|"Fight to Survive"|
|Season||Survivor: The Beginning|
This is the 9th episode of Survivor: The Beginning .
Previously On Survivor...
Everyone was strategizing at Sarabah. Bob and Peter feared for their lives, being the last remaining of Sabah. Bob was a target for being the bigger physical threat. In the reward challenge, Charlie won the chance to see a video from his father and send a video back. In the Immunity challenge, Violet managed to win. Back at camp, it was no secret that either Bob or Peter would be going. They made an attempt to turn the votes against Vanessa. But it was no use, Bob was voted out, leaving Peter on his own. Eight are left, who will be voted out tonight?
Reward Challenge: Out on a Limb
Contestants will go on a web course and collect medallions. First to get all medallions wins. If someone falls off, they're out of the challenge.
Reward: A barbecue and letters from home.
Winner: Jane (shared with Violet)
Immunity Challenge: Squared Off
On a giant square puzzle, contestants move a square at a time, while flipping over the previous square. When a contestant can no longer move, they're out. Last person wins.
Walter and Jane realized that they're running out of food. So Walter went fishing. Afterwards, Jane began to think that Walter would become a likability threat.
|“||Walter is beginning to frighten me. No one has thought to target him because everyone likes him. He just might be a threat.||”|
Meanwhile, Peter was depressed. He knew that he was next to go unless he won Immunity. There was no turning Sarawak against each other. Later, Violet spoke with Vanessa and Benny. She claimed that Peter was now the target on everyone's mind, so there was no need to strategize at the moment. But if Peter won Immunity, they would vote Jane off.
|“||I feel bad for Peter. The poor guy's gotta fight to survive. Everyone's gunning for him.||”|
Meanwhile, Ryan met with Charlie. He brought up the idea of forming a guy's alliance with Walter and Benny, and blindsiding Jane. Charlie was afraid of this idea because guy alliances don't usually work. But Charlie agreed and they went to Walter and Benny. Ryan told them that girls are the most dangerous things in Survivor and they need to be taken out. Walter and Benny liked this idea and the four Sarawak men formed a guy's alliance.
|“||Girls are dangerous. I have no problem joining a men's alliance.||”|
Sarabah met Probst for the reward challenge. They were excited to find out about the reward. In the challenge, Jane managed to not fall off and collect the medallions, winning reward. Jane got to choose one other person to go with her to the reward. She chose Violet. Jane revealed in a confessional that Violet was the perfect person to choose to hide who she was aligned with.
During the reward feast with Probst, Violet asked Jane about aligning with her and Vanessa to go to the final three. Jane replied by saying that she'll think about it. The two were then able to read letters from home. Back at camp, Walter cooked the fish he caught for everyone. When Jane and Violet returned, Jane secretly told the Sarawak guys what Violet's plan was. Ryan said that Violet may be someone to eliminate for being too strategic. Jane told him not to worry about it.
|“||Violet can't win, but it's not her time yet.||”|
Sarabah met Probst for their Immunity challenge. In the challenge, Charlie was out first. Followed by Benny, then Ryan, then Vanessa, then Peter, then Walter, then Violet. So Jane won Immunity.
Back at camp, Jane was sure that it would be Peter to be voted out. But Ryan had other ideas. Ryan suggested to his guy's alliance that they should vote out Violet for being too threatening. Walter was hesitant, though. Peter figured that Charlie may be getting the most votes for being too strong, so he figured that Charlie would be the safest vote.
|“||I really don't know who to vote. Charlie's pretty strong, maybe people will be voting for him for being a physical threat?||”|
At Tribal Council, Walter decided to side with the guys and Violet was blindsided in a 4-3-1 vote. Vanessa was left on her own. The remaining seven then returned to camp.
Violet (4 votes)
Benny, Charlie, Ryan & Walter
Peter (3 votes)
Jane, Vanessa & Violet
Charlie (1 vote)
|“||I don't know who else to vote.||”|
|“||This is so wrong. It really should be Peter tonight.||”|
|“||Peter, I'm sorry. You were just put on a bad tribe.||”|
|“||Could someone please explain to me what happened? I was convinced that it was Sarawak to the end. I was doing so well, too. That's really depressing. I had this game, but I was had.||”|
