Julia Liu is a contestant from Survivor: Mongolia.
Name (Age): Julia Liu (32)
Tribe Designation: Sevrei
Current Residence: New York City, NY
Occupation: Fashion Designer
Personal Claim to Fame: Starting my own independent line of clothing, 'Win Some, Liu's Some'.
Inspiration in Life: My late father once told me when I was younger, "Let the truth come from you, not others." I have made that my motto for as long as I have been in the fashion business.
Hobbies: Working out, playing poker, tanning.
Pet Peeves: People who try to feign kindness or any emotion for that matter.
3 Words to Describe You: Outspoken, Independent, Gorgeous
If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? 1) A journal to record such a memorable experience with, 2) A book of Mad Libs, it keeps the mind witty and creative, 3) A bottle of wine to eventually celebrate my victory with.
SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: Sandra Diaz-Twine, the girl had a mouth on her, but she's the only two-time winner of Survivor. Coincedence? I don't think so.
Reason for Being on SURVIVOR: I'm a huge fan of the show, so I've always wanted my chance to show that I can run this game for 39 days.
Why You Think You’ll “Survive” SURVIVOR: The fashion world is very taxing, and Survivor should be like this, minus the luxuries. I've succeeded at the former, so there's no reason I shouldn't succeed at the latter.
Why You Think You Will Be the Sole SURVIVOR: I'm going to play the game like it has never been played before, and I guarantee the jury will respect my game and reward me with a novelty-sized check with my name on it.
Julia was one of twenty castaways chosen to be on Survivor: Mongolia. Very early on, Julia started working on building herself an alliance. She quickly connected with Scott Colston and Henry Schumann. Her choices in allies would benefit her when all three were put on Sevrei on Day 5. When Tony Alvarez stumbled upon an idol, she and Scott did everything in their power to flush it out of him. They would vote out Victoria Brown at their first Tribal Council while Tony played his idol unsuccessfully. Now having majority, Julia and the rest of her alliance set their sights on Tony or Cassie Abbott as the next to go, but Henry's health would derail their plans. Much to her chagrin, Julia joined her enemies in unanimously voting out Henry. Afterwards, Julia started to distance herself from her closest ally Scott and became more selfish and lazy as the game progressed. After the Day 16 tribe absorption, she recruited former Manlais Jake Robinson and Melissa Edwards in blindsiding Scott, who had initially targeted her. After the successful blindside of Scott, Julia and the rest of Sevrei were informed that they had merged. At the traditional merge feast, Julia quickly singled herself out by stealing food from the feast, much to the anger of her tribemates. She was able to stave off elimination by winning the first individual immunity challenge, but she could not survive another vote. She was unanimously voted out and sent to the jury. At the final Tribal Council, Julia condemned the final two of Melissa and Jenn Klesko by saying that they were the least-worthy final two in the history of Survivor. Her vote for Sole Survivor was for Melissa for the sole reason of knowing her longer than Jenn.
