going to do anyway. He hasn't given me a definite answer yet, but I can tell that when I mentioned getting out Shai, his interest in joining us went up.

–Barbara

Meanwhile, Nalia was relaxing in the shelter, when Shai sat down next to her. Nalia tried to ignore Shai, but when Shai opened up a conversation to her, Nalia snapped, telling Shai to bug off, saying that she was a bully, before storming off, leaving Shai shocked. Nalia ran into the woods, and cried to herself, feeling bad about what she did.

I was trying to talk with Nalia, not knowing anything was up, when suddenly, the b*tch snapped at me, and stormed off. I have no idea what her problem is, but she sure has a lot of them, she needs to go.

–Shai

I don't know what got into me today, but I just snapped at Shai, and even though she's been mean to me, I can't return the favor, and that makes me sad that I had that in me today.

–Nalia

Tommy runs up to Nalia in the woods, and asks her what's wrong. Nalia tells Tommy that she feels bad about what she did to Shai, and after some talking with Tommy, Nalia walks back into camp, fully composed, and apologizes to Shai.

Nalia's a sweet girl, and she didn't mean to do anything wrong, so I gave her a little pep talk, and now that she apologized, I think she feels better.

–Tommy

Nalia may think that apologizing to me will fix everything, but it doesn't, she obviously is just saying that so I look like the bad guy, but guess what. I'll be the bad guy, because I have the numbers to get you out, so good luck leaving!

–Shai

Day 8

Both tribes came in to compete in the immunity challenge. After explaining the rules, and reminding them about the idol clues they would get if they outlast the rest of their tribes, Jeff designated them to their own pedestals, and Waterford designated Nalia and Nancy to sit out, as the bar came swinging around. Even before the bar came around, Shai stumbled on her pedestal in preparation, and fell off her pedestal into the water. Everyone else made it through the first few rotations, but the fourth time the bar came swinging around, Wanda didn’t jump in time, and was knocked off her pedestal and into the water. Shortly after, Barbara, who was behind her, was distracted by Wanda falling, and was knocked into the water herself. Everyone else fared well, and lasted for a while after. Approximately fifteen minutes into the challenge. Darla’s thighs gave out, and instead of being whacked off by the bar, she jumped into the water. Shortly after, Tommy couldn’t take it, and was knocked into the water as he was not able to jump high enough. Fatigue was setting in, and 22 minutes into the challenge, the bar went around and knocked off Wing, who was unable to continue, due to having almost no energy from missing out on the reward. 30 minutes into the challenge, the bar swung around too fast for Jordan, and knocked him out. Soon after, Bruce fell off his platform, and Shaun, distracted at all the falls, lost his balance himself and fell into the water, leaving Janette, Daniel, and Jonah for Wicklow left, and Chaswell and Riley left for their tribe.

Jonah jumped off his platform in fatigue after about 45 minutes in, and approximately 5 minutes later, Riley couldn’t take it anymore, and jumped off too, leaving Chaswell against Janette and Daniel. About an hour in, Daniel’s legs were shaking, and he knew he couldn’t take it anymore, and jumped into the water, leaving Janette and Chaswell left. Both of them would receive idol clues, but only one would win immunity for their tribe. The two lasted for another 15 minutes, and when the bar was fully sped up, Janette tripped over the bar, but landed on all fours, able to keep herself in the competition. Chaswell, thinking that he won from seeing Janette, didn’t notice the bar still moving, and it hit him square in the knees, pushing him off of the challenge, winning immunity for Wicklow. Janette jumped off her platform and back onto shore, as her whole tribe celebrated their first immunity win, proclaiming themselves as the comeback kids. Jeff sent a delighted Wicklow and a dejected Waterford back to camp, not forgetting to give Janette and Chaswell their idol clues.

Sit-Out

At Wicklow, when she had her privacy, Janette opened up her idol clue, but when she read it, she was confused. The clue didn’t describe anything she knew about, and when she looked closer at the scroll, she saw on the side, an orange decoration, meaning it was for the other tribe!

