Previously On Survivor...

  • After Darla's elimination, at Wicklow Jonah was on the outs, but he had a back-up in his hidden immunity idol.  The tribe was angry at Daniel for eliminating Darla instead of sticking to plan, and Wing plotted against him, to the dismay of Wanda.  After Wanda was kidnapped to the Watreford tribe, a mad scramble for the idol busted out, with Nancy getting it in the end.  When Wicklow lost the immunity challenge, in order to protect himself, Daniel teamed up with Wanda and Janette to eliminate Wing, who Wanda sold out, eliminating Wing in a 3-2-1 vote, and leaving Jonah baffled as he wasted his idol.

Challenges

Reward Challenge: Gymnastics Antics

Both tribes must run across a balance beam over the water with all of their participating members (one at a time) to get to the other side, and bring back a bag of puzzle pieces.  If they fall, they must start at the beginning of the balance beam.  Once all 5 of the puzzle bags have been retreived, one person will be designed to solve the puzzle.  The first ribe to solve the puzzle wins reward.

Reward: A choice between an all-day tribal resort trip, or replenishing rice that woudl last the remaining time in the game.

Winner: Wicklow

Immunity Challenge: Scrambled Eggs

The challenge is designated into three parts.  For the first part, one tribe's player must hurry across a thin platofrm, weaving in an out, while holding an egg on a spoon. If the egg cracks, they have to go back an retreive another egg. Once they bring the egg to the second section, a new person has to go through a bamboo obstacle course, and climb through, all the while keeping the egg safe.  If that person makes a mistake and the egg breaks, then they will have to go back to phase one.  Once the egg is successfully brought toe the third area, the rest of the tribe has to swim out, keeping the egg safe, to a platform in the ocean (if they mess up, they must return to phase one).  Once they arrive there, with all their members on the platform, they can put the egg on a pedestal above the ground.  The first tribe to put the egg on the pedestals wins immunity.

Winner: Wicklow

Story

Night 13

Coming back from tribal council, both Shaun and Jonah were shocked at the results, Shaun's head spinning while Jonah was angry at the loss of his hidden immunity idol.

Coming back from tribal council, I was shocked. I thought we had a clear plan, which was to get rid of Jonah, but now that Wanda, Janette and Daniel pulled a fast one over me, I feel in the dark.

–Shaun

The one time I thought I needed to play my idol, I didn't. Great, now I'm on the outside looking in, and there's almost nothing I can do about it, because obviously, no one's even considering going along with my plans.

–Jonah

Meanwhile, Janette is pleased at the successful blindside.

Honestly, Wing was a threat to my game, and the thrill of blindsiding him is so satisfactory! But, I need to pace myself, we can't just go around blindsiding people, we have a solid alliance, so now's the time, if need be, to eliminate Jonah.

–Janette

Day 14

Morning at Wicklow, Shaun is becoming paranoid about the game. He approaches Wanda, Janette, and Daniel, who all assure him that their alliance is still in tact, and that Jonah is next to go. Shaun also individually pulls Daniel to the side, in order to re-establish their "Irish Alliance".

After last night's tribal council, I had to make sure I wasn't next on the chopping block, so I approached both Wanda, Janette, and Daniel as a whole, and Daniel alone, to keep myself safe. Sorry, Jonah, but I gotta make sure you get out of here ASAP.

–Shaun

I hope that last night's decision to blindside Wing doesn't alienate Shaun from us, because with Jonah already distanced from us, and a possible merge looming at 12, we can't have any more straggler's if we don't want to get pagonged!

–Wanda

Oh boy, Shaun's got his paranoia cap on a little too tight. I'm trying to reassure him that he is safe next tribal council, but if he continues this behavior, then maybe it's time for him to go.

–Daniel

Meanwhile, at Waterford, Riley approaches Bruce in order to follow up on if the Oddball alliance was targeting her, and if Bruce could campaign for her to stay. Bruce told her that he is trying his best to keep her name off the block, and if she is in danger, he will tell her.

Bruce is my lifeline in this game, because he's guilty about betraying me, so now he wants to make up for it by saving me, and if the merge is coming up soon, then I'll have a whole new life in this game! I need to get my game face on, though, to survive the coming days ahead, because I know that I'm likely to become a target, being with Wicklow so much!

