Challenges[]

Immunity Challenge: Plunge, Pull, Pop
For this challenge, nine contestants from each will compete. Three have to go on a raft, while three will pull a rope, which will get the raft through the water to a platform. At the platform is an underground cage with bamboo running through it. On the bamboo are six life preservers, in different parts of the cage. The castaways will have to go underwater and pull the bamboo to release the rings. Once all nine rings are collected, the three will be pulled back to shore on the rafts. The rings will then be used to be thrown on six poles, one ring per pole. The tribe who accomplishes this first wins.
Winner: Ghalilah

Story[]

Night 15[]

A single chord rings out through the air as the view is opened up to an ominous shot of the desert at night. The camera moves to show the green tribe flag for one quick second before the footsteps of the remaining Ghalilah tribe can be heard, scaring away an approaching scorpion in the process. The view is panned up to show Alan placing his and the women's torches near the closer of the two huts before taking a seat with them next to the fire.

Alan(Rubbing his stomach): Ugh, I can still taste those burgers.

Zarah(Nodding): Me too. I would've eaten more if the other tribe would've just shut it for a minute or two with the fightin'. I was too busy watchin' them that I forgot I had food t eat!

Alan chuckles and nods, expressing similar views about the situation as the camera trains over to show Kelsey, who's face and and disposition remain indifferent to all the chatting happening right next to her.

Coming back to camp tonight was honestly pretty surreal for me. Is that the right word?(Pausing for a moment before shaking her head) Either way, I didn't think that I'd be back here after this last Tribal. It was me against the alliance of Alan, Zarah, and Maurice and I was the clear odd one out. However, things ended up switching after all. Maurice went home and I could not be happier to be back with a full belly and in this crappy camp of ours.(Smiling widely)

–Kelsey

Taking notice to her silence, Zarah decides to see how the flight attendant is doing after such a sudden turn of events.

Zarah(In a comforting manner): How you holdin' up, Kelsey?

As if waking up from a deep sleep, Kelsey's face and body jolt awake before cocking her head in Zarah's direction.

Kelsey(Slowly): I'm doing alright. Just trying to process everything, you know? I'm really thankful that you guys kept me. I wasn't expecting it at all, but I'm so glad that you changed your minds.

Zarah smiles and nods as Alan decides jumps into the conversation.

Alan: It's sad to see Maurice go with that much heaviness weighing on him, but I think that if we want any hope at moving forward, then we'll need a tribe that has their heads and hearts in the game. Not at home.

Kelsey nods, happy to see Alan treating her with some form of kindness for once as Zarah speaks up.

Zarah(Pointing to the two of them): And movin' forward also means puttin' aside these stupid little grudges that you two have against each other.

Alan(Nodding): I'd like nothing more. Things have been pretty rough for us up to this point. I don't think we anywhere to go but up from now on.

Kelsey(Smiling): I agree completely. If a merge is on its way, then we need to be strong together with Riley.

The other two affirm this statement as they continue to talk about burying the hatchet between all three of them and unifying for a potential upcoming merger.

They say that things in this game can change on a dime and boy, were they right!(Giggling) Mending things between me and Alan is smart because if he is being genuine with me then that means one less enemy for me to worry about. However, both he and Zarah having been running the Ghalilah tribe like devils from the very first day! Like, they do not care about breaking promises and turning on people, they've made that pretty clear. I am thankful that they saved me, but I need to see how things go from here on out because tonight's vote has only invigorated me, even more, to play my own game out here.

–Kelsey

The view flashes between all three of the people sitting around the fire before making a quick transition over to the Tibat tribe after hours.

Tibat[]

While the music behind Ghalilah's entrance is soft and mysterious, the pan into Tibat's oasis is full of foreboding and erratic tunes to accompany the mood that the tribe enveloped during their last Tribal Council. The five remaining members of the purple tribe are viewed making their way in, setting their torches down, and slowly but surely gathering around the main camp area after some initial chatting and whispering. This, however, has an exception as Matthew is quick to storm off on his own after having his ally get so brutally blindsided before his eyes. Seeing him angrily march off, Dexter shakes his head while Debbie shrugs.

Debbie(Nonchalantly): I'm just glad that I'm still around. Thank you guys for keeping with the plan and not falling for his and Jenna's BS.

Both Silas and Dexter nod and welcome Debbie's thanks before the three of them and Sheri begin to casually chat around the roaring fire.

Before Tribal, I had found out that Jenna had been scheming around with Matthew to try and pull the wool over my eyes. It very well could have been me tonight and those two were certainly confident that they had Dex and Silas wrapped up tight. However, cockiness got the better of both of them and their entire plan blew up in their faces. It was so satisfying to watch that all happen in front of me knowing how two-faced and awful they'd been to me and everyone else in the tribe. I know that I'm definitely still not in the clear and there are things that need to be addressed with the whole Dexter and Silas originally wanting me out stuff, but for now I'm just gonna smile and be happy that I'm still in the game.(Grinning widely)

–Debbie

As the camera cuts out from Debbie's late night confessional, it moves back to show the earlier four conversing about everything that has happened in the past few hours from after the challenge until their dramatic Tribal Council.

Silas(To Debbie and Sheri): You guys were pretty vicious with Jenna though. I wasn't expecting it to get that heated.

Sheri rolls her eyes and leans back as Debbie shrugs her shoulders.

Debbie(Shrugging): I was just so angry, you know? She has the gall to call me a liar when she's the one that's been plotting her own ally's demise for the past few days. Despicable. I'm so happy to see her go and me stay.

Silas nods, understanding why Debbie's sour feelings towards her former alliance member as Dexter pipes up.

Dexter(Looking around): I have no idea where Matty went. He's been gone for a while now.

Sheri(Scathingly): Let him mope. It's all he's good for.

Debbie(Nodding): True. Moping and bitching. We're all good to vote him out next, right? He's a confirmed snake after tonight.

The other three all verbally agree to Matthew being their next target as the camera widens to show the restaurant manager walking back up to camp just as they're finished speaking about him. He gives death glares to all four of them as he saunters past the fire. As a period of awkward silence starts to ensue, Dexter decides to bravely end all of the hostility and address Matthew directly.

Dexter(Turning around): You doing okay, Matt?

Matthew(His brow furrowed): Um, sure. Can I have a word with you? Alone.

Dexter solemnly nods and stands up from his cozy spot adjacent to the fire before he and Matthew make their way down to the lagoon to have it out.

I am absolutely steaming about Tribal Council tonight. Dexter, Silas, and Sheri B all promised to me and Jenna that it was Debbie going home. And, as evident from the vote tonight, we believed them like idiots even though they were playing our asses the entire time. Now Jenna's out and I'm back at camp with four people whose necks I want to wring right now to be perfectly honest.(Groaning loudly) I've been betrayed, humiliated, and I'm probably the next one on the chopping block after tonight. How could things get any worse for ol' Matty Saratino right now?

–Matthew

Once they are out of earshot of the others, Matthew immediately goes on the offense when questioning Dexter about the events that transpired during Tribal Council of which he was not aware of.

Matthew(Angrily): What the hell was that back there? You told me several times that you were good with writing down Debbie!

Dexter(Trying to defuse the situation): Just calm down, Matty. I did make that promise to you and Jenna, and I intended to keep it wholeheartedly.

Matthew(In a very aggressive manner): Then why didn't you? What in the world could have caused you to make such an incredibly stupid decision like keeping Debbie over Jenna?

Not liking Matthew's volatile behavior, Dexter can't help but shake his head. Noticing this, the restaurant manager lets him have it.

Matthew(Getting fired up): Don't bob your head at me like I'm a freaking child! Give me an actual answer, dude!

Dexter(Composing himself): It's because you and Jenna trapped me into a corner. Were you aware that she told Sheri everything about the Debbie vote?

Matthew's boisterous tone lowers as he nods his head, knowing full well that Jenna had talked to Sheri about voting Debbie.

Dexter: Sheri exposed everything to Debbie, and those two went on a witch hunt for my head after that. Debbie was yelling and hollering at me and I had no choice but to change the vote or it was my ass on the line. I wanted to work with you guys, but I can't do that if you're just gonna run your mouths so eagerly without informing your allies. I never once heard from you or Jenna that Sheri was supposed to be in on the plan!

Getting a bit jostled by Dexter's words, Matthew's resolve weakens and he begins to clam up more.

Matthew(Nodding his head slowly): I-I'm sorry about that. I didn't realize that telling her was a bad thing. It was Jenna's idea, after all.

Dexter(Shrugging): I don't doubt that. I'm sorry for turning my back on you like I did, but I have my reasons just like anyone else. I still want to work with you Matty and I know that Silas and Tanner feel the same. But we can't be having these misunderstandings and miscommunications or it is never going to work out.

Biting his lip, Matthew nods his head again.

Matthew(Taking a deep breath): I know. I trust you guys too, I don't want everything to fall apart because I know that I have no one else. I'm sorry about everything, man.

Noticing that the usually loud and confident Bostonian is now stuttering and tripping over his own words, Dexter eases his resolve as well before patting Matthew on the back.

Dexter(Smiling): We'll talk more in the morning, okay? It's been a long day for all of us.

Matthew sighs and nods, asking the student to leave him be for a few minutes. Dexter agrees before heading back up to the center area of the Tibat camp.

I was honestly really annoyed by the way that Matthew approached me. It just showed to me that he and Jenna were as unhinged and uncontrollable as I had pegged them to be. Matthew in particular doesn't know when to keep his mouth closed and as a result, he was screaming at me about a misunderstanding that he didn't even realize was a misunderstanding.(Pausing and widening his eyes) It's like, seriously? He calmed down eventually and showed his vulnerable side, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm wary about the dude now. He can promise his loyalty to me a thousand times over and I'm still gonna be skeptical because that's how this game goes. It's going to take a lot to weather his storm, and there's a point where you don't want to deal with someone like that, you know? Even if it is a game for a million dollars.

–Dexter

A shot of Matthew sulking by himself on the shore of the lagoon is seen before the scene cuts to the intro sequence of the season.

Day 16[]

Summit[]

The view is opened back up to a sweeping, beautiful, panoramic of the Arabian Desert, showing countless numbers of sand dunes with the little blotches of plant life and civilization to fill in the cracks of an extremely amazing picture. The camera eventually moves in on an isolated cottage that is looking over the Persian Gulf, settling into the shot before switching from the interior of the cottage to a complete view of the bed. Fully up and at 'em, Tanner stretches his arms out, places them behind his head, and grins. Eventually, Riley too awakens with a groan before turning over on her back and sitting up. Tanner is quick to greet her as undoes her hair from the bun she left it in overnight.

Tanner(Smiling warmly): Man, this bed is a dreamboat. How'd you sleep?

Riley(With a bit of sass): I slept great discounting the big dude who spent the better half of the night rolling around and snoring.

Feeling the sting from her diss, Tanner can’t help but shake his head and smile.

Tanner(Chuckling): Come on, was I really that obnoxious?

Riley nods and giggles as she moves to grab her fleece shirt and put it on over her buff. Tanner simply smiles and dozes back off, trying to enjoy every second of sleep that he can get before the two of them have to vacate the cottage.

Man, after last night I don't think I ever want to leave this place. If only Probst would let me play the rest of the game in this safe haven because it has been a true experience so far.(Chuckling) I've loved everything about it. I got lots of food in my stomach, a refreshing shower, a good night's sleep, and all of it with Riley, who's already become one of my favorite people out here. She's way cooler than at least half of the people on Tibat if I'm being honest here. We may not have game talked a whole bunch, but we still had a lot of fun with our limited time out here in this paradise. Like I said, I don't want it to stop.(Smiling sheepishly)

–Tanner

After slipping on some clothes and stretching out her limbs, Riley climbs out of the bed and spins around to face Tanner.

Riley(Half-joking): Do you think that they might give us breakfast too if we ask them?

Tanner(Shaking his head): We've already been spoiled to hell. They'd never be THAT nice to us.

Riley(Rolling her eyes): Dang, and I was SO looking forward to croissants and Belgian waffles.

Riley begins to walk towards the center of the room with a playful smile on her face as the model simply chuckles and shakes his head again, his eyes still closed and resting. However, as Riley makes her way over towards the center tables, she notices a certain object that has been placed right beside the curtained door to the building. Her eyes widening at the glimmering lamp, she is swift to trot over and investigate.

Riley(Out loud): Oh my God, is that what I think it is?

While Tanner remains motionless and relaxed on the bed in light of Riley's outburst, she still exclaims loudly at the sight of the revered lamp being present in their cozy little getaway.

