Now I Want the Glory is the season finale of Survivor: Uruguay!
Previously On Survivor[]
Thirty-five days ago, 18 Americans were marooned in the country of Uruguay divided into three tribes based solely on their age. The Rocha tribe consisted of the youngest castaways, all under the age of 30. The Paysandu tribe was made up of people all between the ages of 30 and 39. Finally, all of the oldest castaways were on the Soriano tribe, all being over the age of 40. The tribes were hit with their first twist right off the bat when they were asked to pick leaders, who would then be tasked with “making a decision for the tribe as a whole,” which turned out to be picking the person they felt was the tribe’s weakest member. Billy quickly designated himself as the leader for the young tribe, and picked Brianna as the weakest. Paysandu chose Jodi as the leader, who then decided that she felt Laura was the weakest. Lastly, the older tribe chose Frank as the leader, who then made a strategic decision to pick the 43 year-old Guy as opposed to someone who was much older and weaker, thinking Guy would give the tribe the advantage if the three chosen castaways participated in a challenge. Instead of a challenge, the three chosen castaways were given a helicopter ride to camp where they were asked to choose between a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, or an extra bag of rice for the tribe. Only Guy chose to take the clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, and as such, spent as much time as he could looking for it, which drew suspicion from many of his tribe mates.
Over on Rocha, the six youngest castaways seemed to be getting along fairly well, and made some early strides, which included Kayla getting the tribe fire on the first day. By the second day however, personalities started clashing, which led to a heated argument between Kayla and Shane over a joke the latter told to Mikol about child cancer. Due to the offensive nature of the joke, Kayla threw the immunity challenge the next day (against the wishes of the rest of the tribe), with the hopes of getting rid of Shane as soon as possible. Prior to the first vote, the tribe seemed divided between getting rid of the emotional Kayla or the physically weak Shane. Meanwhile, Billy was making alliances with each of his tribe mates, and Michelle, Brianna, and Shane all started to suspect that this was happening, leading to them not trusting Billy and considered making a big move off the bat. In the end, Michelle and Brianna determined that Shane’s physical weakness would continue to bring down the tribe and that he was a potential strategic threat, and as such, Shane was blindsided with only Mikol being left in the dark. The drama on Rocha only got worse after this blindside as Kayla feared that Mikol desperately wanted her out, and began to target him. Meanwhile, Billy continued playing the game hard and pitting people against each other. Rocha did manage to avoid the second Tribal Council, but at the very next vote, Billy’s scheming caught up with him, and he was blindsided 3-2.
Much like the youngest tribe, the oldest tribe also had their fair share of drama, mainly regarding the clashing personalities of the two oldest castaways, Gerald and Susan, who targeted each other from the get-go. At their first tribal council, neither of them would get their way as the trio of Frank, Christine, and Yvonne decided to blindside the untrustworthy Guy. However, Gerald would ultimately come out on top in the rivalry as Susan was voted out a few days later. On Paysandu, the tribe appeared to get along fairly well for the most part, and were by far the strongest of the three tribes. Early on, an alliance between the three men of the tribe dubbed the “Paysan-dudes” was formed. However, early cracks formed in the alliance as Shannon and Nick did not trust each other. Even still, the tribe placed either first or second in every single challenge, avoiding every single Tribal Council in the early part of the game.
On day 12, when the castaways arrived for the reward challenge, they were shocked to find out that the tribe that placed last would be dissolved into the other two. In the end, it was the younger tribe that placed last, and as such, the three women were sent to Soriano, and Mikol was sent to Paysandu. On Soriano, some new friendships were formed between the young and old, namely Kayla with Yvonne and Christine. However, the clash between young and old became evident when Kayla and Gerald argued over rice consumption. In addition, this switch added some fuel to the fire of some already existing rivalries, with Kayla venting to Yvonne and Christine about her frustrations with Michelle, and Michelle doing the same about Kayla with Frank and Gerald. Not only that, but new faces at camp only increased Frank’s desire to make a move against the duo of Yvonne and Christine. In the end, at Tribal Council, the younger women stuck together, while Frank flipped on his former tribe, blindsiding Yvonne.
Over on Paysandu, Mikol felt extremely out of place being the only person from Rocha on the tribe, allowing for his social anxiety to be well documented with his new tribe mates. However, he did manage to form a close friendship with Kenley pretty early on. In addition, Shannon tried to use Mikol as a number to blindside Nick, although Mikol was weary of Shannon from the beginning. Unfortunately for Shannon, after Paysandu finally lost an immunity challenge, Laura refused to vote for anybody besides Mikol, ruining his plans to blindside Nick. Shannon then tried to craft a new plan to blindside Laura, but Mikol didn’t trust Shannon’s new plan, and managed to get the numbers to turn the tables on Shannon by the time the vote came around.
On day 18, the two tribes merged into Una Tribu. It became clear fairly quickly that alliances were being formed based on tribal lines, putting Mikol as the swing vote between the original Rochas & Sorianos as well as the original Paysandus. Meanwhile, Gerald still didn’t trust Frank due to the latter’s betrayal earlier in the game, and attempted to gather numbers to blindside him. As a result of a severe miscommunication, Mikol did not know who the original Rochas and Sorianos were targeting, causing him to stick with the original Paysandu and blindside Gerald. Following Gerald’s blindside, the Rocha/Soriano alliance tried to convince Mikol that he was definitely on the bottom of the alliance of Paysandus, although Christine and Frank both threw each other under the bus claiming that the other was untrustworthy. In the end, Mikol once again sided with Paysandu, opting to blindside Frank. Following Frank’s blindside, Mikol expressed his desire to make a move against Jodi, believing that she was running the game, although the former Rochas and Sorianos were skeptical since Mikol burned them twice before, with both Michelle and Kayla going to Paysandu and offering to help vote the other one off. When Jodi won immunity, a wrench was thrown into Mikol’s plans as he had to come up with a new target. Reluctantly, Mikol (along with Nick) decided to flip on the Paysandu alliance (dubbed “The Orange People by Michelle), by voting against Mikol’s close friend, Kenley. However, Jodi had a feeling that Mikol in particular was planning a blindside, and played her idol on Kenley figuring he’d get the votes. As a result, Paysandus votes for Kayla sent the youngest castaway to the jury.
Following Mikol and Nick respective flipping on their alliance at Tribal Council, the original Paysandus were hurt by their choice. While Mikol apologized for hurting his friends, Nick ignored his former allies and turned his focus to getting them out of the game, namely Jodi, who had started a rumour that Kenley had an idol and would play it on her if he won immunity. Sure enough, Kenley won immunity, which got the new majority alliance paranoid about an idol play, with Nick suggesting that they split the votes between Jodi and Raina, thinking that it would be easy to manipulate Laura into switching sides. However, Nick’s new alliance, along with Mikol, abandoned the plan and forced a 4-4-1 vote before eliminating Laura due to not knowing what Laura was going to do as well as the possibility that her sweet and loyal nature would make her a potential jury threat. Laura’s elimination would then give the majority alliance the numbers they needed to vote out Kenley and Raina in succession. Meanwhile, Jodi spent her time trying to put targets on the backs of Michelle and Brianna (claiming that they were a tight duo and that Michelle was a threat to win) and Christine (claiming that she was the biggest threat to win). Following Raina’s elimination, Jodi also added the fact that she believed there were two idols between Christine, Michelle, and Brianna, in order to stir up paranoia and get the majority alliance to turn on each other, which they were forced to do when Jodi won immunity. At Tribal Council, Brianna played the idol she found on herself (despite Michelle urging Brianna to play it on her). However, the votes were split between Brianna and Michelle, meaning that Michelle ended up being voted out on the re-vote. Now, only 5 remain.
Brianna: The Friend – Having not known much about the game on day one, Brianna did the one thing she knew how to do very well, make friends. She has played a mostly quiet game thus far, forming strong, social bonds with tribe mates and allies. Will her idol play at the previous vote allow her to earn respect from the jury as a player? Will she now be seen as a competent strategic threat? Will the friendships she’s made along the way lead her to victory? Or will her competitors start to see her as too much of a threat, and blindside her?
Mikol: The Conscience – Coming into the game being haunted by social anxiety, Mikol had more to overcome if he wanted to get to the end than most people. Although he initially wanted to make friends and stay out of the drama, that proved to be impossible for him very quickly, especially when he was forced to be the swing vote when the tribes merged. As the game went on, while Mikol does feel bad for betraying some of his close friends, he also started to become confident enough to make moves and take control of the game. Will people respect Mikol’s growth and his strategic gameplay enough to give him the win? Or will Mikol’s betrayals ultimately cost him the game?
Jodi: The Law – From the very beginning, Jodi has shown that she is not afraid to take control of the game and that she is not afraid to do or say whatever is necessary to get herself ahead. From the time Mikol and Nick flipped however, Jodi has played on the defensive and has fought tooth and nail to stay in the game. Will Jodi be able to shake the target on her back and win the game? Or will that target be too much for even her to overcome?
Nick: The Iron Fist – From the very beginning, Nick has vowed to take emotion completely out of his game and play based on strategy, and strategy alone. While this approach has gotten him this far, it has also seen him get called things such as “cold” and “arrogant” by fellow tribe mates. Will his ruthless approach to the game ultimately earn him respect from the jury? Or will a lack of solid relationships lead to his demise?
And…
Christine: The Elder – Throughout the course of the game, Christine has not been afraid to make a move or two in order to advance herself. She is the last remaining member of the original “Older Tribe,” has not had a vote cast against her until day 35, and yet still has a Hidden Immunity Idol in her possession. All that being said, Christine is finally starting to be seen as a genuine threat to win the game by her fellow castaways. Does she have what it takes to make that final push to get herself to the end and win? Or will she fall just short of the money?
Challenges[]
Immunity Challenge (Day 37): Spoon Man
Each person will use two very small paddles to maneuver a ball through a series of obstacles. If at any point the ball drops, they will have to go back to the start. The first person to transfer three balls wins.
Immunity Challenge (Day 38): Self-Destruction
The final four will have to stand barefoot on a small, individually-proportioned perch above the water for as long as possible. Every 15 minutes for the first hour, they will pull a rope and release a section of the perch, making it fall. After one hour, a section 'less than half the size of a postcard' will remain.
Story[]
Night 35[]
Una Tribu[]
The scene opens up on night 35 as the final five return from Tribal Council following Michelle's elimination. Brianna however has a clear look of shock on her face as she leans her torch against a sturdy tree and the camera transitions to her confessional.
We now see the five castaways approaching the fire pit, as Nick begins to bring their fire back up so the tribe can warm themselves. Brianna then decides to pull Mikol aside in order to inquire about the vote. Once the two of them leave, Christine begins to talk quietly to Nick.
Christine: You know what this means, don't you?
Nick (Shrugs): What does it mean?
Christine: She [Brianna] clearly has a brain of her own. She disobeyed Michelle tonight, so what's to say she didn't have more control than we gave her credit for this whole time?
Nick: You might be right. But I'd rather take my chances against her than against lawyer lady.
Christine: Fair point, I guess. I just don't think it would be wise to have Brianna in the finals with us.
After Christine's confessional, the scene transitions to the conversation between Brianna and Mikol regarding the vote after the former pulled the latter away from the others.
Brianna (A bit awkwardly): So, uhhh... what happened at the vote?
Mikol (Sighs): Look Brianna, I'm really, truly sorry for blindsiding Michelle, but I just felt as though it was the best move for my game because she was such a massive challenge threat and strategic threat.
Brianna nods indicating that she understands what Mikol is saying, but is unable to hide the look of disappointment on her face.
Mikol (Reassuring): I promise you that this does not affect our relationship, Brianna. Nor does it change the fact that I still want to go as far as I can with you. It's just that I was scared that we wouldn't have another opportunity to eliminate Michelle after tonight.
Brianna: No, it's okay... I get it. I didn't think that the jury would respect someone like Michelle, but obviously you thought they would. No hard feelings.
Mikol: Nick is still adamant that Jodi go home next, and honestly, I think that move would be for the best. Jodi's got all of her allies on the jury now, and even though she claims to not be good in challenges, she's won two immunities already. I haven't even one immunity yet!
Brianna: True. I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world for us to take Nick to the end. It's just that the last thing I want is for someone like Christine to make it to the finals. We only have three days left after all, so the end is now dangerously close!
Mikol (Sighs): Look Brianna, I truly am sorry for going behind your back and blindsiding Michelle. I know you're probably hurt by it, but that's why I'm being so open and honest about why I made the move. You deserve to know the truth, and I mean it when I say that I don't want to vote you out next.
Brianna: N-no, I get it, and I really do appreciate you being honest with me about this. Trust me, you making this move doesn't change the fact that I still want to go to the end with you. While that's mostly because I don't see myself beating either Jodi or Christine, it's still true nonetheless.
Mikol: Well, thank you for your understanding.
The footage then transitions to a shot of Brianna and Mikol talking and laughing together as they return to camp, clearly having changed their discussion to something much more pleasant and light-hearted. We then see that Christine, Nick, and Jodi are all still sitting by the fire and notice the other two returning back to camp. The camera then zooms in on Jodi's face before cutting to a confessional from her.
We now see one last shot of the final five sitting by the fire as the camera transitions to the Survivor: Uruguay intro one final time.
Day 36[]
The scene then transitions from the intro, to the morning of day 36. Unfortunately for the castaways, in addition to it being a fairly cold morning, heavy wind and rain have descended upon the Una Tribu camp, forcing the final five to huddle together in the shelter.
Brianna: My goodness! I didn't expect to wake up to this tonight!
Mikol: Well, we haven't had a storm for a little while, so I guess mother nature wants to give us one last big one before the game's over.
Nick: At least there's not much that we actually need to do today... besides eat, I guess.
Mikol, Brianna, and Christine all giggle for a couple of seconds at Nick's little jab. The camera then pans over to show Jodi, who appears to be frustrated and angry.
The camera then transitions back to the shelter, where we can see the castaways engaging in light conversation in order to pass the time.
Brianna: So Christine, how'd you react when you saw your original tribe's buff?
Christine: I had a good chuckle over it, that's for sure! I never expected to be on a tribe that shared the same colour as my last name. Yet another reason I'm glad I didn't take my husband's last name when we got married. (Giggles) But, if his last name was "Green", that would have made things even funnier!
Mikol (Chuckles): Oh for sure! You would've been the Teal-Green family, then come here and been on the teal-green tribe!
Christine (Smiling): Precisely! But oh well, I'm sure Robert and the boys are gonna have a bit of a chuckle regardless when they see the first episode of the show.
Nick: Your husband didn't notice when he came for the loved ones visit?
Christine (Shrugs): I doubt it. He probably didn't suspect my original tribe was teal 'cause our tribe's colour is now brown.
Nick: Yeah, but Mikol, Michelle, and Brianna were all wearing red. So I thought it would've been pretty clear that our shirts were colour-coded to match our tribes.
Jodi: Not necessarily. Robert probably just wasn't paying attention to what everyone else was wearing because he was focused on Christine, whose shirt was filthy by the way. Not only that, but it's not like Robert spent the night here.
Christine (Giggles): True enough, true enough. Either way, I'm sure Robert and the boys will have a slight laugh when they watch the first episode of the show. Robert in particular is the kind that likes to point out little details like that.
Brianna: I know this is kind of off topic, but I'm just curious. Why didn't you take your husband's name when you got married, Christine?
Christine (Shrugs): I just figured "why should I have to take his last name?" I mean, yeah I'm part of his family now, but Robert's also part of mine. The woman taking the husband's last name goes back to when a married couple was referred to as one single person by law, which would have been the husband. If I got married in the era where women were forced to change their last names by law, I'd be known as Mrs. Robert Klimenko.
Both Mikol and Brianna are clearly intrigued by what Christine is saying.
Brianna (Nodding slowly): Wow, interesting.
Christine: I didn't want any part of that because I'm not my husband's property. We're meant to be equal partners. It's also the reason that we decided to hyphenate our children's names so that they go by "Teal-Klimenko" because it shows that they're part of two families that united to become one.
Jodi: Yeah, that's fair enough. Although I ended up taking my husband's last name when we got married for the sake of simplicity. I totally respect your position, Christine. I'm just not the type to get hooked on little details like that, especially when any reasonable person would understand that men and women are equal now under the law.
Christine: Yeah, that makes sense. I don't have a problem with the option being there for either men or women to take the other's last name when they get married whatsoever. It's just something I'm glad is no longer required.
The footage then transitions out of Christine's confessional and shows short clips of various wildlife in the rain. After a time-skip, we are taken to a shot of the five castaways still in the shelter, although a few hours have gone by. The wind has slowed down a bit, but the rain is still quite heavy.
Jodi (Frustrated): Ugh! This is f***ing ridiculous!
Mikol (Nodding): Yeah, I hear ya'. It's not fun sitting in this thing most of the day.
Jodi (Rolls eyes): Oh, ain't that the truth?! I get bored easily when I'm at home and not doing anything for a while, never-mind being stuck outside in Uruguay during a rain storm!
Christine: Let's all just hope this storm passes soon. At least the wind seems to have died down.
Nick (Taking a glance at the sky): That may be true, but I don't see any end to these clouds whatsoever. I've got a feeling that we'll be in here for a while longer.
Jodi (Shakes head): I swear, I am going to go crazy if I don't get out and do something soon.
Nick (Smirking): Go out in the rain then. Nobody's stopping you.
Jodi (Sarcastically): Yeah, because I totally want to get myself even more soaking wet and uncomfortable.
Brianna: To be honest, I share Jodi's sentiment on this. I just can't stand sitting around and doing nothing for extended periods of time.
Jodi: At least somebody gets it.
The camera then focuses on Nick, who still has a confident smirk on his face.
We then see one last shot of the final five in the shelter as it continues to rain before the camera fades into a commercial break.
Day 37[]
We return to the program in the late-morning of day 37. The rain from the previous day lasted all night and into the early morning. Although the rain has since stopped, there is still quite a bit of cloud cover, making it seem as though the rain could start up again soon. After a transitional shot of a Southern Lapwing flying over the Atlantic Ocean, we see Brianna and Jodi talking as they make their way to the water well to fill the tribe's canteens.
Brianna: I don't know about you, but I'm just glad to be out of that dang shelter and to be actually able to walk around and do things today!
Jodi (Rolls eyes): Tell me about it! I've actually been meaning to talk to you all day yesterday, to the point where I was tempted to ask if you wanted to sneak out in the rain.
Brianna (Giggles): Yeah, that last part wouldn't have happened.
