Pet Peeves: Fake Christians and stubborn people.
3 Words to Describe You: Faithful, dedicated, and hardworking.
If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? My Bible so I can keep doing my devotionals, a picture of my family to help me feel close to them, and an espresso maker to help me stay awake.
SURVIVOR contestant you are most like: That I've seen? Matt Elrod. (I just started watching this show a few years ago.)
Reason for being on SURVIVOR: My son mentioned the idea of seeing his momma on Survivor when we were watching it one night. I thought it would be a fun experience. Besides, it's another opportunity to talk to people about Jesus. An unconventional way, for sure, but still.
Why You Think You Will Be the Sole SURVIVOR: I'm physically strong, and I'm a woman of my word. Who doesn't want a loyal ally?
Ever since her early teen years, Jasmine Taylor has been a woman of faith. She is known to be very loyal, strong, and compassionate, which she hopes will help her get far in the game. She hopes that her sometimes opinionated nature doesn't prove to be a detriment. If she wins, she plans to help start her own church.
Survivor: Japan - Civil War
Jasmine was the fifth person chosen by Lawrence Ridley to be a part of the Ashikaga tribe. She kept relatively quiet early on, but questioned Landon Mays' readiness for the game when he chose to sleep on the beach instead of in the shelter. After Ashikaga lost the first immunity challenge, she got into Patton Southwell's alliance, which was formed to oust Lawrence from power. Jasmine questioned Lawrence's ability as a leader. However, Kyle Nichols convinced her to switch her vote to ally Shannon Mobley instead, which led to Beth Spurlock's elimination in a 5-4-1-1 vote.
Upon returning to camp, she was confronted about the vote by Patton. She confirmed that she did indeed switch her vote, which prompted him to put his coup on hold to get rid of her to make an example out of people who ruined his plans.
Ashikaga lost the next day's reward challenge despite Jasmine's strong performance. Over that day and the next, Jasmine grew unpopular with her tribemates for being dour and judgmental. Patton exploited the situation for his own advantage by conspiring with Lawrence to vote her off. On day 6, despite another strong challenge performance by Jasmine, Ashikaga lost, making it possible for Patton to proceed with his plans. In the end, Jasmine's attitude was deemed to be not worth her athletic prowess, and she was blindsided in a 7-3 vote.
