Previously On Survivor...[]

At Garibaldi, with the last tribal council not going their way; Alyssa, Jackson, and Vanessa decided that their best course of action to get back in the game would be to try and shift the target to Krystle. On Soufrière, the fighting between Deanne and Derek started to die down a little bit, motivating Carson to lie to them about the other one behaving immaturely.

Jason, feeling sorry for Lloyd, told him that Kelly-Ann was targeting him. This prompted Lloyd to try and rally people to vote Kelly-Ann out. On Exile Island, Vanessa told Jason about the brewing romance between Leila and Alex.

Garibaldi won the immunity challenge; however, the strategizing on the tribe continued. Joan made final three deals with both Alex and Leila and Ryan and Braiden in an attempt to get herself out of the bottom position on the tribe.

On Soufrière, Lloyd tried to bring Derek and Deanne back together, as well as pull in Pamela and Jason to vote out Kelly-Ann, while the alliance that Jason and Pamela were in had a difficult time deciding between Lloyd, Deanne, and Derek to vote out. In the end, Pamela and Jason decided to stick with their alliance, and it was Kelly-Ann that got her way with her nemesis Lloyd becoming the third person voted out of the game.

17 are left; who will be voted out tonight?

Challenges[]

Reward Challenge: Concentration
Players are to match 30 sandwich boards showing symbols, four boards with no match. First tribe to score seven points (out of 13 possible matches) wins reward.

Winners: Garibaldi

Story[]

Night 9[]

GARIBALDI:

The footage shows Braiden exiting the shelter clearly feeling sick to his stomach.

Clearly I am not feeling well right now. My stomach is killing me. I just hope that whatever it is, exits my system by the end of the night.

Braiden McAdam

Braiden

The camera shows Braiden heading off into the woods to do his business. He then hears some rustling in the bushes, so he decides to quickly investigate. He then sees something he never expected to see. The camera shows Alex and Leila sleeping together in the bushes. Braiden then rushes off to do his business and the camera cuts to his confessional.

So I head off to do my business and I hear the rustling in the bushes; I decide to hold it for a moment and investigate because, I mean let’s face it, we’re all starving here. I was hoping it would be some sort of animal I could catch and bring back to the tribe. But no, instead I saw Alex and Leila practically making babies and I nearly s*** myself! Granted, the way I was feeling, I was probably about to do that anyway (chuckles). I still feel sick, but I’m starting to get a little better now. But anyway, hopefully I can use this new information about Alex and Leila to improve my position in this game.

Day 10[]

After the intro plays, the footage shows Braiden and Ryan walking along the beach.

Ryan: You are feeling okay now right?

Braiden: Yeah, trust me, I’m fine. I think whatever bug I caught last night is pretty much out of my system now.

Ryan: Good. I mean, not only do I not want you to leave, especially like that, because we’re friends; but, you know I have selfish reasons for being worried about you too. If you leave, I basically have to start over.

Braiden: I know. Trust me; I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. But that’s not what I wanted to talk to you about.

Ryan: Well, what did you want to talk to me about?

Braiden: When I went out to do my business last night because I was feeling s****y, I practically caught Alex and Leila having sex.

Ryan’s jaw drops wide open.

Braiden: I’m not sure if they actually were doing it, I didn’t look that closely, but still. They are definitely a couple. There is no hiding it anymore.

Ryan: Wow that is crazy, man. I mean, what do you want to do with this information?

Braiden: Keep it to ourselves for now. Krystle is too unpredictable at this point; we didn’t want Zachary to know we were targeting him at our last tribal and she practically told him just that. I guess we can tell Joan if we trust her enough; but for now, we want to keep their scrambling and back tracking to a minimum and let them dig themselves into a deeper grave.

Ryan: I agree.

As far as Leila and Alex making love around here, I find it hilarious that they made such an effort to hide it from the rest of the tribe last night by doing it in the bushes and that Braiden happened to get the s***s and he caught them. I’m glad Braiden is feeling a little better now, so it’s kind of a good thing he got sick. We now have some ammo against Alex and Leila, so I’m feeling good.

Ryan Kulikowski

Ryan

SOUFRIÈRE:

The camera pans to show scenes of the Soufrière camp. It then cuts to a confessional from Deanne.

I’m not surprised with the way tribal went last night. Pamela and Jason are paranoid about what might happen if they flip, and Kelly-Ann wanted Lloyd gone badly. Kelly-Ann and Carson offered me a chance to survive the next vote as well if I would have voted for Lloyd last night. But I don’t know if they would have kept their word, especially with how much Carson has lied already in addition to the fact that he tried to make me look like a fool last night. But now, I need to scramble, I need to build trust with someone so that I can stay in this game just a little longer.

Deanne Arbuthnot

Deanne

The footage shows the Soufrière tribe standing in/around their shelter. Doug just started the fire.

Doug: Sky looks pretty grey right now.

Kelly-Ann: Hopefully it doesn’t rain. Our shelter is a piece of s***. I mean, it’s fine for what we have, but if we had a tarp, we’d be so much better off.

Derek: Well, we lost that reward challenge because this tribe sucks. And if we were so concerned about winning challenges anyway, we wouldn’t have got rid of a strong challenge performer last night! So you know what Kelly-Ann? You have no right to complain.

Kelly-Ann: We did what’s best for tribal unity, Derek. I didn’t trust him, I told you guys that already.

Kelly-Ann led the charge to get rid of Lloyd last night. Lloyd was easily one of our two best challenge performers, along with Carson. Now, she’s complaining about our shelter and that we don’t have a tarp and that we need to win rewards, so that pisses me off. She’s being such a hypocrite right now; I mean, what did she expect?

Derek McLeod

Derek

I am so happy with the way tribal went down last night. My arch nemesis aka the biggest snake in the game aka Lloyd is finally gone! As far as challenges, yeah we need to win some rewards and immunities. We just have to work well together and hope that Garibaldi underestimates us because we got rid of one of our strong guys.

Kelly-Ann Vnuk

Kelly-Ann

The camera once again shows the Soufrière tribe standing around their shelter. Deanne looks up at the grey sky.

Deanne: Well, I’m going to go gather some firewood and put it somewhere where it should stay dry in case it rains. Anyone else want to come?

Carson: Derek, why don’t you go?

Derek: F*** off! I am not going with the Wicked Witch of the East to get firewood; unless you guys promise to burn her at the stake, which I doubt you’ll do. You guys should have gotten rid of her last night.

Deanne: Do you still have some sort of problem with me?!

Derek: Yeah, you act like an immature four year old on a regular basis.

Deanne: Right, right… even though this is the first time I’ve said a word to you in three days. Even if I am acting immature, you just said you wanted to “burn me at the stake.” How much more immature can you get?