Jodi: Yeah, I figured as much. Oh well, at least we have a chance to talk now.
Brianna: What about?
Jodi: I just want to make you aware of the fact that I'm not the one that's been running the game out here. Not by a long shot. I've been merely surviving these last few votes while those other three, mostly Mikol and Nick it seems like, have been calling the shots!
As Jodi says this, the camera transitions to the main camp area where we can see Mikol and Christine talking in the shelter, while Nick tends to the fire. The camera then quickly returns to the conversation between Jodi and Brianna.
Jodi: Here's the thing, before Raina was blindsided, Mikol is the one that told me that if I had any chance of making it through the vote, I needed to vote for her. Then before the last vote, both of those boys led me to believe that Michelle was being blindsided 4-2, but then those two votes for you came from out of nowhere. They've been running the show as of late, whereas I've been relying mostly on luck to make it though.
Brianna (Nodding): Hmmm, that's interesting. Before the last vote, Nick and Mikol did also confirm with Michelle and I that Christine was supposed to go.
Jodi (Passionately): That's exactly what I'm saying! Nick's been going on and on about how I'm a supposed "liar", despite the fact that he and Mikol are playing the game the same way! They're the ones that have been running the show, and I think that it's plausible that the jury may respect them in the end!
Brianna (Perplexed): Do you really think they'd get the jury votes after they've betrayed so many people though? I just don't see it happening, especially not for Nick.
Jodi: I'm just saying that if the jury are thinking from a strategic standpoint, those two have been running the show, and may very well have the jury's respect. Then there's someone like Christine, who nobody's said a bad word about! On top of that, she's also been in the majority for most of these past few votes!
Brianna: Yeah, I could definitely see Christine possibly getting jury votes. She is the last remaining "old person" and everyone does seem to like her.
Jodi: Now, compare her to someone like me who, according to Nick, is a pathological liar, and has been merely surviving the votes based on sheer luck. Who's really the biggest threat?
Brianna: I can truthfully tell you that I've made it known to the boys that I don't want Christine sitting on day 39. So just know that I'm still going to do everything in my power to make it happen.
Jodi: Good to know. Hopefully she doesn't have that idol because I am terrified about the possibility of her making it to the finals.
Brianna: Trust me, I am too.
Immunity Challenge[]
Jeff Probst: Come on in, guys!
The final six castaways are now shown entering the challenge arena in the midst of a light rain. Once they are all standing on their brown mat, the camera turns back to Jeff.
Jeff Probst: You guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?
Una Tribu: YES!
Jeff Probst: Alright Jodi, once again, I need to take back the immunity necklace from you.
Jodi (Groans): Do you have to?
Jeff giggles at this, along with Mikol, Christine, and Brianna. Nick simply rolls his eys.
Jeff Probst: Sorry Jodi. If you want this again, you just have to win it back.
Jodi (Sassily): Fine then. I will!
Jodi then takes off the necklace and hands it to Probst. Jodi then re-joins her tribe as Jeff hangs the necklace back on its perch.
Jeff Probst: Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.
Jeff then goes on to explain the immunity challenge dubbed Spoon Man and that the winner will have a 1 in 4 shot at winning the game and the million dollar cheque that goes along with it, while the losers may become the next person voted out of the game and the eighth member of the jury.
Jeff Probst: We'll draw for positions, then we'll get started.
After a time-skip, the camera shows the castaways ready to begin the challenge.
Jeff Probst: For immunity and a guaranteed 1 in 4 shot at a million dollars. Survivors ready... GO!

- All five castaways struggle with the challenge at the start, with only Jodi and Mikol being able to get the ball over the first obstacle within the first couple of minutes.
- After what felt like an eternity, Mikol became the first castaway to transfer his first ball through all of the obstacles and drop it in the chute.
- Mikol successfully transferring his first ball causes Jodi to start panicking a little bit, and she does poorly on her next couple of tries as a result.
- Having successfully transferred one ball, Mikol starts to feel visibly more comfortable the challenge. Although he drops his second ball just before it reaches the chute.
- Christine is the second castaway to successfully transfer a ball.
- Jodi completes her first successful attempt seconds after Christine.
- After another few minutes, Mikol successfully transfers his second ball across the obstacles, with Brianna transferring her first a short time later.
- Another couple of minutes go by, and we see Jodi successfully transferring her second ball.
- However, after another four minutes pass, Mikol successfully lands his third ball in the chute, winning immunity.
Jeff Probst: MIKOL, WINS IMMUNITY!!
Mikol freezes for a couple of moments, unable to believe what he managed to accomplish. Nick then comes over and shakes Mikol's hand, congratulating him on his win. This is followed by Christine congratulating Mikol and giving him a hug. We then see Nick smirking as he looks over at Jodi, who has her hands on her hips and is shaking her head in disappointment. Jodi then mutters the words "Damn it!" under her breath before the camera turns to show Jeff standing in front of the remaining castaways.
Jeff Probst: Mikol, come on over.
Mikol smiles and makes his way over to Jeff as his tribe-mates clap for him. Jeff then puts the necklace around Mikol's neck and a hand on his shoulder.
Jeff Probst: Mikol is safe from the vote tonight, which means that he is guaranteed a 1 in 4 shot of winning this game, the title of Sole Survivor, and the million dollar cheque that goes along with it. For the rest of you however, it's a different story. Tribal Council tonight where after 37 days, one of you will be voted out of this game and join the jury. You guys have the rest of the afternoon to figure out who that's going to be. Grab your stuff and head back to camp. I'll see you all at Tribal. (Pats Mikol on the back) Congrats.
Mikol: Thank you.
As the castaways grab their bags and begin to make their way back to camp, we see quick close ups of Brianna, Christine, Nick (who can't stop smiling), and finally Jodi before the camera cuts to her confessional.
Una Tribu[]
We now see the final five castaways returning to camp from the immunity challenge. We see that Jodi can't help but look a bit depressed, while in contrast, Nick is grinning from ear to ear. As soon as he sets his bag down in the shelter, Nick gives Mikol a big bro-hug as he again congratulates him on his victory. Mikol then thanks Nick and hangs the immunity necklace someplace on the shelter. The focus then hones in on Nick before transitioning to his confessional.
As the camera transitions out of Nick's confessional, we can see that he is still grinning from ear to ear as he casually talks with Mikol and Christine by the shelter. Jodi sees this and simply rolls her eyes, obviously disgusted with the obnoxious way Nick is carrying himself. Jodi then taps Brianna on the shoulder and asks quietly if she wants to come down to the beach with her, to which Brianna agrees. As the two ladies walk towards the beach, the camera focuses on Jodi.
After Jodi's confessional, we can see her and Brianna talking on the beach.
Jodi: I'm just curious, Brianna. Have you put any more thought into the idea of blindsiding Christine tonight?
Brianna (Nodding): Yeah, I have, and to be honest, I really don't want to sit next to her at the end. But unfortunately...
Jodi (Concerned): Yeah?
Brianna: I'm not sure if I can get the numbers to pull it off. Like, just look at Nick!
The camera shows Nick and Mikol talking and laughing by the fire before returning to Brianna and Jodi.
Brianna: There's absolutely no chance that anyone would be able to convince him to write a name down other than yours!
Jodi (Sighs): What about Mikol?
Brianna (Shrugs): I'll try for sure. But I don't know. (Sighs) He just seems a little too "buddy-buddy" with Nick at the moment, so I have serious doubts that he'd be willing to vote Christine and piss him off like that. Especially since he's likely pissed off a number of people on the jury as it is.
Jodi: Yeah, that's fair enough. Just tell Mikol everything I told you before the challenge, and maybe he'll consider changing his vote. You know, the fact that I've been surviving these past few votes based on sheer luck, plus the fact that I've been called a quote "pathological liar" on more than one occasion. As I said, I doubt that the jury would respect that compared to other people.
Brianna: I'll talk to him for sure, but I can't make any promises about voting to keep you here. I'm sorry, Jodi. That's just how it is right now.
Jodi: Well, I can say that I appreciate the fact that you're being honest with me right now. I know it might be a long shot to convince Mikol, but it doesn't hurt to try, I guess.
Brianna: Yeah, that's true.
Following the conversation between Brianna and Jodi, we can see the latter walking alongside the ocean, while Brianna makes her way back towards the main camp area where Christine, Mikol, and Nick are chatting by the fire. Soon, Brianna sits down next to them. Seeing that Jodi is nowhere around, Nick decides to speak up.
Nick: Well, I think that for once, we got an easy vote on our hands. No more idols, no more lies, no more excuses, she's done!
Mikol (Nodding slowly): Yeah, well... I guess it is the only logical move.
Christine (Feeling slightly guilty): I know we still got a few hours before Tribal, but if the vote's this easy, then maybe we should just stop talking about it after this. I mean, Jodi's probably feeling pretty down as it is, so we shouldn't rub it in her face that she's going.
Brianna: Yeah, I completely agree with that. Like, if she's such a "dead woman walking", then what more is there to discuss?
Nick (Sternly): Let's just hope that (uses finger quotes) "Dead Woman Walking" is not a reference to Undertaker. We don't need her coming back here again.
Although both Brianna and Christine appear slightly confused about Nick's reference to the legendary WWE wrestler "The Undertaker" (who is also known as the "Dead Man"), Mikol understood the reference and responds to Nick.
Mikol (Apprehensive): Well, from what I heard, 'Taker is officially retired after he lost at WrestleMania 33, so the reference would still work. Either way, as Brianna said, there's not much else to say about this.
Nick (Shakes head): I dunno, I heard rumours that 'Taker wanted to fight again at the next 'Mania. Let's just hope Jodi doesn't come back for one more round.
Christine (Interjecting): Look, I'm not familiar with wrestling, so I have no clue who you boys are talking about. Either way, there's not much else to say about this, especially if we're all agreeing to write Jodi's name down tonight!
Nick (Putting his hands up): Okay then, it's done.
Nick now stands up and excuses himself to go to the bathroom. As soon as he leaves, Mikol can't help but roll his eyes out of disgust.
Mikol (Annoyed): He's such an ass, isn't he?
Christine: Oh, I know! He's been going on and on non-stop about getting Jodi out since freaking Frank was blindsided!
Mikol (Nodding): Yeah, for sure. Hopefully once she's gone, Nick shuts right up.
From Mikol's confessional, the scene transitions to show a hawk flying overhead before switching to a conversation in a secluded area of the camp. We can then see that Jodi has decided not to rest on her laurels and put her faith in Brianna, so she is now having a conversation with Christine regarding the vote.
Jodi: So, Nick's made it pretty clear that I'm the target tonight, hasn't he?
Christine (Apologetic): Unfortunately, he has. But I guess that's just how the game goes sometimes.
Jodi: Well, I know that Nick may be stubborn as hell, but I honestly think that getting rid of me tonight would be a bad move for you.
Christine (Intrigued): How so?
Jodi: I can honestly say that I think Brianna is actually the biggest threat in the game right now.
The camera then shows Brianna, who is relaxing in the hammock, before transitioning back to Jodi and Christine.
Christine (Perplexed): Brianna?
Jodi (Persistent): Yes, Brianna!
Christine: Why should I vote for Brianna?
Jodi: Here's the thing, all of these past few votes since Kayla was blindsided, I've been getting through them by sheer luck! I know full well that Nick's been targeting me for ages now and I truly believe that the only reason I'm still here is because things occurred that were beyond my control and beyond Nick's control.
Christine (Intrigued): Such as?
Jodi (Passionately): I'm not responsible for Laura being such a nice human being that she would beat Santa Claus and the freaking Easter Bunny in a final three. I didn't pump Kenley full of steroids to make him be a beast in every challenge, nor did I feed him "happy pills" every morning that allowed him to have such a top notch social game. Not only that, but I didn't pull an advantage out of my ass and give it to Raina so that people would get paranoid and vote her out instead of me! You could easily argue to a jury that I don't deserve to win the million because I got here based on luck. As for Brianna on the other hand, the only evidence that I need to bring to the table as to why she's such a huge threat to win is our last Tribal Council.
Christine: Why is that?
Jodi: By not playing her idol on Michelle, after Michelle clearly tried to convince her to do otherwise, she proved that she has a mind of her own and that she got herself towards the end of this game. Furthermore, she is so well liked by members of that jury that certain people cough Michelle cough might give her their vote by freaking default if she makes it to the end.
Christine (Impressed): Wow, that certainly is a lot to consider. I guess this vote is not as cut and dry as I originally thought.
Jodi (Smirking): As the late Billy Mays would say though, "But wait, there's more!"
Christine (Raises an eyebrow): More?
Jodi: Yes! I think that if I go home tonight, the only way that you even get to the final three is if you win the final immunity challenge.
Christine: Hmmm... interesting.
Jodi: Think about it, Christine! You're the last remaining member of the original Soriano tribe, people see you as a mother figure out here, nobody has a bad word to say about you, and you've been in the majority for what seems like forever! With Brianna and Mikol being close friends as it is, and with Nick being Nick, I think that all Brianna has to do is mention Michelle, and they'll immediately see you as being a bigger threat, so they send you home. Now, if you take me to the final four, with Nick being Nick, I'm certain that since I more than likely won't be winning the final immunity, you'd essentially be guaranteed to go to the final three, where you'd almost certainly beat both Nick and Mikol.
Christine, stunned, just looks towards Jodi with her mouth hanging open a little bit as the District Attorney continues to smirk.
Christine (Speechless): Wow... I-I never really thought about it like that.
Jodi: I kinda figured. I mean, with Nick going on like a freaking broken record, little facts like that could get drowned out.
Jodi and Christine both share a short giggle.
Christine: Yeah, that is very true, I guess. (Sighs) My big problem of course is how the heck I'm going to convince Mikol this is a good idea! I mean, you and I both know that there's no way Nick's not writing your name down.
Jodi: I know it'll be a long shot, but just try your best to convince him that she's a bigger threat and that she'll have votes by default, while I got here by mostly luck. I know it won't be easy, but I think it's gotta be done.
Christine (Sighs): Yeah, fair enough.
We now see one more quick shot of Jodi and Christine chatting as they begin to make their way towards camp before the scene transitions to a bit later in the afternoon as Christine and Mikol are sitting on the beach and chatting as they look out into the ocean. After hesitating for a few moments, Christine finally takes a deep breath and she decides to talk to Mikol about what's on her mind.
Christine: So, umm... have you thought much about the vote since we all kinda got ticked off at Nick earlier?
Mikol (Shrugs): No, not really. I mean, it sucks that Jodi needs to go tonight, but that's just the way it is.
Christine: Well, I've been thinking that maybe, just maybe, getting rid of Jodi isn't the best idea tonight after all.
Mikol (Raises an eyebrow): What do you mean?
Christine: Think about it, Brianna's been in the majority for what feels like forever, and Jodi's gotten through all of these past few votes based on there being bigger fish to fry, so to speak. She's been mostly just surviving as opposed to actively keeping herself in the game. As for Brianna, I think the last Tribal proved that she does indeed have a mind of her own and that she didn't simply blindly follow Michelle. Plus, Brianna's extremely likable, so she's probably guaranteed a few votes off the bat if she makes it to the end.
Mikol (Not buying it): That may be true about Brianna, but whether Jodi got this far by luck or not, she is still here with all of her best friends on the jury! You can't argue to me that they wouldn't vote for Jodi before any of us.
Christine: The other thing that I've noticed is that, for some reason, Nick seems to think that Brianna's merely some coat-tail rider and that she's not a threat in the end. Every time I've tried talking to him about possibly getting rid of her before the final three, he keeps shooting it down. I think that if Brianna were to go tonight, assuming Jodi loses final immunity, both of us would be guaranteed seats at the Final Tribal Council.
Mikol (Nodding slowly): That is compelling, I must admit. But the problem I have with that is the fact that Jodi's won two immunities already! How can we guarantee that she won't win a third and take the million from us?
Christine: Yeah, I've thought about that as well, which is why I'm not entirely sure if we should go through with keeping Jodi around. As you said though, just the mere thought of being guaranteed a 75% chance of making it to the Final Tribal Council as opposed to our chances being completely up in the air is what's making me actually consider not writing Jodi's name down tonight.
Mikol (Slightly confused): 75%... (pauses for a brief moment) Oh yeah! Final four, three people not named Jodi... never mind, please continue. (Giggles)
Christine (Shrugs): That's pretty much all I got, to be honest. I mean, I know Jodi's fairly good in challenges, but you and Nick are both unarguably stronger than she is.
Mikol: True, but Jodi's also wicked smart, and she's won two individual immunities out here. That's more than Nick and I combined.
Christine: I know you're not exactly fond about this at the moment, but I'm sure you can see the dilemma here. I do think that there is an argument that can be made to keep Jodi around tonight.
Mikol (Shrugs): I dunno, Christine. I'll think about it, I just have a feeling we'd be asking for trouble.
Christine (Nodding): I know, and to be honest, I'm actually not entirely sold on the idea myself. I just thought it was compelling and I just wanted to talk it out with someone.
Mikol: Well... I guess if I'm good for anything out here, lending an ear is one of them. (Chuckles)
Christine (Smiles): And that's something you should be very proud of.
After Christine's confessional, we see the sun beginning to set as the final five pack their bags and get ready to head towards Tribal Council as the sun begins to set. Mikol is then shown taking the immunity necklace and placing it around his neck. Brianna then puts her bag around her shoulder. Brianna then goes up to Mikol and whispers to him asking if he's "ready to do this," to which Mikol responds with a nod. Brianna then replies with "Cool" as the camera cuts to her confessional.
We now see a quick shot of Brianna as she picks up her torch from the tree it was leaning on, followed by a shot of Jodi doing the same thing. The remaining castaways are then shown heading towards Tribal Council in a single-file line with Christine leading the way.
Tribal Council (Day 37)[]
The final five are now shown entering the Tribal Council area in a single-file line carrying their torches as Jeff is standing in the hut waiting for them. The castaways then place their torches in the holders behind them and take a seat on one of the stools. Jeff then sits down himself.
Jeff Probst: We will now bring in the members of our jury. Gerald... Frank... Kayla... Laura... Kenley... Raina... and Michelle, voted out at the last Tribal Council.
Michelle is shown entering the hut wearing a black t-shirt that she purchased at a Daughtry concert, along with a pair of jean-shorts that go down to mid-thigh. As Michelle sits down on the jury bench, she has an extremely serious look on her face as she prepares to listen in on Tribal Council.
