Story[]

Night 33[]

Light and haunting music chimes in as we see a rat slink its way past the tribe flag of Machu Picchu. The flag itself is flying high as a storm is starting to surround the camp and the castaways as they arrive back at camp from Tribal Council after blindsiding former Cusco member Ivan. The focus hones in on Dianne as she and Kerry are starting to gather up everyone's clothing so it doesn't get soaked by the rain.

Tonight was an extremely crucial vote for my sanctity and security in the game. Up until this point, I had been banking on the fact that Lima would stay one-hundred percent loyal to each other. However, before Tribal, I learned that Reggie had been planning to vote me out with Mike and Ivan. Thankfully, I was able to corner him into voting my way and taking out a big social threat in Ivan, which puts me back into a pretty good position with Andy and Kerry as my main two allies. But don't be fooled, I'm still gonna have both of my eyes on Reggie at all times. He's not gonna get another fast one past me.(Smiling)

–Dianne

Kerry(To Michael): Mike, how's the fire doing?

Michael(Protecting the fire): It's going, but I'm gonna need another something to cover it up a bit more or it's gonna go out.

Kerry nods and goes to retrieve a blanket from over by the shelter. The camera focuses on Michael as he and Reggie are both trying to simultaneously keep the fire alive.

When I saw Ivan's name come up at Tribal Council tonight, I knew that there was something amiss. And sure enough, it was another blindside that left me hanging. I literally have no idea what was going on or what changed before the vote, and now I'm back in the danger zone because I was left in the dark like that. Since I voted for Kerry, I know for a fact that Reggie must've switched his vote and helped get Ivan out. So even though the weather really wasn't the best for it, I still wanted to make a point of talking to Reggie before the night was over.

–Michael

As Dianne and Andy move farther and farther away from the firepit, Michael confronts Reggie about the outcome of the vote.

Michael(Quietly): So can you, like, explain to me what happened back there at Tribal? Because I'm seriously confused.

Reggie(Genuinely concerned): Dude, I'm really sorry about that. But Dianne gave me no choice. She said that she and Andy were both voting Ivan with Kerry and that if I didn't join them, we'd go to rocks and it could've been either you or me going home.

Michael stays silent, unsure of what to say or think as Reggie goes on.

Reggie: I'm still with you, though. There's no way I'm gonna let Dianne get the best of me after pulling such an underhanded and frustrating move like that.

Michael(Biting his lip): You sure you're not gonna flip back with Lima again?

Reggie(Looking him right in the eyes): I promise you, I'm not voting with Dianne. She's the next to go in my book, not you.

Michael takes a deep breath as he starts to get pelted by rain before he nods his head and the two shake hands to affirm the fact that they've mended their bonds and are still presently alligned with each other.

This last Tribal Council sucked. It really was the worst possible situation for me because I had to choose between forcing rocks and potentially eliminating myself, or going back on my word to the Cusco guys and pissing Michael off. I mean, there's no "good" option here. They both sucked. In the end, I did choose to go back to Lima because by doing that I at least guaranteed myself three more days of reconciling with Mike and Kerry. And believe me, I'm gonna make good use of that time to turn the tables on Dianne and her blackmailing behind!

–Reggie

Once the fire is covered up and everyone's personal belongings out of the pouring, the remaining five players all start to pile into the shelter and try their best to stay dry for the night. The focus is put back onto Michael as his eyes stare blankly at the roof of the structure, pondering all of the twists and turns that have put him back into the minority.

Reggie swore to me that we're all good, everything's hunky-dory, and that he still wants to take out the power pair of Dianne and Andy at the next Tribal Council. I do understand the situation he was put in and I guess I'm not mad about the choice he made since it didn't screw me out of the game completely, but I'm weary about jumping right back into an alliance with him. If he's willing to flip back and forth like he did tonight, he could very easily fold under the pressure again, and I don't want to be his next victim. But then again, he's really my only option at the moment for a solid ally since the other three all seemed to be linked up now. So while I don't trust Reggie entirely, I'm still in an alliance with him because he's all I got.(Sighing)

–Michael

A shot of the stormy and chaotic skies is shown as the rain falls to the ground before the intro sequence is cued in.

Day 34[]

The scene starts back in as the sky itself starts to get lighter as the castaways' thirty-fourth day in the jungles of Peru. However, the sky is still cloudy and dreary from the storm that has somewhat carried over to this next day. As Kerry and Michael are seen walking away from camp, the focus hones in on the other three as they sit around their newly-lit fire and chat about the weather and the upcoming challenge.