Derek: Well, you’ve been throwing me under the bus as much as you can behind my back.

Deanne: I haven’t been doing that! I told the whole tribe at tribal that Carson lied about me doing that!

Derek: Well, nobody believes you because it was actually you lying about him lying so that you could stay in the game!

Deanne: That is not true!!

Derek: Do you have to start yelling at me?

Deanne: Maybe I do so I can get it through your thick skull that I’m telling the truth!!

Derek: Well you know what? I CAN GET LOUD TOO! WHAT THE F***!?

Deanne (gasps): BLASPHEMY! How dare you mock Queen Sandra like that?! I hope you get sued!

Derek is clearly taken aback by Deanne’s comment.

Derek: You think Sandra is Queen? Um… no; Parvati is Queen. Besides, you are not even close to the levels of either of them anyway.

Deanne: How the hell is Parvati Queen? Sandra is a perfect 2 for 2. Parvati is 1 for 3! Do the math!

Derek: Parvati dominated Micronesia and Heroes vs. Villains! Sandra rode coattails in both her seasons; she’s useless… like you!

Deanne: First off, I’m not useless; I work my ass off around here and you damn well know that! Second of all, Cirie should have won Micronesia! Third of all, Parvati had a poor social game post-merge in Heroes vs. Villains and she and Russell were stupid enough to take Sandra to the final when it was clearly a pro-Sandra jury!

Derek: Why are we even arguing about this? Heck, why do we even argue period? You are so pathetic and delusional!

Deanne: Why are we arguing about this? Derek, to quote the wise words of Christina Cha; BECAUSE YOU’RE WRONG, OK! SO, SHUT UP!

Deanne lets out a sigh.

Deanne: Come on, Ella. Let’s get some firewood.

The camera shows Deanne and Ella heading into the woods; it then cuts to a confessional from Carson.

Deanne may have called me out last night at tribal; but, when she got into that screaming match with Derek this morning, all she did was make it seem like I was right. I’m having fun making the two of them hate each other. It really is very easy. All it took was for me to suggest that Derek help Deanne gather firewood to start that screaming match. I love it (laughing)!

Carson Dupuis

Carson

The footage now shows Deanne and Ella walking in the woods and gathering firewood.

Deanne: I just can’t believe Derek! He’s a 40 year old man for crying out loud! It disgusts me that he was resorting to personal attacks like that.

Ella: I know Derek is making a fool of himself. I know that you were telling the truth back there.

Deanne: He’s just gotten so out of line, hasn’t he?

Ella: He’s desperate and he’s frustrated. You are just the easiest person for him to take it out on right now.

Deanne: I understand that, I just can’t believe he’s saying some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth. I mean, he can just get downright nasty! I swear he is a psychopath.

Ella: Absolutely, nobody deserves to be spoken to like that. I don’t know about psychopath, but the way he acted certainly suggested that didn’t it?

Deanne: For sure.

It’s not hard to see that Derek’s just being a straight up jerk. He’s frustrated with his spot in the game right now, and he’s very desperate. I mean, there’s no excuse for the way he talked to Deanne this morning; but, in the long run, it only makes himself look worse and he did it in front of the entire tribe! I just can’t believe how little self-awareness this guy has!

Ella Sing

Ella

The footage now shows scenes of the reward challenge. The camera then turns to Jeff Probst.

Jeff Probst: Come on in guys!

The camera then shows Garibaldi entering the challenge area with Jackson carrying the tribe flag. The camera then turns to Soufrière entering the challenge area with Derek carrying the tribe flag.

Jeff Probst: Garibaldi, get your first look at the new Soufrière tribe. Lloyd voted out at the last tribal council.

The members of Garibaldi are surprised to see that Lloyd was sent home. Alex and Alyssa smirk while Jackson chuckles to himself.

Jeff Probst explains the challenge dubbed Concentration. He then reveals that the reward is a large fruit basket along with some herbs and spices. Garibaldi then selects Alex to sit out of the challenge. Suddenly, it starts raining.

Jeff Probst: Here comes the rain, right on cue.

Jeff gives the two tribes a minute to strategize before they get started.

Both tribes fail to get any matches for the first couple of rounds. The rain is clearly throwing the castaways off guard a little bit. Garibaldi then scores three matches in a row, while Soufrière only scores one in those rounds. After the next five rounds, Soufrière ties up the score at 4-4. In the next two rounds, both tribes get a point making the score an even 5-5. In the next round, Kelly-Ann gets a match for Soufrière giving them the lead for the first time in the challenge. Leila then scores a match for Garibaldi evening the score up at 6 apiece with only one match and the four dummy pieces remaining. Neither tribe scores in the next round. Then, Doug reveals the last match giving Soufrière the win.

Jeff Probst: Soufrière wins reward!

The camera shows Soufrière celebrating the fact that they won their first reward challenge. The camera then turns back to Jeff Probst standing in front of the two tribes.

Jeff Probst: Congratulations Soufrière. You guys win fruit, herbs, and spices. It should be a nice break from plain rice. You guys have one more order of business though. Who from Garibaldi are you guys sending to Exile Island?

Derek: We are going to send Ryan to Exile Island.

Jeff Probst: Ryan, grab your stuff and come on over.

Ryan grabs his bag and heads over to Jeff Probst.

Jeff Probst: Why Ryan?

Derek: He seems like a smart guy; but, we’re not sure if he can handle Exile Island.

Ryan just smirks and shakes his head.

Jeff Probst: Alright Ryan, who from Soufrière do you want to join you on Exile?

Ryan: I’m going to take Doug with me.

Jeff Probst: Alright, Doug. Come on over.

Doug picks up his bag and heads over to join Jeff and Ryan.

Jeff Probst: Doug and Ryan will return in time for the next immunity challenge. Here’s the map, whoever wants it, grab your stuff and head on out.

Ryan takes the map from Jeff and the two guys leave the challenge arena towards Exile Island.

Jeff Probst: Congratulations Soufrière, come grab your reward. You guys can head on back to camp.

An excited Soufrière tribe runs over to grab their reward. Once Soufrière leave, Jeff Probst turns back to the Garibaldi tribe.

Jeff Probst: Garibaldi, I’ve got nothing for you. Grab your stuff and head on back to camp.

Winning that challenge gave me a glimmer of hope. This means that our tribe doesn’t completely suck. I just have to hope now that we can use the momentum from this win to win the next immunity challenge. The more we win, the better my chances are of staying in this game long enough for a miracle to take place.

GARIBALDI:

Footage shows the Garibaldi tribe returning to camp from the reward challenge. The rain has not stopped; in fact, it’s coming down harder now. The camera then cuts to a confessional from Joan.