Riley(Smiling): Looks like this lamp has come back to haunt us again.

These words are enough to get Tanner to sit up in the bed and see exactly what Riley is going on about before his jaw drops at the first glance of Aladdin's lamp in her hands.

Tanner(Raising an eyebrow): What the hell?

Intrigued, Tanner quickly puts on a gray undershirt before hastily stumbling his way over to where Riley is standing on the other side of the room.

Riley: This note is the same as the others. It's the same choice and the same temptation.

Tanner(Nodding): Yeah, though it's all thanks to this thing that we're here in the first place, you know?

Riley(Shrugging): True.

After a few seconds of weird and unnerving silence, Riley finally looks over to Tanner and asks him the obvious question.

Riley(Showing some outward nervousness): So...are we going to open it or what?

Tanner(In a lackadaisical fashion): I mean, why not? It's been opened every other time it's come to our camp so we might as well just nosedive into this one too.

Riley smiles, looking back down at the very object that is responsible for her going on this summit and getting to skip Tribal Council, feeling a bit wary of what kind of power it might hold this time around.

Waking up this morning, all well-rested and whatnot, only to find Aladdin's Lamp back in our possession was very nerve-wracking, to say the least. The summit twist that it unleashed did end up helping me and Tanner this time around, but that only makes me even more worried that opening it now is going to release some kind of bad thing.(Sighing) Tanner's pretty nonchalant about the whole issue, telling me that they opened it every time that they had it at Tibat, which was the same for us at Ghalilah too and nothing terrible ever came out of it. Still, this whole thing feels very fishy and I'm just praying that I don't accidentally get myself kicked off by calling on this genie of a twist or whatever it is.(Giggling nervously)

–Riley

Anxiety starting to bubble up inside of her, Riley decides to take the plunge and pull the top off of the lamp. Her eyes clenched shut, the veterinary technician slowly opens them to see a small, rolled-up, piece of paper amidst a bunch of wooden objects piled up inside of the lamp. Riley pulls the scroll out first, knowing that it will most likely provide her with an explanation of what she has just opened as Tanner makes a confused face at the pieces inside of the lamp.

Tanner(Weirded out): What are those?

Riley: I don't know. This will probably explain everything.

Looking at the note, Tanner immediately nods before Riley unravels it and prepares to read the news out loud for both of them to hear clearly.

Riley(Reading aloud): "Congratulations, summit-goers, you have just shuffled the tribes!".

With those words spoken out in the open, the expressions on both Tanner's and Riley's faces drop completely.

Tanner(Taken aback): Holy s**t! We just switched up the freaking tribes?! Are you sure you read that correctly?!

Riley(Nodding nervously): My eyes are scanning it over and over again and it still says the same thing. Oh my God, that is insane! We just changed the entire game just like that!

Riley snaps her fingers to illustrate her point as Tanner vehemently nods in agreement.

Tanner(Taking a deep breath): Keep reading! What else does it say?

Riley(Continuing on): "Inside this magical lamp you will find twelve chess pieces. These pieces each represent the players left in the game after you left for your summit. Use these at your own discretion in order to figure out between the both of you which castaways you want on your new tribe and which castaways you want to exclude. Communication is key and remember that the actual picking will not happen until after you leave the summit grounds. The chess pieces are merely present as a tool for both of you to use in order to plan ahead and come up with options. You and you alone will be picking the members of your new tribe. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your summit!".

Indicating that that is the last sentence on the note, Riley immediately grabs the lamp and dumps out all of the wooden objects, now revealed to be chess pieces, onto the center table. All of them sprawled out in the open now, it is easy to see the names of each player left in the game, including the two of them, prominently plastered onto each individual piece. As Riley looks closer, Tanner simply shakes his head in disbelief.

Tanner(Sighing nervously): I never in a million years thought that something like this would come out of the lamp.

Riley: That's how they get you. Treat us with all these nice little advantages for a while before dropping a bombshell when we would never expect it to come.

Tanner(Nodding): Yeah, that's temptation for you, I guess.

Riley nods her head as the two of them closely inspect the fourteen wooden chess pieces that have been provided for them to lay out how they want their new tribes to look.

That lamp really played a fast one on us. I did not see a twist like that coming from a mile away. I mean, goddamn.(Chuckling nervously) Switching up the tribes is a huge thing to have to do at this stage in the game. It's going to shuffle all the deals, alliances, and rivalries that people have with each other and give them opportunities to either rise to the occasion or get blindsided up the wazoo! I'm glad that I'm gonna have a say in who ends up on my tribe but damnit, I was in such a good position on Tibat and now this Aladdin has come to take that all away. Thanks for the summit, jerk!(Smiling and shaking his head)

–Tanner

After cutting out from the confessional, Tanner and Riley are seen pulling up some armchairs to the center table so that they can sit down and start to analyze what to do with the feat that has been presented in front of them.

Tanner(Holding up one of the chess pieces): I still can't believe that we have to shuffle the tribes ourselves.

Riley(With a bit of determination): I know. It's happening though and "communication is key" as the note said. We need to actually work together if we want to end up in good positions within our new tribes.

Tanner nods in agreement before adding in his own insight to the discussion.

Tanner(Sitting back): Since we have to choose teams and all, it's only natural that we'd want to be in a group that we feel comfortable in. I think I may have a little compromise that will allow us to start constructing tribes that we're satisfied with AND exchange some info for our summit.

Riley(Curious): Oh, really? And what would that compromise be?

Tanner: I say we both say the name of the person that we absolutely do not want to have anywhere near us on our respective tribes out loud and at the same time. It gives us an idea of the pool from which we can choose and it gives both of us an idea of what the other's position on their current tribe is. Info plus security, right?

Riley's eyebrows raise for a moment, considering the idea in her head for a hot second before smiling and nodding.

Riley: I like that. The trade-offs seem pretty fair and it would be a pretty big waste to go this whole time without talking ANY strategy about our current tribes. You just better not wimp out on me though, okay?

Tanner(Laughing): I promise there won't be any funny business. From one player to another.

Seemingly satisfied, both contestants sit up in their chairs and take a minute or two to get a name in their head, one that each of them doesn't want on their new tribe.

Tanner(Counting down): If you're ready, then we say the names on three. One...two...three!

Riley(In succession with Tanner): Zarah!

Tanner(In succession with Riley): Matthew!

As if by instinct, the two of them laugh at the out-of-the-box methods that they're using to reveal tribal information to each other as Riley is the first to pipe up.

Riley(Pepped-up): Okay, cool. So what's the dealio with Matthew then? Do you hate him or something?

Tanner(Shaking his head): No, I don't hate the dude at all. For me, he's just the least trustworthy out of all of my tribemates. He's loud, he doesn't have a filter, he has an argument with Debbie on the daily, and he's just a bit unpleasant to be around sometimes.

Riley(Smirking): Oh...so you do hate him then?

Tanner hangs his head and chuckles again, realizing that he literally listed out a bunch of negative characteristics for Matthew and why he doesn't want him on his tribe.

Tanner(Bouncing back): He can be a nice guy when he wants to be. I just don't think he makes a good ally since he has a hard time keeping things to himself. He doesn't know when to shut up and that can be real deadly if I happened to be on a tribe with him again.

Riley(Feeling satisfied): Nice save.

Tanner(Smirking): Alright then, Miss smartass. What's your beef with Zarah?

Riley(Sighing): To me, Zarah is easily the sneakiest player on Ghalilah. She comes off as this very sweet and competitive mom type, but she is way more than that. She's so friggin' strategic and dangerous that I know that trusting her would definitely be my downfall. One-hundred percent.

Tanner nods, understanding the situation before questioning her a bit.

Tanner(Prodding at her for more info): What has she done to make you think she's a dangerous player?

Riley(Letting it loose): Her manipulation of the older guys for starters. They all have a really obvious alliance and Alan is the de facto leader, but Zarah is pulling the strings from behind closed doors. Sawyer and me tried to get her out at the last vote, but she got everyone to turn against him and he ended up going home instead.

Tanner(Leaning back): Damn. She sure seems like something else. You guys must've gotten all the crazy strategists over there because I haven't seen anything like that on Tibat yet.

Riley(Nodding enthusiastically): I know! They're so good that it's almost scary.

Tanner gives her a nod back as he pulls the two chess pieces with the names "Matthew" and "Zarah" out of the pile.

Tanner(Holding the pieces): So that means that Matthew is going to your tribe and I have Zarah on mine.

Riley nods before giving off a very mysterious smile.

Riley: Wow, so I guess we just made our first deal then?

Tanner(Grinning): It doesn't have to stop there.

Riley playfully rolls her eyes as Tanner's resolve isn't phased, knowing exactly what he wants and how to get it.

There's nothing coming to my mind that suggests that an alliance with Riley would be a bad idea for my game. The chick is cool, she's chill, she's funny, and I think that she's in a desperate enough situation that she's willing to cut some deals in order to further her time out here. She wants in for the long haul, and I'm willing to bring her along. Giving each other information and helping each other through the tribe pick shows that there is already a level of trust there and I think that continuing that would be beneficial for both of our games. No matter what, this tribe switch is gonna leave us both in risky positions but if we can work through that, we could be running this whole damn show!(Grinning optimistically)

–Tanner

In a moment where the strategy seems to have lapsed for a bit, the two summit-goers are seen fiddling around with all the different players' chess pieces.

Tanner(Eying his and Riley's): Woah, I never noticed but our pieces are the king and queen.

Riley(Raising an eyebrow): Wow, really?

The vet tech takes a closer look at the two wooden pieces as Tanner gives off a big, goofy, grin.

Tanner(Half-joking): King Tanner has a pretty nice ring to it, right?

Riley(Ignoring his humor): Oh, I think I see. Then what are the rest of these pieces? They all look like they have the same design.

Tanner(A bit surprised): They're all pawns. Have you seriously never played chess before?

Riley simply shrugs and nods, indicating that it was never something she had any interest in as a kid.

Tanner: That surprises me. Well, you want to know how it works? As a resident chess expert, I do so enjoy explaining the game to newbs.

Though his tone is a bit condescending, the model gives Riley a sheepish smile, indicating that all of his gravitas is most likely a joke. A shot of Tanner talking and explaining chess to Riley is shown as the camera remains on a close-up of her face.

It's pretty hilarious to see Tanner teach me how to play chess when I was the captain of my chess team in high school.(Giggling) I could call it irony, but it was more like a straight-up lie. It is weird to be so deceptive, but that's what this game is about. I'm just the sweet, naive, weirdo from Illinois who has more bubbles in her head than brains. That's all I am to them while I quietly calculate my next move to get myself ahead. I don't want to be someone like Tanner, Alan, Zarah, or Sawyer. People who are so open about their strategies and personalities to everyone else. This game isn't about being "real", this game is about being a survivor. I'm trying to be a survivor by showing everyone else how much of a survivor I'm not. How weird is that?(Smiling widely)

–Riley

The camera shows Riley laughing and having one more good time with Tanner before the view is switched to a panning view of the desert landscape. Overpowering and intense music starts in before the focus is rapidly zoomed around until it settles in on a single spot of vegetation within the sand-filled haven. Jeff is standing in front of the two tribe mats, eager to bring everyone in and get to the inevitable twist that he knows is about to come to fruition in the game.

Probst: Come on in, guys!

The three remaining members of the Ghalilah tribe are observed making their way in and stopping on their bright green mat, anxious and excited smiles lining their faces as Probst motions for Tibat to start coming in.

Probst: Ghalilah getting your first look at the new Tibat tribe. Jenna voted out at the last Tribal Council.

Though there are some raised eyebrows and weirded-out expressions, none of the Ghalilah members seem overly shocked by the purple tribe's decision to oust the accountant from their tribe as all attention goes back to the host.

Probst: We'll now bring in Tanner and Riley, returning from the summit.

All eyes are directed upwards as a helicopter, similar to the one that was observed on the day before, is seen descending near the site that everyone is stationed at currently. Once the chopper has reached solid ground, the two summit-goers are seen disembarking and making their way over to where the rest of their crew is with happy smiles on their faces.

Zarah(To herself): Wow, their hair looks so clean. I wish I had some of that action done for me.

Both Alan and Kelsey nod in agreement with her as Jeff directs the two representatives to stand on opposite sides of him, keeping them from rejoining their tribemates just yet. As they do this, they are able to take note of who is absent from the group that they left the day before. Spotting it immediately, both Tanner and Riley are shocked by the fact that both tribes are now down an extra member, indicating that they both voted someone out. While Riley seems to be very pleased that Kelsey somehow survived her vote, Tanner is only confused and surprised by the absence of Jenna from his tribe. His eyebrows raise as Dexter bites his lip, knowing that the model is going to need to be filled in on the drama that happened at Tibat's last Tribal. Before anyone else can say or do anything though, Probst speaks up.