–Riley

Despite being in opposite alliances, Riley is probably the person I feel closest with in this game, and I'm going to try my hardest to keep her in. Actually, talking to her made me realize something: I'm the fifth in the oddball alliance, I need to find a solid majority within the alliance, or figure out a new alliance, because I'm sure not settling for fifth.

–Bruce

Bruce approaches Tommy and Chaswell, for a all-guys final 3 alliance. Both Tommy and Chaswell agree, though the former is suspicious.

Now that I found a safe haven in Chaswell and Tommy, I feel much more comfortable with my position in this game. I just have to trust that they'll honor agreement, and I get to choose whether I'll honor mine.

–Bruce

I don't buy Bruce's all-guy final 3, at least not right now. He's been mighty close with Riley, and his earlier campaigning to keep her proves it. He's might smart, I'll give him that, but I don't want a flip-flopper in the power position once again.

–Tommy

Honestly, I'm pretty much invincible in this game, now Bruce wants to tag along with me and Tommy, even though if a final 2's happening, he's on his way out. These people are dumber than I thought! *laughs*

–Chaswell

The tribes convened for the reward challenge, and after explaining the rules, Jeff instructed Waterford to sit out three members, them choosing Riley, Nancy, and Chaswell.  Immediately after they were instructed to start, Jordan for Waterford and Jonah for Wicklow started, Jordan flying across the balance beam while Jonah was more careful.  Jordan did not fall, however, and retrieved the first of 5 puzzle pieces and brought it back to shore, Jonah taking slightly longer but not falling.  With a slight lead, Nalia sped through the Balance Beam in roder to lengthen their lead, btu fell in the water, costing her time and giving Daniel for Wicklow time to catch up and take the lead.  By the time Waterford brought back their second puzzle piece, Janette was already walking out for Wicklow.Jordan went again for time, and caught up to Janette, evening the times out.  Both Barbara and Wanda remained even, enither woman falling, retreiving the penultimate bag.  Jordan ran back across the balance beam to gain a lead over Shaun, but Shaun, seeing this, went as fat as he could, keeping up with Jordan.  Jordan slipped on the wet balance beam on the way back, however, giving Shaun a sizable lead into the puzzle.  Janette for Wicklow and Bruce for Waterford were the puzzle-solvers, and though Bruce was fast, he couldn't make up the lost time, and Wicklow won reward.  Waterford decided to kidnap Jonah, while Wicklow surprisginly kidnapped Jordan over Riley, much to Riley's satisfaction.

I'm thankful I wasn't kidnapped this time around, because now, I'll have a slightly less big target on my back as far as going to Wicklow all the time, and I can try to figure out a new way to get back in this game!

–Riley

At Wicklow, Jordan showed to be extremely resistant to leaking any information on his tribe, and despite various attempts by Daniel, Jordan was quiet.

We picked Jordan because he's proven himself in today's challenge for the most part, and if we can get a strong player like him to get on our side, then we might have numbers at merge. Of course, though, Jordan didn't say a word about his tribe or what he was thinking about, which is really frustrating, because it feels like Wicklow's against the world.

–Daniel

I may be on the outside of my tribe, but that doesn't mean I'm going to speak with the enemy. Where I come from, you kill the enemy, you don't negotiate with them.

–Jordan

At Waterford, Jonah decided to once again pledge his loyalty to Waterford, exclaiming that he was on the outs alone on his tribe, and that he has nowhere else to turn. The tribe reassures him that they'll take it into consideration.

At this point in the game, I'm going nowhere with Wicklow, so I need to jump ship as fast as I can, and hope that something happens soon that can save me.

–Jonah

I feel almost guilty about saying we'll consider being with Jonah, not because we won't do it, but because Jonah SHOULDN'T go with us. We're bickering, we're disassembled, and we're all over the place, but Jonah doesn't realize any of that when he talks to us.

–Nancy

Riley pulled Nancy to the side, telling her that she has a plan to bring them into the majority. The two could approach Nalia and Barbara, asking them to create a women's alliance to take out the men, starting with Chaswell. Nancy readily agrees to the plan, as they have no other options.

The only way I see breaking through the oddball alliance is not through Bruce, who doesn't seem like he'll turn on them yet, but the girls, Nalia and Barbara. They're close, they hate Chaswell, I mean, the stars are all aligned for us to work together!

