Previously on Survivor...

After Xavier's betrayal of his alliance at the last tribal council, his former allies Astrid and Lester laid into him. Their constant arguing and hostility led to major discomfort at camp. At the reward challenge, Astrid won an advantage in the following immunity challenge. It didn't matter as Esther ended up edging out Astrid to take home immunity. At camp, the constant fighting led the Swap Six along with Astrid and Lester to vote out Xavier unanimously.

Eight are left. Who will be eliminated next?

Reward Challenge: Boulder Smash
The tribe will be split up into two teams of four. In two on two matches, each team must push a giant ball across their opponents goal line. The first team to make three goals wins.
Reward: Burgers and drinks
Winner: Esther, Ivan, Michelle, Parker

Immunity Challenge: Slip and Slide
In one on one rounds, two castaways must race down a slippery track to retrieve a ring. When they get to the end, the castaways must throw the rings on a wooden post. The first castaway to score goes to the next round until there are two left where the first castaway to score wins immunity.
Winner: Esther

Night 24

Duo Flumina returned to camp. Before everyone went into the shelter, Astrid addressed the tribe, "I just want to thank you for not voting me out tonight. I just knew I was gone. So thank you for sparing me for at least another three days."

Parker, Piper, Esther and Michelle all went into the shelter to sleep. Only Ivan and Olive stayed out to talk to Lester and Astrid.

"I'm going to be honest with you," Ivan said, "You were the next to go. Xavier only went home because of all the constant arguing."

"So it's safe to assume that I am the one going home next if I don't win immunity?" Astrid asked.

"Yes. If you lose, you're gone," Olive bluntly said.

Lester added, "That would leave me left. I'm gone after Astrid."

"That's the plan," Olive replied.

Olive and Ivan went into the shelter.

"Looks light we have a fight on our hands," Astrid said.

"Either way, it's one of us going home next," Lester replied.

"Is been a fun ride anyway," Astrid said, "I just hope it could have been a little longer."

"It's hard when we keep dropping like flies," Lester told Astrid.

Astrid found some amusement in the situation. She said, "I find it funny that the entire post-swap Segovia tribe will be eliminated consecutively. How often does that happen to a tribe?"

"I honestly couldn't tell you," Lester said.

"It's fine. I'm going to try and get some sleep," Astrid said. She walked into the shelter. Lester was right behind her.

Day 25

Boulder Smash

"Come on in, guys!" Jeff called out. The tribe walked in and stepped on their mat. Jeff continued, "Are you guys ready to get to today's reward challenge...For today's challenge, the tribe will be split up into two teams of four. In two on two matches, each you must push a giant ball across your opponent's goal line. The first team to make three goals wins reward. Want to know what you are playing for?...The winners of today's challenge will be taken to an outdoor feast of burgers and drinks. Worth playing for? We'll draw for teams and get started."

The tribes were in their selected teams. Jeff said, "For the blue team we have Piper, Olive, Lester, and Astrid. The purple team is made up of Parker, Michelle, Ivan, and Esther. For our first match, we have Olive and Piper versus Ivan and Michelle. Survivors, ready? Go!"

All four tribe members ran towards the ball. Ivan and Michelle began pushing the ball toward's the blue team's goal. Piper and Olive tried to push back. They stopped the ball. Slowly Ivan and Michelle began pushing the ball. After a good twenty minutes, the purple team pushed the ball over the blue team's goal line.

"Ivan and Michelle score for the purple team. Purple leads 1-0!" Jeff commentated.

Parker and Esther ran much quicker to the ball than Lester and Astrid. Parker instructed Esther to push the ball. Parker ran passed the ball, grabbed Lester and took him to the ground. Esther was able to overpower Astrid. Esther went on to score for the purple team.

"Purple team scores and leads by 2-0," Jeff said.

Parker and Esther went up again. This time they went against Lester and Piper. Once again Parker took out Lester. Piper and Esther squared off with the ball. They went back and forth until Parker shoved Lester into the ground and charged Piper. Piper dodged him, freeing the ball for Esther. Parker joined Esther in pushing to ball over the blue team's goal line shutting out the blue team.

"Purple team wins reward!" Jeff announced. The tribe retook their spot on the mat. Jeff said, "Parker, Ivan, Esther, and Michelle you will taken to your reward of burgers and drinks in a moment. As for the rest of you, I've got nothing."

With those four gone, maybe we can talk to Olive and Piper to try and tie this game up. It is my last move outside of immunity.

–Astrid Beaumont

Duo Flumina

Astrid approached Piper and Olive after the reward challenge. She asked them, "Do you know where your place is in this alliance that you have?"

"We know exactly where our places are in the alliance," Olive said.

"Really? Where is that?" asked Astrid, intrigued.

"Yeah. We're at the top," Piper said.

Astrid didn't believe her. She said, "Then why do they seem to always be together?"

"So they know that they are each other's greatest threat and we are left on the side as the two sides tear each other apart once you and Lester are gone," Olive said, "The roles in our alliance are this. Olive and I are the top. Esther, Ivan and Parker are the muscle that keeps the immunity necklace out of your possession. Michelle along with Esther are also puzzle solvers in case their are puzzle challenges. Please stop trying to turn us away from our alliance."

"Sorry Astrid, but it's true. We're not in a bad place. It's the opposite. We are the leaders and not the followers," Piper told her.

"I know you're just trying everything to survive, but stop. It's super annoying," Olive told Astrid.

Piper turned to Olive, "That was a little condescending."

"It's fine, Piper," Astrid replied.