Probst: Before I let these two get back to their original tribes, I have some news for the rest of you.

Sheri's brow furrows as Alan's eyes widen, anticipating another bomb to be dropped onto the group.

Probst: Drop your buffs. We are switching tribes.

With that announcement now out in the open, dropped jaws and wide-eyed expressions infect the other eight castaways who are all flabbergasted by this sudden turn of the tables. Matthew is seen happily dropping his buff to the ground, Kelsey's mouth gapes open, Silas shakes his head, and Dexter looks more overwhelmed than he has for the entire game as he takes a deep breath in to try and calm himself down.

After all the craziness last night, I felt like I had finally regained some control over my game. I had solidified bonds with Silas and Debbie and even Matty still revealed his inclinations to want to work with me still. But this just throws everything out the window!(Chuckling nervously) I have no idea where I'm going to end up or who I'm going to end up with and I could very well become a sitting duck ready for the shooting if things take a turn for the worst.(Shaking his head)

–Dexter

A shot of the physical therapy student shaking his head is shown as the view moves back to Probst for an explanation.

Probst: Here's how things are going to work. As the respective representatives for their tribes, Tanner will remain on Tibat and Riley will remain on Ghalilah. They and they alone will have the opportunity to select their tribemates in a schoolyard pick, alternating between members of differing tribes. Only they will be able to make the picks and no one else is allowed to tell them or offer them any advice on who to pick.

A quick shot of Alan smirking is shown as both Tanner and Riley are seen looking both eager and anxious about building these new tribes.

Probst: Is everyone clear on how this is going to work?

With hardy nods from all ten of the contestants, Probst hands it off to the two tribe representatives.

Probst: Alright, you two have the floor then. Who goes first is entirely up to you guys to decide.

Tanner(Smiling): Ladies first, I insist.

Riley smiles back and thanks him before abruptly turning and facing the rest of her fellow competitors. Before she can make her choice, Probst chimes in again.

Probst: Remember, your first pick has to be someone from the opposite tribe. That means that Riley has to select one of the former Tibat players first.

Riley nods, understanding what is expected of her as she scans over the pool of people that she has to choose from. Coming up with her pick, she immediately points him out.

Riley: I'm gonna go with...Matthew.

A bit surprised to have been picked so early this time around, Matthew's face lights up with a smile as he jogs over and gives Riley a big hug, introducing himself and thanking her for picking him right off the bat. Jeff quickly directs the attention over to Tanner so that he can make his first pick.

Probst: That means you'll be choosing someone from the original Ghalilah, Tanner.

With a quick nod and glance at his options, the model doesn't hesitate to choose someone right off the bat.

Tanner: Come on over and join purple, Zarah!

With a chuckle and a smirk, Zarah excitedly makes her way over and gives Tanner a hug before standing beside him on the purple mat. Riley can be seen smiling from the other side as Tanner nods, very satisfied with his pick.

Once I saw Riley choose Matty first, I knew that our plan was definitely on at that point. So, in accordance with that, I chose Zarah as my first pick. I'm happy about having her on my tribe because at the very least I can limit her options and keep her grounded from making any big plays. At the very most though I can get her out of this game and take out a massive potential threat to me and my allies later down the road.

–Tanner

A quick shot of Zarah standing on the purple mat is shown before the view moves back over to Riley, who now has to choose someone from her two remaining former tribemates, Alan and Kelsey. Though her first instincts tell her to choose her close friend, she decides to go in a different direction.

Riley: I'm gonna choose Alan next.

With a smirk and a nod, Alan walks over to the green mat to rejoin his former ally and meet his new tribemate as well. Kelsey, though obviously surprised by Riley's decision, keeps most of the emotion bottled up and simply nods, not wanting to draw any unwanted attention towards herself or her allies. The view moves back to Riley biting her lip.

I felt really bad about choosing Alan over Kelsey for my tribe, but it felt like the smartest option in the moment. Kelsey's a lot more sociable and I think she would have an easier time getting along with the other people from Tibat. She'd know how to keep the target off of her back. Alan, on the other hand, is so erratic that I don't know what he would do if I left him to go over to the other tribe. I need to keep him close and monitor him over here with me on Ghalilah so that I can make sure that he doesn't do the things that Alan does.(Smiling)

–Riley

The camera then shifts to show Tanner making his next choice out of his former Tibat tribe members.

Tanner(Grinning): Dex! You're with us.

Feeling relieved that he's getting picked by his close friend and partner in crime, Dexter can't help but smile on his way over to the purple mat. He gives a warm welcome to Zarah before patting Tanner on the back, becoming a little less paranoid and insecure with where his position. Going back over to Riley, she is now surveying the three former purple players that she has to choose from. The camera cycles between shots of Sheri, Silas, and Debbie before the veterinary technician finally makes her choice.

Riley: I'm choosing Debbie next.

Though Debbie grins and happily trots her way over to the Ghalilah mat, Matthew can do nothing but roll his eyes and lean back, feeling disappointed and annoyed that he cannot escape the woman that he has been trying to vote out since the very first day. The feeling is definitely mutual though as Debbie is happy to give big hugs to Alan and Riley before standing over on the opposite side of the restaurant manager. Clearly, she is not thrilled about being on a tribe with him either.

Probst: With only one member of Ghalilah left, it looks like your choice has been made for you, Tanner.

Kelsey solemnly nods to this as she starts to walk over to the Tibat mat.

Tanner(Cheering her up): We would've picked you up anyway. Glad to have you here, Kelsey!

A smile coming to her face, the flight attendant high-fives both of the males on her new tribe before standing next to Zarah and grinning, genuinely relieved to be on a team with the woman who just saved her at the previous Tribal Council.

Probst: Alright, Riley, this is the final choice. Whoever you do not pick to be on your tribe will be put on Tibat.

Nodding and turning her head back, Riley does not take long to come to her decision as she once again points it out.

Riley(Pointing to him): I'm going with Silas. Sorry, girl.

Sheri puts both her hands up, indicating that it's no big deal as the ranchhand excitedly makes his way over to bear hug his tribemates, old and new.

Probst: That means that, Sheri, you're sticking with Tibat.

Sheri(Shrugging): Oh well, purple was always the better color to me anyway.

Zarah and Tanner both chuckle at her sassy remark while Matthew makes a face, happy to at least have her off of his tribe as the plus-sized model gives a smile and a greeting to the new faces on her tribe before turning to face Probst with everyone else.

Probst: And with that, we have two new tribes of five. Here's a fresh bag of buffs for both of you guys.

The host promptly tosses a bag of new buffs to each of the two tribes, all of their members eager to put them on after discarding their dirty, old, buffs from earlier.

Probst: You guys can head back to camp and get to know your new tribemates. The game has changed once again.

Shots of both tribes are highlighted as everyone seems to be getting along and smiling for the moment. Everyone except for one Bostonian who is trying to hide the sour look that is overcoming his face.

When Jeff said we were switching up the tribes, I wanted to do an entire cheer routine or something, man.(Chuckling lightly) I was so excited because I was at the bottom of Tibat after this last vote, so getting the chance to meet new people and make new deals felt really refreshing. However, as luck would freaking have it, I ended up with Debbie again.(Giving wide eyes to the camera) Are you serious, Survivor? I haven't been able to stand this chick from day one and even when it seems like I'm finally going to escape her, I still get backhanded. I don't know if I'm going to be able to deal with her for another three days, man. I just don't know.(Shaking his head)

–Matthew

Shots of Matthew and Debbie walking with the rest of the new Ghalilah tribe are shown before the view cuts to black and transitions to a commercial break.

Tibat[]

The camera comes in with sweeping and bouncy music behind it as it zooms into and settles on the Tibat oasis. The purple flag is prominently featured in a quick shot before the five members of the new Tibat tribe are seen making their way into the camp. With two new members, greetings and introductions abound as everyone seems to have some level of excitement about the switch-up to the tribes.

Dexter(With a big grin): Well, let me give you the official welcome to our camp, ladies!

Both of the former Ghalilah women chuckle and give both Dexter and the other two their thanks for giving them such a warm welcome as they start to look around at their surroundings.

Zarah(Wide-eyed): Damn, this place is a heck of a lot nicer than the crap that we had over at Ghalilah.

Sheri(Half-joking): Really? I always thought our camp was one dump truck away from being a complete trash hole. Guess not.

Dexter's brow furrows a bit at the hostility in Sheri's voice as Zarah simply smiles and laughs it off.

Kelsey(Jumping up and down): Oh my God! Oh my freaking God! Zarah, they have the hammock and the coffee maker over here! Holy hell, I think I might have landed in heaven.

Most of the other castaways at Kelsey's ironic excitement as Dexter speaks up.

Dexter(Nodding): Yeah, that stuff has been really nice to have around here.

Kelsey: Do I have permission to lay on the hammock?

Dexter(Chuckling): Go ahead! This is your home now too, after all!

Kelsey giggles a bit as she climbs into the hammock and stretches her body across the entire length of it, sighing comfortably after it adjusts to her weight. The focus remains on Dexter as he eagerly chats up both of his new tribe members.

Things certainly have escalated quickly in these past few days out here. I mean, both tribes voted someone out and then proceeded to get shuffled up in the course of twelve hours or less. I think it's safe to say that this has all been a whirlwind so far.(Smiling nervously) Being back on Tibat with new people does worry me a little because I don't know these people and how they're playing the game. I had almost everyone figured out on my old tribe and now I gotta start back from the beginning with Kelsey and Zarah. It's difficult and nerve-wracking to have to go back to the drawing board, but I'm willing to do it to secure my position in this game.

–Dexter

The focus moves back to show Kelsey relaxing and smiling on the hammock.

Kelsey(Giggling): Yeah, I could definitely get used to this. Zarah?

Zarah(Nodding): Oh honey, I've already forgotten what our old tribe's name was. This here is where my head is at now.

The other three all grin and chuckle at the eagerness and exhilaration beaming from the two Tibat newbies before the scene quickly switches to show Tanner walking with Dexter off near the forested edges of the lagoon. The physical therapy student looks behind him as he walks, making sure that no one is following them or in earshot of their conversation.

Dexter: So how'd your summit thing go?

Tanner(Downplaying it): It was cool. Obviously food, showers, and a bed were much appreciated. I didn't get to learn too much about the other tribe. The girl was being real cagey with her information. I didn't mention anything either though so you don't have to worry about that.

Dexter nods, feeling a bit at ease as the male model pipes back in with questions of his own.

Tanner(Prying): So how was Tribal Council for you guys? I was surprised to see Jenna gone over Matty or Debbie.

Knowing that this was going to come up, Dexter is quick to answer him.

Dexter(Succinct): She and Matty went completely rogue. They made a plan with me and Silas to vote Debbie out and then leaked everything to Sheri B of all people. Needless to say, the entire plan blew up in my face and the only way I could guarantee my own safety was if I got rid of Jenna. It wasn't my first choice of course, but everything happened so last minute.

Tanner nods slowly, starting to understand the propensity of what happened on his tribe while he was gone as the camera stays honed in on Dexter.

I could tell that Tanner was very shocked to see Jenna go at the last Tribal Council. Before he left, he had originally been in on her plan to blindside Debbie so naturally coming back and seeing her gone would be a big surprise to him and it's not crazy to think that he'd want answers about what happened. I'm just hoping that he understands how forced my hand had been thanks to all the loose lips and that he doesn't hold it against me. We need to be united at this point, especially given the new situation that we've both found ourselves in.

–Dexter

Cutting away from Dexter's confessional, Tanner can be heard responding back to Dexter's explanation.

Tanner(Nodding): Okay, I think I get it. I don't want you to think that I don't trust you now or anything, I was just curious how she ended up on the chopping block.

Dexter: It's understandable. Things got pretty vicious between her, Debbie, and Sheri. I honestly wish I wasn't there to have to make that decision. I'm glad that we cleared the air though because me and you definitely have to stick together now that the tribes have been mixed up.

Tanner(With a bit more energy): Oh, for sure! If we don't move forward together then we're sitting ducks. From what Riley told me, Zarah is real big on getting out strong players. And if that's so, then you and me are going to be first on her hit list over here.

Dexter looks a bit caught off-guard, not expecting the sweet little housewife to have such a devious and dark side. The camera highlights Zarah smiling and laughing with the other two girls near the lagoon before coming back to the men.