–Riley

Besides my hidden immunity idol, I have no way of protecting myself, so even if a girls alliance would leave out Jordan, I need to do what I need to do.

–Nancy

Out in the water, after relaxing with Nalia and Barbara, Riley (with Nancy supporting her) brings up the idea of a girl's alliance, which Nalia and Barbara hesitate on, until Riley keeps pushing, to when they say that it'd definitely be a good thing for the girls to control the tribe.

I feel pretty hesitant about jumping ship already to a new girls alliance, but I could definitely see it working in the future, and if we get rid of Jordan instead of Chaswell, it would still not be broken up, and the Oddballs would all be together. Of course, I know Barbara doesn't like Chaswell...

–Nalia

Thank you god! Honestly, I don't know if this opportunity will come again, but if I can work with the girls to get rid of Chaswell without having the blood on my hands, then you better believe I'm taking that opportunity! Plus, don't think I haven't noticed Bruce, Chaswell, and Tommy hanging around alike, I know something's up with those three, so I'm not letting myself and Nalia get 4th and 5th.

–Barbara

Day 15

Morning at Wicklow, while Jordan was still asleep, Wanda suggested to the rest of her tribe (who were awake) that with Jonah playing the idol, a new one has to have been re-hidden, and that an idol out there is a threat to them. She says they should look for the idol and either dispose of it or use it as a group, to which the rest of her tribe suspiciously agrees.

Of course the whole tribe has been thinking about that re-hidden idol, but suggesting that we find it as a group and possibly dispose of it? I don't like the sound of that, I'd rather have the idol in my pocket, nice and secret, but I don't have much of a choice with Wanda confronting the tribe like that.

–Janette

The way I see it, I know I'm not going to find that idol, because the fiasco at Waterford proved I'm not good at finding idols. So, having 1/4 a stake of the idol, or having the idol disposed of, is a lot better to me than it is tucked away in someone else's possession. I'm sure as heck not going out on an idol.

–Wanda

With Jordan still sleeping, the Wicklow tribe minus Jonah goes into the woods, looking for the hidden immunity idol, by turning up rocks and looking inside of holes. Shaun finds the idol, but curses to himself when he sees Wanda noticing him find it.

Dammit! I wanted the idol for myself, to keep me safe, but now, I can't even have that!

–Shaun

Wanda calls Janette and Daniel over, and they discuss what to do. Shaun suggests getting rid of the idol so that no one has too much control, to which Wanda willingly agrees, and Daniel and Janette consent to. As a tribe, they throw the idol out into the middle of the ocean, paining Shaun.

I hope I didn't throw away my chances right there, but I thought, is it really better to have the idol if everyone knows you have it, and will look at you as a target? I'd rather have that idol disposed of, because it will give me a better shot in the long run.

–Shaun

At the immunity challenge, after being explained the rules, Waterford chose to sit out Nalia, Barbara, and Tommy, Riley and Shaun on the first stage, Bruce and Daniel on the second stage, and the rest of the tribe's on the final phase. Right out of the gate, Riley slipped off her beam and broke the egg, going back to get another one. Weaving in and out, Shaun always had a slight lead over Riley because of the mistake, and by the time they arrived at the second phase, Daniel had approximately ten seconds over Bruce. However, Bruce made that time up for Waterford, crashing through the obstacle course, and bringing Waterford to a tie with Wicklow as him and Daniel handed off the egg to the rest of their tribe. Swimming out, Waterford had a distinct advantage, as Wanda, Janette, and Jonah lagged behind compared to Jordan, Nancy, and Chaswell. However, right before getting on the platform, Chaswell, who was holding the egg, dropped it in the water, it sinking to the floor. The three panicked, desperately searching for the egg in order to win the challenge, but it gave Wicklow the chance to catch up, and by the time Waterford finally decided to star over at phase 1 after not being able to find the egg, Wicklow arrived at the platform, winning them immunity. As Wicklow ecstatically celebrated, Jeff dismissed a disappointed and angry Waterford back to camp.

Chaswell blew that challenge for us. With him already having all these negative relationships on our tribe, I'm not sure if we're going to remain united tonight, or like the egg he lost, crack open.

–Tommy

Arriving back at camp, tension was in the air as they sat down. Despite urging from Tommy, Chaswell refused to apologize to the tribe, for his pride was too great, upsetting Barbara.

