Previously On Survivor...[]
- Liza's self promoted leadership of the Nakota tribe began to rub some castaways the wrong way.
- Constantly shifting alliances placed Jaxon and Jeffrey on the bottom, while Hazel was on top of the world. However when Lewis overheard Hazel trying to manipulate Jeffrey into thinking she was still with him, he reported the incident to Kumar placing Hazel's standing in the game on uncertain ground.
- When Chippewa won immunity, Jasmine and Benjamin found themselves on the outs. However Spencer was able to convince old enemies to place their feelings aside in order to blindside a much bigger threat. When the votes were revealed, it was Liza who became the eighth person to leave the game.
Ten are left, who will be voted out tonight?
Story[]
Night 18[]
Nakota[]
The Nakota tribe rows their boat slowly back to camp. With only five people paddling their speed is significantly slower than what it was when they had a complete tribe, making it much more of an exhausting travel. Henrik has refused to say a word or even look at anyone since tribal council, where he was blindsided when his best friend was voted out of the game.
The tribe reaches their beach, and Henrik quickly hops out of the boat ahead of his tribe mates and head up toward camp. Everyone else decides to give him his space, and take their time getting their things together. Once on land Benjamin gives Danielle a hug and thanks her for flipping in order to save him. Once he releases her, she looks up to him and smiles, ensuring him that it was no problem at all. Benjamin, Danielle, Jasmine and Spencer then all make their way toward the shelter.
Once they reach their actual campsite, they can see that Henrik's already in bed for the evening with his eyes shut.
While everyone sits around the fire, Henrik hides in the darkness of the shelter where nobody can see him having a weak moment. He lets out a few whimpers, but ultimately hides his emotions well. He wipes his tears, and rolls over to go to sleep.
Later on Spencer and Danielle find themselves alone, and Spencer pulls the hidden immunity idol out of his pocket. Revealing to Danielle that he had managed to convince Liza to give it to him before her elimination. Danielle grins a wide open smile, then giggles while clapping her hands. The two hug and celebrate their successful night.
Day 19[]
Nakota[]
As the sunrises, you can see the silhouette of Henrik sitting on a nearby hill overlooking the valley. Taking in the views, he reminisces in the memories he spent eighteen days making with his new friend Liza. Although this is a game of strategy and betrayal, he managed to grow extremely close with her in their short time together. An experience like Survivor is one that can bond anyone, especially when they have an undying mutual trust.
Later in the morning Henrik has yet to come back to camp. Jasmine cooks a pot of rice, while everyone else still lazes around camp and perform their mundane morning duties.
Benjamin, who at this point is standing behind Jasmine (who's crouched down stirring the pot) with his arms crossed, watches Henrik walk throughout the trees on the far side of the field.
“ | Henrik's quiet, almost an unsettling quiet. I've always thought that he was weird. For all we know he's trying to find an immunity idol or plotting some master plan. |
” |
–Benjamin |
Henrik returns just as the rice is being served. He thanks Jasmine with a smile for his helping, and everything seems to have returned to normal. Danielle's almost a little creeped out by his sudden mood change, almost as if nothing had happened at all.
After breakfast, Jasmine and Benjamin get together in the forest.
Benjamin: I trust you, I do, one hundred percent. I'm iffy about Spencer, he needs to prove himself more. As for Danielle, I still don't think we can rely on her. I know what she did last night was a big thing, but I can't shake the feeling that she'd turn on us.
Jasmine: Spencer's straight up flakey, but we need him right now. Keep in mind, he flipped so quickly on Liza and Henrik, he wouldn't hesitate to do the same to us. Danielle... (sighs), Danielle, Danielle, Danielle, she's a sneak. She'll do what ever is best for herself, and she'd back stab us too if it benefited her.
Benjamin: So do we actually trust these two?
Jasmine pauses for a moment, and takes the time to truly debate he question Benjamin just asked.
Jasmine: No. No, I guess not.
Benjamin: Exactly. What if we said 'cya' to Danielle and Spencer, and allied with Henrik. He would have stuck with Liza through thick and thin, he'd be more likely to have our back than those two. If we teamed with him, we'd have the majority to knock one of those two out of this game.
Jasmine: I don't know, bud.
Jasmine would never admit to it, but she herself feels a little unsettled by how quickly Benjamin is willing to turn on two people who just tried so hard to save him from going home.
Chippewa[]
It's afternoon at the Chippewa camp, and it's a low key day for the tribe members. Lewis sits on a stump twiddling his thumbs.