Andy(Looking up): Ugh, doesn't look like this dreary weather is gonna let up anytime soon.

Dianne(Smiling): I hope it does. Doing a challenge in the rain is no fun.

Andy laughs a bit as Reggie is observed staying silent as the other two keep on chatting the morning away.

Being forced back into my alliance with Andy and Dianne is definitely starting to wear down on my nerves even more than it did before. Prior to yesterday, I at least had the upper hand of them being blissfully unaware of my irritation with them. But now everything's out in the open, and I'm getting nervous as hell that one more wrong move is gonna mean the death of me in this game. I want Dianne out, and if I had the chance to send her over to the jury, I would. But I just don't know if I have the proper means to do it yet.

–Reggie

Reggie rolls his eyes as Kerry and Michael approach the three of them with treemail in their hands.

Andy(Grinning): Looks like we got somethin' today!

Kerry(Smiling): It looks like this might be our final reward challenge guys.

Everyone is eager to listen intently as Kerry reads off the little poem that informs them about their reward for the upcoming challenge. As everyone starts to get ready and prepare to go, Michael is seen with a mix of excitement and determination on his face.

Today's treemail talked about what I percieve as a pretty stellar reward. And being the adventurous traveler that I am, I try as much as I can to make the most out of this experience and part of that is going on the rewards and seeing all these exotic locales and places that seem lost in time. It's been my passion ever since I got out of rehab and I plan to keep it that way until the day I die. So I have to win this reward. It's like, one-hundred percent essential that I take home the victory today.(Smiling hopefully)

–Michael

A shot of the five castaways walking away from camp is shown before it switches to an overhead panning view of the Pacific Ocean. After moving about for a few seconds, the camera rapidly zooms in on the obstacle course that has been set up in the water for the contestants' next reward challenge. Probst is seen standing at the edge of the shore as he is waiting to bring the castaways in.

Probst: Come on in, guys!

The five members of the Machu Picchu tribe make their way out of the jungle and onto their tribe mat, all of them anxious to get to the challenge.

Probst: Are you guys ready to get to today's reward challenge?

With affirmation from the five competitors, Probst launches into his explanation about the challenge and how it will basically work and function overall. After he has concluded this, he reveals that reward for winning today's challenge, which is a trip to the ancient site known as Machu Picchu. As he goes into it, all of the players' faces, especially Michael's, are seen to be full of excitement and intentness. Their jaws drop once again though as Jeff goes on to reveal that the winner will also recieve a 2015 Hyundai Sonata as a prize to take home when the game is over. With everything on the line, Probst tells the castaways that they will draw for spots and then get started.

The camera zooms in and then back out rapidly to show each of the five individual competitors in their respective starting positions for the challenge. On Probst's signal, all of them sprint out into the water so they can begin traversing the obstacle course. Right away, it is Kerry, Michael, and Andy leading the pack, with Dianne and Reggie only mere seconds behind as they all climb up onto the floating platform and start making their way across the first balance beam. Almost immediately, Andy loses his balance and falls in, losing him time and allowing the others to pass him. Everyone else gets across the first obstacle without any trouble as they start moving on to navigating across the canoes. This part of the course is much more difficult as both Reggie and Dianne falling into the water is evident of this while Kerry amd Michael are still able to maintain their balance and dive into the water to retrieve their respective first flags. As they do so, Andy has caught up and is much more cautious with his approach on balancing on the canoes, allowing him to pass up Reggie and Dianne and dive down for his first flag. By this time, both Michael and Kerry have gotten their flags and start making their way back across the course. Once again, they traverse the entirety of the course without any major issues or problems, allowing them to swim back and hang their flags up on their posts before turning around and heading back for their second flag. As they head back out, Andy and Dianne are coming back with their first flags while Reggie has just retrieved his first one. While the two former are able to make it back to shore without falling off, Reggie takes a few tumbles off the canoes on his way back, causing him to fall even further behind the rest of the pack. As he continues to struggle, Dianne and Andy hang up their first flags before making their way back out. By now, Michael and Kerry have once again traversed the course with ease and made their way to where the flags are being hung underwater. They dive in, neck-and-neck, for that second flag as both of them simultaneously extend their leads. Kerry comes up with his flag a little bit before Michael, but the traveler is quick to catch back up as the two do everything they can to not fall off and lose their lead. As they both head back to the beach, Dianne and Andy are making their way across to get their respective second flags as Reggie is seen finally hanging his flag on his colored pole before turning around and heading back out onto the course. While him, Andy, and Dianne continue to struggle their way through the course, Kerry and Michael arrive back at the shore with their second flags, leaving both of them with only one flag left as they are dead even. With the stakes increasing, they both use whatever energy they have to sprint and swim back to the platform in the water and traverse the boats as fast as they possibly can. Both of them keep their balance once again before plunging back into the crystal-clear ocean to try and retrieve their final flags. Meanwhile, shots of the other three competitors having trouble on various parts of the course are shown as we observe Dianne losing her balance on the canoes while Reggie tiredly pulls himself on the platform with his second flag in hand, signifying that this has become a two-horse race between Michael and Kerry. As they both attempt to grab their flags while under the water, Kerry surfaces a bit earlier than Michael once again, giving him a bit of an edge as the two of them get back up onto the platform. However, Kerry accidently puts his foot in a weird position after stepping onto the first canoe, causing him to fall off and into the water. This opens up the door for Michael to try and take the lead. However, after panicking a bit, Michael also loses his balance and takes a tumble right before the second platform between the canoes and the balance beams. Kerry, quick to get back on his feet, takes advantage of this and passes Michael up, making sure to be careful as he crosses the final balance beam. Michael is able to get back up, but by now he knows it is all in vain as Kerry speedily swims back to shore and happily hangs his final flag on his respective pole, winning him the challenge.