We come back from the challenge, and of course everything is soaking wet, including all of our firewood. Our fire is out and of course everyone is disappointed that we lost the reward challenge. So yeah, I would say that there is trouble in paradise right now. We just have to hope that the weather improves soon.

Joan Zdrill

Joan

The entire Garibaldi tribe is sitting in the shelter. Leila in particular is not in good spirits. The camera cuts to a confessional from her.

To tell you the truth, I’m actually scared of storms. Part of the reason I came out here was so that I would be forced to face my fear as I knew it would rain at some points during the game. Nothing is going to make me quit though. I’m not going to tell anybody about my fear, not even Alex, because I don’t want them to view it as a sign of weakness. (Sighs) I just hope this rain stops soon, so I can keep my sanity.

Leila Mostyn

Leila

Alex starts rubbing Leila’s back.

Alex: You okay Leila?

Leila: Yeah, don’t worry about me. I’m fine. It just sucks that it’s raining.

Clearly Leila is taking the storm a little bit worse than the rest of us. I don’t think she’s used to being outside in the rain. But from what I’ve seen of her, she is a fighter. I’m proud of her already for making it this far. I just hope we get another 29 days together out here.

Alex Gregoire

Alex

Krystle on the other hand, starts almost rocking back and forth and muttering to herself.

Krystle (muttering): Everything is wet… we have no dry wood for fire… we need to eat… we’re starving…

The people closest to Krystle in the shelter, being Jackson, Alyssa, and Braiden, are slightly frightened by what they are seeing.

Krystle is really starting to lose it out here. I seriously don’t think she is psychologically capable to play this game. For her sanity, and everybody else’s, we need to get rid of her as soon as humanly possible. I’m tempted to throw the immunity challenge if that’s what it takes.

Jackson Yuskow

Jackson

Krystle is a huge asset for me in this game in terms of getting ahead. Honestly though, the way she is acting, she is scaring the tribe s***less. We’re starting to think that she is legitimately crazy. If she’s going to survive our next tribal, she needs to really watch her words and actions… if she’s capable of doing that.

Braiden McAdam

Braiden

Even though the rain is still coming down strong, Krystle leaves the shelter to go and get the tribe’s machete. She then comes back in the shelter with the machete and starts to sharpen it. The camera then cuts to a confessional from Krystle.

I know what it looked like when I went to get the machete. I’m sure people were thinking that I completely lost my mind. But I think it needed to be done. After the rain ended we were going to need fire and food. We might have also needed to repair the shelter. So to me, a sharp machete was a priority for those reasons. I didn’t care what other people thought of it to be honest.

Krystle Jennings

Krystle

During the rainstorm, Krystle was muttering something to herself; she then went to get the machete, while it is raining, to start sharpening it. I just started thinking “Oh my God, this woman is psychotic. Maybe she needs some nice young men in clean white coats to come and take her away.” (Sighs) My goodness.

Joan Zdrill

Joan

While Krystle is sharpening the machete, and most of the Garibaldi tribe is miserable sitting in the shelter, Vanessa starts singing Tiptoe Through The Tulips by Tiny Tim with a smile on her face, rocking side to side.

Vanessa (singing): Tiptoe through the window, by the window, that is where I'll be. Come tiptoe through the tulips with me. Ooohhhhh…

While still singing, Vanessa grabs Alyssa’s shoulders and starts rocking side to side with her. Alyssa and Vanessa both start laughing and Alyssa joins in.

Vanessa and Alyssa (singing): Oh, tiptoe from the garden, by the garden of the willow tree; and tiptoe through the tulips with me…

With one arm still around Alyssa’s shoulders, Vanessa puts her other arm around Leila’s shoulders as well while still singing and rocking side to side. Leila doesn’t join in immediately, but eventually she starts laughing and singing along.

Vanessa, Alyssa, and Leila (singing): Knee deep in flowers we'll stray, we’ll keep the showers away…

One by one, most of the remaining Garibaldi tribe members start laughing and singing along with them. Only Jackson and Krystle do not sing; however, they both start laughing and enjoying themselves. The camera then cuts to a confessional from Vanessa.

I started singing because the entire tribe seemed to be getting miserable in this rain. I’m trying to unleash my power of positivity on these people and I think I did that. The higher our tribe morale is, the longer I am likely to stay around.

Vanessa Saluk

Vanessa

I love Vanessa, and I think the rest of the tribe does too. She just has this way with turning people’s frowns upside down, you know. But the way she led everybody in singing while we were all in the shelter together is a classic example of why I can’t take Vanessa to the final three. She’s a great asset for me right now; but, I don’t want to be sitting next to her in front of the jury. Nobody will be able to beat her!

Alyssa Watson

Alyssa

Day 11[]

EXILE ISLAND:

The footage shows Doug and Ryan on Exile Island. They are sitting under a tree together as it is still raining. The camera then cuts to a confessional from Ryan.

I chose Doug to come with me to Exile because I feel that he is a definite father figure on the other tribe. That is the only way I can see someone such as him integrating into that group. He also seems like a nice, genuine, trustworthy guy. I’m certainly open to making an alliance with him if I feel like it will get me further in the game. I just hope he feels the same way.

Ryan Kulikowski

Ryan

Ryan: So I’m just curious, if you do want to work with me somewhere down the line, we need someone on both of our tribes that we can trust to come with us to ensure we have the numbers.

Doug: Yeah definitely. To be honest, Soufrière is a real mess right now man. I see us being down in numbers come the merge at this rate. Integrating with your tribe is certainly something I’m interested in doing at this point.

Ryan: So who from your tribe do you trust most?

Doug: I’d say Ella; she’s like a daughter to me out here. I trust her 150%. Who from your tribe would you want to bring in?

Ryan: I trust Braiden whole heartedly. He seems very nice and genuine, and definitely trustworthy. We also seem to be on the same page in terms of strategy.

Doug: That sounds great, the four of us to the end. It’s our little Exile Island alliance. We just need to make sure Ella and Braiden are on board and that we maintain our connection and take control of Exile Island. The only thing that would make this better for us is if we had that idol in our possession.

Ryan: Yeah definitely. I’m starting to wonder if it’s at each camp.

Doug: For sure, these clues are so vague. They don’t say one way or the other. Then again, if it ever stops raining, we will have a better opportunity to look for the idol here anyway.

Ryan: Yeah. From what I’ve seen though, it’s either at camp, or someone that was already here has it.

Doug: Maybe both.

Ryan: Yeah, maybe. That makes me think that Joan might have it. That woman is constantly doing something at our camp. Then again, Alyssa strikes me as someone else that hasn’t been here from my tribe that might have the idol.

