Profile

Martin Bowel is a 43 year old Stay-at-Home Dad from Worcester, Massachusetts. While his wife was called away on tour for the Army, Martin decided to leave his job and take on the role his wife once had of taking care of his children and home. Martin and his children had always loved watching the show, so he auditioned for Survivor as a way to make his kids proud of him and to provide for his family while his wife is away.

Survivor: Caucasus

As Martin arrived to his designated Rioni tribe camp, he found himself sleeping without a shelter on the first day due to a fight between Hazel Quezada and Heather Villegas. The next day, Martin revealed the awkwardness of being in the middle of two warring alliances as he, Agatha Christenson and Max Fisher were yet to be offered a position on either side, making them the outsiders.

“	It's kind of awkward the way our tribe is divided. Agatha, Max, and I have been sleeping in Hazel's shelter, but only because it is the better of the two. However, neither her group nor Heather's have talked any strategy to any of the three of us. I don't know where we belong.	”

After losing the immunity on Day 6, Martin, along with the rest of the tribe, voted out the tribe's laziest and weakest member, Max. On Day 7, Martin expressed his concern on being eliminated after Max's elimination at the last Tribal. However, Agatha was able to convince him otherwise.

“	The way Agatha explained it to me, it seems like we have three options. We can go with Hazel's group or with Heather's group. Either way, we'll end up being the swing vote. We can also go with not joining either, but they'll probably band together once again and vote us out, and I would prefer if that were to not happen. So I guess we're left with having to choose a side.	”

His tribe ended up losing the next Immunity Challenge as well, and was told by Agatha to vote for Hazel, whom Heather and her alliance wanted out. At Tribal Council, Hazel was voted out.

After finding out about the double Tribal Council, Martin and his ally were kept in the shadows about his alliance's plan of splitting the votes between Gerardo Guzman and Rachel Hudson. However, this backfired on them as Martin and Agatha ended up jumping sides after feeling betrayed after the votes were revealed and helped vote out Winston Grant. Soon after, a tribe switch occured and Martin was put on the all-male Alazani tribe, splitting up the pair of Martin and Agatha.

On his new tribe, Martin made up the minority alliance which consisted of himself, Gerardo, and Aaron McCarthy. However, many goof-ups around camp and in challenges made him the prime target out of the three. And despite his alliance's attemps to rally votes against Van Stevenson, Martin was voted out in a 4-3 vote.