“ | Once all your chores are done, there's only so much you can do out here. |
” |
–Lewis |
They all sit around with one another and talk about the upcoming merge. They've yet to be given any clue to when the exact timing of it's occurrence will be, but they all know it'll be soon.
“ | The merge was a goal of mine coming into the game. So to still be here knowing it could happen any time now, it's exciting! |
” |
–Hazel |
Hazel suggests to the tribe that for the next few challenges, each time they should bring all of their personal belongings since they might not be coming back to their camp. They all agree that, that's a good idea.
Later on, Kumar and Lewis sit cross legged on the ground, playing a game of tic tac toe in the peddle sand. Time after time Kumar uses the same strategy of first filling three corners, leading him to a win every game. Lewis makes a stupid joke relating the game of tic tac toe to Survivor, Kumar gives him a small grin and tells him that he's not even close to being funny.
As they continue to play their game, and begin to talk some strategy. Kumar states that the more and more he thinks about it, the less he feels that they can trust Hazel. Although he doesn't wish to jump to conclusions as he was not the one to overhear the previous conversation between herself and Jeffrey. Lewis agrees that they shouldn't get ahead of themselves, but that he too doesn't feel good about relying on her vote either. Hazel appears out of nowhere, and sits down beside them. Causing them to abruptly end their conversation, causing somewhat of an awkward moment. Both Kumar and Lewis try to carry a conversation about a random subject in attempts to hide the fact they were talking about her.
Day 20[]
Reward Challenge[]
Challenge: Kicking and Screaming
One member of each tribe would hang on to a post. Two members of the opposing tribe would attempt to remove the tribe member from the post and drag them across the sand to the finish line. The first tribe to get the member of the other tribe across the finish line would receive one point. The first to two would win.
Reward: A set of clean clothes
Jeff asks the survivors how they're doing, and teases a merge. The excitement is high in the air. Jeff then dashes their hopes by informing them that there's still two more tribal challenges between them and the merge.
“ | Today's performance in the challenge by our tribe was just embarrassing! We're capable of better, and I hope we can pull it together in time for the next immunity challenge. |
” |
–Jeffrey |
Nakota[]
Returning to camp everyone is quick to change into their fresh set of clothing. Danielle and Jasmine even wash up in the lake beforehand, trying to indulge in the clean feeling as much as possible. Danielle buries her face into her new shirt, and takes in the smell of freshness before putting it on.
Danielle and Jasmine hang around the waters edge for awhile, and Jasmine takes the opportunity to once again express her appreciation to Danielle for voting Liza off. Danielle reassures her that what has happened up until now has been forgotten, and looks forward to moving ahead. She shows excitement over the fact there's one more challenge left before the merge, meaning even if they do lose they have the numbers to vote out Henrik, guaranteeing they would all make the merge. Jasmine forces a smile, as she knows that Benjamin is already trying to plot against staying united with Danielle.
Benjamin's eyes follow the two girls as they walk from the water back up to camp. As the two return they find Benjamin sitting in the shelter, tapping his fingers on the structure. He immediately pulls Jasmine away. Danielle is left looking confused.
“ | I don't need Danielle and Jasmine becoming all buddy-buddy. I need to try and keep that girl in check. |
” |
–Benjamin |
Benjamin tells Jasmine that he's positive at this point that the right move is to blindside either Danielle or Spencer the next opportunity they get. Jasmine is visibly uncomfortable by this statement, and tells Benjamin that he's being paranoid over a situation that there's nothing to worry about.
Benjamin insists that Danielle was trying to work Jasmine over down at the water, causing Jasmine to snap and sternly tell him that he needs to settle down as he was not part of the conversation. Benjamin is taken, and for a second remains quiet before fixing his comment, "well that's what it looked like from my vantage point". Jasmine tells him that she can respect that, but the conversation that look place in no way was possible to be a form of working her over, as she was the one that initiated it. Benjamin can tell that Jasmine's getting angry with him, and decides to back down for now. However he still doesn't trust Danielle, and by association Spencer, and still plans to bring up the plan if they are to attend another tribal council.
Chippewa[]
Kumar and Lewis are alone in the forest, they've decided to go with their gut instinct that they cannot trust Hazel. As they feel they cannot rely on her to give them a majority vote, they need to come up with a new scheme to save themselves. Their plan is to hope that Jaxon and Jeffrey aren't in on a plan to use Hazel to funnel information, and turn them against her on the grounds she's playing both sides.