Doug: That makes me think that Deanne or Derek might also have it. Those two are extremely desperate right now. They know they are on the outs with the tribe.

Ryan: How so?

Doug: Derek’s been caught in a few lies already. Nobody trusts him as far as they can throw him. Deanne has also alienated herself from the beginning by associating with the wrong people.

Ryan: Interesting.

Doug: Anything noteworthy going on at Garibaldi?

Ryan: Ummm…

Doug: Oh come on now, I told you about two people on Soufrière that we need to watch out for. Besides, if we’re going to go through with this and align with each other, we need to trust each other with this sort of information.

Ryan: Braiden told me yesterday that he caught Alex and Leila practically having sex in the bushes the night before. The two of them are trying to hide the relationship from the tribe because Zachary called them out as a couple on like day 4. Clearly though, they are back at it.

Doug: That’s interesting.

I am feeling really good about this Exile Island alliance that Ryan and I are discussing. I don’t trust that sticking completely with Soufrière will benefit me in the long run, so it’s good to have options. If Ryan and I can maintain our connection through Exile, and make sure that Ella and Braiden are aware of the situation, this could be really successful. That is of course unless Ryan pulls a Brendan Synnott and screws it up like in Tocantins; but, I don’t think that will happen. I am really excited for this.

Doug Johnson

Doug

I always wondered what would have happened if Brendan and Sierra didn’t abandon the Exile Alliance in Survivor: Tocantins; now I have my shot. I really feel that if this is done right, I could go straight to the end with this alliance. Doug seems very trustworthy and based on the way he talks about Ella, I think the three of us and Braiden are a really good group to do this with. I am so pumped right now, you have no idea.

Ryan Kulikowski

Ryan

SOUFRIÈRE:

The camera shows scenes of the Soufrière tribe. It then cuts to a confessional from Derek.

I’ve been thinking, when I wrote Isabel’s name down at our first tribal council, I simply decided to do whatever Pamela and Jason were doing. This essentially made the two of them the swing votes. It kind of pisses me off that I was out casted and called a liar and a cheat and all of this for the move I made, while Pamela and Jason suffered absolutely no repercussions! Even though Deanne hates me, she’s shown that she can listen to logic. So, hopefully I can buy myself a few more days if I put some heat on Pamela and Jason.

Derek McLeod

Derek

The members of the Soufrière tribe are hanging in or around the shelter. It is still raining, but it has started to slow down quite a bit.

Ella: Nice to see that the rain is starting to slow down.

Kelly-Ann: Absolutely, we need to get a fire going again as quickly as possible.

Jason: Yeah, we’ll all start doing a little bit better once we get some food in our system.

Derek: Speaking of doing better. Jason, you and Pam are both really f***ing lucky!

Jason: Umm… how so?

Derek: That move to get rid of Isabel at the first tribal was decided by you guys! I only voted for her because the numbers to get rid of our Asian princess over here weren’t there!

Ella: Whoa whoa whoa whoa; hold on there, bucko! Who are you calling a princess? I work my ass off around here just like everybody else!

Derek: Oh don’t get your panties in a knot, Ella! It was an expression!

Ella just shakes her head. Derek continues.

Derek: Anyways Pamela and Jason, you guys love to come off as these amazing, truth telling Christian… people! Yet you guys are the ones this tribe needs to watch out for! You guys are just as big of deceivers as Deanne is, if not more! Not only that, but you (pointing to Pamela) have been to Exile and at the very least got an idol clue; and you (pointing to Jason) have been to Exile not once, but twice! This makes you, Jason, the most likely to be in possession of the idol!

Pamela: You know what? Those clues are extremely vague and don’t even specify if the idol is at camp or on Exile! For all we know Derek, you could have the idol!

Jason: Absolutely! Derek, you’ve been caught in multiple lies as it is. How can these people trust anything you say anymore?

Deanne: Thank you Jason, you took the words right out of my mouth, boy.

Derek: You guys all know that I’m telling the truth on this one! It’s clear that she’s been to Exile once and he’s been to Exile twice! Regardless though, they are both liars and deceivers!

Derek then turns to Pamela and Jason

Derek: I gave you guys the choice as to who to vote off between Isabel and Ella and you guys chose to vote off Isabel!

Pamela: Don’t try to drag us under the bus, Derek! We didn’t make any promises to Deanne and Lloyd like you did! We gave our word to Kelly-Ann, Doug, Ella, and Carson that we would stick with them and that’s what we’re doing! You came to us with the idea to vote out Ella, and then agreed that we should get rid of Isabel. We didn’t even bring it up Ella’s name! Don’t even go there!

Derek: That’s bulls***!

Deanne: I believe them.

Derek: Shut up, bitch! This isn’t about you!

Deanne starts chuckling and shaking her head.

Derek: You guys all know I’m right! I just want you all to listen to logic for once, and vote out either Pamela or Jason next time we go to tribal!

Derek throwing Jason and I under the bus worries me a little bit. I mean, yeah, I have the idol. But the rest of the tribe doesn’t need to know that, and I don’t want them to get that thought in their heads. I also want my alliance to trust us. I just hope our alliance thinks Derek is just desperate and blowing smoke. Otherwise, we could be in trouble.

Pamela Roslyn

Pamela

When Derek called out Pamela and Jason this afternoon, he made an interesting point. Not only were they the swing votes at our first tribal at the very least; but, they are also the most likely people to have the idol. I mean, yeah he might very well be desperate; but, I should keep a really close eye on those two for sure now.

Kelly-Ann Vnuk

Kelly-Ann

Day 12[]

GARIBALDI: The camera shows Jackson and Alyssa going to get tree mail for the immunity challenge. The rain has stopped.

Jackson: Do you think Krystle is going next if we lose?

Alyssa: I wouldn’t worry about it; she’s proven that she’s a nutcase.

Jackson: Okay.

I’m definitely worried about my position in the game if we lose the challenge; I mean, we were in the minority at our last tribal council. If we lose, I hope Alyssa is right about Krystle likely going. Otherwise, I will no doubt be losing another ally in either Alyssa or Vanessa.

Jackson Yuskow

Jackson

Alyssa and Jackson then take the tree mail over to the rest of the tribe and announce that they have it. The tribe then examines the tree mail together. The camera then shows a scene of the Soufrière tribe reading their tree mail.

Footage now shows scenes of the immunity challenge. It then turns to Jeff Probst.

Jeff Probst: Come on in guys!

The camera turns to the two tribes entering the challenge arena. Derek and Krystle are carrying the flags for their respective tribes. Once the two tribes reach their mats, the camera turns back to Jeff Probst.

Jeff Probst: We will now bring in Ryan and Doug returning from Exile Island.