Probst: KERRY WINS REWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kerry smiles and cheers, overjoyed by his victory being announced to all. Reggie is seen sitting back on one of the platforms, all tired out while the rest of the castaways start to make their way back to shore. The focus hones in on Michael as he seems to be especially upset and frustrated at himself for not winning yet another challenge.

Michael(Disappointedly): So close, yet so far once again.

He sighs to himself before putting on a smile and congratulating Kerry along with the other three as Probst speaks up.

Probst: Kerry, congratulations. You've won a brand new 2015 Hyundai Sonata that is now yours to take home along with a trip to the ruins of Machu Picchu. However, an experience like this is no fun if you go alone. Pick two people to come with you on the reward.

Kerry nervously looks over, seeing all the hopeful and smiling faces of his fellow tribemates. Thinking on it for a second, he makes his first choice.

Kerry: I'm gonna go with Dianne.

The executive assistant grins, happy to have been picked as she makes her way over next to Kerry and gives him a big hug as thanks for picking her. Kerry then turns back to the rest of the group to choose the second and final castaway that will be joining him on the reward.

Kerry: I'm choosing Reggie as my final pick. Sorry, guys.

Reggie smiles as he grabs his things and hugs both Kerry and Dianne, elated to have joined the winning group. Andy, smiles and nods, understanding Kerry's choices while Michael does everything to hide his regret and disappointment.

Probst: Alright, with that, you three can head out. The chopper's waiting to pick you up. Have a fun afternoon.

The group of three, chosen by Kerry, all gather their belongings and head for the helicopter, eager and excited for the adventure that awaits them. When they are out of sight, Probst turns towards the two of Andy and Michael with a more serious demeanor.

Probst: Unfortunately, for you two, I've got nothing for ya. Gather your things and head back to camp.

A few shots are shown of Michael and Andy walking away disappointedly before the chopper holding Kerry, Dianne, and Reggie is seen lifting off and heading towards Machu Picchu as the scene is cut to a commercial break.

A view of the helicopter sailing across the vast greenery of Peru is seen before the happy faces of the three castaways are shown as they are all enjoying their ride and the beautiful view from high up in the air. The focus goes to Kerry as he looks to his side to see miles and miles of untouched, fertile, land below him as he reaches his arm out to feel the breeze as they glide through the air.

The helicopter ride across the Andes mountains was a pretty sublime sight to be looking at if you ask me. To just see the endless amount of beautiful and flourishing land out there was something that I personally was stunned by. It's definitely something that I've never seen or experienced before in my fifty-three years of living, so to get to take all of that in today was easily one of the high points of my time out here in Peru. Winning this reward was certainly worth the fight if you ask me.(Grinning)

–Kerry

As the helicopter finally levels off and lands in a clearing, Kerry, Dianne, and Reggie all exit the chopper to a sight for sore eyes. An infinite panorama of flora and fauna surrounds them as they are right in the center of multiple, towering, mountains that seem to stand over them commandingly. It is at this time that they are directed to the area where the ruins are located and on their arrival, they are greeted by a young Hispanic woman who introduces herself as their guide for the site.

Rosa: Hola! My name is Rosa. I will be your guide for the grounds of Machu Picchu.

All three of the players greet Rosa with a smile as she starts to show them around the large monuments and intricate relics. As they walk around, Dianne's face is focused on as she pays super close attention to every detail, curious and intrigued by all the different designs and sites that she is seeing.