"I'm sorry, Astrid," Piper said anyway.

"I said it's okay," Astrid said as she walked away.

Piper turned to Olive, "If you continue and make it to the end, you won't fare well at final tribal."

"I don't think so," Olive replied as she left.

If Olive continues to act like she did to Astrid today, I'm going to have to keep her around because I know I can beat her in the end.

–Piper Milton

Day 27

Slip and Slide

"Come on in, guys!" Duo Flumina walked into the challenge arena. Jeff continued, "Are you guys ready for today's immunity challenge? First things first. Esther, I'll take it back."

"And I'll be getting it back," Esther said as Jeff took the necklace back.

Jeff went on, "For today's challenge, in one on one rounds, two of you will race down a slippery track to retrieve a ring. When you get to the end, you must throw the rings on a wooden post. The first castaway to score goes to the next round where you will race to retrieve two rings which you must make first before going to the final round. In the final round, you will have three rings you must toss and land on the post. First castaway to successfully make all three rings wins immunity. Immunity is always worth it. We'll draw for spots and get started."

The first match up was between Astrid and Lester. Both ran down and started their slide. Astrid made it a little further down the track than Lester. She stood up, grabbed her ring and waddled her way down the track. Lester tried to stand up, but slipped. Astrid tossed her ring and made it on the first throw. The second match was between Esther and Ivan. Esther and Ivan launched themselves down the track. Esther grabbed her ring and still went further down. She crawled her way to finish. Ivan grabbed his ring but walked to the end. Esther tossed her ring. She made it before Ivan had a chance to make it. The third match was Piper vs. Michelle. They both ran, throwing themselves on the track. Neither one made it that far. Piper stood up. She slipped but recovered on her way to grab her ring. Michelle reached her ring first as well as the end of the track. Piper was not far behind. Michelle tossed her ring, but missed. Piper tossed her ring and missed. Michelle missed again. Piper made it on her second attempt. The final match in the first round was between Parker and Olive. Parker launched himself, landing hard. Olive jumped on the track only to stop well short of the ring. Parker's size propelled him to his ring and beyond. On the way, he grabbed his ring. Reaching the end of the track, he tossed his ring and made it before Olive even got to the end.

"Astrid, Esther, Piper and Parker make it to Round 2. This time we have two rings Let's begin," Jeff said.

The first match of the round was between Piper and Astrid. Both women made it only a fourth the way down their track before stopping. Astrid crawled her way to her two rings. Piper was right behind her. Astrid made it to the end of the track before Piper. Astrid tossed her first ring and made it. Piper reached the end of the track. Piper tossed her first ring but missed. Astrid was perfect making her second ring. The second match was between Esther and Parker. Esther once again gained a lead over her competitor. She grabbed her rings and crawl her way through the track. Parker grabbed his rings only a few steps behind Esther. Esther tossed her first ring and made it. Parker tossed his first ring and made it as well. He tossed his second ring before Esther did, but he missed. Esther tossed her second ring and made it.

"Astrid will take on Esther in the final round of this immunity challenge. A rematch of the last challenge between these two women. Can Astrid avenge her loss last time or will Esther sweep Astrid for the win?" Jeff commentated.

The final round began. Esther reached her rings slightly after Astrid did. Astrid and Esther both crawled their ways to the end of the track. Astrid was first. Without hesitation, she tossed all three on her rings only landing one. Esther was slower in her approach. She tossed all three as well and landed two of hers. Astrid grabbed her two other rings. She tossed them again and missed both times. Esther tossed her final ring, making it.

"Esther wins immunity!" Jeff announced.

Astrid dropped her ring in defeat, "I'm gone."

The tribe returned to the mat. Jeff put immunity back around Esther's neck, "Esther is safe from tonight's vote. The other seven of you are in danger of going home. I'll give you the afternoon to think about it and see you tonight."

There it is, ladies and gentlemen. I'm going home tonight. All I'm doing is going to rest today.

–Astrid Beaumont

Duo Flumina

Lester and Astrid were sitting on the riverbank. Astrid said, "Lester, go ahead and vote for me."

"Why? I said I never would because of our alliance," Lester said.

"Our alliance is dead. They killed it. I'm also giving you my permission. You won't be turning back on a promise. I'm freeing you from that promise. I'm going home anyway. Make it unanimous," Astrid said.

"As you wish," Lester said.

Tribal Council

The tribal council interview was dull as everyone knew who was going home. Astrid had even conceded to her fate. Jeff told Olive to start off the voting.

Voting Confessionals

I have to vote for someone and you were a bitch a couple days ago.

–Astrid Beaumont

Sorry, kid. I was hoping we'd be in the Final Four. The dice didn't roll that way. See ya again in a few days.

–Lester Greene

Jeff left and returned with the urn. He said, "The person with the highest number of votes will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes."

First vote: Astrid
Second vote: Astrid
Third vote: Astrid
Fourth vote: Astrid

"The ninth person voted out of Survivor: La Mosquitia and the second member of our jury: Astrid. That's five and it's enough. Please bring me your torch."

As Astrid brough her torch up, she said, "I'm going to be watching you guys from over there to see who truly deserves the win."

Jeff snuffed her torch, "Astrid, the tribe has spoken."

Astrid left tribal council. Jeff turned to the tribe, "It would appear that there is only one person left outside the main alliance. The question is: What to do next?"

Final Words

It feels a little better because I knew what was coming, but it still stings. I don't care who is in the finals. I will consider everyone equal in the running right now with one exception. I really can't stand Olive.
