A suprise twist pits the men against the women.

Expect The Unexpected is the sixth episode of Survivor: Caucasus.
Previously On Survivor...
After the loss of a member in their alliance, the future for Daniel, Derek, and Amy seemed pretty grim, until a guilt-ridden Sebastian decided to join their alliance. Upon learning that both tribes would be attending Tribal Council, the scrambling began on both Tribes. Daniel's alliance needed Van to flip to their side in order to keep a deadlocked tie from happening. On Rioni, Yessica came up with a plan that could have potentially saved both her allies from elimination.
Since Yessica wound up winning the reward for Rioni, her tribe ended up going to Tribal Council first. Thinking that either Rachel or Gerardo would pull out an idol, Heather decided to split the votes, but neglected in telling Agatha and Martin. This came back to bite her, as Agatha and Martin, surprised and hurt that they weren't informed of the plan, turned their backs on Heather, and voted out Winston. At Alazani, it became a confrontation between Derek and both Phoebe and Lauren, but in the end, Van, thinking that he had no more use for the girls, betrayed them and voted out Phoebe. Now that, both tribes are down to seven members each, what will happen next. Find out next, on Survivor: Caucasus!
Reward Challenge: Coco Connection
Using coconuts and a slingshot, tribe members must knock down wooden tiles from a grid. First team to knock down an entire row, column or a diagonal wins reward.
Reward: A choice between a tarp, pillows and blankets and a basket of donuts, and clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol
Immunity Challenge: By The Numbers
Seven castaways from each tribe would stand on a narrow beam over water. One at a time, the castaways would move down the beam, squeezing past their fellow tribe members. The castaway moving down the beam would not be allowed to touch more than one tribe member at a time. Any castaway to fall off would have to start over. The first tribe to get all seven members to the finish platform would win.
Night of Day 14
As Phoebe walked away from Tribal Council, Jeff calls in the Rioni tribe, who'd been told to wait outside.
Jeff: "You guys are probably wondering why you're still here. Well, just like what they say in Big Brother, expect the unexpected! Because we're switching tribes!"
Everyone has a shocked look in their face as Jeff begins to assign the new tribes.
Jeff: "Unlike previous seasons, the new tribes have already been selected. If your name is called, then come stand over here. Derek, Gerardo, Daniel, Sebastian, Martin, Van, and Aaron. You will be the new Alazani tribe. As for the castaways I did not call, you will be the new Rioni tribe."
Immediately after, awkward glances and gasps were heard as the castaways began to see that Jeff assembled all the remaining males in the game on one side, leaving the rest of the females on the other side.
Jeff: "These are your new tribes. Better get used to your new tribe mates. Alazani, you go this way, while Rioni goes that way."
|The New Rioni Tribe|
|The New Alazani Tribe|
The new tribes went their separate ways and arrived at their camps later that night.
|“||It's very frustrating losing a member of your alliance, and then having to go to a new tribe, especially if it's an all-female tribe. But at least when I wake up tomorrow, I don't have to see that traitorous Van's disgusting face anymore!||”|
|“||It really bums me out that Amy got switched to the other tribe, but I'm so psyched that I'm still with Daniel and Sebastian! Dudes 'til the end!||”|
As the new Rioni tribe members begin to wake up, Yessica and Rachel offer them a tour of their new camp.
Yessica: "So this is where we keep our food and that path over there leads to where we get our treemail."
Rachel: "And our water supply is over that way."
While Yessica and Rachel lead the new Alazani females around camp, Lauren and Samantha begin to quietly converse with each other.
Samantha: "Did you see that they had two shelters?"
Lauren: "Yeah, what's that about?"
Samantha: "I don't know, but I feel as if this tribe didn't get along. Like, I understand building two shelters, but these are like 20 to 30 feet away from eachother."
Lauren: "Yeah, there's something odd with that."
|“||Coming into this tribe, I feared that the original Rioni girls would pick us off one by one since they have the numbers advantage. But seeing that they're not getting along, gives us a little hope.||”|
As the five girls, Yessica, Rachel, Amy, Lauren, and Samantha, head back to the center of camp, they see Heather and Agatha having an arguement about the events of the last Tribal Council.
Heather: "What the hell Agatha! We trusted you and then you go and pull that stunt at Tribal!"
Agatha: "You trusted us? Martin and I trusted you guys! You have no idea how hurt and shocked we were when we saw those three votes for Gerardo come out of the blue."
Heather: "You were supposed to follow our lead! This just shows your true colors you old hag!
Just then, Samantha barges into their arguement.
Samantha: "Hey! I don't know what happened at your Tribal Council, but you have no right calling her that!"
Heather: "Yes, you don't know what happened, so mind your own business!"
Samantha: "I'm on this tribe now, so this automatically became my business."
Rachel then breaks up the fight, and Heather retreats into the trees as the rest look on.
|“||I already experienced this with Hazel and Heather. I don't want to relive it again with Samantha and Heather.||”|
Meanwhile, at the all-male Alazani camp, Sebastian gathers his original Alazani tribemates together. He proposes to them that since they have the advantage in numbers as opposed to the original Rioni members, they should stick together and wipe the rest off.