Jeff Probst: Alright, lets go back to the last Tribal Council. Brianna, you ended up playing an idol on yourself, which resulted in Michelle ultimately going home. (Michelle on the jury nods as Jeff continues his question) So, going into this vote without the apparent safety of immunity, how are you feeling about your chances?
Brianna: Yeah, coming back from the last vote without Michelle was an odd experience for me, to say the least, and I'm not going to sit here and lie to you by saying that I feel confident going into this vote. But at the same time, promises have been made and I have people assuring me that I'm not going anywhere. So... I guess that I have to hope that they're telling the truth.
Nick smirks and nods his head slowly while Jodi rolls her eyes a little bit.
Jeff Probst: So Jodi, if Brianna is indeed safe tonight, does that mean that you're right back on the chopping block?
Jodi: Absolutely it does! To be honest, I think that the big problem around here is that I'm such an obvious target that certain people just aren't seeing the big picture.
Nick (Annoyed): Oh please! Enough with that BS, Jodi! There is no (uses finger quotes) "Big picture" that people are not seeing. All people have to do in order to realize that you are the biggest threat is look over at the damn jury and see all of your best friends sitting there!
Jodi (Firing back): That may be true, but you've been going on, and on, and on, and on for ages now about how I'm some sort of (uses finger quotes) "pathological liar." Furthermore, I haven't controlled any of these votes for the past few weeks. Yeah, I'm totally the biggest threat sitting here. (Rolls eyes)
Raina on the jury is shown giggling a little bit before the camera turns back over to Jeff.
Jeff Probst: So Mikol, here you have Nick saying that there's no way Jodi can loose if she gets to the end because her allies are now on the jury. But then you have Jodi arguing that not only has she played dirty, she also hasn't even been in control, which makes her a non-threat. How do you look at these two arguments and determine which one to act on tonight?
Mikol: I do admit that both of them do make valid points to a degree. But at the same time, even though Jodi may have played dirty in a sense, she is a District Attorney for crying out loud! (Nick nods his head vigorously) It's her job to stand in front of a jury and convince them that she's right, and that the defence is wrong, and that is a skill that she would certainly use to her advantage if she does make it to the finals.
Jodi (Fired up): Keep in mind though that I'm far from the only person here with friends on the jury! Brianna is a wonderful person and she has likely been besties with Michelle since day one! Then you have Christine, who is not only a lovely person that nobody could ever say a bad word against (Christine blushes a little), but she has also been the last remaining member of the original older tribe since the final freaking ten!!
Jeff Probst: Christine, Jodi just brought up you being the last member of the original older tribe since the final ten. While you can argue over who has whose jury vote, you can't argue facts.
Christine: For sure.
Jeff Probst: So how do you respond to an argument like that from Jodi about you possibly being a bigger threat for the money than her?
Christine: Well, as you said Jeff, you can't argue facts, and it's a fact that Jodi has been loyal to a bunch of people on that jury. Besides, no matter what these people say, I'm actually not worried about going home tonight.
Jeff Probst (Caught off guard): You're not?
Christine: Well... (pulls the Hidden Immunity Idol out of her bag) I do still have this thing, and it's my understanding that tonight's the last night it can be played, so that's precisely what I plan on doing.
Nick can't help but laugh as Christine puts the Hidden Immunity Idol around her neck. The camera then shows the jury bench where both Kayla and Gerald can't help but smile. We then see Jodi, who is simply rolling her eyes.
Jeff Probst (Taken aback): Wow!
Jodi: And that ladies and gentlemen is why she's such a big threat to win!
Jeff Probst: So Jodi, I gotta ask, what's going through your mind now that Christine revealed she has an idol?
Jodi (Shrugs): I can't lie Jeff, I've been suspecting that Christine has an idol for a while now. But at the same time, I think it's a good time to again point out that Miss Brianna has been in the majority for the entire game, she is well liked by everyone, and she just played one of those idols to save herself at the last vote.
Jeff Probst: So Brianna, the ball is now back in your court. How do you respond to Jodi's argument for getting rid of you?
Brianna: I think everyone here tonight, especially Nick, has done a good job of illustrating why Jodi's a massive threat to win. So I don't think there's anything more to say than "look at the obvious." I guess I can see why people may label me as a quote unquote "threat." But I don't think I'm nearly as threatening as Jodi.
Jeff Probst: And with that, it is time to get to the vote. Mikol, you have individual immunity tonight. As always, you can choose to keep it or give it up.
Mikol: I'll be keeping it tonight, Jeff.
Jeff Probst: Alright, Mikol has immunity, so you can't vote for Mikol. Everyone else is fair game. It is time to vote. Brianna, you're up.
As Jeff says her name, Brianna stands up and makes her way to the voting podium to cast her vote. Once she takes the cap off the pen, the camera fades out. Nick is the second castaway to cast a vote. We can see him writing "JODI" on the parchment in big, bold letters. His voting confessional is then aired for the public.
"I can't lie Jodi, you are indeed a great talker. But there is no reason for you to escape Jeff's snuffer tonight. If you do happen to return to camp, I am officially done with humanity." | |
NICK |
---|
We then see Nick place his vote in the urn as the camera fades out. Mikol is the next person to vote, followed by Jodi. Christine is the last person to approach the voting podium and cast her vote. We simply see Christine putting her vote in the urn and replacing the lid before returing to her seat. Once Christine sits down, the camera returns to Jeff.
Jeff Probst: I'll go tally the votes.
Jeff leaves to fetch the urn. When he returns, he addresses the castaways.
Jeff Probst: If anybody has a Hidden Immunity Idol and would like to play it, now would be the time to do so.
As Jeff says this, everyone looks towards Christine since she revealed earlier in the night that she has the idol. Taking this as her cue, Christine smiles and rises to her feet.
Christine: Jeffrey, I guess it's now or never.
Christine then walks over to Jeff and hands him the idol.
Christine: I think I'll play this for... (takes a deep breath) myself.
As Christine returns to her seat, we see Nick smile and begin to nod as Jodi looks up at the sky and shakes her head.
Jeff Probst: This is a Hidden Immunity Idol. Any votes cast against Christine will not count. Once the votes are read, the decision is final, person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes.
Jeff opens the urn, and takes out the first vote.
Jeff Probst: First vote...
JODI
Jodi simply nods, fully expecting to receive votes.
BRIANNA 1 vote Jodi, 1 vote Brianna.
Brianna doesn't move, she simply stares at Jeff nervously as he continues to read the votes.
JODI We're at 2 votes Jodi, 1 vote Brianna.
Jodi nods once again and takes a deep breath. We then see a smirk come to Nick's face.
14th person voted out of Survivor: Uruguay, and the 8th member of our jury...
JODI
That's 3, and that is enough. You need to bring me your torch.
Jodi: Well... damn! (Chuckles)
Jodi then picks up her bag and stands up as she puts it around her shoulder. She then asks for hugs from all of her former tribe mates, which she receives. Even Nick stands up and gives her a hug out of respect. As Jodi picks up her torch and walks over to Jeff, we can see that Raina and Kenley on the jury are both visibly disappointed with how the vote turned out. Jodi then places her torch in its holder and looks up at Jeff.
Jodi (Jokingly): Ya' know... you don't have to snuff it.
Jeff Probst (Smirks): Jodi, the tribe has spoken.
Jodi begins to laugh as Jeff places the snuffer on top of her torch, putting out its flame. As he removes the snuffer, we can see a puff of smoke rising from Jodi's torch.
Jeff Probst: It's time for you to go.
Jodi turns around and faces her former tribe. She then places both hands over her mouth and blows the final four a kiss.
Jodi (Smiling): Great game, guys. Good luck to all of you.
Jodi then turns around, exits the Tribal Council area, and walks off into the night.
Jeff Probst: Christine, Nick, Brianna, Mikol, congratulations. You guys now make up the final four! Tomorrow, you guys will compete in your final immunity challenge and we will find out which of the 3 of you will face the jury and plead your case as to why you deserve the million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor, and who will become the final member of the jury. Grab your torches, head back to camp. Good night.
The music then picks up as the final four grab their bags and their torches then make their way back towards the Una Tribu camp.

Voting Confessionals[]
Night 37[]
Una Tribu[]
The camera now shows the final four on returning from Tribal Council on night 37 having just voted out Jodi. As they lean their torches against the usual tree, Christine decides to break the silence.
Christine: As much as I hated seeing Jodi go, it had to be done.
Mikol (Nodding): Yeah, I agree, she was just way too much of a threat, that's all there is to it.
Nick: Love her or hate her, and I certainly was the latter these past few days, I think you gotta respect how hard she fought.
The other three all nod in agreement with Nick's statement as the camera pans over and focuses on Christine.
As the camera fades out of Christine's confessional we see Mikol putting another log on the fire before sitting down around it with his three tribe mates as they all reflect on how far they've come in the game.
Christine: Can you guys believe that tomorrow is day 38? We just have one more challenge and one more Tribal to go before the finals!
Brianna: I really can't believe it to be honest with you! This whole thing seems to have gone by so quickly, and I'm finding it hard to believe that I'm still here! (Giggles)
Christine: What can I say, Brianna? You deserve it! You got yourself to this point and you should be very proud of the game you played.
Brianna (Blushing a little bit): Well, thanks, I guess. Although I do believe that applies to all four of us here at this point.
Mikol: Yeah, I guess we all had to have done something right to have gotten this far.
Nick: I guess so. At least now with Jodi being gone, it's anybody's game to win.
Mikol: Well, tomorrow may be the last challenge and the last time we get to cast votes, but I'm expecting it to be the toughest day of this whole experience.
Christine: Yeah, I can agree with that. Honestly, I just want to get tomorrow over with already! (Chuckles)
Brianna (Giggles): Don't we all?
We then see one last shot of the final four by the fire before the camera fades into a commercial break.
Day 38[]
The scene now re-opens on day 38 as Christine and Nick can be seen walking in the woods to retrieve the tribe's tree-mail.
Christine: Since I have no faith in my ability to win that final challenge, I'd like to make my pitch to you now, if that's okay.
Nick: Sure.
Christine: At Tribal last night, Jodi seemed to make the assumption that I was a massive threat to win because people seem to like me and I'm the last old person. That all seems to be fine and dandy, but what have I really done in terms of making moves in this game compared to Brianna and Mikol?
Nick: Well, right off the bat, even though you didn't vote for Frank, you calling him out on his bullshit is what sealed his fate at the final 11. Based on your tone of voice, I can tell that you didn't mind one bit that he went home.
Christine: Okay, fair enough, but when I played my idol, I negated zero votes. When Brianna played hers, not only did she negate two, but if she listened to Michelle and saved her, Brianna would have most likely been gone. As for Mikol, look at how much he's grown over the course of this game! Sure, Mikol may have pissed some people off, but I for one, respect how hard he's fought out here and how much he's had to overcome.
Nick: I'm going to be straight up with you here and say that at the next vote, I'll be voting for either you or Brianna. Every time Mikol's made a move out here, he needed to do it alongside someone else, which was me 99% of the time. So while I do think that there's a slight chance Brianna could nab a few votes, I don't think Mikol's a threat whatsoever.
Christine nods slowly as she processes what Nick has said before responding with a careful choice of words.
Christine: Okay then, that's fair enough, I guess. Looks like I'll be voting for Brianna at our next Tribal Council as long as she loses immunity. (Giggles)
Nick (Bluntly): Yeah, voting for me at the next vote would be a stupid decision on your part.
Christine: How so?
Nick: Look at all the people that I've pissed off in the game! I may have played strategically, but I'm not sure I got a great shot to win. At this point, I'd like to get to the end to say I did it.
Christine (Nodding): Yeah, I'll definitely keep that in mind.
File:Chrstine Teal.png | "Based on the short conversation I had with Nick as we went towards tree-mail, the way he was talking and the way that he was trying to convince me to keep him around actually made it seem like he legitimately thinks he has a great shot to win and that people want him gone! (Sarcastic tone) Yes honey, whatever you say. (Cackles) Nick's literally the only person I'm not considering voting for because of his cold demeanor and because he's pissed off so many people! That said, I find it kind of baffling that he not only completely dismissed Mikol as a potential threat, but that he openly said that he was thinking of voting for me. So... (sighs) it really seems to me like I'm going to need to fight my ass off in this final challenge if I want to stay alive, unfortunately." |
CHRISTINE |
---|
Following Christine's confessional, we see her and Nick returning to camp with the note they found in tree-mail.
Christine (Announcing): Come on in, children! We've got tree-mail!
Upon hearing Christine's announcement, Mikol and Brianna giggle for a bit as they get off of the hammock and approach the two older castaways. Once the four of them are all gathered together, Nick unrolls the note they received in tree-mail and begins to read it out loud.
Nick: Congratulations, final four! You have accomplished what 14 others could not, surviving 38 days in the small, nation of Uruguay. Despite Uruguay's small size, it is a country that is diverse in nature as a result of its multicultural origins and its alternating conquerors, Spain and Portugal, as well as many immigrants from many diverse nations, who have all integrated with the indigenous peoples of this land. This is a game in which 18 Americans diverse in age, personality, and background, have come to this land much like the immigrants from many different nations have all those years earlier. It is now time for you to celebrate the competition, and more importantly, the memories provided to you by the 14 castaways that were unable to make it this far into the game. The four of you will soon pass by the torches of each fallen castaway. At each one, stop to reflect on who they were as people and as competitors, and how their contributions to this game have allowed you to make it as far as you have. Then collect the torch and continue on your path. Once you have reached the end of your path, burn the torches to the ground as a way to honour the memory of these competitors. Once this is completed, you will proceed to your final immunity challenge.
Christine: Well, what more needs to be said? (Giggles) I for one am excited for this.
The other three castaways nod in agreement with Christine as the camera focuses on Mikol.
The camera then shows the final four grabbing their bags and making their way towards the Rites of Passage.
Rites of Passage[]
The camera now shows the final four carrying the torches of their fallen castaways towards a large, wooden structure resembling the Sun of May. In front of the structure is a large cauldron with a fire burning inside it and four small torches beside it. The remaining castaways then place the torches of their competitors all over the wooden structure. Once all 14 torches are placed somewhere within the Sun of May, the final four then each take one of the torches that was beside the cauldron and dip them into the fire. They are then shown lighting the Sun of May on fire in various places until they are satisfied that it will burn to the ground. Once that is done, we hear Brianna say "Now it looks like the actual sun up close!" which causes Christine and Mikol to giggle a little bit. We now see a montage of the nameplates from the torches as they burn, as well as clips of various moments from the season. After the montage has aired for a few moments, the camera fades into a commercial break.
Final Immunity Challenge[]
Jeff Probst: Come on in, guys!
The final four are now shown entering the challenge arena. Once they are all standing on the brown mat, the camera returns to Jeff Probst.
Jeff Probst: Alright, first thing's first, Mikol. I need to take back the necklace.
Mikol nods as he walks over to Jeff Probst and allows the host to remove the immunity necklace from his neck. Mikol then rejoins his tribe as Jeff places the necklace back on its perch.
Jeff Probst: For the last time, immunity is back up for grabs.
Jeff then goes on to explain the final immunity challenge dubbed Self-Destruction and that the winner is guaranteed a seat at the final tribal council, which means that they will have the chance to convince the jury as to why they deserve the million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor, while for the losers, one of them will be joining that jury one day short of the end.
Jeff Probst: Huge stakes tonight! We'll draw for spots, then we'll get started.
After a time-skip, the final four are now shown in position ready to begin the challenge.
Jeff Probst: Here we go! For immunity and a guaranteed spot at the Final Tribal Council. Survivors ready... this challenge is now on.
All four castaways, especially Christine, have a difficult time finding their balance at the beginning, but they all manage to do so. Christine ends up squatting down and wrapping her arms against her knees so that she doesn't have to keep bending over to reach the rope. After a couple of moments, as the final four all seem to get comfortable, the camera fades out.
Time Lapse: 15 Minutes
Jeff Probst: Alright, 15 minutes have now gone by! It is now time to pull your first rope and release one section of your perch, which will make it slightly more difficult to balance. Everyone grab onto a rope. (We see the final four all following Jeff's instruction)

Release.
The four castaways all pull on their ropes, releasing their first section of their perch. The sudden change shocks Brianna and Nick a little bit as they shimmy over a little bit in order to prevent themselves from falling into the water. Christine starts to get visibly more nervous as she takes a few deep breaths in order to try and calm herself down. Eventually, all four castaways manage to get semi-comfortable on their perch, and the camera fades out.
Time Lapse: 30 Minutes
Jeff Probst: We are now half an hour into this challenge! It is now time to pull your second rope to release your second tile. Everyone grab onto a rope. (We see the final four all grabbing onto their ropes once again as Jeff has instructed)

Release.
The four castaways all pull on their ropes, releasing their second section of their perch. We hear the censor bleep as Brianna swears for probably the first time in the game due to the sudden change. All four castaways now struggle to maintain their balance for a few minutes. Due to the smaller perch, it takes quite a bit longer for the final four to manage to get comfortable. Brianna's heart is racing, as is Mikol's. Christine is back to her routine of taking deep breaths in order to calm herself down, while Nick's eyes are closed and he appears to be standing like a statue now on top of his perch. After another few moments, the camera now fades out once again.
Time Lapse: 45 Minutes
Jeff Probst: We are now 45 minutes into this challenge! It is now time to pull your third rope and release the second-to-last section of your perch. Everyone grab onto a rope. (We see the final four all grabbing onto their ropes once again as Jeff has instructed)

Release.
The four castaways all pull on their ropes, releasing their second section of their perch. Once again, the sudden change momentarily freaks out all four castaways as they struggle to regain their composure on top of their perch. Just as it appears as though all four competitors are going to get comfortable once again, one person is just unable to maintain their balance and falls into the water, eliminating them from the challenge.
Jeff Probst: BRIANNA has now fallen into the water, she is out of the challenge. No shot at immunity.
Brianna now shakes her head, kicking herself for falling into the water and leaving her game in the hands of the three people still on their perches. Christine's heart begins to race a little bit as she fears that she will be the next one off her perch. However, like Mikol and Nick, she also finds her happy place as the camera fades out once again.
Time Lapse: 1 Hour
Jeff Probst: This is it! We are now one full hour into this challenge! After your release this last rope, your perch will be less than half the size of a postcard!
This news makes the castaways quite a bit more nervous, with Christine noticeably gulping.
Jeff Probst: Once again, I will count you in. Everyone grab onto your last rope. (The three remaining castaways do so)

Release.