Ryan and Doug enter the challenge arena and are welcomed by their respective tribes. The camera then turns back to Jeff Probst.

Jeff Probst: Are you guys ready for today’s immunity challenge?

All 17 Castaways: Yeah!

Jeff Probst: Alright, first things first Alex, I need to take it back.

Jeff then goes over to the Garibaldi tribe to retrieve the Immunity Idol from Alex. He then goes back in front of the two tribes and puts the Immunity Idol on its perch.

Jeff Probst: Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.

Jeff Probst then explains the challenge dubbed Gatecrasher. Garibaldi then chose Vanessa to sit out. Jeff then gives the two tribes a minute to strategize before they get started.

Jeff Probst: Survivors ready… GO!

Both tribes struggle out of the gate with the challenge. Garibaldi however starts to get the hang of it and takes a sizable lead over the Soufrière tribe. Garibaldi also works together much better than the Soufrière tribe does. In fact, there is arguing amongst the Soufrière tribe while only Krystle’s voice is heard on the Garibaldi side. Eventually, Soufriëre gets the hang of the challenge and starts working well together and only Doug and Deanne can be heard. Towards the end of the maze, Soufrière starts to catch up to Garibaldi. It is too late however, as Garibaldi makes it through the maze first and hits their gong for the win.

Jeff Probst: Garibaldi wins immunity!

The camera then shows the Garibaldi tribe celebrating their win followed by a disappointed Soufrière tribe. The camera then turns back to the two tribes standing on their mats with Jeff Probst in front of them.

Jeff Probst: Garibaldi congratulations.

Jeff Probst then takes the Immunity Idol and hands it to Krystle.

Jeff Probst: Nobody from Garibaldi going home tonight.

Krystle starts cheering again along with Braiden and Joan. Krystle holds the idol above her head for a few seconds.

Jeff Probst is now back standing in front of the two tribes.

Jeff Probst: Garibaldi congratulations, grab your stuff and head back to camp. Enjoy the night off.

Once Garibaldi leaves, Jeff Probst turns to the Soufrière tribe.

Jeff Probst: Soufrière, unfortunately for you, it’s a different story. Someone from your tribe will become the fourth person voted out of Survivor: Montserrat. You guys have the afternoon to figure out who it’s going to be. Grab your stuff and head back to camp, see you guys at tribal.

The camera then shows the Soufrière tribe heading back to their camp. It then cuts to a confessional from Deanne.

Surprise, surprise we lost again! This tribe sucks! The worst part is that I know I could be going home tonight. I’m hoping that with his outburst towards Jason and Pamela yesterday, Grandmaster Psycho, aka Derek, has dug himself into a deep enough hole meaning that I can be spared again. I have to try my best to ensure that is the case, I have no other choice at this point. It’s do or die for me right now.

GARIBALDI:

The footage shows the Garibaldi tribe returning from the immunity challenge. The entire tribe is clearly in good spirits. The camera then cuts to a confessional from Ryan.

I was really excited returning to camp from Exile Island, especially since we won immunity again. I have this great Exile Island Alliance thing starting with Doug, which will also include Braiden and Ella. The only thing left for me to do now is fill Braiden in on the plan.

Ryan Kulikowski

Ryan

The footage now shows Braiden and Ryan talking in the woods.

Ryan: There was a seriously major development that happened on Exile Island. I really truly think that Doug is very sincere. I made an agreement with Doug regarding an Exile Island Alliance. This alliance includes me, you, Doug, and Ella from the other tribe.

Braiden: Why would you do that?

Ryan: Well, I was just thinking that since Krystle is all crazy and we don’t know if she will even survive our next tribal council since she’s freaking everybody out. If she goes, that puts us in a bad position. This way, by aligning with Doug, we have options when the tribes get mingled. I know what you’re thinking, but Doug said that Soufrière is a huge mess and so he thinks that they will be down in numbers come the merge; as a result, they will jump ship and stick with us.

Braiden: I mean, I like the idea, and I think it works in theory. I’m just worried that it could be one of those things that sound good on paper, but are a huge disaster in practice.

Ryan: I took that into consideration. I know that whenever you do something like this, you’re rolling the dice. I just think that I have this really good read on Doug and I think that we can trust him and Ella to stick with us after the merge.

Braiden: Okay, I see what you’re saying. One question though, where do you think our final three deal with Joan fits into all this?

Ryan: That’s a good question, I’m not sure. I think after the merge, we can use her as an extra number. Whichever tribe is down in numbers after the merge, our best strategy will be just to eliminate the members of that tribe not in the alliance, and then flip and hopefully we’re down to seven, so that the four of us have the majority at that point. I’m thinking that if Soufrière is down in numbers as Doug supposedly predicts, we could take Joan with us and flip at nine if necessary rather than seven as we’ll know we have the majority.

Braiden: I see, then since we have Joan with us, that gives us the option of choosing who we want to go to the end with between Joan or Doug and Ella when the numbers get small enough.

Ryan: Exactly.

Braiden: Okay, this sounds good. I would just be wary of anything either Doug or Ella say as they are on the other tribe, they could be playing us.

Ryan: I know, I just have a really good feeling about this. Of course we need to keep our eyes and ears open; but, it’s still early enough that we can go another direction. Just trust me on this for right now.

Braiden: Okay, fine. I will trust you.

Ryan: Great.

So Ryan included me in this Exile Island Alliance thing that he agreed on with Doug while they were on Exile, which will also include Ella from the other tribe. I’m just worried because anytime you interact with a member of the other tribe, you risk putting yourself in a really bad spot in this game. But Ryan has a good feeling about this, so I’m going to trust him. I just hope it doesn’t end up biting us in the ass. Then again, it looks like our alliance with psycho-bitch Krystle may end up backfiring; so it’s good to at least have options… I guess.

SOUFRIÈRE:

The camera shows scenes of the Soufrière tribe. The mood at the camp is clearly one of disappointment as they are heading to a second consecutive tribal council. The camera then shows Doug and Ella talking in the woods.

Doug: So I was talking with Ryan on Exile and you know how our tribe sucks right?

Ella: Yeah.

Doug: Well if we do end up down in numbers at the merge we have a way out of it. I proposed to Ryan the idea of me, you, him, and Braiden from the other tribe forming a secret Exile Island Alliance.

Ella: Why Braiden from the other tribe?

Doug: Ryan said that Braiden was the one that he trusted the most.

Ella: Okay. Go on.

Doug: So if we do end up down in numbers, by aligning with them we have a way of integrating ourselves into the other tribe.

Ella: Do you think Ryan is sincere about this? Or do you think is he just blowing smoke?

Doug: I would say that he was probably sincere. He clearly got more and more excited as we were talking about it. You could just see it in his face. I think that if we go through with it, and align with him, we may have hit a gold mine. I’m dead serious.