Sebastian: "So it will be us four in the end. If we ever lose, we just have to vote them off one by one."
Van: "That's great!"
Derek: "Guy power!"
|“||I'm so glad I decided to ditch the girls when I did. By doing so, it got me in deep with these people.||”|
|“||When Sebastian said that it will be "us four in the end", I really hope he meant him, me, Derek, and Amy. I don't trust Van. He was willing to throw his old allies away so quickly, who says he won't do it to us?||”|
After seeing the original Alazanis disperse, Gerardo gets worried and gathers Martin and Aaron to have their own meeting.
Aaron: "Why the hell did you call me? I don't want to be anywhere near that traitor!"
Martin: "I said I was sorry, jeez!"
Gerardo: "Look guys, I know you guys don't like eachother right now, but we really need to work together, or else these people will knock us out one after another."
Martin: "Well, I'll agree if Aaron agrees."
Aaron: "Sure. Whatever."
|“||I'm in such a dire situation right now. My real allies are still over at Rioni, while the ones I have here barely want to work with each other. I have no idea how I'm going to make this work, but I'll give it a try.||”|
As the sun begins to set behind the overshadowing mountains, Heather, who is now alone in her own shelter as the rest of the females permanently relocated to Yessica and Rachel's shelter, contemplates her wittling options in the game.
|“||I'm pretty much screwed. My only saving grace would be finding the Hidden Immunity Idol, but after trying to find the damn thing for hours, I ended up with squat. Hopefully, we win the next Reward Challenge tomorrow so that I could get the next clue.||”|
The next morning, Rachel wakes up before everyone else and, in an act of generosity, decides to make breakfast for the rest of her tribe, including Heather. Cooking the fish that the tribe had caught with their fishing gear, the rest of the tribes wakes up to a delicious feast.
Lauren: "Wow Rachel! You did all this?"
Yessica: "You must have waken up so early!"
Rachel: "It's nothing! Just felt like doing something nice to make the tribe feel better after yesterday."
Amy: "Well thank you!"
Rachel: "You're welcome!"
|“||This was just a gesture of good will towards my new tribemates since they weren't able to get the best welcome yesterday. We can't win challenges if everyone's not happy!||”|
At noon, both tribes meet up for their first Reward Challenge as new tribes. The castways smile upon seeing their old tribe members in a different tribe, but when Aaron gives Heather a smirk, she mouthes the words "Help me" to him. Jeff then introduces the challenge and reveals the rewards. The challenge then commences.
Gerardo and Agatha go up for their tribes first. Gerardo manages to hit the top-right wooden tile on his tribe's grid, while Agatha misses her shot. Sebastian and Yessica then go up. Sebastian hits the center-left tile on the grid while Yessica puts her tribe on the board by hitting the bottom-center tile. On the third round, Martin and Amy go up. However, they both miss their shot. Van and Lauren are up next. Van slightly misses his shot while Lauren hits the center tile. On the next shot, Rachel aims for the top-center tile as it's the one her tribe needs to get the entire column, but she misses. Derek manages to take out the center-right tile, giving his tribe more chances to win. Aaron and Samantha then go up. Aaron slings his coconut toward the center tile, but it ends up hitting a post. Samantha ends up hitting the bottom-left tile for her tribe. On the seventh round, Heather and Daniel go up next. Heather takes the first shot, but despite having three tiles that would win her tribe the challenge if hit, she ends up taking out the center-right tile. On Daniel's turn, he easily manages to hit the center tile, winning his tribe the reward.
|“||Great! Just great! Winning this reward and getting the clue to the idol would have kept me here for three more days, and I end up just blowing it!||”|
The men come back to their camp fully elated with their reward win, in which they chose to pick the tarp. Aaron offers to place the tarp on the shelter and while doing so, finds the clue to the idol and tucks in into his pocket. After finishing, he goes off alone.
Aaron: "Throughout your camp, many idols are scattered, but finding one will not really matter. All of the idols are fake but one, find the real idol and the game you have won. What the hell? This is the same clue that we got back at Rioni!"
|“||This stupid clue just told me what I already knew. But it did tell me what no one in this tribe even knows about it, so the idol is probably still hiding somewhere around here.||”|
Aaron spends some time looking for the idol, trying to remember what the past clues had said. After an hour or so, he finally retreats back to the shelter.
Over at Rioni, all the females, excluding Heather, are huddled in the shelter talking about who'd they vote out if they were to lose the Immunity Challenge the next day. They all mutually agree that it's Heather's time to go.
Amy: "I think it has to be Heather. Ever since we came to this tribe, she's been nothing but mean to us."
Lauren: "Yeah, she's a total bitch!"
Yessica: "At least you haven't lived with her since Day 1!