The three castaways all pull on their ropes, releasing the final section of their perch. This final stage now again stuns the three remaining castaways as they struggle to regain their balance on a perch that is less than half the size of a postcard. For one particular castaway, just as it seems as though they have found their balance, they suddenly take a tumble off of the perch, eliminating them from the challenge.
Jeff Probst: MIKOL has now fallen into the water, he's now out of the challenge and has no shot at immunity! We are now down to two people left fighting: Christine, and Nick!
Mikol can be seen shaking his head in disappointment as he swims out of the water in order to join Jeff and Brianna in watching Christine and Nick fight it out for final immunity. Christine can be seen breathing heavily as she struggles to maintain her balance, telling herself "You can do this." over and over. The camera then pans over to show Nick, who is also clearly struggling to remain in the challenge, although he doesn't seem to be panicking as much as Christine is. Both castaways are fighting as hard as they can to remain in the challenge and guarantee themselves a spot at the Final Tribal Council. After another few minutes however, the challenge ends when a third castaways falls off of their perch and lands in the water.
Jeff Probst: CHRISTINE has fallen off her perch, so NICK wins final immunity!!
Nick (Elated): YES!!
Nick then dives into the water and swims over towards Jeff, along with Christine. Once the two of them get out of the water, Christine gives Nick a hug and congratulates him on his immunity win. After a short time-skip, we see Jeff facing the final four.
Jeff Probst: Nick, come on over.
Nick grins from ear to ear as he quickly makes his way over to Jeff while the other three clap for him. Jeff then places the necklace on Nick and puts a hand on his shoulder.
Jeff Probst: Nick, you are safe from the vote tonight. You are now guaranteed a spot in the final three. Tomorrow, you will plead your case to the jury as to why you deserve the title of Sole Survivor and the million dollar check that goes along with it. (Turns to the other three) As for the rest of you: Mikol, Christine, Brianna. Only two of you can join Nick in facing the jury tomorrow at the Final Tribal Council. For the other one, after 38 long, hard days, this will be the end of the road. That person will become the ninth and final member of our jury. You guys have the afternoon to figure out who that person is going to be. One thing's for sure though, it will not be Nick! Grab your stuff, head back to camp. I'll see you guys at tribal. (Pats Nick on the back) Congrats.
Nick (Smiling): Thanks!
As the final four castaways grab their bags and begin to head towards camp, the camera shows close ups of Christine, Mikol, Brianna, and finally Nick as the camera cuts to the latter's confessional.
“ | Winning the final immunity challenge for me was just the best feeling ever! I have fought my ass off day in and day out to get to this point, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders in a sense. No matter what these people say, I am going to the Final Tribal Council where I will prove to the jury exactly why I am the only person here that is deserving of the million dollar cheque. As for tonight, obviously I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that my job is as easy as possible. But for now, I feel like I can finally breathe, and have a good night sleep for the first time in 38 long days! (Smiling) | ” |
–Nick |
We then see one last shot of Nick's smiling face as the camera fades out.
Una Tribu[]
The final four are now shown returning from the final immunity challenge. They then place their stuff in the shelter as Nick is again congratulated on winning final immunity.
Christine: Congrats again on your win, Nick! I couldn't believe how difficult that challenge was.
Nick (Smiling): Thanks Christine. I think did pretty great yourself, to be honest. I never expected it to be you and I in the final two of that challenge! (Chuckles)
Christine: Oh believe me, I surprised myself! I didn't think I had that kind of core strength. Then again, it could have been more adrenaline keeping me up there than anything.
Mikol: Fair enough, but both of you were quite impressive up there either way.
Nick: Absolutely!
Nick is then shown hanging his immunity necklace on the shelter before the camera pans over to show Christine who is taking a deep breath, clearly nervous about the upcoming vote.
“ | Considering the nature of that final immunity challenge, I did shock myself with how long I was able to last on that perch. Even still though, I'm not going to lie and say that I'm disappointed that I didn't win. I know there's a decent chance that I could be going home tonight, and the last thing I want to happen is to be voted out one day short of the Final Tribal Council. At this point, I don't care who I have to vote for in order to stay in the game. As long as I make it past this all important vote, I'll be happy. | ” |
–Christine |
Upon returning from Christine's confessional, we see her ask Mikol quietly if he'd like to go down to the beach with her, which he agrees to do. As the two of them leave, we see Nick staring at them for a bit before turning his attention to Brianna.
Nick (Bluntly): You know she's campaigning to get rid of you, right?
Brianna (Sarcastic): Really? Oh! I had no idea! If you hadn't told me that, I would have thought they'd be scheming about how to get rid of you despite you winning immunity!
Nick (Rolls eyes): Haha, funny Brianna. Listen, if you don't want me to take you to the end, just say the word and I'll join them in voting you out.
Brianna (Baffled): Excuse me? Would the traditional "Thank you, Captain Obvious" have been a better way for me to indicate to you that I'm not a total moron? Like, I'm sorry, but you look nothing like the guy in those Hotels.com commercials.
Nick crosses his arms and continues to glare at Brianna.
Brianna: Of course I want to go to the end! I didn't starve myself and sleep on bamboo for 38 days because I thought it would be fun!
Nick (Putting his hands up): Whatever then! (Sighs) Do you want me to tell you how I'm voting tonight so you can at least guarantee yourself a tie?
Brianna: Please do.
Nick: Christine. I mean, it may be pretty obvious, but you can't ignore how long she's been in the majority, nor the fact that she's been the last remaining old person for a long time.
Brianna (Nodding): Sounds good to me. I have no problems voting Christine out tonight. We just need to make sure we have Mikol on board to make sure she gets sent to the jury. Then again... do you think that maybe we might be better off voting for Mikol?
Nick (Blunt): NO! Not only did Mikol betray Paysandu, but he's followed me like a little puppy since the merge. There's no way he's even slightly a threat to us!
Brianna (A little taken aback): Okay then... Christine it is.
“ | With Nick winning immunity, there's no question that he has a large degree of power when it comes to this vote because as long as he votes the same way as someone else, there will either be a tie, or he gets his way altogether. Although the fact he seems to want Christine gone doesn't surprise me, I'm surprised that he seems to be writing Mikol off as any sort of threat altogether. Whatever though Christine could very well be a bigger threat to the money than Mikol, so I'm not going to argue with Nick. As long as I can get through this last vote, I'll be happy. | ” |
–Brianna |
Returning from Brianna's confessional, we see that there is a bit of an awkward silence between her and Nick as she sits on the edge of the shelter and he tends to the fire. Brianna then walks over to Nick and sits in front of the fire, prepared to ask Nick a question. Although Brianna hesitates for a bit, she eventually decides to ask anyway.
Brianna: So, ummm... I just want to be clear on this. If there does happen to be a tie, we don't go to rocks, do we? It's something else... right?
Nick (Caught off guard): Excuse me? What was that you asked?
Brianna (Awkwardly): I'm sorry, ummm... I just want to be sure I know exactly what happens if the vote tonight does tie. It's not rocks again, is it?
Nick (Baffled at the question): No, it's not rocks. If you and I both vote Christine, and Christine and Mikol both vote for you, it would be you against Christine in a fire-making challenge.
Brianna (Nodding): Oh, okay then. Thanks.
Nick: Just curious... do you think you could beat Christine at making fire?
Brianna (Shrugs): I'm not sure, to be honest with you. I've made fire a few times out here, so I know how to do it. I'm just not sure if I can beat her in any sort of challenge like that.
Nick: Well then, we should focus on making sure that Mikol isn't blinded by Christine's motherly nature and uses some actual common sense when he casts his vote tonight. Just to be safe though, you really should take the flint and practice making fire.
Brianna (Nodding): Okay, thanks for letting me know. I'll be sure to do that.
Nick: Good.
“ | My chat with Brianna after the immunity challenge confirmed to me that there's only one person that has any sort of chance at challenging me for the million dollars, and that is Christine. It's a widely known fact that if there's a tie at the final four, then there is a fire-making challenge to determine who goes to the finals, yet she had no idea that this fire-making challenge was a thing. Heck, they just had one of those challenges in Montserrat for crying out loud! So yeah, clearly Brianna knows absolutely nothing about this game and it confirms to me that she depended on Michelle out here like a newborn baby depends on its mother. Hopefully Mikol uses his brain at the vote tonight and I don't have to worry about any sort of tie-breaker giving Christine the opportunity to steal my money tomorrow. | ” |
–Nick |
Once Nick's confessional ends, we are taken to the conversation between Mikol and Christine as the two of them sit on the beach looking out into the ocean.
Christine: So, here’s the thing, I’m not going to go through the whole argument again as to why Brianna should go before me, because I think it’s been said quite a bit.
Mikol: Yeah, it has, I guess.
Christine: But there is one thing that I do want to mention that hasn’t really been brought up yet.
Mikol: What’s that?
Christine: Brianna would have a few people on the jury rooting for her and pushing for her to win because of some of the friends that she’s made, namely Michelle. Me on the other hand? I don’t really have that. In fact, I’m sure Frank’s over there in the jury house dragging my name through the mud as we speak!
Mikol (Skeptical): Why would he do that? I think you’ve played a pretty good game and you’ve been very respectful of others. I don’t see why people would be bitter about you making it this far.
Christine: That may very well be, but here’s the thing. The reason Yvonne is gone is because Frank flipped on her, Gerald, and myself. Then at the first Tribal Council after we merged, I was under the impression that our whole alliance was voting for Frank. Obviously, that didn’t happen, but in his mind, it just confirmed that I was against him in this game. Now, here I am at the final four, as the last remaining member of the older tribe, and he’s been on the jury for 15 days now!
Mikol (Piecing it all together): So basically, you’re saying that because Frank’s bitter of your success in this game compared to his, that he wants to at least make sure you don’t win?
Christine: Precisely!
“ | I didn’t see the point of going over every single reason about why Brianna needs to go because between myself and Jodi, Mikol’s heard it plenty of times. However, I needed to at least try and convince Mikol that while Brianna has advocates on the jury, I have Frank taking a big ol’ dump on my reputation every chance he gets. Do I really think Frankie would be bitter if I made it to the end? (Shrugs) It’s hard to say. Even still, Mikol is fully aware that Frank and I didn’t trust each other before he was blindsided, so I see it as something I can use to my advantage as I try and fight for a spot at that Final Tribal Council. | ” |
–Christine |
Upon returning from Christine’s confessional, there is a brief pause as her and Mikol stare out into the ocean, with the latter clearly having something on his mind that he’d like to tell Christine, although he’s hesitant to do so. Mikol then takes a deep breath as he decides to suck it up and tell Christine what he’s thinking.
Mikol (Hesitant): Ya’ know, Chrisitine… I’m sorry to tell you this… b-but… (sighs) I’m not sure if I’ll be able to save you tonight.
Christine (Confused): Why is that? If even just you vote alongside me, you can force a fire-making tie-breaker at the very least.
Mikol: I know, but… (sighs) Nick has made it abundantly clear to me that he is dead set on writing your name down at this vote. I’ve flipped quite a few times in this game, and I’m not sure the jury would respect me as it is. My fear is that if I flip again, I’d might not stand a chance at getting any votes.
Christine (Sympathetic): I understand your fear Mikol, I really do. To be honest with you, I think that you’ve played a great game out here. You’ve clearly fought your tail off to stay in the game, you’re a very intelligent young man, I’ve always found you to be pleasant to talk to, and you’ve grown tremendously out here. Obviously, I can’t speak for the people you turned your back on out here, but even if you save me tonight, you might stand a better chance than you realize.
Mikol: I mean… fair enough, I guess. But between the former Paysandus and Kayla, that’s a majority of the jury right there! I mean, surely they’d remember that my flip cost them their shot at the million!
Christine: Fair enough, but you never quite know what’s going through the jury’s minds. As I said, Frank is more than likely dragging my name through the mud as we speak, so if I make it through this vote, I could very well get a rude awakening of sorts at the Final Tribal Council.
Mikol (Sighs): I guess…
Christine: Look at it this way too, Nick has been walking around here acting so arrogant, and he’s told me to my face that he doesn’t see you as a threat to the million against him. The reason for that being that he sees you as having been riding his coattails since the merge.
Mikol (Speechless): W-w-why? I-I’m sorry, I mean no disrespect, Christine, but that’s utter bulls***! As you said, I’ve fought my ass off to stay in this game, and if anything, Nick has been riding my coattails!
Christine: Oh, I do agree with you, don’t kid yourself! You showed that to me when you suggested that we go against Nick’s plan of splitting the votes at the final nine. But, what I’m saying is that that’s going to be the argument that Nick tries to use against you when it comes to the jury. If you vote to keep me in the game, you can prove to everybody once and for all that you have a brain of your own and that you’re choosing to give me a chance to make it to the Final Tribal Council!
Mikol (Sighs): I guess… but as I’ve said, it would just be me flipping yet again, and I’m not sure the jury would respect that! (Pauses for a moment) I’m sorry, Christine. I promise that I will think about what you’re saying, because you do bring up some good points. It’s just that at this point in the game, I think that the time for lies is over and that I should be honest with you about what I’m thinking.
Christine: That’s totally understandable, Mikol. I appreciate that you’re being honest with me about this. I promise that whatever you decide to do tonight, I won’t hold it against you if I end up on the jury.
Mikol: Thank you very much, Christine.
“ | There really is a lot for me to consider when it comes to casting my vote for either Christine or Brianna tonight. Personally, I think that both of them are huge social threats who have held their own strategically out here. At the same time though, Christine is the last remaining older person out here, and Brianna has kind of hid behind Michelle most of the game. Then again, it’s possible that Frank could be running Christine’s reputation into the ground in the jury house, while Brianna obviously has a number of friends on the jury. Then of course, there’s the question of what the jury’s going to think of me if I make this move to save Christine. Do they already see me as nothing but a flipper and a backstabber, and would that feeling be magnified if I flip again tonight? Or would it show them that I have a mind of my own and that I’m not a henchman of Nick. (Sighs) It really is a tough decision, and I have no idea which move I should make! | ” |
–Mikol |
Following Mikol’s confessional, we see that he and Christine are still sitting on the beach looking out into the ocean. Just as it looks like Mikol is going to stand up and leave the area, Christine puts her hand on his leg, getting his attention.
Christine (Comforting): Hey, don’t beat yourself up about how you’ve played the game. Although I do encourage you to think about the jury, just know that you’ve played a great game out here, and that I won’t hold this decision against you if it doesn’t work in my favour.
Mikol (Smiling): Thanks so much, Christine. I really do appreciate that. Whatever happens tonight, I’m so glad that I was able to meet you out here.
Christine: Thanks sweetie.
Christine and Mikol then stand up and share a hug for a few moments. Once the two of them release the hug, they begin to head back to the main camp area as the camera cuts to Christine’s confessional.
“ | I don’t at all envy the kind of position that Mikol’s in tonight. When I said that I wouldn’t hold this decision against him if it didn’t go my way, I meant it. I feel like he’s a really kind-hearted kid who has struggled with his emotions a lot out here because he’s been trying to balance not ticking people off with playing the game. I also feel like Mikol’s really grown as a person tremendously, even from the time I’ve met him until now. As much as I hope that I get to the end, whether or not it happens, I will still have a lot of respect for Mikol as a person. | ” |
–Christine |
Once the camera fades out of Christine's confessional, we see her and Mikol returning to the main camp area from the beach. Just as Christine sits down in front of the fire, Brianna asks Mikol if he'd like to chat with her privately, which he agrees to do. After a quick transitional shot of a mother capybara nursing four pups, we see Brianna and Mikol talking in a secluded area of the camp.
Brianna: I'm just curious to know where your head is at in regards to this next vote. Nick has already told me that he's definitely voting for Christine.
Mikol (Nods): Yeah, Nick has told me the same thing as well. (Sighs loudly) Honestly though, I have no idea what I'm gonna do tonight, Brianna.
Brianna (Nervous): What exactly are you saying?
Mikol (Shrugs): I'm saying that I don't know who I'm going to vote for tonight. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand the argument for keeping you and the argument for keeping Christine. It's just a really difficult decision for me.
Brianna (Nodding): Yeah, that's fair enough, I guess. I just figured I'd remind you that Christine has been a much more prominent strategist than me and that she'd probably have more respect from the jury, especially considering the fact that I knew next to nothing about this game going into it.
Mikol: I get that, I really do, don't get me wrong. But there's also the whole argument in regards to your idol play, as well as Frank possibly being bitter that Christine made it so much further than he did. So, it isn't an easy decision for me at all.
Brianna: Yeah, I see what you're saying, I do. I still don't think that my résumé, as it were, holds much of a candle to hers, but I can see the dilemma.
Mikol: Thank you. I just feel like at this point, the time for lies and deceit is over and that I need to be honest with you about what I'm feeling. Especially because I think that you're one of the only people who I feel like have been honest with me this whole game.
Brianna: Well... thank you for being honest with me. I mean, as much as I can see the dilemma that you're facing right now, I not only think it would be smarter for you to take me to the end, but I'd also like to get to the end so that I have a chance to win myself, you know? (Giggles)
Mikol (Nodding): Oh for sure! Then again though, assuming that Nick is telling both of us the truth, at the very least you'll be making fire against Christine.
Brianna: Yeah, Nick mentioned to me that if there's a tie I'll have to build fire against Christine. I've been practicing just in case. (Giggles)
Mikol: Well, that's good to hear. As I've said though, it is a tough decision for me to make because I have so many things to take into account, not the least of which being what the jury thinks of me tomorrow.
Brianna: Oh for sure! I do wish you the best of luck in your decision.
“ | As much as I really do appreciate Mikol being honest with me about the fact that he's not sure who to vote for between myself and Christine, the mere thought of making fire against her absolutely terrifies me! Like, I know how to make fire, and I have been practicing. But I know that Christine knows how to make fire as well, so I'm not at all confident that I'll be able to beat her. Obviously I want to be prepared going into tonight's Tribal Council, but I still want to do whatever I can to make it so that I don't have to build fire tonight. | ” |
–Brianna |
As the afternoon wears on and the time for Tribal Council draws closer, the camera transitions to a conversation between Brianna and Christine as the two women are walking down the beach.
Brianna: I can not even begin to tell you how terrified I am going into this next vote! (Giggles nervously)
Christine (Nodding in agreement): Oh, for sure! Nick's made it clear to me that I'm at the very least getting his vote. I just hope I don't get Mikol's too because I'm probably getting yours.
Brianna simply giggles at Christine's comment, which causes Christine to start giggling a little bit herself.