Dexter(Cautiously): And you believe Riley on that?

Tanner(Shrugging): It was the one piece of information that she actually gave me. It's all we really have to go on at this point.

Dexter(Nodding): Okay. Let's wait things out for a bit but I'll definitely keep an eye out for Zarah.

Tanner: For sure, dude. We're in this thing together.

The two of them start to walk more towards the water well as they continue to reaffirm their alliance with one another while talking about potential allies and targets from the new pool of players that are on Tibat now.

I did find Dexter's reasons for booting Jenna to be a little bit suss. I don't know why, I just feel uneasy about the whole thing. I mean, she was our ally after all so I guess I'm just confused as to how the vote could've changed that quickly. And God knows Dex knows how to talk and persuade so he could be lying his ass off right now and I'd be none the wiser. However, I'm gonna put all that aside for now. Trying to poke and prod at all of this stuff with Dexter isn't going to help us get out of this tribe in one piece. Moving forward and going after the real threats like Zarah is what needs to happen. We need to stay together or we're toast. Plain and simple.(Nodding confidently)

–Tanner

The two guys are seen bumping fists to affirm their alignment with one another before the camera makes a swift transition over to the lagoon, where all three women are hanging out and getting to know one another while relaxing in the shallow water.

Zarah: You've got yourself a real nice camp here, Sheri. I wish that I'd gotten picked to be purple right from the start.

Zarah chuckles a bit at her own statement as Sheri simply shakes her head and responds.

Sheri(With attitude): Eh, the camp isn't bad. It's the people that really made this place suck.

Kelsey's eyebrows raise up as Zarah nods, already getting the feeling that the plus-sized model had problems with her former tribemates from her overall attitude and disposition.

This tribe switch was very much needed for me since I couldn't stand my tribe. I had no real alliances or allegiances to any of them, with the exception of Debbie, and I was honestly going mad trying to deal with all of their BS on the daily. I'm so happy that we have some new bitches in this hood for me to work my magic on because I'm ready to switch this game up and turn things on their heads. Sheri B didn't come out here to be no coattail-rider, she's here to play the game and play it hard!(Smirking)

–Sheri

Trying to get some more emotion out of her, Zarah intentionally pokes the bear a little bit.

Zarah(Holding back a smirk): Were they really that bad? Dex and Tanner seem like pretty good boys.

Sheri(Holding her hand up): Puh-lease. If I have to listen to Dexter's robot voice or stare at Tanner's smarmy smile one more time I'm seriously gonna drown myself in this lagoon.

Kelsey's eyes go wide and she smiles out of surprise, not expecting Sheri to have such vivid emotions towards the seemingly harmless Tibat men.

Sheri(Laughing): I swear, I'm so glad that you two girls are over here now. Aside from me and Debbie, our tribe was turning into a complete sausage fest. I'm not kidding when I say that the garbage truck came and took out the trash with this tribe mix-up.

Zarah(Smiling widely): Well, we're happy to be so appreciated. More than we ever got over on green, right Kelsey?

Kelsey nods in agreement as the women continue to bond and leisurely hang out in the lagoon, the camera training over and honing in on Zarah snickering with her young companions.

Comin' into this camp, I was honestly worried about what might happen. I mean, it was just me and Kelsey with three other people from the original Tibat. They'd easily have the numbers to take us out if they wanted to. But, honey, lawd had mercy on me and blessed me with this gift of Sheri B.(Chuckling) The girl is a lightning rod for trouble and she's wasted no time slammin' all of her former tribemates. She already hates Dexter, she already hates Tanner, it just doesn't get better than this! There's still a lot more game to played before our next challenge, but things are definitely lookin' a lot better than I thought they would goin' into this thing.

–Zarah

The camera switches between shots of the boys near the water well and the girls in the lagoon before making a transition over to the opposing tribe's camp.

Ghalilah[]

The uneasy and bizarre aura from the Tibat camp disappears as the atmosphere transitions back into one of bliss and celebrations. The flag waving in the wind now sports a familiar bright green color before a shot of five castaways comes into full view. With two being veterans of this camp while the other three are newbies, warm welcomes and gleeful exchanges start in the minute that they all arrive at the Ghalilah oasis. However, though Riley and Alan are very welcoming, the other three can help but notice the disarray that the Ghalilah camp is in compared to the Tibat camp that they were used to.

Silas(Trying not to be rude): Wow, this place sure is...

Debbie(Bluntly):...a mess.

Debbie turns and laughs at the way she finished the ranchhand's sentence. Despite the insult to their camp's status, both of the former Ghalilahs can't help but chuckle along with her.

Alan(Scratching the back of his neck): Yeah, this place definitely isn't in the best shape.

Silas(With vigor): Then I guess it's our job to get it up to snuff! This is our new home, after all.

Both Alan and Riley grin at Silas' positivity and beaming attitude as Matthew simply makes a face, clearly annoyed that he's lost a lot of the comforts he had on Tibat.

It's definitely strange to have all these new faces around camp. Things on Ghalilah had really taken a turn for the worst and it was to the point that we were dwindled down to only three members left in camp after the previous Tribal Council. But now we've been bolstered back up and I'm honestly excited to see things get mixed up a bit. I was stuck in a situation with two women who desperately wanted me gone, and now they're over living it up on Tibat.(Chuckling) Let them have all the treats they want over there while I'm getting to start my game over on my home turf!(Grinning confidently)

–Alan

As the cut is made from Alan's confessional, Silas can be seen working on the fire pit, which has been left charred and flameless after the original Ghalilahs left earlier in the morning. Seeing him already getting down and dirty, Alan speaks up.

Alan(Politely): You don't have to go to so much trouble. You just got here after all. Take a load off.

Silas(Shaking his head): No can do. I'd much rather get to know y'all next to a nice roarin' fire. Y'all can hang back, I've got this.

Alan stands there, pretty amazed at the ranchhand's work ethic as Debbie chimes in with her quirky disposition.

Debbie(Grinning): That's Silas for you! Once he's got his sights set, there's no deterring him. He's the best workhorse that a starving Survivor tribe could ask for!

Silas(Lightheartedly): Please, Debbie, you're embarrassing me.

The rest of the group, with the exception of Matthew, laughs at the little exchange as the camera changes its focus to Debbie as she happily chats up Alan and Riley in the midst of this scene.

Being switched to Ghalilah is tough. I'm not gonna lie. Sure their camp isn't as nice as Tibat's, sure the fire went out while we were all away, but that's no reason to be a downer about things. There ain't no traces of a Debbie downer in this Debbie, that's for sure!(Laughing) I'm just taking everything with a positive outlook. I've gotten to meet some cool new Ghalilah peeps, I've still got Silas the workhorse on my tribe, and it's another beautiful day out here in Arabia. There's almost no reason for me to not be bouncing off the walls with positivity right now! I'm just going to be my eccentric, perky, self who can roll with the punches and still smile even though she was put on another tribe with her arch-nemesis.(Laughing again)

–Debbie

A shot of Matthew lazing by the fire pit is shown momentarily before the scene is switched over to the lagoon where the martial arts instructor herself is taking a dip with the other female of the tribe, Riley. As the conversation is picked up on, it can be heard that the two are talking about the differences in their camp lives for these first two weeks.

Debbie(Tying her hair back): Yeah, I don't think I ever saw any reason to leave my cozy little oasis back at Tibat. We always found something to do inside our "mirage" of sorts to kill the boredom. You guys ventured out into the desert though?

Riley(Nodding): We were really hungry in the early days so a lot of us would leave camp to try and go hunting for food. I was actually the first one to catch something for us to eat, even though I was, like, the only person who didn't want to hurt the animal.

Debbie(Visibly surprised): Girl, what?! I was thinking that I was the badass around these parts but then here you are with your "queen of the jungle"-ness all upstaging me and s**t!

The veterinary technician laughs loudly at Debbie's off-branded humor. Before she questions Riley a bit more, Debbie dips her head into the water before coming back up.

Debbie(Curiously): So what'd you catch anyway?

Riley(Smiling): It looked like a baby ferret. I couldn't bear to eat it.

Debbie chuckles, seeing that as expected from someone who works with animals all day. As the two keep on chatting, Debbie's gaze goes back over to camp as she catches a glimpse of Matthew sulking inside one of the huts, looking away as if he was just staring at the two of them. She rolls her eyes and turns back to Riley.

I feel like it's like a carousel with me and Matthew at this point. Just going around and around on the same horse, nothing changing or getting any better. And you know what? I think he really likes it that way. He hates me, I hate him, everything's out in the open and if he wants to frown, pout, and keep riding that horse of his all day long, let him by all means. I'll be busy showing everyone else how much of a liability he is. We may be on the same tribe again, but hopefully that won't be lasting as long as I have something to say about it.(Crossing her arms with confidence)

–Debbie

Noticing her shift in behavior, Riley steers the conversation in that direction.

Riley(Splashing water onto her face): Something caught your eye?

Debbie(Sighing loudly): Just frowny Mcfrownerson over there. I'm pretty sure he's been staring at us since we came out here.

Riley tilts her head to the side, getting a better look at the restaurant manager sitting in the shelter. He looks away in a similar manner that he did with Debbie, all with a very sour expression on his face.

Riley(Nodding): Oh, I totally see what you're talking about! Wonder why he's so interested in us.

Debbie(Making a face): He's not. He's mad that he's stuck on another tribe with me. That's why that stupid frown of his hasn't left his face.

Riley: I take it that you two don't get along well then?

Debbie(Sighing again): I just...don't deal well with negativity. And that's all that comes out of that boy most of the time. Plus we've been trying to get each other out for a while now too. He and Jenna voted for me at the last Tribal we went to.

At this slip of the tongue, Riley's whole expression beams as she immediately digs for more.

Riley(Smiling): Well, that might explain that bitter look he's been wearing.

Debbie(With intensity): Believe me when I say that he's a handful to deal with. I would say I don't trust him as far as I can throw him, but I'm sure I could hurl his scrawny ass pretty far if I was in the right mood.

The two women giggle in sync at the thought of Debbie physically trying to chuck Matthew as the view centers on Riley, who is loving all the information that she's fished out of Tibat.

One of the reasons I wanted Debbie to be on my tribe after the switch was that she seemed to be a very bubbly, eccentric, character who talks way more than she should.(Grinning widely) That's the impression she gave off at the beginning of the game, at challenges, and meeting her in person I already know that I was spot on with my guess. She's so friggin' amazing and funny and I love her already!(Giggling) However, strategy-wise, she also gave me a lot to work with. Way more than Tanner. Knowing that her and Matty have a rivalry going on is great for mine and Alan's game because it keeps the three original Tibat people from teaming up and picking us two off. That's what I'm banking on, at least!

–Riley

The two girls are seen continuing their chat in the water before the view moves up to the center camp area where Silas and Matthew have been stationed. While the former is tending to the fire that he started up again, the latter is catching glimpses of the conversation happening out in the lagoon. The restaurant manager eventually lets out a loud sigh, attracting Silas' attention who raises his eyebrow at Matthew's weird behavior.

Matthew(In a melancholy tone): I bet she's talking all kinds of s**t about me down there. I'd bet my life on it.

Silas turns his head and takes note of the laughing and chatting that is going on between Debbie and Riley, to which he can only groan and shake his head. Not at the conversation itself but at Matthew's paranoia.

Silas(Trying to hold back): You do realize this is our chance to start anew, right? All of that drama that happened on Tibat can just roll right off of your back and you and her can start things over. That'll only happen if you let it though.

Matthew(Raising an eyebrow): What's the point? She's obviously already throwing me under the bus so trying to make amends would be freaking pointless. This whole situation just sucks.

Silas(Shrugging): Fine. Don't take my advice then. Sit there and be sad if that's what you really want.

Matthew rolls his eyes at what he considers a poor attempt to be nice from Silas before finally getting up and walking off on his own. The focus goes back to Silas, who just looks up and makes a face as Matthew leaves.

For the most part, the Ghalilah life hasn't been that bad. Alan and Riley have been very welcomin' and nice, Debbie's cheered up from yesterday, and we've got the fire over here started again. Things could be worse and I'm honestly excited to be in a new place after two weeks at Tibat. The only negative thing that's come out of this mixup is Matthew. The boy has not smiled once since we've gotten to this camp and he continues to stoop down to his fits of paranoia and fear. It hasn't even been two hours since we got here and he's already tryin' to start stuff with Debbie again!(Shaking his head) The guy is certified crazy and I'm thinkin' he might be a lost cause at this point.