All the girls begin to chuckle and giggle with every deragotory remark about Heather. In the distance, Heather is able to hear every comment that's said about her. She gives one more attempt to find the idol, but with the darkness looming, she calls off her unsuccessful search. She spends the night sleeping in her now spacious, but lonely shelter.
The next morning, heavy winds wake up the Alazani men as they discover that the roof had been blown off their shelter. They also discover that someone had left the lid to their container full of food open, leaving it susceptible to bugs.
Daniel: "How did roof fly off like that? I thought it was tightly secured."
Sebastian: "Aaron must not have tied it strong enough when he put the tarp over it."
Derek: "Hey Sebastian! Come over here! Look at all these bugs flying out of our food supply. Who left it open?
Martin: "I'm so sorry guys! I think I must have forgotten to close it before I went to sleep yesterday."
Sebastian: "Well, we still have a full container of food left and we can just secure the roof on correctly, so I don't think it's a big deal."
|“||What are Martin and Aaron thinking?! We're barely hanging on a thread, so it's not a good time to get all this negative attention on ourselves. We better win immunity today.||”|
Both tribes meet up later for their next Immunity Challenge. When Jeff explains the challenge, the men seem uncomfortable at first, but are able to shrug it off. The challenge then begins. For the women, Amy manages to use her small stature to quickly traverse across the beam, but the men don't fall far behind as Derek, who is first up for Alazani, goes across the beam quickly as well. After that, however, both tribes seem to have a difficult time getting across the beam. In her fifth attempt, Lauren is finally able to cross the beam, getting the women in the lead. The men struggle with Martin, but after taking a cautious approach, he is finally able to get through. The men learn from this, and are able to get both Sebastian and Van across, stealing the lead from the girls. Samantha is able to get across for the women, but so is Gerardo for the men. And with only Daniel and Aaron left for the Alazani, they easily get across, earning the new Alazani tribe their second win, and thus sending the Rioni tribe to Tribal Council. As the men celebrate their win, Aaron goes up to Heather and gives her a hug. They then go their separate ways.
At Rioni, issues between Samantha and Heather leads to another arguement in which Rachel tries to intervene in. She proves successful as Heather goes back to her shelter.
Samantha: "I can't wait to see her torch get snuffed."
Yessica: "The sooner we can get her out, the better."
|“||I can't believe how Heather managed to make it this far into the game. But nonetheless, her journey ends tonight.||”|
Later that day, Rioni arrives at Tribal Council. They place their torches in their holes, and sit down. Jeff then starts his "Probsting" session. He asks Rachel how everyone dealt with the tribe switch. She says that she, along with everyone else, were completely stunned by the way the new tribes were created. He then asks her how the new tribemembers had adjusted to their new tribe, to which she brings up the fight between Samantha and Heather. Jeff turns to Samantha and asks her what happened. She states that Heather was just being her horrible self and that somebody had to step up to her. Jeff asks her who she wants out and Samantha replies with Heather. Jeff asks everyone else the same question and they reply with Heather. Jeff asks Heather how she feels about it, and she states that she predicted it. The time comes for the seven women to vote and they all do so.
Jeff: "If anyone wants to play a Hidden Immunity Idol, now's the time to do so."
Heather: "About that Jeff. These people should learn that they can't count me out. Here you go."
Much to the horror of everyone else, Heather goes and hands Jeff the idol.
Jeff: "The rules of Survivor state that if a Hidden Immunity Idol is played, any votes cast against that person do not count and the person with the next highest number of votes will be voted out. This is a Hidden Immunity Idol. Any votes cast against Heather will not count. Time to read the votes."
The girls' worst dreams come true as every vote for Heather that Jeff reads is negated.
Jeff: "1st vote.. Heather, does not count. Heather, Heather, Heather. Nobody has any votes yet. 5th vote.. Heather, Heather. That's six votes for Heather which do not count. One vote left... the seventh person voted out of Survivor: Caucasus... Rachel. Rachel, that's one vote and for tonight, that's enough. Come bring me your torch."
Still suprised by the vote and the fact that Heather chose to eliminate Rachel, everyone gives Rachel a hug before Jeff tells her that the "tribe has spoken".
Hidden Immunity Idol)
Samantha, Agatha, Yessica,
Amy, Rachel & Lauren
(votes not counted)
Rachel (1 vote)
|“||This vote is strictly personal.||”|
|“||Things cannot get any better. First we take out the underling, and now the king pin.||”|
|“||I'm sorry for this vote, but my teammates and I agree that we don't want your presence around camp anymore.||”|
|“||You're so mean!||”|
|“||Farewell you red-headed devil!||”|
|“||Heather, although I appreciate the idol you gave me, it was a foolish mistake by you.||”|
|“||This vote should be for Samantha for obvious reasons, but this might be my only chance to take you out. I'm sorry, but you're too likable to be allowed to go any farther.||”|
|“||I really didn't see this coming, but that's how the game works. I was so naive I didn't even think about an idol being played, but I believe I played the best game I could and I wouldn't change a thing. I wish good luck to the competitors still in the game.||”|