Christine: What? You can be honest with me.
Brianna: Yeah, Mikol does appear to be the swing vote, I guess. But I dunno...
Christine (Perplexed): What don't you know?
Brianna (Shrugs): Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm honestly starting to wonder if taking Mikol to the end would be a good decision for us after all, in terms of either of our chances of winning.
Christine tilts her head from side to side for a couple of seconds as she processes what Brianna is saying.
Christine: Yeah, I see what you're saying there. He has been the pivotal vote during a number of these Tribal Councils, hasn't he?
Brianna (Nodding): Exactly! Like, I know there's that whole argument about him betraying and pissing off the so-called "Orange People," as Michelle called them. But I've just got this nagging thought saying "What if the jury respects the way he's played?" You know?
Christine: I guess that could be the case. I mean, it's not like he's been a jerk to people or anything.
Brianna: I know I might just be paranoid, but I don't want to go into this final vote without going through every option, if you know what I mean.
“ | To be honest, it never really occurred to me until now that Mikol might actually be a potential threat to win the game if he makes it to the end. I mean, while there is the argument that he's betrayed so many jurors, he has shown to have been mindful of their feelings, in addition to the fact that he's been a pivotal vote at a lot of these Tribal Councils, especially since we merged. Maybe the chances of him winning against me are a long shot, but I still want to go through all of my options tonight with a fine-toothed comb as opposed to voting for Christine and hoping I don't have to make fire. | ” |
–Brianna |
Brianna: I dunno, I mean, if you do happen to convince Mikol to vote for me tonight, and assuming that Nick is indeed voting for you, if you and I both write Mikol's name down, he goes to the jury, and we both go to the end.
Christine (Nodding): Yeah, I guess that's true. (Shakes head) I guess I just never really considered voting for Mikol because Nick's been so quick to write him off as a potential threat.
Brianna: Yeah, I brought the idea up to Nick as well and he shot it down quite quickly!
Christine: I mean... voting Mikol out tonight is worth considering, I guess. I just never really thought about it until you brought it up just now.
Brianna: Yeah, fair enough. I just don't think we should leave any stone unturned before this final vote.
Christine: I agree with you there, absolutely.
“ | I'd be lying if I told you that Brianna didn't catch me off guard when she said that her and I should consider voting for Mikol. I've said before that I think Mikol's played a really good game out here, and I did mean it. It's just that people have been talking about Brianna being a possible jury threat for so long now that I just kind of assumed the most likely way for me to stay in the game would be to campaign against her. (Chuckles) Mikol's been quite open with me about how he's not sure how he's voting tonight, so even if Brianna's serious about voting for Mikol, if I follow through with that, there's a chance that I make fire either way, or worse, vote myself out if Brianna doesn't follow through, which would be extremely embarrassing! (Chuckles ironically) So yeah, if I do vote for Mikol tonight, I need to make damn sure Brianna's doing the same! Regardless, every option is always worth considering going into any vote, especially this one, and I need to make sure that if I do advance to the Final Tribal Council that I'm in the best possible position to take the million home. | ” |
–Christine |
We are now taken to a shot of the shelter as the final four pack their bags in preparation for Tribal Council. Soon, the camera zooms in on the nervous expression on Mikol's face as he places his bag around his shoulder.
“ | I am still extremely nervous going into this vote because I think that there are some very good points for voting Christine out and for voting Brianna out. There's so many things going though my mind right now because I want to give myself the best possible chance of winning the game tomorrow. I'm well aware that I've hurt some people on the jury and that winning could be a bit of a long shot for me no matter who I go with. But as far as I'm concerned, if I do have even a slight chance of winning the game, I want to capitalize on that to the best of my ability. | ” |
–Mikol |
Once the camera transitions out of Mikol's confessional, we see the four remaining castaways picking up their torches and making their way towards Tribal Council in a single-file line, with Christine leading the way.
Tribal Council (Day 38)[]
The four remaining members of the Una Tribu tribe enter the Tribal Council area carrying their torches. Jeff Probst is standing in the hut waiting for them. They each then put their torches in their holders and take a seat on one of the stools. Jeff Probst then sits down himself.
Jeff Probst: We will now bring in the members of our jury. Gerald… Frank… Kayla… Laura… Kenley… Raina… Michelle… and Jodi, voted out at the last Tribal Council.
Jodi is shown entering the tribal council area wearing a knee-length evergreen dress and 2-inch green high heels. As Jodi sits down, we also see that she has on bright evergreen eye shadow. We then see her roll her eyes, shake her head, and let out a playful giggle once she notices that Nick is wearing the immunity necklace.
Jeff Probst: Well, Mikol, Nick, Christine, and Brianna, congratulations again on making it all the way to the final four. Tonight, we will determine the three people that advance to tomorrow's Final Tribal Council and will have a chance to fight for the million dollars. However, that also means that one more of you will be joining the jury. One thing for sure though is that Nick is going to be at the Final Tribal Council for winning the final immunity challenge. Nick, what was winning that challenge like for you?
Nick: It was an awesome feeling Jeff, 100%. I really do feel as though I have played a game worthy of a million dollars and I just feel very relieved that I have the opportunity to explain to the jury why that is the case. That all being on top of the fact that I have a large degree of power to influence who sits next to me tomorrow and who goes over there. (Points to the jury bench)
The camera now shows Raina on the jury rolling her eyes, followed by Frank nodding slowly with a serious expression on his face.
Jeff Probst: Mikol, would you agree that Nick has a lot of power to influence the vote tonight?
Mikol (Nodding): Absolutely he does! I mean, he just needs one person to vote alongside him and we have a fire-making challenge at the very least.
Jeff Probst: So Nick, seeing as though you do have this degree of power, have you been approached by Christine, Brianna, and Mikol as to why you believe they should sit next to you tomorrow, or at least why someone else should go to the jury?
Nick: Yeah, I've had conversations with all three of 'em, and I think the arguments are all pretty straightforward. It's just a matter of making the decision that gives me the best possible chance of winning the game.
Jeff Probst: So Brianna, why should Nick vote to keep you in the game and sit next to him tomorrow?
Brianna: I think it's just a matter of the other two people next to me possibly having a better chance of actually winning, I guess. I mean, Christine is universally loved by everyone, she's been the last old person in the game for over two weeks, and she's been in the majority a long time. Mikol on the other hand has been a pivotal vote at most, if not all, of these Tribal Councils, especially since the merge.
Gerald on the jury can be seen nodding, as Frank stares at the finalists with a serious glare on his face, and Kayla appears a bit confused.
Jeff Probst: So Brianna, you're basically saying "Take me to the end, because I'm much easier to beat than these two."
Brianna (Nodding): Yeah, I guess so.
Jeff Probst: So Christine, how do you respond to that? What argument do you make to Nick to keep you around and sit next to him in front of the jury?
Christine: I say to Nick, as well as the other two, that while I may be the last remaining (uses finger quotes) "Old person," as it were, I may not be as universally loved as someone like Brianna is.
Kenley, Raina, and Jodi on the jury all appear quite confused by this as Christine continues her answer.
Christine: I'm aware that there are people on the jury that straight up didn't want me to make it this far into the game and I'm thinking that there's a chance that it could come back to bite me tomorrow. Brianna on the other hand, has no enemies on the jury, only close friends, some of whom she's played this game with since day 1.
We now see close-ups of Kayla and Michelle on the jury, with Michelle giving a slight nod.
Chrsitine: Then of course, as Brianna brought up, there's the fact that Mikol has been a pivotal decision maker for a lot of these votes.
Jeff Probst: So Mikol, you now have both Christine and Brianna saying that you could be a huge threat to win the game because your vote has been pivotal in sending a number of people on the jury. What do you say to convince Nick that you should stick around?
Mikol: While yes, my vote has I guess been a key one for a lot of these past Tribal Councils, I'm sure that I've angered a lot of people that have been sent to the jury, with some people over there being close friends that I have stabbed in the back. (We see a quick shot of Kenley on the jury before the camera returns to Mikol). While I'd like the opportunity to explain myself and the moves that I have made, you have both Christine and Brianna who haven't betrayed anybody over there, and both of them are very likable. As Christine said, Brianna has a few friends on the jury that are probably rooting for her, but at the same time, Christine is very motherly and very charismatic, as well as a great strategist, so I think she'd have a great shot to win as well.
Jeff Probst: So Nick, having heard all of these arguments from Brianna, Christine, and Mikol, how do you process them in order to make your decision?
Nick: Obviously all three of them are telling me only one side of the story and trying to convince me why I can beat them. So I can't just look at these arguments alone, Jeff. I need to also look at the time I've spent in the game with them as well in order to determine the best move for me tonight.
Jeff Probst: So, with all that being said, there is a lot for everyone to take in, but it is time to get down to the vote. Nick has individual immunity tonight, you can not vote for Nick. Everyone else is fair game. It is time to vote, Brianna, you're up.
The music intensifies as Brianna stands up and makes her way to the voting podium. As she passes the jury bench, we see the serious faces of the eight jury members as they anxiously wait to find out who will be joining them, and who they will be addressing the next night. We then see Brianna approach the voting podium and take a deep breath before picking up the pen and removing the cap. The camera then fades out, and we can see Nick making his way to the voting podium, followed by a shot of Christine placing her folded up vote in the urn. Mikol is the last castaway to cast a vote. We see him simply staring at the parchment for a few moments before finally making his decision. Once he removes the cap from the pen, the camera transitions to a shot of him placing his vote in the urn. Mikol then rejoins his tribe and the camera turns to show Jeff.
Jeff Probst: I'll go tally the votes.
Jeff leaves to fetch the urn. Once he returns, he addresses the castaways.
Jeff Probst: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. Person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes.
Jeff now opens up the urn and takes out the first vote.
Jeff Probst: First vote...
CHRISTINE
Christine simply nods and giggles nervously.
BRIANNA 1 vote Christine, 1 vote Brianna.
Brianna begins to nervously bite her bottom lip.
CHRISTINE That's 2 votes Christine, 1 vote Brianna, 1 vote left...
Christine closes her eyes and shakes her head a bit. We then see a shot of Brianna with a hand over her mouth, followed by a close-up of Mikol, who appears equally as nervous as the two women.
Jeff Probst: 15th person voted out of Survivor: Uruguay and the ninth and final member of our jury...
CHRISTINE You need to bring me your torch.
Christine (Jokingly): WELL! Looks like none of you will be getting my vote tomorrow!
The three finalists, Jeff, and even Jodi and Kenley all let out a short laugh as Christine picks up her bag and places it on her shoulder.
Christine: Kidding! Before I leave though, I demand hugs from everyone.
The three finalists then stand up to hug Christine. She hugs Nick first, then Brianna, and finally Mikol, giving the latter two a quick peck on the cheek. Christine then picks up her torch and makes her way towards Jeff, congratulating the final three and wishing them luck at the Final Tribal Council the next day. Christine then places her torch in the holder in front of Jeff and sighs loudly.
Chrsitine: Well, shucks! (Giggles)
Jeff Probst: Christine, the tribe has spoken.
Jeff then places the snuffer on top of Christine's torch, extinguishing the flame. As he removes the snuffer, we see a puff of smoke rising from the torch where the flame once was.
Jeff Probst: It's time for you to go.
Christine then gives Jeff a quick hug, as well as a peck on the cheek. She then turns to face the three finalists one last time.
Christine: Congratulations again, you guys! Good luck to all of you. I can't wait for tomorrow. See ya' then!
Christine then waves good-bye to the three finalists, who all do the same. Christine then blows them a kiss before turning around, leaving the Tribal Council area, and walking off into the night.
Jeff Probst: Nick, Brianna, Mikol, congratulations. The three of you have now made it as far as you can go in this game. Now, the power shifts from you to the jury. Nine people, including Christine, who you have voted out of this game, either directly or indirectly, now hold your fate in their hands. Tomorrow, we will reconvene here for your Final Tribal Council where they will decide which one of you will win the title of Sole Survivor, and the million dollar cheque that goes along with it. I advise the three of you you to go back to camp, get a good night's sleep and prepare for tomorrow's Final Tribal Council. Grab your torches, head back to camp. Good night.
Triumphant music now plays as the final three grab their bags and their torches, then make their way back towards their camp.

Final Words[]
“ | As much as I wish I wasn't sitting here right now, I can't deny that this was an amazing experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I have met so many amazing people and I have shown myself that I am so much stronger than I ever could have imagined. Even though I don't like the fact that I didn't make it to the Final Tribal Council, I am not bitter whatsoever. I really do wish Mikol, Brianna, and Nick all the best of luck, and I can't wait to see how everything plays out tomorrow! (Smiling) | ” |

Voting Confessionals[]
Night 38[]
Una Tribu[]
Once the camera fades out of Christine's final words, we are taken to a shot of the three finalists returning to camp on night 38. Although all 3 are clearly happy to have made it to the end of the game, only Nick appears to be visibly excited as they lean their torches against the usual sturdy tree.
Nick (Elated): Congratulations kids! We did it! We're going to the Final Tribal Council!
Mikol (Flashing a small smile): Yeah. I can't believe the end has finally arrived.
Brianna: Yeah, we should all be proud of ourselves.
At this point, Nick senses that Brianna and Mikol don't appear to be as excited as he is. As such, he chooses to question why they appear to be somewhat down.
Nick: Is something wrong, you two? I mean, I just kind of expected you to be jumping for joy with me! (Chuckles)
Mikol: Oh I am happy, don't get me wrong. It's just that I didn't like the idea of voting Christine out. I know it had to be done, but I'll still miss her.
Nick: Well, the game's almost over, so you'll be seeing her soon enough anyway.
Mikol: That may be true, but camp still won't be the same without her bright, smiling face and bubbly personality.
“ | As much as I didn't want to vote Christine out, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it just had to be done. Frank may not necessarily be in love with Christine, but I'm sure the other eight jurors all would be and that even Frank wouldn't be able to put a stop to that. Besides, me flipping to vote Brianna out might've just shown the jury that I've done nothing but flip and back-stab people. Right now, my gut's telling me that I made the right decision, but I guess the only way for me to find out for sure will be how the jury addresses me tomorrow. | ” |
–Mikol |
Following Mikol's confessional, we see the final three sitting around the fire and having a casual conversation regarding their experience over the past 38 days. As they continue to chat, the camera focuses on Nick, who is still grinning from ear to ear.
“ | Even though the immunity necklace guaranteed to me that I wasn't going anywhere tonight, coming back from that last vote was still a surreal experience for me. Just hearing Jeff say that I have officially made it to the Final Tribal Council filled me with incredible joy! From day one I vowed to play a completely strategic game and fight my ass off to get to the end so I could win the money for my family. It just feels incredibly amazing to know that in less than 24 hours, I will almost certainly accomplish my goal. | ” |
–Nick |
We then see one last shot of the finalists sitting around the fire before the camera fades into a commercial break.
Day 39[]
Triumphant music begins to play as we return from the commercial break and see the bright and sunny morning of day 39. Nick and Mikol can be seen chatting by the fire as Brianna steps out of the shelter and approaches them, having just woke up. As soon as Mikol and Nick see her, they congratulate her on making it all the way to day 39. Brianna then congratulates them right back as the camera zooms in on her smiling face before transitioning to her confessional.
“ | When I woke up today, I really felt the need to pinch myself because I just couldn't believe that I am still here! I freely admit that I knew next to nothing about this game going into it, so my expectations were pretty low, to say the least. (Giggles) But I can't lie, I'm extremely proud of myself for making it to the end, and I think just me getting here shows how mentally strong and adaptable I really am! (Smiling) | ” |
–Brianna |
Upon returning from Brianna's confessional, we see her and Mikol chatting as they make their way towards tree-mail to see if they've received anything for the final day. Upon reaching tree-mail however, Brianna becomes speechless and looks as though she's about to faint, while Mikol ends up doing his best Selina Millville impression out of excitement.
Mikol (Shocked; Amazed): Oh... my... God! Oh my God, oh my God! This is incredible!
The camera now pans around to show what the two younger contestants are excited about and we see that a large array of food has been delivered to their camp. Everything that they have been craving throughout their 39 days in Uruguay including steak, eggs, bread, juices, bacon, a large array of fruits and vegetables, and lastly, pure Tannat wine, which is a red wine that had been made specifically for the castaways from grapes produced by a local Uruguayan vineyard. Excited, Mikol and Brianna begin to take the baskets of food back to camp as the camera focuses back on Brianna before cutting to another confessional from her.
“ | I never in a million years expected all that food to appear for us at tree-mail today. Honest to goodness, when Mikol and I approached that basket, I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or hallucinating, but I dang sure didn't think it was real! (Laughs) Like seriously, all that food was stuff that we've been craving for over a month at this point and I was anticipating some sort of feast after the Final Tribal Council and the game were all said and done. Either way though, it was a fantastic surprise and you'd better believe that I just could not wait to dig in! | ” |
–Brianna |
Brianna and Mikol are now shown returning to camp and announce to Nick that they are bringing food, which gets him extremely excited. Having already gotten the fire going strong, Nick immediately begins cooking the steak in a large pan and asks Brianna and Mikol how they want their steaks done, with the two younger castaways responding with "rare" and "medium-rare" respectively. Nick also cooks the eggs for the three of them as the camera closes in on the excited expression on his face before transitioning to his confessional.
“ | As much as I expected to have a feast on this final day, it was still amazing to see Mikol and Brianna return from tree-mail with all that food. It was also a little extra special for me to not only eat all that food, but cook it as well because I do most of the cooking back home in Delaware. So yeah, in addition to finally having a full belly, I also was able to have that warm and fuzzy feeling inside of me that I haven't had since my wife showed up for the loved ones challenge. Sure, I may back home in a mere 24 hours or so, but it was still nice for me to have that taste of home just a little bit early. (Smiles) | ” |
–Nick |
Upon returning from Nick's confessional, we see the final three digging into their feast and obviously enjoy the large array of food that has been provided for them. Soon, Nick pops the cork off of the Tappat wine bottle and pours each them a glass. Nick then sets the wine bottle down, picks up his glass, and offers a toast.
Nick: To us, for surviving these long, grueling 39 days, and to the jury for the decision they'll have to make tonight!
Mikol (Raising his Glass; Chiming in): And to Jeff for putting up with everybody's bulls*** over the course of this game!
The three castaways all share a short chuckle at Mikol's comment before saying "Cheers" in unison, clinking their glasses together, and sipping their wine.
Mikol (Pleasantly Surprised): Wow! This wine is delicious! I usually go for white wine over red, but this stuff is awesome!