Ella: That is amazing. Did you find out anything about the idol?

Doug: No, Ryan and both I searched for it, there was a fourth clue but we found nothing. Well, at least I found nothing. If he found it, he didn’t tell me. The clue didn’t specify either whether the idol was at Exile or at camp.

Ella: That’s what Pamela and Jason both said yesterday as well. So that worries me about our plans for tonight as now, either Derek or Deanne could possibly have it.

Doug: So I guess that means that we’ll have to split the vote then. No big deal, we’ll just get rid of Deanne on the re-vote then.

Ella: I’m not sure I want to do that anymore. Derek was a real ass**** yesterday. You have no idea; he just went off on this desperate rant directed at Pamela and Jason. It was terrible to watch. He also called me an Asian princess which I took offense to. He claimed that it was just an expression, but I work my ass off around here for this tribe.

Doug: I know you do. Whatever, I would still prefer Deanne to go at the re-vote because she’s weaker in challenges and I think she’s slightly less mature than Derek. Obviously what he said yesterday proves that he’s less mature than her, but that’s just my opinion.

Ella: Well, when we talk to the others about it, we can decide.

Doug: Yeah, for sure. Oh one more thing, Ryan told me that Alex and Leila from the other tribe are in some sort of romantic relationship. Ryan said that Braiden caught them having sex in the bushes a couple nights ago. They apparently don’t know that they’ve been discovered and Ryan and Braiden want to keep it that way for now, but yeah.

Ella: That’s interesting. I remember Jason saying something about that the other day. Apparently Vanessa caught Alex and Leila kissing or something like that. I just brushed it off because if Vanessa is in opposition to Alex and Leila, she might just be spreading rumors to put heat on them.

Doug: Yeah, I think I remember Jason saying something about that too. I think he told most of the tribe about that. Now that we heard it from two independent sources though, I think we can be pretty sure it’s legit. Not 100% sure as we don’t know if Ryan and Vanessa are together, but we can be like 90% sure.

Ella: Yeah, I agree.

Ella seems really into doing this Exile Island Alliance thing with Ryan, Braiden, and I. Of course we have to be wary of anything someone from the other tribe tells us, but right now, I feel really good about my place in the game and about choosing her to stick with me as we prepare to potentially take this chance.

Doug Johnson

Doug

Doug is like a father figure to me out here, the two of us are super close and I think he is a very sincere and genuine person. As a result, I’m excited about this Exile Alliance thing that he proposed to me. Based on what he is saying, I think we can trust Ryan from the other tribe as well. So that gives us so much more power in this game that I really appreciate. My biggest worry in this game though is the idol. Since Doug confirmed that the idol clues don’t specify if the idol is on Exile or at camp, this brings forth the possibility that either Deanne or Derek have it. That means we need to split the votes tonight to ensure one of them goes home.

Ella Sing

Ella

The camera now shows Deanne talking with Pamela and Jason on the beach.

Deanne: I know that I am a potential target tonight; but, I want you guys to know something. Jason, Derek has talked to me a few times today, and he’s trying to recruit people to send you home. He’s saying all this s*** like you are the person most likely to have the idol, that you are the real reason Isabel was sent home and that he’s on the outs, etc., etc.

Jason: Interesting, will you be voting for Derek tonight though?

Deanne: Of course! Why wouldn’t I be? I’m just warning you that the two of you need to watch your backs. This guy is insane and he is also desperate to stay here. He will do and say anything and right now Jason, you are his target.

Pamela: That’s good to know. I mean, with his outburst at us yesterday, we kind of figured that he would try to target us. It’s good to have confirmation though.

Derek is really desperate to stay in the game, and as a result, he’s targeting me for elimination, according to Deanne. That makes me really paranoid because he will say absolutely anything right now to stay in the game, and I’m worried that some members of my alliance might vote for me home as a result. At least Deanne warned me about this so I can stay on my toes and be wary of his behavior. That gives me a certain degree of comfort at least.

Jason Drysdale

Jason

The footage now shows the main alliance of six: Doug, Ella, Kelly-Ann, Carson, Jason, and Pamela in the woods discussing the upcoming vote.

Doug: I’m just worried about the fact that the clues on Exile Island don’t specify if the idol is hidden at camp or on Exile. I couldn’t find it if my life depended on it out there.

Jason: Yeah, that’s just what I was saying the other day. I mean, one would assume of course that the idol is on Exile; but, there is no way of knowing for sure.

Kelly-Ann: So that means that either Deanne or Derek might have it, and of course play it if they thought they were getting the vote tonight. So we really have no choice but to split the vote between them.

Carson: Yeah, I agree. So how do you want to do this thing?

Doug: I guess me, Ella, and Jason can vote for Deanne; and the rest of you can vote for Derek. Does that sound alright?

Pamela: Sure, whatever works for you guys is fine by me.

Ella: Yeah, I think Deanne and Derek will be voting for each other anyway; so one of them should be going home.

Kelly-Ann: So, who would you guys like to send home at the re-vote? If the vote goes how we think it will go, it will be a 4-4 tie.

Doug: I think Deanne should go. She’s weaker in challenges, and less mature than Derek in my opinion.

Pamela: She may be weaker in challenges, but I think Derek is more desperate. I think Derek will be more likely to flip at a tribe swap or a merge than Deanne.

Ella: Well, we need to start winning challenges, and we can’t be totally sure if a tribe swap will happen this season. Besides, how can we really tell if Deanne will be loyal? She might just be putting on an act.

Carson: So Deanne goes home at the re-vote then?

Doug: Yeah.

Kelly-Ann: Sounds good.

I’m terrified that the things Derek is saying are having an impact on my allies. Split votes are always risky and so if one or two people don’t follow through with this plan, I could be going home. Besides, now that I know that Derek wants me out tonight, I’m going to do whatever I can to try and get him out instead.

Jason Drysdale

Jason

The footage now shows Carson and Derek on the beach. The camera then cuts to a confessional from Carson.

I understand that Derek is desperate; but the things he’s saying about Jason and Pamela are accurate. Jason is the most likely person to be in possession of the idol. Besides, desperation can make people do crazy things in this game. I’m definitely going to try and do what I can to save Derek tonight in case Jason and Pamela try to pull something sneaky and get him out instead of Deanne as we discussed. Besides, he has nowhere to go, so I think he would be a good person for to align with on the side.

Carson Dupuis

Carson

Carson: The plan right now is to split the vote between you and Deanne and vote her out at the revote. I’m supposed to vote for you, so I’m just thinking that I will switch my vote to Deanne so that if you have the idol, you don’t have to play it, she will still go home.