–Silas

A shot of Matthew chopping open a piece of fruit by himself is exhibited before the camera moves on to one more scene. Here, Alan and Riley are seen meeting up and walking in a forested area near treemail.

Alan(Curious): So? They spill anything juicy yet?

Riley(Grinning): You bet! There's a reason I chose Debbie after all. She can talk, talk, talk!

The automobile mechanic chuckles a bit before moving things along.

Alan: Enlighten me. I'm dying to hear the dirt on these guys.

Riley(Going into detail): So basically there's this big rivalry going on between Debbie and Matthew. From how Debbie talked about him, you can tell that she just absolutely hates the guy. They've been having spats with one another for a while now and she even let loose that he and Jenna wrote her name down at their last Tribal Council.

Alan looks over at the veterinary technician with wide eyes, surprised at how much info she's been able to dig out of the former Tibats in such a short amount of time.

Alan(Nodding): That explains why they haven't so much as said a word to each other since they arrived. I think we've really hit the gold mine on this one!

Riley(Cautiously): I know! I think the smartest thing going forward though is to continue to lay low and whatnot.

Alan: Exactly. If they're really as divided as they claim, it should manifest itself more and more the longer that they're in our camp. That's when we make our move.

Riley nods, affirming her agreement with this plan as the focus shows Alan with a big smile on his face, highly satisfied that the Tibat three are not as tight as he thought they would be.

It seems like I may still be the king of Ghalilah after all!(Chuckling) Even though Tibat has the numbers going into our tribe, they apparently are not about sticking together and keeping their own numbers up. They're too emotional for that. Riley's proved to be a quite an efficient messenger in getting me this information and now all that's left is for me and her to sit back and let the fireworks fly between these other three. Let them argue, fight, yell, scream, whatever they want to do as long as it keeps the target off of my back.(Smirking)

–Alan

A compilation of shots of Debbie, Silas, and Matthew all hanging out in the Ghalilah camp is shown before the camera cuts to black and goes to a commercial break.

Day 17[]

Tibat[]

The scene opens back up on the seventeenth day of the castaways' time in the Arabian Desert as the view immediately settles in to show the Tibat tribe flag waving in the wind, indicating that the scene is at their camp. Dexter and Zarah can be seen working on cooking up a morning meal for the rest of the tribe as Sheri lazes back and rests her eyes in one of the huts. The camera then swiftly moves to show Tanner and Kelsey walking over to the water well together, deep in conversation as the latter makes to fill up her canteen.

Things have been pretty static since the whole tribe shuffle thing went down. Everyone's been very friendly and fake to each other's faces, feigning their happiness and enjoying the camp as usual. But there is a game to be played and I'm looking to get whatever edge I can to make sure that I'm not the one who ends up blindsided. At the summit, I deduced that Riley and Kelsey might have some kind of friendship going on and now that some time has passed, I want to use the connection that I made with Riley to hopefully get in with Kelsey and create a solid three with her and Dex for the time being.

–Tanner

With no one else in the vicinity, Tanner brings up Riley's name to the flight attendant in a somewhat casual manner.

Tanner(Smiling with sincerity): I'm surprised that we got you on our tribe. I thought for sure that Riley would've picked you over the old man.

Kelsey giggles a bit at Tanner's labeling of Alan before addressing his first comment.

Kelsey(Letting her guard down): Is it really that obvious?

Tanner(Shrugging): I mean, it's just something that I picked up on at the challenges and stuff. It seemed like you two were close.

Kelsey: I guess you could say that. What's it to you?

Tanner(Savvily): Well, I just so happen to be one of Riley's friends as well. We bonded really well at the summit and when I picked you for my tribe, I did that because I thought that we could kind of connect those bridges between us. I trust her, you trust her, transitive property says that we should trust each other.

The flight attendant giggles again, not quite understanding what the model means but eating it up all the same.

Kelsey(Enthusiastically): I'd honestly love that. I've been feeling really insecure in this game for a long time so having another person on my side can only help me. You seem like a super funny and cool dude, so that helps as well.

Tanner(Grinning): Thank you kindly. You seem very chill and loyal, definitely someone who I think I can trust going forward and someone who I'd love to call an ally.

Kelsey(Holding out her hand): Then let's say we call this a deal then. You in?

Tanner(Shaking her hand): Damn straight.

After their handshake, Kelsey can't help but give Tanner a big hug, excited that she is finally finding some allies beyond just Riley.

I was really hyped to hear that Tanner wanted to pair up with me today. I've been feeling really antsy since I got sent over to Tibat because Riley was my only real friend before all of this and when she didn't pick me I had this moment where I thought that I was all alone again. Luckily, she and Tanner did a lot of talking at their meet-up and she passed me off to Tibat so that I could team up with Tanner and Dexter. I'm still getting over some of the uneasiness from the beginning, but I'm feeling a lot better now that it looks like I might some real allies to work with and not just a bunch of fake backstabbers who are only keeping me around to get out a bigger threat.(Smiling widely)

–Kelsey

After cutting away from Kelsey's confessional, the two are seen continuing to converse as they start to walk away from the well area.

Kelsey: So is Dexter included in this or am I just getting ahead of myself?

Tanner(A bit cagey): I'll talk to Dex soon. For now, though, I think we need to keep things quiet. The last thing I want is for someone to find out about this deal that we've got brewing between me, you, and Riley.

Kelsey nods in agreement before the scene hastily moves back over to the main camp area where everyone else is still hanging out. Sheri sits in front of the fire with a bored expression on her face as Dexter and Zarah engage in some leisurely chatter while cooking up some rice. Eventually, Kelsey and Tanner enter in together from the path to the well, arousing immediate suspicion from Sheri in particular. While Kelsey makes to sit down next to the plus-sized model, Tanner takes off his jacket and lays it down next to everyone else's laundry.

Tanner(To everyone): I'm gonna go take a quick dip if anyone wants to join me.

While no one offers to, Dexter jumps in with a smile on his face.

Dexter(Chuckling): Nope. You and your showered ass can go enjoy the water by yourself, buddy.

Tanner chuckles a bit and jokingly flips off the student before heading off on his own. With the male model gone, Sheri's gaze starts to move towards Kelsey who is growing ever the more warier of the two of them being together.

Waking up this morning and seeing Tanner coming back from the well with Kelsey is just a blaring red light for me. Like, I want to know what the hell they're off doing because I surely know that it ain't just about getting some more water. Uh-uh. Kelsey's such a freaking airhead that she could be easily swayed by whatever story either of these guys want to spin to her. I'm not letting that happen though. I know how these dudes operate and I'm going to make sure that they're on the chopping block where they belong. As long as I have the ladies in line, there ain't gonna be a damn thing that they can do to stop me.(Smirking)

–Sheri

As two succeeding shots of the two men are shown, the camera moves back to Sheri and Kelsey sitting next to one another in front of the fire as the latter decides to speak up.

Kelsey(As she runs her fingers through her hair): So what's everyone up to this morning?

Sheri: Just cooking breakfast. Same old, same old.

The flight attendant nods before tossing her hair to the side, trying to straighten it from a night of rolling around in the hammock. However, Sheri is quick to question her about her own affairs for the morning.

Sheri(With suspicion): So what were you and Tanner talking about when you went to the well?

Kelsey(Nonchalantly): Nothing much. Just camp differences and stuff like that. Sleeping in that hammock really is an improvement though. It was so nice.

Ignoring the way that she played it off, Sheri continues to prod at Kelsey for information.

Sheri(In a quieter tone): You know that us girls have to stick together though, right? That's the only way we're getting anywhere in this tribe.

Kelsey(A bit weirded-out): I know. I don't get how me talking with Tanner puts that into question though. We were just chatting.

Sheri(Forcefully): And I'm just beating it into your head that those two can't be trusted. They're slimy snakes. Always have been and always will be.

By now, both Dexter and Zarah have stopped what they're doing and turned towards the direction of where the two girls are sitting. As they start to argue, Dexter barges in after hearing his name come up.

Dexter(Raising an eyebrow): Excuse me?

Sheri(Aggressively): Dexter, get the f**k out of our conversation and mind your own business. I'm not about to get into it with you as well.

Dexter(Not backing down): Well, you're talking about targeting me when I'm right in front of you. Of course I'm gonna call you out on it.

Sheri(Getting louder): Don't play with me, bitch. I swear to God I will take you apart faster than you can start crying over a letter from your poor daddy!

Dexter leans back a bit as his eyes widen, not expecting Sheri to go for such a low blow, feeling as if all her aggression is coming out of nowhere. As the conversation takes a nasty turn, Kelsey starts to stand up from her spot.

Kelsey(Clearly uncomfortable): I think I'm gonna go now.

As the flight attendant makes to leave the vicinity, Zarah gets up and catches her by the arm.

Zarah(Feigning compassion): I'll go with you if you want, hun.

Kelsey turns and nods before the two women head out, leaving an awkward situation between Sheri and Dexter by the fire as the former rolls her eyes at the whole exchange.

It amazes me how tempers can flare this early in the mornin' with these people. Don't they ever get tired? I don't know but it sure was a sight to see with Sheri B goin' off on everybody right and left. And by all means, let her go off like a firecracker all she wants! Let her piss everyone off and keep that target off of my back. While I did so love seeing Miss Prom Queen get called out as well, I knew that I had to go after her after the fight because I need every vote that I can gather up at this point. Makin' it seem like I care about her precious feelin's could get me a long way with her.(Snickering)

–Zarah

The view swiftly makes a transition over to the isolated area of the Tibat camp where Kelsey has walked off to, Zarah right on the young girl's tail as the former just lets it all out.

Kelsey(Angrily): Who does Sheri think she is just questioning me out of nowhere like that?! What is wrong with her?!

Zarah(Trying to calm her down): Now just settle down. That was definitely out of the blue what she did and quite uncalled for, but we don't need to makin' a scene or anythin', right?

Taking a deep breath in, Kelsey slaps her arms to her side and exhales out, clearly still upset about the heated exchange of words back by the fire.

Kelsey(Shaking her head): I just can't deal with that kind of vicious attitude anymore. I thought Alan was bad but this girl is just straight mean! I don't want to be around someone like that!

Zarah(Appeasing her): I know. I think that we just need to calm down a bit before we go makin' any rash decisions. There is still a game to be played, after all.

Kelsey(Crossing her arms): I get that. I just don't want to play it with her.

A shot of Sheri off smirking in front of the fire is shown before it goes back to Zarah listening to Kelsey's complaints about the plus-sized model's rude behavior around camp.

The problem with Miss Kelsey is that she doesn't know how to sit down and think logically about the game. Everythin' in that little noggin of hers just tells her to lash out and go after the "mean people" who are causin' trouble, people like Alan and Sheri B. She isn't thinkin' through the strategical benefit of keepin' around the firecrackers and goin' after the real threats. If things get too heated and unpredictable, I might have to throw Sheri and her big mouth under the bus to ensure my own safety. I'd like to avoid that if possible though. If only these people could suck it up and use those damn brains of their's!(Groaning frustratedly)

–Zarah

The flight attendant sighs before calming down a bit.

Kelsey(Frowning): I don't want to be allied with her. That's all I'm saying. If I had my way she'd be the next one gone.

Zarah(Diffusing the situation): I think you and me should take Tanner up on his offer to take a dip. I think we all need to cool down a bit. The desert heat doesn't seem to be the only thing that's steamin' us up around here!

Mustering a smile at Zarah's sassy comments, Kelsey agrees that a swim in the lagoon would be nice and heads off in that direction with the homemaker trying to talk her down from her unbridled anger at Sheri.

Oh my God, can't I have a minute of happiness out here without everything blowing up?(Groaning) Right after making the deal with Tanner, Sheri comes at me out of nowhere with all these pointed questions and I'm just like stop! Stop being crazy!(Holding her head wearily) Even before all this drama, I didn't really get a good feeling from that girl and now I know exactly what was off about her. She's a nasty, catty, lunatic of a girl who has no trouble making personal attacks towards people right out in the open. She's just a really mean person and I frankly don't want anything to do with her right now. I can't stand her attitude.(Sighing sadly)

–Kelsey

The camera shows successive shots of Kelsey, Zarah, and Tanner in the lagoon and Sheri sitting by herself next to the fire before it switches over to the Ghalilah oasis.

Ghalilah[]

The camera picks up on a fox peeking its head out of a burrow inside of the ground before quickly submerging itself back in as the view is switched over to the main area of the Ghalilah campsite. Focus is settled in on a pot boiling over the fire pit as Silas and Riley can be seen cooking up some rice and beans for an early morning meal. Spirits are high as the two of them, Alan, and Debbie are all hanging out and talking casually within the vicinity as Matthew relaxes in the shelter. Once the food is done, Silas starts to dish it out to all of his fellow tribemates so that they can dig in.

