It Just Takes One Person is the sixth episode of Survivor: Guadeloupe.

Previously on Survivor...

After Dallas switched his vote to Ruby, Taylor was furious, and the two of them had a confrontation. The next day, Taylor's alliance went hunting for the immunity idol. Dallas, not wanting them to find it, created a decoy idol in hopes that they would give up searching.

On Goyaves, Ida attempted to apologize to Regan about her mess-up, but Regan did not accept the apology. Rodger, seeing the animosity between the previously strong alliance, took advantage of that, and set up an alliance with Abbie, Ida, and Holly.

At the immunity challenge, Bananier floundered, giving Goyaves immunity, and forcing Bananier to send someone home. Lydia eavesdropped on the majority alliance's conversation. She discovered that Dallas had created a fake immunity idol, and that there was a real immunity idol still out there somewhere. Taylor's alliance ultimately found the immunity idol. They played it, sending Izzy home with three votes. Luke silently swore revenge.

Fourteen are left, who will be voted out next?

Challenges

Immunity Challenge: Lock, Load, and Light

Contestants must build a boat, retrieve fire, build a puzzle and a ladder, then light a bucket on fire.

Winner: Goyaves

Story

Night 15

Bananier

When the tribe arrived back to camp, Taylor, Lydia, and Beth immediately retreated into the shelter, laughing and gloating loudly about what they pulled off.

Luke rolled his eyes. It was clear that he was still annoyed about Izzy's departure.

I'm pissed off right now. Izzy wasn't supposed to go home tonight. So Taylor can have her little celebration, but trust me, next Tribal will be far from celebratory, at least on her end.

–Luke

The men discussed what they would do next.

Quote1At least we still have the numbers, right guys?Quote2- Ryan
Quote1Yeah, but just barely.Quote2- Luke
Quote1As long as no one flips, we'll be fine.Quote2- Adam
Quote1Let's take a vow: Nobody switches sides. Then, we can stick through this.Quote2- Luke
Quote1Agreed.Quote2- Dallas, Adam, Ryan

But Dallas was having second thoughts.

It's extremely fun to turn the game on its head. It entertains me to watch people scramble, attempting to secure their spot. My alliance is still up in the numbers, but if somebody flips, it's all over. It just takes one person to change the outcome... And that person might be me.

–Dallas

Meanwhile, the women celebrated.

Quote1That was amazing! Did you see the looks on their faces?!Quote2- Taylor
Quote1I know! Luke looked like he was about to explode!Quote2- Beth
Quote1Now, we just need to find another idol to use against them.Quote2- Lydia
Quote1Or we could get someone to flip, or we could just pretend we have the idol.Quote2- Taylor
Quote1Do you really think any of them would flip?Quote2- Beth
Quote1I'm not sure. I hope so.Quote2- Taylor
We were able to take out Izzy, and now we're realizing that we need to either win the rest of the challenges up until the merge, or get someone to flip onto our side.

–Taylor

Day 16

Goyaves

Regan was just discovering that she had been dethroned as queen of the tribe.

I'm not in the majority alliance. I'm on the bottom. If we lose an immunity challenge, I'm going home next. And we can't have that. So, I've concocted a little... scheme, so to speak. One that will put me back in my rightful position in the tribe.

–Regan

Regan went straight to Abbie. Abbie was perfect for Regan's plan. Abbie was paranoid and impulsive. Which made Abbie a good person to use as a scapegoat.

Quote1Abbie, I have the idol, as you know.Quote2- Regan
Quote1Yeah, I also don't care.Quote2- Abbie
Quote1Oh? So, you wouldn't care if I just played the idol at Tribal Council, and you would be sent home?Quote2- Regan
Quote1Regan, you probably shouldn't reveal your idiotic plans to the enemy. It won't make you look any smarter.Quote2- Abbie
Quote1Shut up and listen to what I have to say. If we lose the challenge, I'm going to play my immunity idol at Tribal Council, and my whole alliance will vote for you. You're going to go home.Quote2- Regan
Quote1Regan, why are you telling me this? We're on separate alliances.Quote2- Abbie
Quote1Because... I don't want to have to vote you out. I'm willing to bargain. If you turn on your alliance, and vote for Rodger the next Tribal Council, I won't let you go home.Quote2- Regan
Quote1And if I don't vote for Rodger?Quote2- Abbie
Quote1You go home. Simple as that. Think it over, and remember: I can turn this tribe against you. I will if I need to.Quote2- Regan

