Immunity Challenge: Jump, Girl, Jump
Everyone is standing on each their raised plank and has to jump down into a lake. The plank will gradually raise and people who hesitates will be eliminated from the challenge. Last person standing wins. First person eliminated loses.
Marcus, Trenton, Gene and Al went off the next day to discuss the previous day's council.
Trenton: All three of you voted Rob?
Marcus: Of course, that was the deal.
Gene: Yeah, I voted for Rob too.
Trenton: So it's Nellie and Helle, for sure.
Trenton: I don't know. Lysander wouldn't vote for Marcus.
Marcus: I think he did though.
Gene: Earl and Gertha voted for Lysander, so it's not them.
Trenton: That leaves Helle, Nellie, Lysander and Rob... makes sense.
Al: I'll go talk to the girls.
|“||Yesterday was so close to a blindside you can get. I can't believe how close I was to getting voted out.||”|
|“||When you have a deal, you keep it. The girls and Lysander didn't keep it. We agreed to vote Rob, they didn't.||”|
Al went to talk to Helle and Nellie, both were sitting with Gertha by the fire.
Al: Good morning, girls.
Nellie: Hi, Al.
Al: I was just talking to the boys. We were wondering who voted for Marcus?
Nellie: We did. That's pretty obvious, isn't it?
Al: Yes, it is.
Gertha: I'd have voted Marcus too if I had known about it.
Al: Good thing you didn't then.
Helle: So, what, you're just here to tell us that we're in trouble?
Al: I'm here to offer you back in the alliance.
Gertha: Me too?
Gertha: As long as I don't have to vote for Earl, that's a good offer.
Al: If we're voting Earl, vote Earl.
Nellie: Okay, Al, we're back in. Don't worry.
As the tribe arrived, Jeff was standing by a bunch of trees.
Jeff: Welcome. In this challenge you will climb your tree and gather tree bags. In the bags are pieces to a puzzle. Assemble your puzzle first and you win. Does everyone understand?
Jeff: And here's what we're playing for; a feast. Everything you can ask for; chicken, steak, everything. Now, get ready.
|“||We all wanted to win that feast. We're all hungry.||”|
Earl, Marcus and Trenton all got their bags down fast and began assembling. Nellie got down as well, but Marcus managed to assemble the puzzle before any of the others, giving him victory.
Jeff: Congratulations, Marcus. You stay behind with one person, the rest return to the camp. Who do you choose?
Marcus: I... I choose Nellie.
Trenton: Wait, what?
Jeff: Alright. Nellie, Marcus enjoy lunch. The rest, I'll see you all tomorrow.
|“||It makes sense why he picked Nellie. He didn't want risking anything, so he's convincing her to vote with us. It's clever, but really, I would have preferred if he chose me.||”|
|“||I don't care, to be honest. All I want is to get far in this game, food doesn't matter.||”|
|“||I think it's good for Marcus and Nellie. I'm happy for them.||”|
Just before the challenge, Earl and Lysander went off to talk.
Lysander: We both want to get far in this game. Nellie went off to talk with Marcus a while back, and I am not in a very safe position right now. Neither are you.
Lysander: You, me, Gertha, Nellie and Helle. That's a strong alliance.
Earl: Yeah, that sounds good.
|“||I still don't get the game. Lysander's nice and I guess he's right. I'm just gonna do whatever Gertha does.||”|
The tribes arrived to the challenge. Jeff was standing by a lake.
Jeff: Welcome. In this challenge, you will stand on a raised plank and jump at my signal. The plank will gradually be raised. If you hesitate at my signal, you are out of the challenge. Be the first out and you have a vote on you at the start of tomorrow's council. Last persons standing wins immunity. Does everyone understand?
Jeff: Congratulations, Earl, come take the idol. Helle, you will have one vote at you in the beginning of the council. I'll see you all tomorrow.
As they got back, Lysander went off with Helle, Nellie, Earl and Gertha.
Lysander: If we want to save Helle, we have to vote for Marcus. So, Marcus. Everyone's in on that?
Nellie: Sounds great.
Gertha: Let's do it.
|“||I can't vote for Marcus, not after he invited me to that feast. It might have been all tactic, but I just can't.||”|
Elsewhere, Trenton and Marcus were talking as well, trying to hunt.
Trenton: It's easy, right? Helle?
Marcus: I was thinking, though. We could get rid of Gertha or Lysander.
Trenton: Right. Have Helle and Nellie vote with us?
Trenton: That sounds good. Then take out Earl next chance we get.
Marcus: Let's do it.
Trenton: Man, how do you even use this bow?
|“||Gertha brings so much joy to this tribe. Earl too. Yeah, Earl is probably the most happy person I've ever met. He's so nice, so inspirational. But this is a game, and somebody has to go.||”|
At the council, the first thing they were told to do, was to light a torch and set it behind them. They did that, and then Jeff began talking.
Jeff: Welcome to council. Earl, do you think the others have realized how strong of a player you are?
Earl: I don't know. I guess. I'm just hoping they like me for, you know, who I am.
Jeff: You think you can stay on behalf of that?
Earl: Well, yeah.
Jeff: Gertha, are you feeling like you're going tonight?
Gertha: No, I feel like I'm in a pretty good spot.
Jeff: How about you, Marcus?
Marcus: Really, I have no idea. I might go home tonight. There's been so many votes on me, I don't know why. I'm not even a very strong player.
Jeff: Let that be the words. One by one, you go up and write the name on the person you want out of Survivor. You have to vote, you can't vote for yourself. You can't vote for Al. In case of tie, it will be settled by duel. Al, you're up.
One by one, they all went up and wrote the names on the people they wanted out. After everyone had voted, Jeff got the urn and began revealing the notes.
He kept turning the votes until there was 1 on Helle, 3 on Marcus and 3 on Gertha.
Jeff: That means there is three votes left. The next vote is on you, Gertha. If the next vote is on you too, you're out. Tenth person voted out of Survivor: Nevada Mountains, Gertha. Get up here, get your torch.
Gertha got her torch. Jeff put it out with the words 'the tribe has spoken'.