When we came back from the challenge, I assumed I got a clue to OUR tribe’s idol, but it turn’s out that it’s actually Waterford’s clue! Unless I’m kidnapped, I won’t be able to find their idol anyway, so now I have a target on my back, and no advantage to go with it.

–Janette

Janette, knowing that her tribe was curious about the clue she got, announced that she wouldn’t look for the idol, and that she wouldn’t go off into the woods on her own unless she had to go to the bathroom, which appeased her tribemates.

I hope I convinced them that I wouldn’t go looking for the idol, and I’ll be able to get the bulls-eye off my back and back onto Jonah’s and Darla’s.

–Janette

I believe Janette, but if I could put a seed of doubt into everyone else’s minds about her possibly having an idol, even though I know Jonah has it, then it might be able to save me and Jonah down the road.

–Darla

At the Waterford camp, as they came back from their second defeat in a row, Chaswell opened his idol clue, and immediately noticed the light green designs on it, meaning it was for the Wicklow camp. Dejected, and wanting to keep the target off his back, he tossed the clue into the fire in front of his tribe, trying to show it as a sign of trust.

Of course it’s just my luck, that when I get an idol clue, it’s not even for my tribe! I doubt I’m going to be kidnapped to get a chance to go to Wicklow, so I just burned the clue to show Waterford I have no intentions of looking for it.

–Chaswell

The Normalton’s and Oddball Alliance met up to discuss plans, the Normalton’s agreeing on Nalia being a target, mostly due to Shai’s disdain for her, while the Oddball Alliance agreed on Shai, as that was the only way Bruce could be with them. Barbara came up to Bruce, trying to get a commited answer, but Bruce still avoided convicting to the Oddballs side, which frustrated Barbara.

Bruce isn’t willing to commit a side yet, which frustrates me, but at this point, he’s our only option, I just hope his dislike for Shai is enough to get him on our side.

–Barbara

Barbara wants a definite answer from me, but I’m not ready to give one, either way. I really don’t feel good abandoning my original alliance, but Shai doesn’t seem like a nice person and someone who I see myself working with, we’ll just have to see.

–Bruce

Nancy, seeing Bruce talk with Barbara, walks up to Bruce to see if everything’s alright. Bruce tells her that they’re trying to get him to flip, and Nancy tells him that it’s foolish to stab his original alliance this early in the game, which Bruce agrees with.

I thought this would be an easy, simple vote to get rid of Nalia, but now that the outsiders are trying to get Bruce on their side, I’m feeling paranoid, I just walked up to him and straightened him out, assuring him that voting Nalia out was the best move, and I think he’s back on track with us. Nalia might as well pack her bags now, because she’s dead as a doornail.

–Nancy

After their talk, Nancy tells Shai what happened, to which Shai rolls her eyes. Bruce, wanting to think about what he was going to do, sits down on the beach and considers his options.

Right now, I have all of the power in this tribe, I choose who’s going home, and it’s put a lot of pressure on me. At this point, I think I’m going to follow what Nancy and the alliance have been saying and take out Nalia, so long as Shai doesn’t do anything else, but my mind’s always running.

–Bruce

Tribal Council

At tribal council, Jeff asks about the divisions in the tribe, to which Jordan says that their is a clear division between himself, Shai, Nancy, Riley, and Bruce, and Chaswell, Tommy, Nalia, and Barbara. Jeff asks if this is true, which Chaswell confirms. Jeff also asks about how physicality weighs into the vote, to which Tommy says that the person that he’s voting is physically weak and doesn’t do much around camp physically, to which Shai snaps, sassily asking Tommy why he’s being indirect when it’s obvious he’s talking about her. Jeff asks Shai if she feels comfortable, to which Shai says she does, but that she heard Bruce might flip, and Shai challenges Bruce on what she heard, aggressively, to which Bruce is unable to respond, shocked. Barbara stares at Bruce accusingly, as if to ask why he wouldn’t vote Shai to which Bruce puts his palm in his face, shaking his head, Trying to think of what to do, before tallying the votes. In the end, due to Shai’s aggressive behavior at Tribal Council combined with her physical weakness, Bruce decided to flip to the Oddball alliance, and a shocked Shai was eliminated in a 5-4 vote.