The site of Machu Picchu was like nothing I had ever seen before in my whole entire life. It's literally hidden away between these gigantic mountains in the middle of nowhere, like a lost paradise or something like that.(Giggling) I'm pretty sure my jaw was wide open for about ninety-five percent of the whole tour. It was just awesome to be able to see and take in a location like this. You know, a place that has truly been left untouched for hundreds of years and hasn't been scorched by urbanization. It's something that I will definitely remember for the rest of my life. No doubt about it!(Smiling)

–Dianne

Eventually, the tour ends and the three castaways are escorted to a cleared-off area where there picnic blanket and food are awaiting next to a goregous view of the Andes Mountains. Kerry, Dianne, and Reggie all excitedly make their way over and promptly sit down so they can start digging in and enjoying the view.

Dianne(Ecstatic): This is just the most amazing thing I've ever experienced in my entire life. Thanks so much for picking me Kerry.

Reggie(Grinning): Yeah, thanks for bringing me along as well.

Kerry: It's no problem, guys. I think we've got a pretty kickass group right here today.

The other two laugh and nod in agreement as they all do a toast before starting to delve into the extensive amounts of food.

Once we got to the food, my heaven was basically complete. Great eats, beautiful scenery, and just the two people that I wanted to have enjoy it with me. Dianne and Reggie really are the two key players left in this game with myself as I do have agreements with both of them. And along with that, they're also both actively working against each other despite being in the same alliance, which makes things very...interesting.(Grinning) But, strategically, I needed both of these two right here with me so I can get a good grasp of where their heads are at and what they might want to do as far as the next step in the game goes.

–Kerry

As they continue to munch and chow down on the picnic food, the conversations go from topic to topic before it is picked up at the point when the challenge is being discussed amongst the three.

Reggie: I really felt bad for Michael after the challenge, though. You could tell the dude wanted it BAD.

Dianne(Nodding): I know. The reward has been all that he's been talking about lately. He must be really upset back at camp right now.

Kerry(Nonchalantly): Yeah, it really sucks. But at the same time, we can chalk that up as another challenge where he's come extremely close to winning.

Dianne: Oh, totally! What's it been like his third or fourth time being second?

Kerry(Smiling): I've lost count by now.

Dianne laughs a bit as she and the two others continue to chat about Michael's percieved physical prowess in the challenges.

Michael may not have won any immunity challenges yet, but he will soon if we keep him around. If there was an award for the most close calls out here, it would go to him. He's just been so damn close in some of these challenges! It's crazy! And it scares me a lot because Michael has tried on multiple occasions to break my alliance up and get me out of here, not to mention that he and Reggie have been in each other's ears for the past few days. So, in my mind, Michael has gotta be the next one gone.

–Dianne

Kerry, sensing Dianne's agreement on the issue, decides to try and push the mere talk to action.

Kerry: So if we were to, say, vote Mike out next, would you two be down with that?

Dianne(Nodding): Definitely. I haven't trusted him since the beginning and I think it would be better for all of us if we got him out as the physical threat that he is.

Kerry(To Reggie): Are you okay with voting Michael too?

Reggie(A bit hesitant): If that's what everyone else is doing, I'll be good with it, I guess.

Kerry smiles and nods at this, trying to reassure Reggie that everything will be fine, before turning back to Dianne and continuing to discuss the game.

Right now, I'm really just trying to test the waters. You know, see where these people are at and what they're comfortable with. Seeing Dianne jump on board with the Michael vote so easily already gives me something to work with. Reggie's obvious misgivings with that plan are another thing I can use to my advantage later on. I really am attemptimg to play the field at this point since everyone here is so mixed up in their deals and alliances that it makes it almost better to have a good raport with all of these people. It's risky business, but if it works out, it could make me a millionaire.(Smiling)

–Kerry

As the three contestants lounging on the picnic blanket, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and clear skies, are observed, focus hones in on Reggie, who seems to be a bit more distant from the other two.

When Kerry brought up Mike as the next person to get voted out, my jaw almost hit the floor. Like, dude, what are you doing? Do you WANT to get blindsided or something?! I don't know what he's thinking. I mean, I knew that he might be a bit hesitant to regroup after Ivan and Michael wrote his name down at the last Tribal Council, but I thought he'd be smart enough to see the bigger picture of getting Dianne out and blindsiding the head honcho. But no, he's sitting here, trying to be all buddy-buddy with her, and it's honestly making me sick to my stomach.(Groaning)

–Reggie

Dianne and Kerry chatting is highlighted along with one last shot of the ruins and relics of Machu Picchu before the view is transitioned over to the merged tribe camp where Andy and Michael are heading back to. Once the scene has fully switched, the two defeated players are observed sullenly walking back to camp by themselves. Michael drops his things over by the shelter and sighs loudly as Andy tries to make the best of the situation.