Brianna (Nodding): Oh for sure! If the two of you weren't here, I'd probably drink the entire thing myself straight outta the bottle! (Chuckles)
Mikol then takes the wine bottle, pours himself another glass, and then examines the bottle closely for a moment.
Mikol: Wow! This wine was made right here in Uruguay!
Brianna: Makes sense, I guess. Argentinian wine is pretty dang good, so I never doubted that Uruguayan wine would be too.
Mikol: Yeah, hopefully I can manage to get my hands on one of these bottles back in the States so Brittany can taste it when I get back home... and also because I wouldn't mind drinking this again, myself.
“ | The food and the wine that was provided to us were all just unbelievably amazing. I mean, sure it could be the fact that we were starving, meaning that almost anything would taste good. (Giggles) But it was still awesome to have all this food as a reward for making it all the way to the end of this game and all of the hard work that the three of us have put into lasting this long. | ” |
–Mikol |
Following Mikol's confessional, we see Mikol and Brianna sitting on the beach and chatting as the look out towards the ocean, just as they did when they were both on the Rocha tribe.
Brianna (Sighs): Wow... I can't believe that this experience is almost over.
Mikol (Nodding): Yeah, I know. It's been a long and hard journey that has kicked my ass in more ways than one, but I'm also kind of sad in a way that this is the end.
Brianna: Why's that?
Mikol: Well, for one, you and I live in two completely different parts of the country. Even if we do stay in touch, which I hope we do, it'll be mostly via text or social media. We won't likely be able to have another conversation like this for a long time after today.
Brianna (Sighs): Yeah, I see what you're saying. I'm going to miss conversations like this with you, for sure. I just hope that we'll be able to actually see each other face-to-face on at least a semi-regular basis.
Mikol (Giggles): Yeah, that would be really nice. I don't if I'll ever be able to leave Minnesota, and I don't expect you to leave California, but the last thing I want is for our friendship to be maintained solely through technology.
Brianna: Well then, if I promise to visit Minnesota at least a couple of times per year, you need to promise to visit California at least a couple of times per year.
Mikol (Smiling): Sounds good to me. I can't make any solid promise obviously because university's expensive and I don't know if I'll be winning the million. But I'll certainly do my very best.
Brianna (Chuckles): Don't worry about it. I'm in exactly the same boat as you, you know that. But I promise to do my best as well.
Brianna and Mikol then share a hug as the camera cuts to the latter's confessional.
“ | This experience has been a real roller coaster for me. Not only do I feel as though I have grown tremendously as a person and gained much more confidence than I ever dreamed of, but I've shown myself that I am a much stronger person than I've ever given myself credit for and that no matter what is thrown at me, I can get right back up and keep fighting. No matter how tonight's Tribal Council turns out, I can honestly say that I'm not only proud of the game that I played out here, but I can also say that I am grateful to have met so many amazing people, made so many good friends, and especially the fact that I've been able to get to the end with a wonderful person like Brianna after meeting her on day one. So, while I am sad in a sense for this experience to be coming to an end, I truly will treasure the memories and the friendships that I've made out here for the rest of my life. | ” |
–Mikol |
As the afternoon wears on, we can see the three remaining castaways chatting around the fire. After a short while, Nick looks up at the sky and notices that the sun may begin to set soon, meaning that the Final Tribal Council is approaching quickly.
Nick (Sighs loudly): Well, we should probably start packing camp out now. We won't be coming back here after Tribal this time, so we'll have a lot more to do.
Mikol (Nodding): Good idea. I was also kind of hoping to burn down the shelter as well.
Brianna (In awe): Really? We can do that!?
Nick (Laughs): Why not? Nobody's going to be needing it anymore! Besides, I the shelter gets burned down on the last day in most seasons. So, why not burn ours down too?
Brianna: Well then, I'm totally in!
Mikol then heads towards the shelter and begins to pack clothing into bags, unless he knows the item belongs to either Brianna or Nick (thinking that they could pack their own stuff). We then see Brianna and Nick go around the rest of the camp and start tearing things down. The camera then shows a shot of Brianna untying the tribe's hammock from its trees before cutting to her confessional.
“ | Considering that I knew next to nothing about this game going into it, I think I played pretty well for myself. While I admit that Michelle deserves a lot of credit for me getting this far seeing as though she practically taught me the game, but the first time I got votes was at the final eight and it seemed like ever since then, people have been targeting me, yet I kept staying alive. Heck, even after Michelle left I managed to stay in the majority and get to the end! I also believe that I probably don't have nearly as many enemies on as Nick and Mikol do. So, all things considered, I might actually have a chance to win this game tonight! I have no idea what to expect going into this Final Tribal Council, and I'm nervous as heck! But at the same time, for once, I'm actually kind of excited for Tribal! (Giggles) | ” |
–Brianna |
Once Brianna's confessional is finished, we see the final three packing the last of the stuff from around camp that they will no longer need into their shelter. Once all three of them have taken a step back, we see that Nick has created a make-shift torch out of a long and dipped it into their fire. He then takes a deep breath and uses the torch to ignite the shelter once he is satisfied that it will burn completely into the ground, he tosses his make-shift torch into the flame and re-joins Mikol and Brianna as the camera cuts to his confessional.
“ | I deserve to win this game because at the vast majority of the Tribal Councils I've attended, I've been directly responsible for the person going home getting their torch snuffed. Not only did I run the game, but ever since Mikol came to Paysandu, I dragged him to the end with me. Brianna may have played a decent game, but Michelle dragged her for 35 days the same way I dragged Mikol for these entire 39! Whether the jury like me or not, tonight I will leave them with no choice but to respect the way I've played, and therefore cast their votes for me. The entire reason that I'm out here is because I wanted to win the million dollars for my family and I have fought too damn hard out here to lose the game now! So you'd better believe that I'm going to fight for each and ever vote just like I fought to make sure I got my way at each Tribal Council I attended throughout this game! | ” |
–Nick |
As the camera transitions out of Nick's confessional, we see the final three continuing to watch their shelter burn as memories from the past 39 days in Uruguay come flooding back to them. After a few moments, we see the roof of the shelter collapse as the sun begins to set in the sky. The three castaways then pick up their bags and go to retrieve their torches as the camera focuses on Mikol.
“ | As mad as some people may be at me, I've fought my ass off from day one to stay in this game and make it to the end! Sure, I may have betrayed people that I developed genuine friendships with, but at every vote I always made the move that needed to be made trying to maintain genuine relationships with people. Nick may say that he dragged me to the end, but I'm going to make sure that the jury knows that's utter bulls***! I listened to Nick when it was best for me, and I went against Nick when it was best for me! I truly believe that I was the driving strategic force in this game, which is something I never saw myself doing on day 1! But it happened, it's something that I'm extremely proud of, and I just pray that I didn't burn too many bridges on the jury because it's something I would love to be rewarded for. | ” |
–Mikol |
With their torches in hand, we now see Mikol, Nick, and Brianna making their way to their Final Tribal Council as the camera fades out.
Final Tribal Council[]
The final three are now shown entering the Tribal Council area wearing their torches as Jeff stands in the hut waiting for them. Once they place the torches in their holders and sit down, Jeff addresses the finalists.
Jeff Probst: We will now bring in our jury: Gerald... Frank... Kayla... Laura... Kenley ... Raina... Michelle... Jodi... and Christine, voted out at the last Tribal Council.
As Christine sits down on the jury bench, she flashes the final three a gigantic smile and blows them a kiss.
Jeff Probst: Nick, Brianna, Mikol, welcome to your Final Tribal Council. The three of you have now accomplished what 15 others have failed to do. That is, make it all the way to the end of this game. However, the power in this game now shifts from you to the jury. Nine people who you have helped vote out of this game, either directly or indirectly, now hold your fate in their hands. It is your job to convince them that you are the one deserving of the title of Sole Survivor and the million dollar cheque that goes along with it. Here's how this will work, the three of you will each have a chance to make an opening statement. Then, the jury will get their chance to address you with either a statement or a question that will help them make their million dollar decision. Once that is done, then we will vote. Alright, time for opening statements, Nick you're up.
Nick (Serious tone): Hey guys, I just wanna say that no matter what you think of me, I don't regret anything I did through the course of this game. I did not come here to make friends. I came out here for one reason and one reason only, that was to win a million dollars for my family. I wanted to come out here and fight as hard as I could to give my family a better life and to provide for my children's futures. I know I may have rubbed some of you the wrong way out here (Jodi mutters "Ya' think?" under her breath), but I know that all of you have families, so I'm sure you can understand why I fought the way I did to get to this point. From the very beginning, I got myself an alliance, dictated the votes, turned on that alliance when it was right for me, then dictated the rest of the game and got myself to the end, dragging Mikol along for the ride. (Mikol shakes his head "No") I'm very glad that I got the opportunity to play this game with you guys, and I'll happily answer any questions that you have for me. Thank you.
Frank is shown nodding his head, appearing to approve of Nick's speech, while Kenley and Raina appear almost disgusted.
Jeff Probst: Brianna, please give us your opening statement.
Brianna (Nervously): Hi everyone, ummm... it's great seeing you all again. Coming out here, I guess it seemed pretty clear that I did not know much about this game, like at all. (Giggles nervously) But, I think that I was pretty lucky early on to align myself with someone like Michelle, who basically taught me the game and really helped me get through it step-by-step. Umm, I found a Hidden Immunity Idol very early on, which I shared with only Michelle until I played it on myself a few days ago, which is something I'm proud of. But yeah, for the first 35 days, Michelle and I were able to stay in the majority for pretty much most of it, and I feel like during that time I formed decent relationships with most of you. Then once Michelle was gone, I ended up staying in the majority anyway and got here. So yeah, even though I knew next to nothing about the game, with Michelle's help, I feel like I was able to pick it up pretty quickly, and I think I did good. So... yeah. If you have any questions for me, please do ask. Other than that... vote for me, please. Thank you. (Giggles)
We see Michelle on the jury smiling at Brianna, while Jodi and Raina both seem to be confused by Brianna's statement.
Jeff Probst: Mikol.
Mikol (Flashes a small smile): Hey everyone. First off, I must say that I feel incredibly honoured to have had the chance to play this game with all of you amazing people. I know that I may have hurt some of you with the moves I've made out here, which I am sorry for doing. But at the same time, I'm very, very proud of the way that I've grown out here as a person, and the way that I played this game. I feel like I've overcome a lot out here given that at the start of the game I had a lot of issues with anxiety, which is something that I am proud to say that I believe I have conquered out here. As for my strategic game, Nick claimed in his opening speech that he dragged me here, but that couldn't have been further from the truth! I fought my ass off to get to this point, and I got myself to the end! If anything, I was the one to drag Nick along for the ride! But yeah... as I said, as sorry as I am for the feelings that I've hurt, I wouldn't change a thing about how I played the game because I am so proud of everything that I was able to accomplish. I am honoured that I had the chance to meet so many amazing people and play this amazing game with you guys. I'm actually very excited for tonight because I am eager to showcase the moves I made out here and why I made them because I do truly believe that I deserve the million dollar cheque. Thank you guys again for a great game, and I am excited to hear your questions for me.
Jeff Probst: Alright jury, now that you've heard the opening statements from Nick, Brianna, and Mikol, you now get to address them and their gameplay. This is your chance to gather the information you need to make a million dollar decision. I'll give you all a minute to think about what you want to say.
The camera shows a quick shot of the entire jury, followed by the nervous faces of the final three. It then pans out before fading into a commercial break. Once the program returns from the commercial break, Jeff addresses the jury.
Jeff Probst: Alright jury, some of you have waited a long time to address Mikol, Nick, and Brianna. So let's get right to it, Frank, you're up first.
FRANK[]
Upon hearing his name, Frank stands up and makes his way to the designated spot in front of the fire to address the final three. As Frank looks at them, he appears to be dead serious, showing little to no emotion whatsoever.
Frank: Well, I think that after those speeches, I'm pretty certain that there's one person I'm not voting for. Brianna, based on that speech, Michelle practically played the entire game for you. Now, I'm not sure that's entirely the case, but it does show that you knew next to nothing about this game going into it, and as of right now, I'm really wondering if you even deserve to be sitting in that seat!
Brianna (Hastily trying to back-track): I believe I do deserve to be sitting here, Frank! Look, maybe I did give Michelle a little too much credit in my opening speech, because I did have a mind of my own!
Frank (Bluntly): How so?
Brianna (Nervously): Well, she did try to get me to play the idol on her the night she went home because she was convinced that all the votes were going her way. But I was able to read the situation correctly and play the idol on myself. So yeah... I didn't listen to Michelle all the time, but I stuck with her because it was clearly what was best for my game, and after she was gone, I think it says something that I was still able to make it here.
Frank (Snide): Wow! So you played the game on your own for an entire 5 days of 39! Congratulations!
Frank rolls his eyes as Brianna shakes her head. Frank then turns his attention to Mikol.
Frank: As for you, young man, (Mikol nods) I'm on the fence about you right now. Nick claimed in his speech that he dragged you to the end, but you claimed in yours that it was the other way around. As far as I'm concerned, either of you could be lying, but by that same token, Nick is someone that I pegged as a threat very early on. So I want you to take me through the strategic plays that you made on your own out here.
Mikol: Sure thing. It started off with the third Tribal Council, I guess, when Billy went home. Before Shane left, Billy promised me that Kayla would be going home and that him, myself, and Shane would become a majority alliance, which I found out the hard way was nothing but a lie. So for the next vote, I was able to convince Brianna and Michelle that Billy needed to be gone because he was nothing but a liar. When I went to Paysandu, by myself, I was obviously worried about going home, but Shannon tried to assure me that it wasn't the case and that Nick was going instead. After the challenge, Shannon admitted that he didn't have the numbers to boot Nick, so he tried to get me to stay calm because he was trying to get the numbers to go after Laura. However, I decided that I didn't trust Shannon whatsoever, so I made the choice to go after him, and I managed to successfully gather the numbers to blindside Shannon. After the merge, I knew that there was a chance that I was on the bottom of Paysandu, but to be honest, I didn't trust that you and Kayla would keep me to the end of the game. So at the second merge vote, I developed my plan to get to the end. I made sure that my alliance voted against you, sending you home, and then I was going to make the move to flip. Even though my main target, Jodi, won immunity, I still knew that the move had to be made, so I unfortunately wrote Kenley's name down. I also made sure to go to Nick and get him to flip with me, because I didn't want to take all that heat for flipping by myself. From that point on, I was in the majority, and I always did what I could to steer the vote in the direction of what was best for me that particular night.
Frank (Nodding slowly): Hmmm... interesting. (Turns to Nick) Nick, you were someone that I pegged as a threat very early on in the game, so I am not at all surprised to see that you have made it to the end. One thing that I will say is that I really did appreciate the unapologetic attitude you presented in your opening speech. I hope that the rest of these people give you a chance to showcase the moves that you made, because I really do believe that you ran the game with an iron fist. I have no problem believing whatsoever that you deserve to be sitting there and that you deserve to win the game. I don't need anything from you because I believe that between sitting on the jury and hearing your opening speech, I got a pretty good sense of how you played the game. With that being said though, I am definitely leaning a particular way right now, but I will be listening the rest of the night to what all three of you have to say before I settle on my final decision.
Nick (Smiling): Thanks Frank.
Frank then gives Nick a slight nod before heading back to his seat. Jeff then calls the next person.
KAYLA[]
Jeff Probst: Kayla, you're next.
Kayla: Thanks Jeff!
As Kayla approaches the designated spot in front of the fire, we see that Mikol in particular appears nervous as he braces himself for what she might say.
Kayla (Bitterly): I'm just going to be straight to the point tonight, because I am not happy that I had a raw deal out here and was unable to make it to the end. Call me bitter all you want, but I'm on the jury, so you just have to deal with it!
All three finalists nod a little bit as Kayla turns her attention towards Nick.
Kayla (Seething): Nick, just know that as much as I hate Trump, and there are days when I'd swear he's the devil, I'd still vote for a painting of Hillary Clinton giving him a blowjob to win a million dollars before I vote for you tonight!
This statement catches most of the jury, as well as Brianna and Mikol off guard.
Kayla: Nick, I knew you for a grand total of 1 whole week, and in that week, you treated me as though I didn't exist! In fact, the only time you actually talked to me was when you decided that you wanted to flip on your alliance and needed my vote! (Nick goes to respond, but Kayla puts her hand up) Please don't talk to me tonight because clearly it will be more of the same, you just talking to me because you want my vote, and nothing more. So I'm going to kindly ask you not to talk as I address the two people sitting next to you. Okay? Good.
Nick simply shakes his head as Kayla turns her attention to Mikol.
Kayla: Mikol, I truly believe deep down that you are the sole reason I am not sitting where you are right now! Even though you may not have physically written my name down the night I went home, the fact that you were targeting me since day 2 caught me completely off guard and messed me up so much that I couldn't think straight! (Sighs, eyes seem to begin watering a little) I just don't get it, Mikol! Why did you target me of all people? Especially after I gave so much of myself to the tribe, not the least of which being getting all of us fire on day 1!
Mikol: Kayla, I can truly say that I am sorry for hurting your feelings, but I did not target you the way that you say that I did! The only reason I wrote your name down the night Shane went home is because Billy promised that he'd vote for you as well and that we'd be a majority alliance with Shane! After that vote, I realized that Billy had been lying to me, so I set out to target him. I am so sorry that you feel as though that vote is what threw you off your game so much that you lost the million. But as I said, if Billy would have just been honest with me about wanting Shane gone, then I would have voted Shane and we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.
Kayla (Rolls eyes): Whatever then. (Turns to Brianna) Brianna, you may not have been the strongest or smartest player out here, but you were dang sure one of the nicest! No matter what these people say, you played a clean game, you were always honest with me, and you actually treated me like a normal person, which is something I appreciate. I can proudly say that you got my vote, and I really hope that you get at least four more because you deserve it! (Makes a heart shape with her hands)
Brianna (Smiling): Thank you so much, Kayla!
Kayla: You're welcome! I'm done here.
Jeff Probst: Thanks Kayla.
Kayla then heads back to her seat with a smirk on her face as Jeff calls the next person.
LAURA[]
Jeff Probst: Laura.
Laura (Smiles sweetly): Thank you, Jeff.
Laura then stands up and Kenley helps her off of the jury bench as she makes her way in front of the fire to address the castaways.