Derek: I don’t have the idol. You can strip search me and search my bag if you like.

Carson: Uhhh… no thank you, I’d rather not do that.

Derek: Well then?

Carson: I know what you’re saying, but there’s no way I can convince my alliance that you don’t have it. If I just switch my vote, we will be all fine and dandy. Trust me on this.

Derek: What do you think of my idea to get rid of Jason?

Carson: I like it; I’m just not sure if we can get the numbers together to do it.

Derek: If your alliance is splitting the vote, you just need to convince one person. I mean, as much as Deanne annoys me, she has shown to be capable of listening to logic. I’m sure that I can convince her to vote for Jason.

Carson: I mean I can talk to Kelly-Ann. I’m not sure if she will be willing to switch though. I’m fine with flipping my vote from you to Deanne without talking to her because I can just pull a Natalie Anderson and pretend I messed up if they ask. Besides, Deanne is supposed to go home anyway at the re-vote, so I don’t see it being too big of a deal. But as far as voting for Jason, I need to know for sure that the numbers are there.

Derek: Would it be okay if I voted for Jason as a warning shot at the very least? He is so dangerous in this game right now.

Carson looks up at the sky and calculates the math in his head if Derek were to vote for Jason instead of Deanne.

Carson: Yeah, that should still work if I flip my vote. It would be four votes Deanne, three votes you and one vote Jason. I just need to talk to Pam and Jason again to make sure they are still on board with voting how they’re assigned.

Derek: Okay, that’s fair. Could you still talk to Kelly-Ann about voting for Jason though? I will convince Deanne to do the same, so we will have the numbers. This would be the perfect time to blindside him if he does have the idol.

Carson: You’re absolutely right. I will talk to Kelly-Ann, don’t worry about it.

Jason needs to go home as soon as possible, there’s no two ways about it. The reason he needs to go is that he is the most dangerous person in this game right now since he is the most likely to have the idol. If I am successful in getting him out, I am officially back in the game. If not, hopefully my warning shot at him will cause some chaos allowing me to sneak in. Besides, if Jason doesn’t go, Deanne should, so I’m happy.

Derek McLeod

Derek

The footage now shows Carson and Kelly-Ann talking in the woods.

Carson: Derek thinks that he is going to be able to convince Deanne to vote for Jason, and that the two of us should as well. I just want to know your thoughts.

Kelly-Ann: I’m really not sure to be honest. I think that we’ve gotten to such a point with Pamela and Jason that they would be more loyal to us than Doug and Ella.

Carson: I’m just thinking that if we blindside Jason tonight, the idol is most likely to be gone. Besides, I think that we can pull Derek in so that he will stick with us.

Kelly-Ann: So now you all of a sudden trust Derek of all people? Carson, the guy is desperate; he’s blowing smoke!

Carson: I’m not saying that we should completely jump ship; I’m just saying that we essentially would get rid of Jason and then replace Pamela with Derek.

Kelly-Ann: I’m not sure, Carson. I mean the stuff that Derek has been saying just screams desperation to me. I don’t think the guy is sincere at all. Besides, I think that we’ve worked so hard to build this trust with Pamela and Jason, so I don’t understand why we should just throw that away.

I don’t know what Derek told Carson, but honestly it makes me want to get rid of him more. I don’t like switching up the plan this late in the game, but obviously Derek convinced Carson that one of our allies needs to go. I don’t trust Deanne either, but still. I see merit in what Carson is saying in terms of wanting to get rid of Jason, but at the end of the day, this vote needs to come down to trust, and I have zero faith that either Deanne or Derek will stick with us, while I feel like I have built up trust with Pamela and Jason. So getting rid of Jason doesn’t make sense to me right now.

Kelly-Ann Vnuk

Kelly-Ann

I’m having a hard time convincing Kelly-Ann that Jason needs to go, but that’s okay. I’m not going anywhere tonight, so if Derek can’t gain Kelly-Ann’s trust, that’s his problem, not mine. There’s only so much I can do for him at this point besides changing my vote.

Carson Dupuis

TRIBAL COUNCIL:

The 8 members of the Soufrière tribe enter the tribal council area carrying their torches. Jeff Probst is standing in the hut waiting for them. The tribe members each put their torches in their holders and take a seat on one of the stools. Jeff Probst then sits down himself.

Jeff Probst: Alright, at the last tribal council we saw that there was an alliance of six that was formed including Carson, Kelly-Ann, Ella, Doug, Pamela, and Jason. Then there was Derek, Deanne, and Lloyd who was voted out grouped together on the outside. Deanne, is it safe to say that it is still that division, only six on two?

Deanne: I wouldn’t say it’s that black and white, Jeff. I mean, Derek has been throwing everybody in sight under the bus these past couple days, so maybe six on one on one would be a better way to describe it.

Jeff Probst: Derek, would you agree with that?

Derek: I mean, as Deanne said, I don’t think it’s quite black and white.

Jeff Probst: What do you mean by that?

Derek: Well, I’m not exactly with Deanne anymore since Lloyd was kind of the glue that held us together. But I’m not exactly against her either at this point.

Deanne: Jeff, what he’s really saying is that he’s against me, but he wants Jason to go home tonight!

The members of the Soufrière tribe start looking around at each other, shocked by what Deanne had just said. Derek does a face-palm. Jason looks at the sky and starts shaking his head.

Jeff Probst: Wow. Derek, would you say that’s accurate?

Derek: I guess, I mean, Jason is the person that has been to Exile Island the most, making him the person most likely to have the idol.

Deanne: Derek, it’s not I guess! You either want Jason out, which is what you told me, or you don’t. If you don’t one can only assume you’re voting for me. So which is it?

Derek: I do think that Jason should be the one going home tonight. He is the most dangerous person in the game right now. I’m just not sure if that’s going to happen tonight?

Deanne: There you go Jason; Derek is writing your name down tonight.

Jason just lets out a sigh and starts shaking his head.

Jeff Probst: Jason, what are you thinking right about now?

Jason: I’m not sure what to think Jeff. I’m incredibly paranoid that I might be going home tonight that’s for sure. I think I just need to pray to God that I do the right thing tonight and that it’s not me. But I can tell the entire tribe honestly, I do not have the idol as Derek is asserting. Derek is really desperate to stay in the game right now, so he will say anything he feels that he needs to in order to stay.

Jeff Probst: Kelly-Ann, where’s your head at right now?

Kelly-Ann: I mean, as Jason said, Derek is clearly extremely desperate right now and he will say anything if he thinks it will help him stay in the game. Not only that; but everyone that has been to Exile Island so far, has said that those clues are extremely vague. This means that anyone on this tribe can have the idol, even Deanne and Derek.