Silas(Cheerily): Breakfast is served. Rise and shine, Matty!

As the restaurant manager gets up and stretches his limbs out, he is quick to join the others so that they can partake in their meal together.

Debbie(Chuckling): Hard to call rice the breakfast of champions when we've been having it for almost three weeks straight.

Riley chuckles along with Debbie's chipper observation as the focus moves back to Silas handing Alan and Matthew their portions.

I gotta say, things at Ghalilah aren't half-bad. It was difficult to say goodbye to all the luxuries that we had over at Tibat, but at the same time I'm actually happy 'bout that because I'm the kind of person who doesn't need all the fru-fru comfort to get by. I feel like I'm a lot more in my element over here and it's definitely rubbin' off on the others as well. I've been gettin' along real well with Alan and Riley, makin' connections and provin' myself around camp with my work ethic so I'm just hopin' that that ingratiates me towards them and that's two less people that I have to worry 'bout in this game.(Smiling)

–Silas

As soon as everyone has gotten their rice, the meal commences and enjoyable chatter and laughter can be heard starting just as they all start eating. While the vibe is very positive for the most part, Matthew can be seen making a grossed-out face as he starts to dig into his rice. Noticing his overblown reaction, Alan is swift to call him out on it.

Alan(As he finishes chewing his rice): Something wrong, Matty?

As he downs the rice, Matthew looks up and answers honestly.

Matthew: It's nothing. The rice is just more stale than how I'm used to it.

Silas raises an eyebrow, clearly not pleased at how quick Matthew is to discard the meal while Alan politely passes it by.

Alan(Shrugging): Eh, guess I never noticed.

Matthew(Bluntly): It's probably because our pots at Tibat weren't as crusted over as your guys' are. Hard to know it tastes bad when that's all you've been tasting.

Though there is no malice intended from the statement, Debbie can be shaking her head and rolling her eyes at Matthew's rude comment while Alan continues to nod along and let Matthew run his mouth in front of the rest of the tribe.

No offense to Alan or Riley, but their camp sucks. Period. The huts still have holes in the walls, there is no expresso or blankets, and the cookware makes all the food taste like s**t!(Laughing ironically) It's crazy for me to even think about what they were doing this whole time while our tribe was actually, you know, trying to survive. I don't know if they just wanted to live in a third-rate camp, but it doesn't matter to me as long as these aren't long-term arrangements that we've got going here. Trying to hack it over here is not ideal, man. Not in the least.(Shaking his head)

–Matthew

Eventually, after the meal ends, Matthew is the first to discard his container and walk off to the lagoon on his own, leaving the other four behind by the fire. The minute he leaves, it's easy to expect what happened in accordance with his earlier comments.

Debbie(Making an annoyed face): I swear that guy needs a muzzle or something. I cannot take anymore of his stupid critiques and complaints.

Silas(Fired up): Seriously, we spent all mornin' preparin' that for everyone while he sat his behind in the shelter! Then he wants to whine 'bout how the rice doesn't taste good and it's because all the pots and pans are rusted. What kind of person does that?

Alan simply shrugs his shoulders as Debbie quickly chimes in.

Debbie(Grinning): An entitled man-child. That's what Matthew is anyway. We all know it by now. Even you two.

Alan(Nodding): He sure does like to complain about stuff. I don't think I've heard much of anything else come out of his mouth since he got here.

Riley nods in agreement as Silas shakes his head.

Silas: It's pathetic is what it is. There ain't a polite bone in that boy's body.

Debbie affirms this as a shot of Matthew laying down on the sandy shore of the lagoon is shown before it comes back to Silas' irked expression.

Ya know, I thought Matthew could be a bit ornery and paranoid at times, but I still thought he was a good kid back on Tibat. Over here, I think the worst in him has really come out because the boy has not stopped his complainin' and bitchin' for more than three seconds since we came to Ghalilah. I'm sick of it, Debbie's been over it, and I can tell that the other two aren't diggin' him either. If I had the chance, I'd vote him out right now. That's how sick I am of his negative attitude.(Groaning angrily)

–Silas

The view shows a quick successive shot of both Alan and Riley listening to the bitterness between the former Tibat tribemates before the camera switches over to show the two of them now walking and talking strategy on their own.

Riley(Sighing): That was certainly...something. Like, if the entire Tibat tribe was like the three of them, I'm surprised they won so much because they're friggin' insane!

Alan(Smirking): I loved every minute of it. All of that was pure gold for the two of us.

The veterinary technician nods, knowing that the more drama that ensues between the three means better chances for them to sneak on by.

Alan(Turning around): Honestly, I don't know if you're feeling the same but after today I feel like keeping Matthew around would be a much better option.

Riley's eyebrows go up, a bit surprised that Alan has come to this conclusion as she beckons for him to elaborate.

Alan(Going on): Thinking about it, Silas and Debbie are going to be much bigger threats in the long run. Sure, Matthew may be annoying as hell but that's exactly what's gonna keep the target off of your's and my back.

Riley(Nodding): That is true. He's definitely got a hot streak.

Alan: I'm telling you, Matty going first would be a big mistake. We need to get at the foundation of the old Tibat tribe and I think that the other two are much closer to that than Matty.

Riley continues to nod as Alan lists off all of his reasons for keeping Matthew around longer.

Matthew is a loudmouth. And it's pretty much a given that he won't be winning this game. With how much trash has been talked about him so far, I'm pretty sure that he's simply a goat in the making. And that's why he could be such an asset to my game!(Smirking) I'll let that big ol' mouth of his run all day long if it means that I have an easier path to the finals. For me, it only makes sense to keep him around for as long as I can. Debbie and Silas, you seem like nice people, but one of you have got to go. They aren't doing anything for my game except proving to be a roadblock in my way. I don't need them and I'll happily use Matthew as my weapon to knock my way through all of the people in my way.(Chuckling maniacally)

–Alan

A shot of Matthew at the lagoon is contrasted with a shot of Debbie and Silas by the fire before the camera cuts out and moves into a commercial break.

Day 18[]

Minor chords open the scene back up to an overhead panoramic of the vast desert. The camera pans and swoops across the seemingly unending series of sand dunes before stopping on a small plot of oasis that has been cordoned off for the next immunity challenge of the season. Jeff stands at the head of a medium-sized body of water, waiting to bring in the two shuffled tribes for their next competition.

Probst: Come on in, guys!

Both tribes are seen walking in from opposite directions and onto their respective mats, excited looks and smiles emanating off of each and every one of them as Probst gives off a smirk.

Probst: Are you guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?

With a hardy affirmative from the majority of the castaways, Probst starts in with his overall explanation of the challenge and what the basic rules and functions of it are. Once he has concluded with that, he gives the two groups one minute to strategize and assign roles before they officially get things started.

  • On Probst's signal, all five members of each of the opposing tribes run out onto the shore of the large lagoon and start prepping the raft and rope so that they can get the former out onto the water in as efficient a manner as possible.
  • For Tibat, it is Kelsey and Zarah going out onto the raft while Tanner, Dexter, and Sheri are pulling them along with the rope. For Ghalilah, Riley and Debbie are riding the raft while Alan, Matthew, and Silas pull on the rope.
  • Starting out, both tribes are pretty even, neither getting much of an edge over the other as the pullers grunt their way through their task in order to get the divers over to the platform in the middle of the lagoon. Ghalilah arrives a hair earlier as Debbie is quick to jump into the cold water and get to work.
  • Not far behind, Tibat sends Kelsey into the water first to start retrieving life preservers for the tribe.
  • While Debbie is quick and efficient with pulling out the right combinations of bamboo, Kelsey has a lot more trouble has she struggles to hold her breath underwater for long enough to see where exactly the preservers she needs are.
  • After seeing two rings get released for Ghalilah by Debbie, Zarah yells to the flight attendant to switch out with her. Knowing what a detriment she is being, Kelsey is quick to get back up onto the platform so that Zarah can dive in and try her all to keep Tibat in it.
  • While the homemaker is finally able to release a life preserver for Tibat, Debbie continues to dominate for green as she gets two more rings up to the surface in a very minimal amount of time, allowing Riley to scoop them up before the martial artist goes back down.
  • Though Zarah is continually efficient with bringing rings to the water's surface, Debbie gets to the final life preserver for Ghalilah first, allowing her and Riley to get back onto their raft with the rings in tow so that the pullers can get them back to the shore.
  • As they are beginning to get pulled farther and farther away from the platforms, Zarah is finally able to retrieve the final life preserver for purple. This allows both women to grab their rings for Tibat and signal to the pullers to bring them back.
  • The lead that the Ghalilah tribe acquired is sustained throughout the second rope-pulling portion as both Silas and Matthew are seen doing an amazing job and carrying most of the weight. The raft riders are back in no time as Debbie is seen disembarking and carrying all six rings around her arm. As all of Ghalilah gets on their tribe mat to start the last part of the challenge, Riley trips and falls down on her way over, costing the green tribe a bit of time as Tibat is just now getting their raft to shore.
  • The ring throwers for Ghalilah are Debbie and Silas, both of whom do a great job in this final portion.
  • Though Tanner and Dexter put in a valiant effort to try and catch Ghalilah on the ring tossing, Silas and Debbie's efficiency allows them to land all six rings on their six separate poles, winning them the challenge.

Probst: GHALILAH WINS IMMUNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The entire Ghalilah tribe is ecstatic with the announcement of their victory, feeling incredibly empowered by the fact that the switch-up won't be costing any of them their games tonight. Alan eagerly congratulates Silas and Debbie for being so dominant in their respective aspects of the challenge as Matthew can be seen cheering and making exclamations loud enough for the other tribe to hear.

Matthew(Obnoxiously): Yeah, baby! That's how you get a win for green!

As the restaurant manager proceeds to bear hug both Alan and Riley, Zarah can be seen raising her eyebrow from the other side of the challenge as Tanner shakes his head, not wanting to even acknowledge Matthew's overbearing presence. While most of the Tibat tribe seems upset and disappointed with their loss, Sheri sucks her lips in to keep from smirking, clearly not too bummed out about a trip to Tribal Council. The view then distorts for a few moments before showing everyone back on their respective tribe mats.

Probst: Ghalilah, congratulations. You have won immunity and guaranteed all of your safety for another three days. Enjoy the night off. Tibat, I cannot say the same for you guys. Tribal Council tonight where one of you will become the seventh person voted out of this game. You have the afternoon to decide who that will be. Head on back to camp.

The focus moves to show close-up shots of all five members of the new Tibat tribe sauntering away after their challenge loss before the view stays settled on Sheri.

Yes! We actually lost the challenge today!(Laughing) Though it's never fun to lose, getting one of these big strong dudes out before the merge is such a top priority at this point that I'm ecstatic about going to Tribal Council. Dex and Tanner have been sitting pretty for way too long, it's about time I shake that up!(Smirking)

–Sheri

Two more shots of Dexter and Tanner are compiled together before the camera zooms out and fades into a commercial break.

Tibat[]

An ominous note from a violin can be heard ringing in the background as the camera slowly settles down on the blotch of vegetation that is the Tibat camp. A gecko lays motionless near the purple flag before it is seen getting scared off by signs of movement, that being the Tibat tribe members themselves as they saunter into camp after their challenge loss. Dexter sighs and sets down his things in one of the nearby huts as Tanner is quick to check on the fire, noting the dim expressions on everyone's faces before piping up.

Tanner(Sighing): Damn, I really thought we would have them beat on that one.

Dexter(Shrugging): You win some, you lose some, I guess. Nothing we can do about it right now.

Tanner nods in agreement as Sheri can be seen rolling her eyes while fanning herself with a palm. The focus then moves back to Tanner as he solemnly sits by the fire.

The challenge loss today was pretty rough, to be honest. Even after a few days of getting used to things, I feel like I'm still wandering around in unmarked territory with this new tribe. It's a pretty frightening position to be in when we're at such a pivotal point in the game. Immunity would've been nice, but that's long gone by now. All I can do now is fight my ass off and make sure that relationships I've been building around here have been maintained well enough so that I can weasel my way out of here without a blindside coming to hit me right in the face.(Chuckling nervously)

–Tanner

The two men of the tribe are seen chatting by the fire once more before the view switches over to a bit later in the day. Sheri and Zarah are seen washing up in the lagoon while also talking about the recent challenge loss.