Laura: Wow! (Sighs) Umm... hi guys, that speech must have been a lot to take in. I promise I'm not going to be quite like that. (Giggles) One thing I will say though is congratulations to all three of you for making it this far. You all must have done something right to get here in my eyes because well... otherwise you wouldn't be fighting for our votes. (Giggles) Umm... to Nick and Mikol, I can honestly say that I was hurt by you guys turning on our alliance the way that you did because I really thought that we had something good going and that we could all make it to the final six before duking it out to see who the best really was. But anyway, Nick, I will say that the reason I didn't end up going along with your plan to try and blindside Jodi the night I went home was because, after much thought, I believed that you were just using me to get numbers, and that you had no serious plan to remain loyal to me after that vote. As it turns out, I actually ended up blindsided that night, which made it seem as though you tried to pull the wool over my eyes for no reason before you wrote my name down...
Nick (Putting his hand up): Can I say something?
Laura: Sure.
Nick: I had no idea whatsoever that you were going home that night! I was being completely truthful when I said that my plan was to blindside Jodi, which is why I ended up writing Raina's name down. Obviously, and unfortunately, my alliance had other ideas.
Laura (Shakes head): I'm not quite sure I buy that, to tell you the truth. I mean, you just finished telling us in your opening speech about how you dictated the entire game. So which is it? Did you know I was going home or not?
Nick (Adamant): I did not know you were going home that night, Laura! That is the honest truth!
Mikol puts his hand up, wanting to add something to the conversation.
Laura: Do you have something to say, Mikol?
Mikol (Sighs): Yes I do, Laura. Nick's telling the truth when he says that he had no idea you were going. After the challenge, Nick was adamant that the votes be split between Jodi and Raina, fearing that an idol could be played on Jodi somehow. Since we didn't technically have the numbers, Nick was certain that he could flip you to our side. Obviously you never committed, although Nick remained adamant that he would flip your vote. So, between us not knowing where you stood, as well as the fact that you are such a nice person that you easily would have won the game if you got to the end, I figured that our best move would be to get you out. So I convinced Michelle, Brianna, and Christine to vote for you, while leaving Nick in the dark because he was so stubborn and would ruin the move if he knew what the plan was. So if anyone's to blame for you leaving the game, Laura, it's me.
Laura (Takes a deep breath): Thanks Mikol, I do appreciate the honesty there. As I said though, I am still hurt by the fact that you and Nick betrayed our alliance like you did, and I'm not sure I can bring myself to vote for either of you, especially when one person sitting next to you played what I believe was an honourable game. But with that being said, I do have a lot to think about now. So thank you.
Mikol (Nodding): You're welcome.
Laura now makes her way back to her spot on the jury bench. Once she sits back down, Jeff calls the next person.
RAINA[]
Jeff Probst: Raina, you're up.
Raina now stands up and makes her way in front of the fire to address the final three.
Raina (Smiling): Hello guys, congratulations on making it all the way to the end. As much as I wish I could be sitting over there, I'm still totally happy for all three of you. So, well done.
The final three all thank Raina as she quickly gathers her thoughts together before addressing the finalists individually.
Raina: Mikol, I'm going to start with you tonight because I finally get to tell you something that I've been meaning to tell you for a while now. Since even before I was voted off, in fact.
Mikol (Nodding): Sure.
Raina: I just want to say that I'm very proud of you for accomplishing everything that you have over the course of this game.
Mikol (Taken aback): Thank you, Raina. Thank you very much.
Raina: You're very welcome. Um, as I was saying, you were open in your opening speech about how you had issues with anxiety before you came out here and at the start of the game. Well, as you know, I am a Behaviour Therapist. As such, in both my professional life, as well as my personal life, I have a lot of experience with people that have been in that boat that you were in at the start of the game. I remember how terrified you were when you first came to Paysandu. You tried your best to hide it, but me being me, I knew that you had some sort of inner battle that you were fighting to overcome. So, I was amazed watching you grow throughout the game from being this shy and timid little puppy that would run off to the beach because he was overwhelmed and needed to be alone, to this confident player that made moves for himself and actually played the game hard! I'm also proud to see how you're owning up to your game tonight, and especially with how you answered Laura just now in taking ownership of blindsiding her like that. (Tone turns serious) Now, I'm not going to stand here and say that I didn't feel betrayed by you when you flipped on our alliance, because believe me, I totally did! Not only that, but to be honest, I'm pretty sure that I'm one of very few people on the jury that were seriously considering voting for you before those opening speeches. As far as I'm concerned though, what makes your turn at least somewhat bearable was that at least you didn't completely cut us off and pretend that we didn't exist altogether... (glares at Nick) unlike a certain someone.
Nick, noting the fire behind Raina's remark, puts a hand up, eager to defend himself.
Nick: Can I say something, please, Raina?
Raina (Blunt): No!
Nick is noticeably caught off guard by Raina's harsh response. Raina simply glares at him for another few seconds before turning her attention to Brianna.
Raina: Brianna, coming into this Final Tribal Council, I was actually pretty excited to hear about the kind of game you played. With that being said though, I haven't heard much from you that actually has me convinced that you played a game worthy of winning a million dollars. So, seeing as though you gave Michelle a lot of credit in your opening speech, I'm just dying to know one thing. Did you ever contemplate voting Michelle out?
Brianna: Well, the thought did cross my mind a couple of times out here, I can't lie, especially as we got further along in the game. With that being said though, I never did actually come to a point where I gave it some serious thought. To me, Michelle was a loyal ally that was never going to stab me in the back, and to be totally honest, I actually thought I had a chance of beating her if we both got to the end. (Michelle on the jury is surprised by this) So... yeah. To answer your question, the thought crossed my mind every so often, but not to the point where I seriously considered it. So I guess I'd go with "No."
Raina (Nodding; Smiling): Okay, thanks Brianna. Good luck all of you.
Raina now heads back to her seat on the jury bench. Once she sits back down, Jeff calls the next person.
GERALD[]
Jeff Probst: Gerald, you're up.
Gerald: Alrighty.
Gerald now stands up and makes his way to the designated spot in front of the fire. Once there, he crosses his arms and glares at the finalists.
Gerald: Alright, I wanna make this brief 'cause I'm old and need my beauty sleep.
Kenley and Jodi on the jury share a short chuckle as Gerald turns his attention to Nick.
Gerald: Nick, I knew you in this game for all of three days, so I dunno much about you as a person, or how full of s*** you are in your daily life. However, after hearing everything that's been said so far tonight, I can tell that you're so full of s*** that your eyes are brown!
Nick (Slightly confused): Umm... my eyes have always been brown...
Gerald (Buts in): THAT'S THE JOKE, STUPID! (Nick is clearly caught off guard by this) Now, let me finish, will you? Now, as I was saying, I don't know much, if anything about you 'cause we weren't living together out here very long. But I find it so hard to believe that you dragged Mikol to the end, especially after admitting that you had no idea Laura was going home, while Mikol said that the move was his idea. So... yeah, take that as you will. (Turns to Mikol) Alright, Mikey, I'm not upset with you not going through with the proposed cross-tribe alliance we had. To be honest, considering that you and I barely knew each other, I don't think I'd have much of a right to be upset about such a thing. I mean, you didn't really betray me, especially 'cause nobody in that group did a good job of putting any sort of plan in place, 'cause if we did, I'd have been in the game much longer. (Mikol simply nods) But I digress. (Turns to Brianna) Brianna, once again, you and I never really connected on a personal level. I'm happy to see that obviously you were a loyal player, but all I can really say about you is that I appreciate the fact that you seem like an actual, normal human. Lord knows that I didn't get the chance to talk to many people like that out here.
Brianna (Giggles): Thanks, Gerald.
Gerald: Now for my question. I'm sure that the three of you had enough of a functioning brain to notice a bit of a pattern with what I've said. I didn't really get to know any of you all that well out here! So what I want you to do is describe to me why I specifically should vote for you to win. Don't focus on the others, focus on why you should get my vote. Also, Brianna, can you please add why you also thought you could magically beat Michelle in the end if she does indeed deserve as much credit for you being here as you've implied tonight?
Brianna (Sighs): Okay, I guess. Well, I think the reason I guess that I thought I could beat Michelle in the end was because of her blunt personality, I guess. (Michelle again appears confused as Brianna starts talking faster due to nerves) Like, I never said I thought it would be a landside, but like you said Gerald, I was a pretty normal person, and I did get along with most people, if not everyone out here. As for why I deserve your vote in particular...
Gerald: Yes?
Brianna: Well, from what I've seen, honesty and loyalty are things that you really value, I guess. And well, I've been very loyal this entire game. Like, I've never betrayed anyone out here and I've never told a lie in this game, yet I still managed to get myself to the end, even while being totally alone for the last four days. So yeah... I do think I did good, and I do believe that I deserve your vote.
Gerald (Bluntly): Mikol, your turn, GO!
Mikol: Gerald, I can honestly say that even though we didn't really have much time to connect on a personal level, I do have a lot of respect for you. You are clearly a blunt, no-bulls*** kind of guy that works hard every day of his life. I deserve your vote, Gerald, because from day one I fought my ass off to be sitting right here at the Final Tribal Council! Not only did I fight to get here, while also making strategic plays to advance myself, but I also did it while receiving absolutely zero votes against me after the tribes merged! So yeah, I deserve your vote because not only did I play the game hard and fight my way here, but I also believe I played it well, which is something I think you would respect.
Gerald: Nick, your turn. No bulls***, please and thank you!
Nick: Gerald, I truly think that you are someone that would respect a good, hard-fought strategic game. I can honestly tell you that from the very beginning, I not only ruled this game with an iron fist, but I also got both myself and Mikol to the end! (Gerald rolls his eyes) I say I got Mikol to the end because it seemed like every time Mikol wanted to make a move, he needed my permission to do it.
Gerald (Butting in): Except for the Laura vote, obviously. But I get it, I don't need anymore. No further questions.
Jeff Probst: Thanks Gerald.
Gerald then heads back to the jury bench, sits down, and looks towards Nick one more time before rolling his eyes as Jeff calls the next person.
MICHELLE[]
Jeff Probst: Michelle, you're next.
Michelle: Hello finalists, congrats on making it here to the Final Tribal Council.
Final Three:: Thank you.
Michelle: Alright, before I get to my question for the three of you, I just have some things I need to get off my chest. Brianna, first off, I just want to say, despite how close we got out here, I want to make it clear to you that I'm not going to merely vote for you because of our friendship. That's not to say that I won't vote for you, but rather that our friendship alone isn't enough for me to write your name down tonight.
Brianna (Nodding): Understood.
Michelle: Secondly Brianna, I gotta admit, I was quite surprised that you wanted to take me to the end because you thought you could beat me! I gotta say, I'm actually kinda impressed 'cause I didn't even expect you to have a reason for sticking with me other than merely being loyal and having common sense. So... good job, I guess.
Both Michelle and Brianna share a short giggle before Michelle moves on.
Michelle: I also just wanna say, to all three of you, that I'm not bitter at all about leaving the game. Brianna girl, you know as well as I do that if I were in your place, I totally would have played the idol on myself that night as well. Mikol and Nick, I think I also should admit that if I was in your shoes, I'd also probably take me out because I was your biggest physical threat for sure, and probably your biggest strategic threat as well. So again, no hard feelings from me. Now, for my question, I simply want to know what your biggest move in the game was and how it helped get you where you are right now. Nick, you first.
Nick: My biggest move was definitely getting rid of Kenley. Sure, it may have been the obvious move at the time, but just look at him! He was clearly the biggest physical threat, the biggest social threat, and heck, probably a big strategic threat as well. So getting rid of him was a damn big deal because not only do I think I may not have gotten to the end otherwise, but also because he could have very well won the rest of the immunity challenges, gotten himself here, then swept the jury votes!
Michelle: Mikol?
Mikol: My biggest move in this game was getting Frank out, for sure. I figured that I was on the bottom of the so-called (uses finger quotes) "Orange People" alliance, but I also knew that I couldn't trust Frank to take me to the end if I flipped at the final 11. So, I made sure that my then alliance eliminated Frank, then that's what paved the way for me to get to the end while being in a secure majority the whole time.
Michelle: Alright. Brianna?
Brianna: I'd have to say playing the Hidden Immunity Idol on myself the night you went home. Not only could it have possibly been me that night if I didn't play it at all, it definitely would have been me if I played it on you. Not only that, but I feel like that was the move that allowed me to step out of the shadows and put myself on a path to get here tonight.
Michelle (Nodding): Thanks guys. Good luck to you.
Michelle now heads back to her seat on the jury bench. Once she sits down, Jeff calls up the next juror.
JODI[]
Jeff Probst: Jodi.
Jodi now steps down off of the jury bench and walks over towards the centre fire to face the final three.
Jodi: Hey guys, congrats on making it here to this place we all wanted to be at. It really is quite an achievement, especially after such a difficult game.
Final Three: Thank you.
Jodi: Alright, here it goes. (Sighs loudly) Nick... my, oh my, have I been waiting for this! (Nick simply nods) You and I have had quite an odd relationship out here, to say the least. I mean, you and I got extremely close in this game while we were on Paysandu. To be honest, besides me, I don't think that there was a single person that you really opened up to out here. In fact, I remember that one conversation that you and I had on day 16. You really opened up to me about your family and about how much you loved and cared for them, which really touched my heart. I also remember you mentioning that the reason you didn't talk about them much out here was because you feared that it would distract you from the game. From there, the two of us went on to have a really awesome conversation that I thought brought the two of us really close together. So, with all that being said, imagine my surprise when you not only flip on the alliance that you and I had, but you also practically ignored me and avoided me like the plague after that! Even more surprising to me, from everything I've seen and heard, you went on a warpath to get me out of the game! Now, let me be perfectly clear here, the flip itself is not what bothered me. Hell no! What bothered me was the fact that you took such a close relationship, like the one we developed, and you just crumpled it up and threw it in the garbage like it was nothing. (Takes a deep breath and wipes her face with her hands) Sorry... I didn't expect this part of the night to be the difficult part. (Giggles ironically) (Takes another deep breath) Anyway... I've seen and dealt with a lot of cold-hearted and callous s*** though my life and career. I've prosecuted death penalty cases for crying out loud! But it still blows my mind that a person could s*** all over a close friendship like that. As I said Nick, the flip is not what bothered me. All I want to know from you is why you took that friendship that we had and put it in the shredder the way you did.
Nick: Jodi, as I've been meaning to say this whole night, the reason that I didn't really interact with you guys much is because I wanted to make it very clear where I stood. I didn't want there to be any blurred lines, nor did I want it to seem as though I was playing the middle. Having just flipped alliances, I needed my new alliance to know that I was going to be loyal to them the whole way. As for why I targeted you the way I did, well that was simply because there was not a doubt in my mind that you were the biggest strategic threat in the game, so I needed to get you out.
Jodi: Thanks for that explanation, I guess. Honestly though, Nick, anybody with half a brain would have realized that you weren't coming back to our alliance. I just feel like the least you could have done was treat us with a little dignity and respect, especially after you and I became so close before the merge. (Turns to Mikol) Mikol, while you also flipped on me, your move didn't hurt me nearly as badly as Nick's did. Unlike him, you at least treated us as though we were human beings, even though you made it clear where your loyalty went to. With that being said though, going into this Final Tribal, you had maybe one vote... because Raina's a weird duck. (Raina on the jury starts laughing) Anyway, but yeah, I'm impressed with how you've performed tonight and owned up to your game. I'm still not totally sure if I'll vote for you, but I am suddenly seriously considering it. (Turns to Brianna) You on the other hand, I can't really say the same. You gave Michelle a lot of credit for the game you played, and even though you did get yourself to the end after she went home, as Frank said, that is still only 5 days of 39, which isn't nearly enough for me. So I need the two of you to tell me why you deserve the million over the other one. Please, completely disregard Nick because there's no chance of him getting my vote, so there's no need for him to waste his breath. (Nick rolls his eyes and shakes his head) Brianna, why don't you start?
Brianna: I think I deserve the million more than Mikol, I guess, because unlike him, I have been a very loyal person out here, and I didn't betray anybody, nor did I even tell one lie. Even though I do admit that Michelle helped me a lot out here, I stuck with her because it was best for me. So yeah, I did have a mind of my own, and I showed that the night Michelle went home and by still getting myself to the end. Also for the fact that I played a completely loyal and honest game, unlike Mikol.
Jodi (Nodding): Thanks Brianna. Mikol?
Mikol: Brianna may be a wonderful person, but I don't think you can deny that I fought much harder than she did to stay in the game. As she said, Michelle taught her the game and she only came into her own as a player during the last five days. Me? I played my ass off all 39 days, never stopped fighting, and also made strategic moves to advance myself the entire way, while also not receiving a vote against me after the merge.
Jodi (Nodding): Thanks so much. Good luck you two.
Hearing Jodi's last remark wishing luck only to Brianna and Mikol, a scowl comes across Nick's face. We then see Jodi take a seat on the jury bench as Jeff calls up the next juror.
KENLEY[]
Jeff Probst: Kenley.
Kenley lets out a sigh as he stands up and makes his way to the spot in front of the fire in order to address the castaways.
Kenley: Hey guys, congrats to all of you for beating out all of us sitting here. Before I get to my speech, I just want to say that by getting to that spot you're in right now, you obviously all had to have done something right. But to me, just getting to the end in and of itself doesn't automatically mean you deserve to win the million dollars. This game that we're playing is a social game just as much as it is a strategic game or a physical game. One of you excelled at the social part of the game, another one of you struggled at the social part of the game, and one of you utterly flopped at the social game because you either forgot that it was a thing, or you just didn't give enough of a crap about it. (Turns to Nick) Nick, that person that flopped at the social game would be you. Honestly, when you told Jodi that you wanted your new allies "to know exactly where you stood," I just about threw up! There's letting people know where you stand, then there's treating people as if they're worthless pawns on a chess board, and you did the latter. So, as such, you're not getting my vote tonight, and nothing you say can convince me, so I suggest you save your breath and just not speak.
Nick simply shakes his head as Kenley continues.
Kenley: So, this is where things get interesting. Brianna, before tonight, I was pretty certain that I was going to vote for you, and I still might. But this whole night, you gave Michelle so much credit for the game that you played, and my concern is that, like Nick, you might also have accomplished only the "Outlast" part of "Outwit, Outplay, Outlast." So, I want to give you another chance to clarify to me what you did for yourself out here, and how you got to the end of this game.