I'm extremely worried right now. I'm in a lose-lose situation. If I betray my alliance to save myself, I'll look like a complete traitor! If I stick with my alliance and Regan plays her idol, I'll go home! This sucks.

–Abbie

Regan smirked as she walked away from Abbie. Phase One: Complete. She knew that Abbie was now paranoid. And when Abbie got paranoid, Abbie made bad decisions. And when Abbie made bad decisions, she'd take everyone of her old alliance down with her.

Rodger thought that he could just ruin Regan's game like that? He had another thing coming.

I'm on my way to controlling the game again. My plan is absolutely foolproof. It's obvious Abbie will vote for Rodger, and then I'll take total control. Try and scheme your way out of that, Rodger.

–Regan

Day 17

The Goyaves tribe and the Bananier tribe thought that they were about to participate in a reward challenge. Jeff Probst tried not to smirk. The game was about to get shaken up.

OK, glad to see you all here. Now, I'm going to give you all the chance to mutiny to the other tribe. If you want to mutiny, step off your mat right now. You have ten seconds.

–Jeff Probst

Everyone, though surprised at this turn of events, was clearly mulling over the pros and cons of mutinying to the other tribe.

Five... Four... Three... Two...One... (Abbie steps off of her mat) Abbie is mutinying.

–Jeff Probst

I mutinied because it seemed like the only way out. Because I mutinied, I avoided making a decision about what to do with the Regan thing. Hopefully my alliance understands.

–Abbie

Rodger and Ida both looked half-astonished, half-angry. Abbie had screwed up their plans of taking Regan down!

Abbie is an absolute idiot, because she screwed up our plans for no reason whatsoever! I'm not sure why she did it, but she betrayed us. Considering that she was hated by the whole tribe until I took her under my wing, you would think that I'd at least find out what was going on!

–Rodger

Regan looked smug.

My plan is going flawlessly, even better than I expected! Rodger, this is what you get for messing with the ruler.

–Regan

Brenden gave a fist pump. Harvey smiled from ear-to-ear, because now, Abbie the Annoying Flea (as Harvey had christened her) was gone!

Holly, though shocked, didn't seem too upset. She understood that Abbie probably had a reason for mutinying. She just wondered what it was.

The Bananier tribe had a lot of trouble cooperating, giving Goyaves and early lead. But Goyaves' boat fell apart, giving Bananier the time to gain on them. When it came time to do the puzzle, Abbie and Lydia floundered due to the pressure. Holly and Ida worked well together, ultimately winning the Goyaves tribe immunity. Rodger shot a smug grin over to Abbie.

I bet that Abbie's definitely regretting mutinying now. We kicked some serious (bleep) in that challenge.

–Rodger

Bananier

The dejected Bananier tribe trudged back to their camp. Abbie went off in the woods to go get some firewood, and Luke, Adam, and Ryan went off to fish. Meanwhile, Dallas used this time to talk to Taylor, Lydia, and Beth about the vote.

Quote1OK, ladies, I just want to tell you three that Abbie's being voted off tonight, so you guys don't have to worry.Quote2- Dallas
Quote1Here's what I'm thinking. Do you realize that whenever there's a conflict going on, Ryan never gets blamed? Ever? Somehow, even though there's a whole lot of mudslinging going on, Ryan somehow winds up clean. Adam too, but Ryan more so.Quote2- Taylor
Quote1I think the wisest decision would be to vote him out.Quote2- Lydia
Quote1Yeah, what's the point of getting rid of Abbie right now, anyway? If she mutinied, she's obviously not happy in her old tribe. Why would she flip back at the merge?Quote2- Beth
I'm not an idiot, and neither is my alliance. We all know that if we can get arrogant, slightly paranoid Dallas to vote out Ryan, then, we can use Abbie in our alliance to demolish the other men. Hopefully, we've convinced Dallas that keeping Abbie is a good idea.