Sheri(With no reservations): To be perfectly honest, I don't think it was that big of a deal that we lost today. I mean, we need to start knocking out some of these big threats from the game and there is no better time than now. It's a blessing for us if you ask me.

Zarah(Smirking): Oh, I get you, honey! I get you.

Sheri smirks back at the homemaker as they both notice Kelsey approaching the two of them, meaning to enter into the conversation as well.

Zarah(Cheerily): How you doin', Kelsey?

Kelsey(Beginning to wash her hair): Hot, exhausted, and nervous as hell. What's new though?

The two other women both chuckle and nod in agreement to Kelsey's statement as the camera moves over to focus on Sheri impatiently waiting for Zarah and Kelsey to get past all of their formalities.

If there isn't a merge coming after this next vote, then there's got to be one coming soon. We're getting close to the halfway point now and that's usually around the time that the tribes come together. That's also the time when all the big dudes need to get the hell out of the game so the rest of us can have our fair chance!(Snickering) If I want any shot at making it far out here, I know that I need to rally the girls and get something brewing with them so we can isolate Tanner, Dexter, and all of the other dudes who are going to threaten our positions in the game. No one's had the guts to make a move against these bros since the game started, but I'm not afraid of taking a bath in their blood, that's for sure!(Smirking widely)

–Sheri

After a few more minutes of leisurely chatter, Sheri turns the strategy on and changes topics.

Sheri(With a very determined expression): So we need to start discussing what our plans are. Not just for tonight, but for later on down the road as well. I feel like if we make the right call at this Tribal, we could put ourselves in very good positions come merge time.

Zarah(Nodding): I agree, sticking together is what is gonna take all three of us places. Those guys are nothin' but trouble.

Kelsey nods in affirmation with this statement, though it is pretty obvious that she doesn't have as much gusto about taking out Dexter and Tanner as the other two ladies do.

Sheri(Laying it all out): What I was thinking is that if we do merge after this vote, the girls need to all group up because it's the men who are going to run this game if we just want to sit idly by and play like bitches. They have the power right now, and it's up to us to take that away from them.

Zarah continues to nod along, motioning for Sheri to continue with her proposed plan as Kelsey listens intently.

Sheri(Pointing to the two of them): If you two pulled in Riley, I could easily recruit Debbie and then the women would have a majority no matter what. A guy has to go home tonight though for it to work. It has to go like that or we're screwed. That's just how it is.

Kelsey(Trailing off): That sounds fair. But who would we vote for then?

Sheri(Sharply): Personally, I say we get Tanner out of here.

A shot of Tanner smiling and laughing with Dexter is shown before it quickly moves back to the view of the women near the lagoon.

Sheri(Continuing on): Not only is he a thousand times more annoying than Dexter, but I also feel as though him going on that summit makes him a very dangerous player come merge time.

Zarah(Nodding): That's true. We have no idea what Riley may have told him about our tribe, Kelsey.

The flight attendant nods once again, but she already knows that Riley has released info on Ghalilah to Tanner from speaking with the man himself.

Zarah(Grinning): I'm all for this little female power plan that you've got goin' on. Let's just vote that pretty-faced boy out of here and we can go from there.

Kelsey(Nodding): I'm on board.

Sheri(Confidently): Three's the majority, and us ladies have it. They won't know what him 'em.

The three women all put their hands in the middle of their little circle and affirm to the plan of voting Tanner out next as the camera settles in on Zarah as she continues to talk strategy with Sheri and Kelsey for a bit longer.

In my opinion, a large group of women can never work together for too long in this game. Eventually, the emotions and the drama gets to them and the whole things bursts open like a damn pinata.(Chuckling) Miss Sheri and Miss Kelsey are not a match made in heaven, that's for sure. They already don't get along and I'm not sure if either one was being genuine with the other when makin' the agreement to vote out Tanner. I need to check up with Prom Queen first before I lock in my vote for the night as I know that I'll need to try and keep a handle on her emotional self so that she doesn't go and do somethin' stupid.(Crossing her arms)

–Zarah

One more shot of the girls all circled up together is shown before the view switches over to show Kelsey now joined by Tanner as they begin to whisper inside the back hut.

Tanner(Sitting down): So what's the word bird, girl? Has anyone told you any names yet?

Without much contemplation, Kelsey blurts out the plan that was just given to her by the other two women.

Kelsey: Sheri told me and Zarah to vote for you tonight. Zarah's totally bought into it from what I can tell.

Tanner(Sighing knowingly): I should've seen that one coming. That bitch has had it out for me since day one.

A shot of Sheri filing her nails with a twig is shown before the camera cuts back to the convo between Tanner and Kelsey.

Tanner(Shrugging): Eh, it doesn't matter though as long as you, me, and Dex are solid. Three is the magic number we need and that should be enough to get Zarah out of here.

At the mention of the homemaker's name, Kelsey's head immediately spins in the model's direction before she raises her eyebrows.

Kelsey(Backtracking): Zarah? I thought we were good to vote Sheri B off. She's getting on everyone's nerves right now and I don't want to have to spend another three days with her mean girl attitude.

Tanner(Dismissively): No, no, no. My impression was that Zarah was our target. Sheri is untrustworthy as hell with a bad attitude to boot, but that's what makes Zarah the bigger threat. She's got all of the savviness and strategy while also being able to hide it behind this whole "sweet mother" facade that she's trying to pull off. She needs to go.

Kelsey shakes her head, starting to get a little annoyed.

Kelsey(Rolling her eyes): I just don't understand why Sheri isn't your target. I mean, she's the one who's rallying us girls together to get you out in the first place. Shouldn't that make you want to go right back after her?

Tanner(Biting his lip): Voting Sheri B is a frantic and emotional move when Zarah is standing around right out in the open for us to go after. I don't want to waste this golden ticket on taking out Sheri, who has literally no one in her corner besides Zarah!

Kelsey: Well, I trust Zarah way more than Sheri so excuse me if I'm a bit apprehensive about just following along with what you guys want.

Tanner shakes his head, getting overwhelmed and frustrated by Kelsey's desire to see Sheri go over Zarah, interfering with his original plan with Riley to oust Zarah as soon as possible.

It sucks that things seem to have spiraled out of my control so quickly because I really thought that Kelsey and me were on the same page. We connected really well off the bat and it seemed liked she was on the bottom of Ghalilah before the swap happened. I thought that she'd have no problem turning on Zarah, but it's clear that her emotions are starting to get the better of her. I can say for certain that Sheri is an irritating person to deal with. I've been there and it ain't pretty. But strategically, Zarah's the bigger threat and we need to look past all of this bravado that Sheri's throwing out. It's the only way to ensure that Zarah's sneaky ass goes home and our alliance stays intact. It's eating at me trying to explain this to Kelsey right now!(Shaking his head and groaning)

–Tanner

After cutting from Tanner's confessional, the view picks back up on Kelsey arguing why she wants to vote out Sheri over Zarah.

Kelsey(Pounding her fist on her hand): I'm telling you right now that Sheri needs to go. I'm tired of how vicious and nasty she's been to me, you, Dexter, and even Zarah at times. Ever since we all got back to this camp she's been nothing but a bully. Do you really want to put up with someone like that? I sure don't.

Tanner(Getting a bit agitated): I get that, Kelsey. But we're not playing the "defying adversity" game. We're playing Survivor and that means that the decisions we make need to be based on logic over emotion. I know you dislike Sheri more, but it's in this kind of environment where an attitude like Sheri's will make her easy prey later on. We need to make the big move now and that's getting out Zarah, who's a real threat to all of our games. Do you get that?

Shaking her head, Kelsey seems all but satisfied with the way that Tanner is talking to her.

Kelsey(Holding her palm up): Can you not talk down to me like that? Like, I'm not an idiot. I get the things that you're saying, I just have my own opinions. It makes me feel like you don't care about what I have to say or that you think that I'm stupid.

Realizing that Kelsey is now taking his own arguments personally, Tanner immediately backtracks.

Tanner(Frowning): Kelsey...

Kelsey(Getting emotional): No, it's fine! I'm just hot-headed and dumb and that's why I'm trying to help you guys out and bring information to you.

Tanner(Apologetically): Kelsey, I'm sorry if you felt disrespected by how I was talking to you. It was never meant to be an attack on you or your ideas. If I really didn't care about your opinions, I wouldn't have asked you for a deal in the first place. Even then, I still apologize.

The flight attendant's expression remains unchanged as she takes a deep breath in to keep tears from streaming down her face.

What really frustrates me with how Tanner addressed the issue wasn't that he didn't want to go with my plan, it was the way he discarded it like it didn't even matter at all. I told him that he was being pegged for the vote of my own free will and that's how he thanks me?(Rolling her eyes) Thanks, bro. Glad I made an alliance with you.(Taking a deep breath) I think I need to cool off for a bit because I can't decide if I want to cry or go punch something right now.(Letting out a sad giggle)

–Kelsey

Knowing that talking game while Kelsey is so worked up will be futile, Tanner steps back and lets her have some space.

Tanner(In a composed manner): We can talk about all of the game s**t later. I think both of us need to calm down a little bit.

Kelsey(Nodding): Yeah, I think that'd be best. I just need to pull myself together right now because all of this stuff has me so riled up. I usually don't get like this.

Tanner solemnly nods, gives her one more heartfelt apology for their argument, and heads on his way as the flight attendant lays back and sighs inside of the shelter.

Kelsey(To herself): Well, that sure went well, didn't it?

Rolling her eyes at her own sarcasm, Kelsey sighs to herself before the camera transitions the scene over to the camp's water well. Tanner walks into the area, followed closely by Dexter before the former starts speaking in a frantic voice.

Tanner(Nervously): Dude, I think I really f**ked up with Kelsey.

Dexter(Concerned): What happened? I thought you guys were good.

The male model shakes his head, indicating that things did not go according to plan when reeling her in.

Tanner(Sighing heavily): When I brought up Zarah's name as the target, she got really upset that we weren't voting for Sheri B because of the whole scene yesterday. She hates her and when I tried to give my reasoning for wanting Zarah gone more, she freaked out and told me that I was speaking in a condescending way towards her or something.

Dexter raises his eyebrows, not expecting Kelsey to be so easily worked up as Tanner continues.

Tanner(Empathetically): I feel really bad, man. She looked like she was about to cry.

Dexter(Shaking his head): I don't think it's your fault. We just didn't expect her to be so volatile.

Tanner nods a little bit, still feeling insecure and angry at himself for making Kelsey feel bad.

Tanner(In a frantic tone): I might have just screwed myself. She told me that they were already after me tonight, I might have just scared her into turning on us.

Dexter(Patting him on the shoulder): Keep a level head and relax. I'll go have a word with Kelsey and see if I can get through to her. We haven't talked strategy much yet so it would probably be smart if I knew exactly where her head was at.

Tanner nods vehemently, seeing that as the best option for them right now as the focus turns over to Dexter.

For the past few days, Tanner has told me that he's been building a relationship with Kelsey and that he'd one-hundred percent be able to get her on our side. And I sat back leisurely and believed him because I didn't want to be a target. However, things between them pretty much blew up today and now it's up to me to piece together the remains. Tanner's life in the game is at stake and I'm not about to let my closest ally get shown the exit because of something so minuscule and emotional. I need to talk to Kelsey.

–Dexter

The view immediately switches back over to the main area of camp where Kelsey is still laying down in the same hut that she was last seen in. Soon enough, Dexter comes over and joins her inside the hut, much to the flight attendant's surprise as she sits up.

Dexter(With a caring tone): So how are you holding up?

Kelsey(Shaking her head): I'm exhausted. I just don't get why people don't want to vote her out with the way that she treats people.

A shot of Sheri lounging on the lagoon's shore is shown as Dexter catches Kelsey's drift and affirms her feelings.

Dexter: Tell me about it, I've been trying to get her out for the past two weeks and no one's listened to me.

A bit caught off-guard to hear this from Dexter, Kelsey is quick to question him.

Kelsey(Raising an eyebrow): But don't you want Zarah out too?

Dexter(Nodding): I do, but I have my reasons.

Kelsey: And what are they?

Dexter(Calmly): The way that I see it, Zarah and Sheri B are both on equal levels of untrustworthiness. They're not reliable allies, but Zarah is the more dangerous of the two because she hides it better. Everyone and their mother is annoyed by Sheri right now. Her game is transparent and that makes it easier to predict her movements. I can't say the same about Zarah.

Though she does get the point that the student is trying to make, Kelsey still resists.

Kelsey: But still, does all that really make her more of a threat?