I don't feel the need to apologize, and if I did, it would probably make me look weaker anyway, so it's definitely a no-go.

–Chaswell

Chaswell's so arrogant that he can't even admit that he's the reason we lost the challenge today! Honestly, I'm done with him, I want him out of here NOW.

–Barbara

The Oddball alliance re-convened, and with pushing from Bruce, as well as Nalia and Barbara (who wanted a male targeted), Jordan was decided to be targeted.

I don't get why keeping Jordan, who is obviously stronger in challenges than Riley and Nancy, but strangely enough, Nalia, Barbara, and Bruce all seemed adamant about it, so I guess he's the target for tonight.

–Tommy

Bruce, Chaswell, and Tommy re-convened, socializing and re-affirming their final 3, as the girls were in the water, Riley and Nancy campaigning to Barbara and Nalia to vote out Chaswell. Riley pointed out that Bruce, Tommy, and Chaswell were obviously a sub-alliance, and that since Chaswell cost the challenge today, he needs to go. Barbara agreed with everything they said, though Nalia was still leaning towards being loyal.

I'm trying as hard as I can to get the girls to eliminate Chaswell. You'd think it wouldn't be that hard, after all, he's annoying, he's bossy, and he's bad in challenges, but Nalia's holding out on me, and what she does, Barbara does.

–Riley

I want Chaswell G-O-N-E, but if Nalia isn't on board, then I can't go against my closest ally, so I have to hope she sees the good in this move.

–Barbara

Honestly, I feel very grateful to Chaswell and Tommy for sticking up for me against Shai, and I feel horrible that this would be the way that I repay them. All the cards are in my hand, but all I want to is fold, and not have to make this decision.

–Nalia

Barbara and Nalia talk together, Barbara comforting her, and assuring that no matter what, the women's alliance would be together. Nalia thinks, before making her final decision, which Barbara tells Nancy and Riley.

Tribal Council

At tribal council, after being prompted by Jeff, Bruce explained that alliances haven't shifted much after Shai's blindside, with Nancy, Riley, and Jordan still on the outs, which they nod their head to. Jeff asks what Riley's done to keep herself in the game, to which she lies and says that she's just trusting that she's proven her worth, and that's she much more valuable than someone like Chaswell. Chaswell angrily responds, saying that Riley has no right to say that being on the outs, and that she's just bitter that he outplayed her. Nancy rolls her eyes and joins in, saying Chaswell is dead weight to the tribe, and after Chaswell denying it, Nancy brought up the immunity challenge, and Chaswell's failure in it. Jeff asked Barbara if Chaswell's taken credit for making the mistake, to which she says he hadn't, because his pride was too large, which Chaswell restrains himself from responding, but is visibly furious at. Finally, Jeff asks Nalia what tonight's vote is based off of, and Nalia tells him that it's based off of so many things that she's not even sure. In the end, Nalia remained loyal to Chaswell, and the Oddball and Woman's alliance regretfully ousted Jordan in a 6-1-1 vote, with Chaswell voting Barbara.

Voting Confessionals

I would feel too guilty if I went against my friends, I'm sorry.

–Nalia

This probably won't happen, but you don't deserve to be here.

–Jordan

I respect you, and I hope you still respect me after this.

–Bruce

I hate writing your name down instead of Chaswell's, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

–Barbara

You'll always be my friend, and I feel horrible doing this.

–Riley

Good-bye, good ally.

–Nancy

Hopefully it's you and not Chaswell, but at this point, he's crazy enough to where I wouldn't be surprised if you stay.

–Tommy

I never liked you, and I don't care that you're not going, because honestly, you deserve a vote, and I sure as hell don't mean one to win.

–Chaswell

Final Words

Though I might have not lasted as long as I would have liked, I'm thankful for the experience out here, and I had a great time. Good luck guys, and may the best man win!

–Jordan

Next Time on Survivor...

  • The feud between Chaswell and Barbara reaches a breaking point.
  • A shocking tribe switch shakes the game up.
  • It's Waterford vs. Wicklow as contestants try to flip people to their side, and in one case, against their fellow tribe member.

Author's Notes

  • The voted was originall going to be 5-3, with Riley and Nancy voting Chaswell, and Chaswell voting Jordan, but I decided to change it do to Chaswell's rash personality, and Nancy and Riley being told by the women's alliance to vote out Jordan.