–Beth

Dallas thought about the plan for a moment. If Lydia, Taylor, Beth, and Abbie all voted for Ryan, and then Dallas' alliance all voted for Abbie, then there'd be a tie. If no one switched their vote, then they'd have to draw rocks.

Dallas did not want his game to end due to a rock.

I'm in a rather precarious spot right now, because I'm the swing vote. If Ryan gets to the merge, then Ryan will be absolutely unstoppable. He's almost as strong as me, he's very charismatic, and he always comes out of a conflict clean. But Abbie is just as deadly when the merge comes. Who's to say that she won't just flip back to her old tribe?

–Dallas

Tribal Council

Quote1Abbie, I'm sure everyone is wondering why you chose to mutiny. So, let's get that question out of the way.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1I wasn't in a very good spot in my tribe. If Goyaves had lost the challenge, and I hadn't mutinied, I'd be getting my torch snuffed right now.Quote2- Abbie
Quote1Luke, mutinying is a bold move. Do you think that it creates a target on Abbie's back?Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1It certainly could, Jeff. If she's willing to turn on her old tribe, who's to say she wouldn't do it to us? Also, Abbie showed that she's not afraid to make a big move that shakes things up. That's the sign of a great strategist.Quote2- Luke
Quote1Taylor, should you vote out Abbie just because she's new to the tribe?Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1I think that Abbie deserves to be here more than certain people. People don't trust her because they're scared she'll just flip back post-merge. Sure, she mutinied, but she mutinied because her old tribe didn't want her. Why would she go back to a tribe like that?Quote2- Taylor
Quote1Lydia, last Tribal Council, you guys pulled off an amazing blindside, voting off Izzy. Do you think that there'll be another one tonight?Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1We'll see, Jeff. If everything goes according to plan, someone's gonna be shocked.Quote2- Lydia
Quote1OK, it is time to vote. Abbie, you're up first.Quote2- Jeff Probst

If anybody has a Hidden Immunity Idol and you want to play it, now would be the time to do so.

–Jeff Probst

No one stands.

OK, once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out must leave the Tribal Council Area immediately. I'll read the votes. First vote: Abbie. Abbie. Abbie. Ryan. Three votes Abbie, one vote Ryan. Ryan. Ryan. We're tied, three votes Abbie, three votes Ryan. Ryan. Four votes Ryan, three votes Abbie. One vote left. Seventh person voted out of Survivor: Guadeloupe...

–Jeff Probst

Ryan. Ryan, I'm going to need you to bring me your torch.

–Jeff Probst

Luke was once again baffled. What had just happened? Adam and Ryan had obviously not known, so Dallas must have switched his vote! But why? Luke leaned over and whispered to Dallas, "You have a lot of explaining to do."

Voting Confessionals

You seem nice, but I don't trust you.

–Luke

I never really got to know you, but if this is what's going to keep me in the game, then so be it.

–Abbie

Ryan, don't think of this vote as mean or nasty. This is done because you're a huge threat if you get to the merge.

–Taylor

Abbie, if you're willing to turn on your old tribe, I don't think I can trust you. Sorry it had to end like this.

–Adam

My vote is essential to the way the game will play out. Sorry I had to stab you in the back, but I'm doing what's right for me.

–Dallas

I'm confident in you going home tonight.

–Ryan

Hopefully you're the one going home.

–Lydia

You're a huge threat, Ryan. See ya later.

–Beth

Final Words

I've had a great time out here, I wish I could have stayed longer. I was hoping to just remain under-the-radar to the end, but man. Taylor's smarter than she looks. She caught on quickly.

Next Time on Survivor...

Luke plots his revenge.

It's time for me to stop playing the good guy and start being the bad guy. I have nothing to lose.

–Luke

And someone breaks down.

I can't do this anymore. I just want to quit this whole stupid game!