“ | This could work great, or they could run to Hazel saying 'oh the two boys are trying to get you out'. At this point we have nothing to lose, so we'll see! |
” |
–Lewis |
Lewis pulls Jeffrey, along with Kumar, and they state their case. At first Jeffrey isn't too sure whether or not he can believe what they're telling him, but due to the fact Hazel had been so honest with the two of them they were able to tell Jeffrey things that they'd only know if Hazel had told them. Jeffrey's thought process is visible all over his face, he smacks his lips and replies with "I see."
“ | If this is true, then I was wrong to think I could trust Hazel. I gave her a chance and she (bleep)ed it up. |
” |
–Jeffrey |
Jeffrey walks through camp, passing Hazel along the way, looking for Jaxon. Upon hearing the news of Hazel's supposed flip, Jaxon looks frightened and overwhelmed until Jeffrey mentions that both Kumar and Lewis have purposed a truce in order to get rid of her. Eliminating the worry that they had fallen into the minority. Jaxon shrugs as he was never close to Hazel, and suggests that this could potentially even be good for them as they might be losing an ally, but gaining two more. Jeffrey nods his head, and talks about working with both boys as they enter into the merge. This would cover their bases in almost every corner. Jaxon's look of concern quickly turns into a look of satisfaction as he realizes he might have benefited from Hazel's selfish move. Jeffrey sits with an evil grin on his face.
“ | Oh, you wanted to screw us did you? Well screw you. |
” |
–Jaxon |
Day 21[]
Immunity Challenge[]
Challenge: Sudden Death
The castaways would race into a field to collect three bags containing letter tiles. Each time they untie a bag, they must bring it back to their station. Once they have collected all three bags they would untie them and start working on the two-word phrase. The first person to solve the phrase correctly wins immunity.
Jeff announces to the castaways that it's time for their first individual immunity competition. Hazel throws off her buff, she's ready to merge, while everyone else looks to Jeff with confusion based on his statement at the previous challenge. He then reveals that tonight is a double tribal council, with both tribes voting someone out. The mood instantly drops, so do a few heads and a few jaws.
Immunity Challenge: Sudden Death | ||

Hazel, Jaxon, Kumar, Lewis |
Nakota | Danielle |
Benjamin, Henrik, Jasmine, Spencer |
Nakota[]
The tribe returns from camp, Danielle is beaming as she is one of the first two people of the season to wear the individual immunity necklace.
“ | Winning feels great, I cannot believe I've made the merge! My only worry is that this win could place an even bigger target on my back. |
” |
–Danielle |
Henrik's body language is that of someone who's defeated. He knows he's outnumbered against the alliance of Benjamin, Jasmine, Danielle, and Spencer, and just wishes to enjoy his final few hours in the game.
Returning to camp everyone sets their belongings down, Henrik walks passed the shelter and Benjamin motions for him to come over. He does and Benjamin whispers to Henrik to meet him in the forest within five minutes, and walks away.
The two meet, and Benjamin wants to know where Henrik's head is at. Henrik replies by saying he expects to go home tonight as he's on the outs, but Benjamin tells him that he doesn't necessarily think that's what needs to happen.
Back at camp Jasmine stands with her hands on her hips, looking from side to side. "Has anyone seen Ben?"
“ | Ben's nowhere to be found, Henrik's missing too! I'm not stupid. This guy needs to stop, he's starting to try and play a bit too hard! |
” |
–Jasmine |
The scene cuts back to Benjamin and Henrik, with Henrik expressing his doubts that they could pull off a blindside since they need one more vote. Benjamin urges him not to worry, as he believes he can sway Jasmine into voting their way. "Spencer would never see it coming", Henrik replies.
“ | Just when I thought I was a goner, here comes new hope. |
” |
–Henrik |
Later on, Benjamin pulls Jasmine aside. He purposes the idea once again of keeping Henrik, and voting out Spencer. Elaborating that Henrik poses no threat to them once they merge. Jasmine agrees that Henrik is virtually useless in the game but still refuses to flop, stating that they have a potentially strong alliance that could dominate and she's not willing to give it up. Benjamin spends a few minutes begging her, and constantly getting shut down, until he finally nags her enough that she snaps. "Fine! (bleep)ing fine, Ben! I trust you, okay? This is me putting my trust into you. I think this is a really bad idea, but if that's what you're SO passionate about, I'll do it." Benjamin stays quiet, then a smile takes over his face. He thanks her and promises that it's the best decision for their game.
The two part ways, and Jasmine heads back to camp. She emerges from the trees, and runs her hand throughout her hair. She's internally struggling with what to do.