Jeff Probst: Derek, would you agree with what Kelly-Ann said?

Derek: Hell no, Jeff! I don’t have the idol, nor would I know the first place to look for it. You can search my bag and strip search me if you like.

Jeff Probst starts chuckling.

Jeff Probst: Thanks Derek, but I think I’ll pass. Deanne, how about you? What are you thinking right about now?

Deanne: I’m just sitting here praying that I am going to stay in the game, Jeff. But I just want to say that Derek is somebody that can’t be trusted. He’s proven these past few days that he’s practically psychotic! If I can be honest here, I don’t even think that Derek is a physiotherapist as he claims to be.

Derek is clearly surprised at Deanne’s comment.

Jeff Probst: Derek, are you a physiotherapist?

Derek: Of course I am, Jeff! Why the hell would I lie about that?

Deanne: Derek, you’ve lied so much these last 12 days that there is no way we can trust anything you say anymore. I didn’t trust you from the moment I laid eyes on you, and every day, you prove my hunch to be correct!

Derek just shakes his head.

Derek: That’s not true, Jeff. Deanne is only saying that out of desperation.

Deanne: I know I’m right, and that’s all that matters.

Jeff Probst: Well, it has certainly been another crazy tribal council. I have absolutely no idea who will be going home tonight. But it is time to vote, Pamela, you’re up.

Pamela goes up to the voting podium and casts her vote; it is not revealed. Doug is the next person to vote, his vote for Deanne is revealed to the public.

Deanne, you’ve had a terrible attitude over the past few days, I’m glad I finally get to vote for you. Hopefully, you go home tonight.

Doug Johnson

Doug

Ella and Carson are the next two castaways to vote. Their votes are not revealed. Derek is the next person to vote, his vote for Jason is revealed to the public.

I’m really not sure what is going to happen with this vote tonight, Jason. If it turns out to just be a warning shot, so be it. But hopefully it becomes more than just that and you end up going home. You are the most dangerous player right now, and I hope these people recognize it.

Derek McLeod

Derek

Kelly-Ann is the next castaway to cast a vote, her vote is not revealed. Once Kelly-Ann sits back down with the rest of the tribe, Deanne goes up to the voting podium to cast her vote. Deanne’s vote for Derek is revealed to the public.

As my favorite band, Skillet would sing (singing quietly) “Circus for a psycho, psycho g-g-go. Circus for a psycho, psycho away you go!” … Hopefully.

Deanne Arbuthnot

Deanne

Jason is the final castaway to cast his vote. The camera shows him pondering his vote for a bit before he starts writing a name on the parchment. Jason’s vote is not revealed. Once Jason sits down, the camera turns back to Jeff Probst.

Jeff Probst: I’ll go tally the votes.

Jeff Probst leaves to go and grab the urn containing the votes. He then comes back and stands in front of the tribe.

Jeff Probst: If anybody has a Hidden Immunity Idol and you want to play it, now would be the time to do so.

There is a slight pause as the tribe members look Derek, Deanne, and/or Jason. When nobody plays an idol, Jeff Probst continues.

Jeff Probst: Okay, once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I’ll read the votes.

Jeff Probst opens the urn and takes out the first vote.

Jeff Probst: First vote… Jason

Jason gets visibly nervous once he sees that someone voted for him.

Jeff Probst (reading the next vote): Derek.

Deanne. We’re at one vote Jason, one vote Derek, one vote Deanne.

Deanne.

Derek. We’re tied, two votes Deanne, two votes Derek, one vote Jason.

Derek.

Deanne. We’re tied again; three votes Derek, three votes Deanne, one vote Jason. One vote left. Jeff Probst pulls out the last vote.

Jeff Probst: Fourth person voted out of Survivor: Montserrat…

Derek. You need to bring me your torch.

The entire Soufrière tribe, except for Jason, is shocked at the outcome of the vote. Derek and Carson’s jaws both dropped wide open. Derek doesn’t move for a couple seconds. He then gets up to grab his bag and his torch.

Derek: S***!

Deanne smiles.

Derek takes his torch over to Jeff Probst and places it in the holder in front of Jeff.

Jeff Probst: Derek, the tribe has spoken.

Jeff places the snuffer on Derek’s torch. As he takes it off, smoke can be seen coming out of Derek’s torch where his flame once was.

Jeff Probst: It’s time for you to go.

Without addressing his former tribe, Derek walks out of the tribal council area, and heads off into the night.

Jeff Probst: Well, I think it’s clear that trust was the theme of this tribal council. You guys are clearly thinking about who you can trust to stick with you as the game goes on and gets more and more intense. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this turns out for you guys the next couple of days. Grab your torches, head back to camp; good night.

The outro music plays as the seven remaining members of the Soufrière tribe grab their bags and their torches and head back towards their camp.

Voting Confessionals[]

Derek, you are the person on this tribe that I trust the least. I hope you end up regretting your decision to call Jason and I out yesterday.

Pamela

Deanne, you’ve had a terrible attitude over the past few days, I’m glad I finally get to vote for you. Hopefully, you go home tonight.

Doug

Deanne, I wish it could have been Derek going tonight because he's such an ass****. Unfortunately though, my allies don't trust you, and I have to stick with them. Sorry.

Ella

Deanne, you are loud and ignorant. I really don't think you know how to play this game properly.

Carson

I’m really not sure what is going to happen with this vote tonight, Jason. If it turns out to just be a warning shot, so be it. But hopefully it becomes more than just that and you end up going home. You are the most dangerous player right now, and I hope these people recognize it.

Derek

I considered your idea to vote out Jason, but I just figured that since we spent so much time building trust with him and Pamela, that it would be foolish just to throw that all away. You're not supposed to go home tonight; but, if Deanne pulls out an idol, adios amigo.

Kelly-Ann

As my favorite band, Skillet would sing (singing quietly) “Circus for a psycho, psycho g-g-go. Circus for a psycho, psycho away you go!” … Hopefully.

Deanne

I thought a lot about this the past few minutes, and I am voting for you based on the fact that you are coming after me. I can't trust you. I know I might get some backlash back at camp for changing my vote; but, I need to do what I can to save my own ass. For my sake, you need to go home now.

Jason

Final Words[]

I can’t believe this has just happened. Someone else must have switched their vote. (He pauses for a second to think) Oh my f***ing God! Jason flipped! That bastard! Damn it! (Sighs) I hope these people wise up and send Jason home next, that boy is so much sneakier than he makes himself out to be. But you know what? They’ve been warned. If Jason wins, he deserves it. That boy certainly got me good.

The episode title was said by Deanne Arbuthnot during her fight with Derek McLeod on day 10 when he said "I can get loud too; what the f***!" similar to Sandra Diaz-Twine.