Dexter(Nodding): Definitely. I've seen past seasons where the sweet older lady can be a bit of a villain. That's Zarah. I can see through all of the friendly sassiness to know that there is a deceptive nature to her that she masquerades behind sunshine and sweetness. Sheri B is all out in the open with her gameplay. She doesn't use a mask to hide her personality.

The flight attendant raises her eyebrows, seeing the logic behind what Dexter is saying as she is starting to consider whether Zarah really is worth keeping around.

When I was talking to Kelsey, I was basically throwing out everything that I could think of!(Chuckling) I'm pulling out strategy, emotions, past Survivor stuff, anything that's gonna convince this girl that voting for Tanner and keeping Zarah is bad news. I have my idol, but that can only go so far in getting me the connections that I need to succeed. Not only am I campaigning for my ally, but I'm also feeling out Kelsey and what she likes to see in her own allies. I kept my tone calm, never frowned or raises my eyebrows, I knew I needed to be as agreeable as possible while also hammering my point across to her. It sounds complicated, I know, but I'm pretty sure it worked out in the end if my read on her is right.(Smiling)

–Dexter

After cutting from Dexter's confessional, the camera's focus goes back to a very confused looking Kelsey.

Kelsey(Sighing): I guess I can see where you guys are coming from in that Zarah's the bigger threat, but I just don't know if I can do it. I mean, I like you guys more obviously but I don't really know if I can trust you.

Dexter(Easing tension): That's perfectly understandable. We've only known each other for three days after all while you've been with Zarah for almost three weeks. Your decision ultimately comes down to you and you alone. All I can ask of you is that if the target somehow switches to me, please let me know before Tribal Council.

Kelsey understands and nods, feeling more composed and relaxed after talking with the young student. She gives him a warm hug before getting up and walking off on her own to contemplate the array of emotions spinning through her head.

The conversation I had with Dexter was actually a lot more helpful than I thought it would be. He really put me at ease and helped lay out why exactly him and Tanner have such a vendetta against Zarah over Sheri. I can understand why they'd want her gone first, but that doesn't mean I'm still gonna swing their way. After all, Dexter's here to play the game just as much as I am and he could be just coddling me to try and get me to vote his way. I don't know if I can fully trust the guys to have my best interests at heart. However, I also don't know if Zarah's going to be able to do that as well. We weren't exactly best friends on old Ghalilah and she could very well backstab me if I decide to side with her. I don't know, I think I still have a few more things to work out before I can make my decision.

–Kelsey

A quick view of the sun starting to set in the distance is shown before the camera settles in on Zarah and Kelsey standing and whispering behind the back hut.

Zarah(Trying to see where her head is at): Are you still okay with the Tanner vote?

Kelsey(Shrugging): I guess, but I'd be more okay if we were going for Sheri instead.

Zarah(Nodding): I understand, hun. But we need to make that power move now before those boys get to reunite with all their frat friends over on the other tribe. Tanner first, then Sheri. I promise you on my chillun'.

Despite the sincerity that she gets from Zarah's words, this only makes the flight attendant even more nervous and anxious for Tribal.

Kelsey(Conceding): I can live with that.

With Kelsey's affirmation, Zarah nods and the two head over to start grabbing and getting their things together.

My biggest fear right now lies with Kelsey. I don't know where her head is really at. On one hand, she's been pretty open and honest with me about her opinions and whatnot. To me, that shows that she has some level of trust with Miss Fitzroy. On the other hand, she's very much in a huff that we're workin' with Sheri B and not votin' her out. Those two catty girls aren't goin' to be gettin' along anytime soon and Kelsey in particular has been quite adamant about how uncomfortable she is with votin' Tanner over Sheri. I'm just hopin' that the girl keeps her eyes on the prize and doesn't lose her mind because it might be my life if she does.(Shrugging)

–Zarah

A shot of Kelsey tying her hair back and putting on a pair of thick glasses is shown before the view expands to show her and the rest of the tribe starting to prepare for Tribal Council. Dexter and Tanner talk by the fire as Sheri gives them the death glare, clearly not on the same side as her former tribemates anymore. As everyone begins to retrieve their torch, the focus once again goes back to Kelsey.

As of Tribal time, the boys are voting for Zarah and the girls are voting for Tanner, and then there’s me who's just a little bit caught in the middle.(Giggling) It's so hard because I keep debating and going back and forth on what my best option is because I just hate both of my choices. I know that Tanner is a nice guy, but the way he came at me today was really aggressive and it worries me that he's getting too caught up in the game. However, I've never connected that well with Zarah and I certainly believe all of the rumors that she's a lot more cunning than she comes off as. But then there's also the matter of her saving me at the last vote.(Sighing) It is pretty overwhelming but I know that after tonight I'm going to be making another enemy no matter what. For me, it's about playing my own game and doing what's best for me. I'm not here to play for Tanner, Zarah, Dexter, or anyone else. I'm here to play for me.

–Kelsey

One more close-up of the new Tibat tribe walking away from their camp in a single-file line is shown before the sun is seen leaving the vicinity and letting the moon take over. As the intense tribal beats start to ring throughout the atmosphere, the camera rapidly zooms into the Tribal Council site. The five members of the swapped Tibat tribe are seen making their way into the structure, placing their torches in their respective holders, and taking a seat to face Probst, who is eager to get into the discussion with them.

Probst: Let's start with the mix-up that occurred three days ago. Dexter, how has your game changed in response to the tribes getting shuffled?

Dexter(Nodding): We were already dealing with the craziness from the summit and the double Tribal Council stuff so to add a tribe switch on top of all that drama just brought the game to a different level. I feel like strategy has had to have been dialed back a bit because you're now in a situation where you don't know everyone super well so forging those connections becomes more of a priority over running around and game talking like a lunatic.

Tanner grins and chuckles a bit as Zarah nods in agreement, to which Probst addresses her for.

Probst: Zarah, would you agree with that? Are things different from how they were at Ghalilah?

Zarah: Oh, most definitely, Jeff! This camp that they've got here is a million times better than the trailer park that we had over at Ghalilah! Granted my old tribe was a little older in age, but I've had fun gettin' to know some of these new people. They're all my desert chillun' after all!

Probst cracks a smile as the other four members of Tibat all laugh and grin at Zarah's observations about the quality of life change from Ghalilah to Tibat.

Probst(Changing the topic): As Dexter mentioned before, the summit did play a huge part in how these tribes were divided. Tanner, being that you were one of the participants, do you regret volunteering or do you think it was worth it?

Tanner: It was one-hundred percent worth it. While having to pick tribes kind of sucked, I'm happy with the group I got and having the opportunity to participate in something like the summit was just amazing for me. I'm so grateful to the Survivor Gods for letting me take part in such an awesome and revitalizing experience.

Sheri rolls her eyes, clearly annoyed to hear the model talk about his time at the Rustaq cottage.

Probst: Do you think that your time on the summit might put a target on your back?

Tanner(Nodding): Potentially. People could say that it was unfair that I got to be pampered for the night or they could see me talking with a person from the other tribe as dangerous. It's definitely got its detriments, that's for sure. However, I'm hoping that the majority of my tribemates can see past all of that BS.

Sheri attempts to hold in a snicker as Zarah looks over and smirks, finding irony in the statement Tanner made at the very end.

Probst(Calling her out): Sheri, does Tanner have any reason to be worried?

Sheri(Bluntly): Yes, he does. If I got treated to a night of food, sleep, showers, and information from an opponent, you bet your ass that I'd be shaking in my boots about getting a target painted on me. That's a huge advantage and anyone who ignores something like that would have to be a real idiot.

Rolling his eyes, Tanner makes a repulsed face at Sheri's blatant pronouncement as Kelsey is seen biting her lip.

Probst: Wow, now that is putting it out there. Kelsey, do you think that the summit really is all that it's cracked up to be? Or are there more important things to be dealt with in terms of who to vote for?

Kelsey: I think that the summit factors in, yes. However, there are other things that factor into the vote as well such as past connections, overall attitude, and the potential of a merge coming soon. Basing your vote on only one thing is pretty close-minded if you ask me. A good decision is made by looking at the bigger picture and deciding what is going to get the least amount of blood on your hands while also advancing yourself to the next stepping stone in an efficient manner.

Dexter nods as Sheri raises an eyebrow, weirded out by why Kelsey is calling out her statement as Probst seems satisfied with what has been said.

Probst: Alright, it's time to vote. Tanner, you're up first.

One by one, each of the castaways walk up to the plate and cast their vote for who they want to see leave the game. Tanner and Zarah's respective voting confessionals are both aired to the viewing public as Kelsey is the last person seen coming up to the voting booth. She drops her ballot into the urn, spins around, and heads back to take her seat as the focus moves back to Probst.

Probst: I'll go tally the votes.

Close-up shots of all five of the players at Tribal are shown before Probst is seen coming back with the voting urn in hand.

Probst: If anybody has found the hidden immunity idol and you would like to play it, now would be the time to do so.

A quick shot of Dexter sucking in his lips is shown while everyone else remains mum, none of them having or seeing the need to produce an idol. Probst nods and makes to continue his spiel.

Probst: Alright, once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes.

First vote: Zarah (1-0)

The homemaker nods as she gives a glare towards Tanner, knowing that both men were after her. Sheri, however, raises an eyebrow as she is a bit surprised that she wasn't the target of the guys due to her blatant comments and flip-flopping.

Second vote: Tanner (1-1)

Despite expecting the vote, Tanner still sighs loudly. Clearly very nervous about the vote as Sheri's uneasiness starts to disappear and a smirk begins to form upon her face. Kelsey is seen biting her lip again as the next vote is read.

Third vote: Zarah (2-1)

Taking a deep breath, Zarah makes sure to give an intense glare towards Dexter as well, knowing that that vote was his.

Fourth vote: Tanner (2-2)

The male model clenches his eyes shut as the music starts to intensify and build up. Sheri confidently tosses her hair to the side as Dexter glances over at Kelsey, whose eyes are trained on nothing but Probst as he pulls the final ballot out of the urn.

Last vote:

Probst: Seventh person voted out of Survivor: Arabia.........................

Probst:..........................Zarah. You need to bring me your torch.

Though her eyes go wide for a second, Zarah is quick to recover and nod her head at the outcome before slowly standing up. Seeing that he did indeed survive the vote, Tanner’s expression softens and he gives a relieved smile to Dexter. As Zarah stands up, she glares straight at Kelsey and gives her a jaded remark on her way out.

Zarah(Scathingly): Thanks, Kelsey.

Sheri, who is utterly shocked by the turn of events, leans forward and glares at the flight attendant herself for going back on their plan. Kelsey remains composed and calm as Dexter happily pats her on the back, telling her that she made the right decision as the homemaker drops her torch into the slot in front of Jeff.

Probst: Zarah, the tribe has spoken.

Zarah nods her head as Jeff extinguishes her flame. While Sheri could not look any more infuriated at the situation, Tanner's entire expression has gone from worried to relieved in a pretty quick time period. Billowing and triumphant music accompanies Zarah’s exit from Tribal Council as the male model clasps his face into his hands, muttering under his breath.

Tanner(To himself): Oh, thank God.

Kelsey looks over to him before smiling and nodding, indicating that she does indeed trust him and Dexter as shown by her vote for the night. As he cheerily thanks her for her loyalty, the camera moves back to show Probst giving the group one last word before they leave.

Probst: Well, it's clear that a lot of other factors played into the vote tonight because that was a textbook blindside. But with more change coming, how long until it is you who has the rug pulled out from under them? Head on back to camp, guys. Have a good night.

The camera contrasts Tanner's upbeat expression with Sheri's confused and angry one as the view moves out to show the four remaining Tibat members beginning to exit Tribal Council while the theme music for the season plays the episode out.

Voting Confessionals[]

Your pretty face isn't made for a game like this, boy. You can go on home and leave the real gameplay to Miss Fitzroy.

–Zarah

You are by far the most dangerous person left in this game. Sweet lady, but a hell of a player. And that's why I need you out.

–Tanner

Final Words[]

I'd be lyin' like a dog if I said I wasn't a little bit mad at Kelsey right now for flippin' in the way she did. I mean, sorry girl. You voted me out because I didn't give in to your emotional tirade against Sheri B? Okay, then.(Rolling her eyes) It's fine though. I had fun while it lasted and everyone knows that Miss Zarah was able to crack a few heads and take a few names during her time out here, so that ain't that bad. All in all, Kelsey, I wish y'all the best of luck. Best hope that I don't see you come cryin' back to me in three days when you get turned on.(Shrugging and snickering)