Chippewa[]
Lewis sits on a tree stump in the center of camp, deep in thought, with his hands pressed against one another and held up to his mouth. Jeffrey walks into camp and Lewis looks up to him and raises his brow. Jeffrey nods his head, and Lewis breathes a sigh of relief. "The old girl it is then", he says.
Meanwhile in the forest, Hazel approaches Kumar about the upcoming vote. She catches up to him, and asks if they're still going with their plan to vote out Jaxon. Kumar doesn't respond right away, instead looks to the ground. Hazel gives up a puzzled look, then an expression of shock takes over as her mouth opens wide in surprise. "No! Come on now, what happened? Is it me?", she can read his body language easier than words on the page of a book. Kumar looks to her with big puppy dog eyes, it's easy to tell he feels bad about voting her out.
“ | (In tears) I don't know what I did. I thought I had this great alliance, and now they want to vote me out. |
” |
–Hazel |
Hazel begs to know what changed their minds, and Kumar just continues to look to the ground. She places both her hands on either of his shoulders, "Kumar, please." He looks up, and stares into her eyes and tells her that they know she's been playing both sides. She questions what he's talking about, and Kumar refers back to the conversation with Jeffrey that Lewis had overheard. Hazel's brow wrinkles, she's quite taken back that anyone had overheard that. She tries to convince him that it was just her way of trying to ensure he still thought they were aligned, when in reality she was with them. By this point Hazel's getting panicky, and it's making Kumar uncomfortable.
Hazel has to excuse herself due to a panic attack.
After she calms down, Hazel finds Lewis. She knows that as he was the one to overhear the conversation, it was likely his decision to vote her out. Lewis apologizes, and explains that he just cannot trust her anymore. Crying, Hazel makes a heartfelt plea to him to try and convince him to keep her. It's not very effective.
Lewis is pissed. After managing to get out of his conversation with Hazel, he tracks down Kumar and demands an explanation as to why he told her she was the one leaving. Kumar explains his reasoning, and Lewis freaks out. "What if she plays her hidden immunity idol now, huh?", Kumar tells Lewis that he hadn't thought of that. Lewis warns Kumar that he needs to be more on his feet in the game.
Hazel might not have an immunity idol, but she does have her vote voucher. If she chose to play it at tonight's vote, she'd only need one more vote to maintain her majority.
Tribal Council (Nakota)[]
At tribal council Jeff addresses Liza's blindside. He points out Henrik's surprised reaction, along with Liza's whispers to Benjamin upon grabbing her torch. Henrik explains that he too was blindsided, and that he has been left at the bottom of the tribe. Jeff asks Benjamin if it's safe to assume that he was behind Liza's surprise elimination, to which he nods his head and agrees but refuses to take full blame. Jeff asks Henrik if that means he's leaving tonight, Henrik just shrugs and says that anything's possible but he's not holding his breath. It's then time to vote, Danielle is the first sent to the urn.

Henrik, the tribe has spoken.
Henrik's torch is snuffed and he leaves the tribal council area.
Tribal Council (Chippewa)[]
Upon arriving to tribal, Jeff immediately inquires into Hazel's red, puffy eyes. She admits to have been crying, as she knows she is likely to be leaving tonight and wishes that she could have another chance. Jeffrey interrupts her saying she had a chance, but blew it by trying to play like a wimp. This causes Hazel to show visible frustration. Jeff asks Jeffrey what he means by his statement, and Jeffrey proceeds to call Hazel out for playing both sides. Hazel snaps and tells Jeffrey to keep his mouth shut, as she is tired of all these false accusations. Jeff suggests she sets the story straight, and she gladly complies. She admits to forming and alliance with Lewis and Kumar, but tells the two boys she only wanted Jaxon and Jeffrey to think she was still with them to gain information and safety, but truly intended on playing with them. She looks to the two boys and tells them that, that's the honest truth. Kumar and Lewis look toward one another, both unsure of what to do. Jeffrey and Jaxon both remain silent. Hazel clears the air saying she's letting everyone know where her loyalties lie, and she hopes her allies maintain having her back. Lewis whispers into Kumars ear, and Kumar nods. Hazel openly admits to voting for Jaxon, and suggests they both do so as well. Hazel is then sent to the voting urn. Before she casts her vote, she stands and gives Jeff her vote voucher. She turns to the four boys and explains its power, elaborating that even if the plan is to vote her off, if one of them disagrees they can flip and change everything.