Brianna: Well, it's true that I did rely on Michelle a lot to get where I am right now, but I still played my own game. It was my choice to stick with Michelle as long as I did because she was not only loyal to me, but as I said, I also believed I could beat her if she was here right now. As I've said more than once tonight, it was also my own choice to play the idol on me the night she went home, and I also had to fight to get myself through the last five days. Also, if I may, I believe that I also contributed more than my fair share to strategic discussions with my alliance after the merge. So, yes I relied on Michelle, but it's also not like I was hiding behind her or anything, I did do stuff for myself and got here.
Kenley (Nodding): Okay then, fair enough, I guess. (Sighs and rubs his hands together) Mikol, you're turn now, buddy. You, my friend... you treated me exactly the opposite of Nick after you turned on the alliance. But as I told you after we got back from Tribal that night, in some ways, your betrayal hurt more. Ya' know... even though we only knew each other since day 12, I feel like you and I got much closer as friends than I ever did with Nick. So... (sighs) as much as I can understand and appreciate that you felt like you were on the bottom of the alliance, that is not how I saw things in my eyes, and it does hurt that you didn't have the same faith in me that I had with you, and I hope that you can understand and appreciate that.
Mikol (Apologetic): I do, Ken. I very much do, and believe me, I didn't want to write your name down that night, but I made the decision that I believed was best for my game, and that was it. I really, truly am sorry for hurting you the way I did.
Kenley: I know you're sorry, Mikol, and I do appreciate that you've owned up to your game tonight, but even though I am seriously considering writing your name down right now, it's still going to be hard to be to do it after you betrayed the friendship we had. Honestly Mikol, I did appreciate the fact that you acted exactly the opposite of Nick after you turned on our alliance and our friendship by trying so hard to make amends with me after the fact. But there's one burning question that I not only need an answer to, but that I need a completely honest answer to tonight.
Mikol: What's that?
Kenley: When you were making that attempt to make amends with me after you turned on our alliance, specifically when you gave up your reward to me, was there any part of you that was doing it because you thought there was a chance that by doing it, that I might vote for you if you made it to the end?
Mikol (Caught off guard): I'm sorry... what was that?
Kenley: I just want to know if the was any part of you that was thinking that you might get my vote tonight when you gave up your reward to me that day after you tried to vote me out.
Upon hearing this question a second time, Mikol is speechless for a bit, after a couple of seconds, Mikol's eyes begin to water a little as he forces out his answer.
Mikol: No! Not at all, Ken! I... I'm so sorry you got that impression because getting your jury vote didn't cross my mind at all in that moment! (Wipes his eys) It was just my way of showing you, as opposed to merely telling you, that I still wanted to be friends with you after this game. Even now, I completely understand if you choose not to vote for me. It's just that because of the fact that I noticed how hurt you were, I wanted to give you something that showed how much I cared about our real life friendship that I didn't want to end as a result of this game. Again... I'm so, so sorry I made you feel that way, because that was not my intention at all. (Wipes his eyes again)
Kenley (Nodding): Thank you, Mikol. I wish all three of you the best of luck tonight. (Turns to Jeff) No further questions.
Jeff Probst: Thanks Kenley.
We see Kenley sit back down on the jury bench as Mikol regains his composure. Jeff then calls up the final juror.
CHRISTINE[]
Jeff Probst: Christine, close us out.
Christine (Smiling): With pleasure!
Christine now walks over to the designated spot in front of the fire and smiles at the final three.
Christine:: Before I say anything else, I just want to congratulate all three of you for making it to the end. This game was extremely difficult, and I hope you are all proud of everything you've accomplished out here.
The final three thank Christine as she turns her attention to Brianna and Mikol.
Christine: Brianna, Mikol, I feel so honoured and thankful that I have gotten to meet the two of you out here. I think you are both intelligent and caring young people who are going to go very far in this world. I don't need anything from the two of you right now, but I will wish you both the best of luck, and I hope we can stay in touch after the game.
Mikol and Brianna both thank Christine a second time as she turns her focus towards Nick and the expression on her face becomes much more serious.
Christine: Nick, what is my last name?
Nick, as well as most of the jurors, are visibly shocked at this question.
Nick: Excuse me?
Christine: I want you to tell me what my last name is.
Nick (Extremely confused): I'm sorry... I don't mean to be rude, but I don't understand the relevance of the question.
Christine (Frankly): You don't need to know where I'm going with this right now. But, if you don't want to answer the question, I could have a seat right now and just not vote for you. I will ask you again, what is my last name?
Nick: Umm... let's see here... I know it's the same as the colour of your original tribe... at least I'm pretty sure it is... Green?
Christine simply tilts her head and shoots Nick an evil-looking grin for a brief moment before responding.
Christine: No Nick, my last name is Teal. In fact, I literally just mentioned it to you three days ago when all five of us were trapped in the shelter and it was storming during that conversation about why I didn't take my husband's last name when we got married, remember?
Nick (Still confused): I'm sorry, Christine. I still don't understand the relevance of the question, though.
Christine (Smirks): I was just getting to that. (Sighs) The reason I asked, Nick, is because I wanted to see just how inept you were at the social part of the game. I mean, you failed so badly at it that you couldn't even remember something so simple as a last name after not only spending 20 whole days with a person, but also having that piece of information specifically mentioned to you only three days ago! Ya' know, I had a feeling that you only saw people out here as chess pieces given that it seemed like the only times you wanted to talk to me out here were when you wanted to talk strategy. But the fact that you so horribly flopped on such a simple question just proves my point. Nick, Survivor is in fact, a social game at its core, yet you clearly made zero effort to establish any kind of social relationship with most people, while taking an elephant-sized bowel movement on the few you did have! (The camera shows a quick shot of Jodi glaring at Nick before returning to Christine) As such, there is no question in my mind that you not only won't be getting my vote, but also that you don't deserve to win this game. Now, after hearing the rest of these jurors speak tonight, I think it's pretty clear that your chances of winning are slim. However, being the caring person that I am, I just figured I'd mention it because if you do happen to get another shot at playing this game, I hope you at take the social game into consideration as much as the strategic game. Brianna, Mikol, I wish the two of you all the best of luck as we get set to vote. Congrats you two on a great game.
Brianna and Mikol thank Christine again, while Nick shakes his head as Christine heads back to her seat. Once Christine sits back down, the camera turns back towards Jeff.
Voting and Reading of the Votes[]
Jeff Probst: Alright jury, you just had your chance to address Brianna, Mikol, and Nick as to why they think they deserve the title of Sole Survivor and the million dollars. But before we vote, I'm going to give you a minute to process everything you heard before you make your decision.
The camera then pans out of Tribal Council and fades into a commercial break.
… Commercial Break…
The camera now shows an overhead look at Tribal Council. The camera then turns to Jeff, who is about to address the jury.
Jeff Probst: Alright jury, now that you've had time to process what you've heard from Brianna, Mikol, and Nick as to why they believe they deserve the title of Sole Survivor and the million dollar cheque that goes along with it. It is time to get to the vote. Remember, you are voting FOR a winner. You are casting your votes for the person that you believe most deserves the title of Sole Survivor and the million dollars. For the last time, it is time to vote. Laura, you're up.
Laura nods as she steps off of the jury bench and heads to the voting podium to cast her vote, which is not revealed. Laura is then followed to the voting podium by Jodi whose vote is also not revealed. Throughout the voting process, various shots of the final three are shown as they sit nervously on their stools.
Raina is the next juror to vote. Her vote for Mikol is revealed to the public.
“ | Mikol, I can't illustrate enough just how proud I am of how much you've accomplished during this game. I was also amazed at how well you owned up to your game tonight. You really do deserve this vote, and I hope you made enough people change their minds about you. Congrats. | ” |
–Raina |
Gerald is the next juror to vote, followed by Christine although their votes are not revealed. The next person to vote is Kayla, whose vote for Brianna is revealed to the public.
“ | I just can't bring myself to vote for either Mikol or Nick, especially after you played such a clean and honest game, as well as being a super nice person the entire time. Besides, I honestly think that you deserve the win anyway, so I hope you get it. | ” |
–Kayla |
Once Kayla sits back down on the jury bench, Michelle stands up and walks over to the voting podium to cast her vote, followed by Frank. Although Michelle's vote is not revealed, Frank's vote for Nick is.
“ | Nick, I don't care what any of these people say. I appreciate the unapologetic attitude that you presented, and I liked your aggressive game that you clearly had. You proved to me exactly why I saw you as a threat from the very beginning, and I believe that you definitely deserve this vote. I just hope that enough jurors actually use their brains tonight. | ” |
–Frank |
Kenley is the final juror to step up to the voting podium. We can see that he takes a little while to make up his mind before he lets out a sigh and picks up the pen. Once Kenley picks up the pen, he pauses for a little bit as he takes a deep breath before finally writing someone's name down. We then see Kenley placing his vote in the urn, then heading back to his seat.
Jeff Probst: I'll go get the votes.
Jeff leaves to fetch the urn, once he returns, he turns to the jury and the final three.
Jeff Probst: Well guys, thank you for another fantastic season of Survivor. I know that you guys would love for me to reveal these votes right now. However, as always, it will have to wait until we get back to the States. I'll see you all there!
Jeff then takes the urn and leaves the tribal council area. The camera shows him getting into a helicopter which then flies off as the camera fades out.
The camera fades back in to a shot of a helicopter flying through the skies of Los Angeles, California. After it lands, the camera shows Jeff make his way from the helicopter to the back of a limousine with the urn as he heads to the reunion show. As Jeff arrives at the reunion show with the urn, the camera shows us a shot of the final three and then the jury.
Jeff then comes onto the stage with the urn and places it on a podium in front of the final three, the jury, and the live studio audience.
Jeff Probst: Thank you! Thank you all very much! Have a seat! (The crowd sits and quiets down a little) Wow! You know, I'm always amazed by the warm welcome we receive. It's loyal fans like you that keep this show on the air after so many seasons!
(The crowd erupts into cheering)
Jeff Probst: Alright, let's get right down to it! Nick, Brianna, Mikol, there are nine votes in here. It takes five to win. Remember, you WANT to see your name on the parchment tonight. I'll read the votes.
Jeff Probst: First vote...
NICK
Nick smiles and mouths the word "thank you" as a few members of the live audience start cheering.
MIKOL 1 vote Nick, 1 vote Mikol
The crowd cheers louder for Mikol, who blushes.
BRIANNA We have a three-way tie. 1 vote Nick, 1 vote Mikol, 1 vote Brianna
Brianna gets the loudest cheer of all three finalists upon seeing the vote for her, which catches Brianna quite off guard.
BRIANNA
Brianna's eyes go wide, and the crowed gets a little bit louder upon seeing another vote for her.
MICHAEL We're tied, 2 votes Brianna, 2 votes Mikol, 1 vote Nick
Mikol giggles upon seeing his name misspelled on the parchment as the crowed gets a little bit louder yet. Although most people are cheering, there is one audible booing sound coming from the crowd from someone that appears to have an Australian accent.
MIKOL That's 3 votes Mikol, 2 votes Brianna, 1 vote Nick.
Mikol's eyes go wide and his jaw falls open, not expecting a third vote at all.
BRIANNA We're tied, yet again! 3 votes Mikol, 3 votes Brianna, 1 vote Nick, 2 votes left! Nick, this means that you must receive both of these last two votes in order to force a three-way tie.
Nick simply nods as Brianna grasps Mikol's hand as she anxiously waits for the last two votes to be revealed.
MIKOL This is it. 4 votes Mikol... 3 votes Brianna... 1 vote Nick... 1 vote left. That means that if this is a vote for Brianna, we have a tie. If this is a vote for either Nick or Mikol, we have a winner...
Jeff opens the final vote...
Jeff Probst: This is not a vote for... Nick.
The winner of Survivor: Uruguay...
MIKOL
Most of crowd erupts into applause and cheering as Mikol puts his head in his hands, completely and utterly shocked that he actually won the game. Nick and Brianna both clap for Mikol as well. Soon, Brianna gives Mikol a big hug as his hands are still over his face. The two of them then stand up as Mikol hugs Brianna back. As soon as Mikol and Brianna release their hug, Nick congratulates Mikol and gives him a bro-hug. The members of the jury then come out to congratulate Mikol, with Christine being the first to give him a big hug. Soon, Mikol walks off the stage to greet his family, who congratulate him. As Mikol and his now fiancee, Brittany, share a passionate kiss, the camera turns back to Jeff.
Jeff Probst: Well, there you have it! By a vote of 5-3-1, Mikol, the 26 year-old philosophy student from Minnesota, is our newest Sole Survivor after a game that can be accurately described with two words, growth and emotion. Up next, we will hear from Mikol on his strategy, Brianna on her Final Tribal performance that appeared to lose her a million dollars, and Gerald for being just one of the most purely entertaining old men that we've ever seen on the show. All that and much more on the live Survivor: Uruguay Reunion Show it is next!

Reunion Show Highlights[]
Mikol talks about his emotional journey though the game and how his initial strategy was to stay out of the drama as much as possible, and try his best to make moves from behind the scenes. Unfortunately, this became impossible after he voted for Kayla at the first vote, and he was forced to step out of his comfort zone and play much more aggressively.
- Mikol then mentions how in hindsight, it was probably better for him that he was forced to play aggressively the way he did because it allowed him to grow both as a player and as a person, and he's not sure if he would have won otherwise.
- Mikol does add however that he was embarrassed at times to watch his game back on TV, especially after he flipped on Paysandu, saying with a laugh that there were points during the season where he would visibly cringe, causing Brittany to laugh at him.
Jeff then did a quick poll of the jury, wondering who was pretty sure they were going to vote for Brianna before the Final Tribal Council. It turns out that 7 jurors raised their hands, with Raina saying that she probably would have voted for Mikol anyway, and Frank saying that he would have voted for Nick anyway. Jeff however does conclude that Brianna lost 4 votes, and therefore the game, because of that Final Tribal Council performance.
- Brianna responds by saying that she honestly didn't know what happened at the Final Tribal Council, just that she remembers being extremely nervous and just froze, leaving her unable to articulate herself the way she wanted to. She also points out that she'd like to think that Mikol's great Final Tribal performance is what got him the win, as opposed to her bad one. Jeff then takes this time to reiterate just how important the Final Tribal Council is when it comes to the game.
- Brianna is then asked if she is now a fan of Survivor, given how little she knew about it before the game. Brianna says that she is now a full-fledged Survivor fan, and plans on never missing another episode.
Christine is then praised for her game-play throughout the season and thanks the fans for their support. She then adds that she likes the nicknames "Queen Christine" and "Christqueen" and that she hopes they stick around for a while.
Nick and Jodi talk about how they quickly went from being best friends to mortal enemies during the game. Nick mentioned that he did apologize to Jodi after the Final Tribal Council for how he conducted himself during the game. Jodi accepted his apology.
Michelle talks about her friendship with Brianna and how she was the "yin" to Brianna's "yang," which Brianna completely agrees with.
- Jeff then brings up how Michelle and Brianna got a lot of support from the fans, saying that they were celebrated as being one of the most entertaining "Dynamic Duos" in Survivor history.
Raina talks about how her story of being a survivor of domestic abuse has touched a lot of people, and about how people have reached out to her through social media opening up about their stories. She said that although it was hard for her to open up about her past while on the show, she says that if she helped save even one life, then it was all worth it.
- Jeff then mentions that CBS would donate $50,000 to a shelter for domestic abuse victims in Raina's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, which gets loud cheers from the audience.
Kenley talks about the friendship he had with Mikol through the game and how shocked and hurt he was when Mikol betrayed their alliance.
- Kenley then said that the reason he asked Mikol if getting his jury vote came to mind when Mikol gave up his advantage is because there was no way he would have voted for Mikol if he answered "yes" to that question. He said that the response he got from Mikol is exactly what he was looking for and that he is proud to still consider Mikol a close friend.
Kayla talked about how she played the game with her heart and how surprised she was to receive such a negative response from fans. Kayla then says that she really wants to go on Survivor again, feeling as though she is now much more mature, and wants to show fans a different side of her than what they saw during Uruguay.
Frank talks about how surprised he was to have received as much support as he did from the fans, saying that he thought people would hate his guts. He talks about how he is still kicking himself for not recognizing the obvious signs that he was getting the votes the night he went home and wishes he would have played his idol when he had the chance.
- Jeff then brings up how Frank has an announcement, and Frank mentions that he is returning for Survivor: Guyana and will claim the million dollars when that season is over. That announcement is met with loud cheers from the audience.
Gerald talks about how, like Frank, he anticipated that people would hate his guts when the watched the show back. He then talks about how he was just being himself the whole time and how what people see is what they get.
- Jeff then talks about how much people enjoyed watching him on TV, especially during his rivalry with Susan, which causes her to laugh loudly.
- Jeff then asks the two of them if they are now friends, to which Gerald responds that he doesn't expect any Christmas cards from Susan to say the least. Susan then says that if Gerald wants to be friends with her, she is more than willing to bury the hatchet from their time in Uruguay. Gerald simply rolls his eyes and says that she's still just as annoying as ever, which gets some giggles from the audience and fellow castaways.
It is now time to reveal who won the polls for Player, Villain, and Hero of the season, as well as which castaways is seen as being the "Most in Need of Redemption."
- For Player of the Season, the top 2 vote getters were Christine and Mikol.
- Mikol was declared the "Player of the Season" with 35.48% of the vote, making him the first winner of the (my) series to win both the game, as well as "Player of the Season."

- Frank was then declared "Villain of the Season" with 40% of the vote.
- Nick received 20% of the vote, while Gerald received 10%.
- Frank was then declared "Villain of the Season" with 40% of the vote.
- For Hero of the Season, Jeff mentioned that the top 3 vote getters were Brianna, Kenley, and Laura.
- Kenley was declared "Hero of the Season" with 32.26% of the vote.

Author's Notes[]
The episode title was said by Brianna Foy as she expressed her desire to win the game.
After the Tribal Council on Day 37, Nick Sanderson became the last remaining member of the original Paysandu tribe.
The whole storyline I was going for this whole season had to do with overcoming adversity. Between Mikol's social anxiety at the start of the game, and Brianna not knowing anything about the game prior to it starting, it was important for me to have those two big underdogs make it to the end and end up fighting each other for the win as it made for a perfect ending to the story I was going for.
I know many of you were rooting for Brianna to win, but the reason I had her fumble at the FTC was because I felt as though it's something she'd realistically do given how she had no idea what to expect going into the FTC, as well as all that pressure she was put under, whereas Mikol knew what to expect going into FTC and what he had to do to win the votes.