Andy(Shrugging it off): Ah well. Can't win 'em all, I guess.

Andy chuckles a bit at his own statement as Michael continues to keep the same dejected expression on his face.

Coming back from the reward challenge and not achieving the goal that I had been striving for was probably the lowest low I've felt out here up to this point.(Sighing sadly) Like, it's ridiculous how close I've been in all these challenges! I've gotten second so many times! And that is just so freaking annoying and frustrating to be so close to winning and going on an extravagent and awesome reward and only losing it by a little bit. So yeah, I was not happy coming back to camp.

–Michael

Another shot is shown as the two men are now sitting down by the fire and leisurely chatting about the outcome of the challenge as Michael is quick to bring up his internal dilemma.

Michael: God dangit. I can't believe how close I was to winning that. I was right behind, Kerry.

Andy(Sympathetic): Yeah, I know that you wanted that reward real badly. I'm sorry ya didn't get it.

Michael: It's not just that. I mean, I'm obviously disappointed that I wasn't able to go eat and explore. I guess it's just the fact that I've been losing by so little over and over and over again that's really starting to bug me.

Andy nods once again, trying to calm Michael down and help him to relax.

Andy: That would get annoyin' for me too. But it's over now. All we can do is try our best and give it a go on the next one.

Michael(Still upset): I know, I know. My mind can't help but keep going back to Machu Picchu though. Now I'm starting to regret naming our tribe after it!

Andy chuckles a bit as Michael continues to sit and be upset about how the challenge worked out.

I came out here and did this competition because I wanted to have new and exotic experiences with people that I don't even know. If I really wanted to just see awesome places, I'd just keep going on with my everyday life. I'm a traveler, that's what we do. But no, I came out to Peru to put myself even farther out of my comfort zone because that's what lets me feel free and alive. I can't do that by just sitting around at camp all day, though! So while I may seem really bitter and mad, it's just the fact that I feel like I'm wasting my own opportunity by just staying back here all the time that truly upsets me.

–Michael

Michael continues to drone on about his percieved struggles of not being able to win a challenge on his own or go on lots of rewards and fufill his own achievements for being Survivor. While he goes on, Andy is seen doing his best to try and grin and bear all of it as the world traveler proceeds to keep going on about the same topic for what feels like forever.

For me, the bad part wasn't losin' the challenge and havin' to come back to camp. The bad part was losin' the challenge and havin' to come back to camp with Michael.(Chuckling slightly) I mean, I get bein' disappointed about bein' on the verge of winnin' so many times, but actin' all negative about it ain't gonna help anyone. And that's really all Mike wants to do now that we're both back here. He wants to be negative and complain for the rest of the day and I'm startin' to reach my limit of how much of that I can take. I just need to take a deep breath and try and keep my distance because that's probably the only way I'm gonna get through this day alive.(Smiling hopefully)

–Andy

Andy can be seen trying to keep all of his frustrations inside of his head as Michael is still blabbing on and on about the reward challenge before the view cuts to a different part of the day when the three reward winners are arriving back at camp. A slight drizzle is now falling from the sky as the group of Dianne, Reggie, and Kerry all disembark from the chopper and quickly scamper their way over to camp to seek shelter from the rain. As he takes refuge, Reggie notes that one of the parts of the roof is leaking through.

Reggie(To Kerry): I think that the roof needs some work. Do you wanna come with me and get some palm fronds and leaves to repair it before it gets worse?

Kerry(Nodding): Sure. Let's go quickly before this rain starts to get heavier.

Reggie agrees before the two men set off into the jungle to get materials to fix the shelter's leaky roof.

When we got back from the reward, the heavens were opening up on our camp. But, at that point, I didn't care about the rain at all. My main goal was getting Kerry away from the rest of the guys at camp so I could talk with him privately. While we were indulging in our picnic, Kerry said that he wanted Mike out next, but that was NOT the plan the last time I checked. I'm not sure if he's truly turning or if he's just covering his bases for later. Either way, he's scaring me and I need to see where his head is actually at so I can figure out if I should trust him or not.

–Reggie

As they venture farther out and away from the shelter, Reggie immediately confronts Kerry about what he said on the reward.

Reggie: So can we talk about what you said to Dianne back there?

Kerry(Raising an eyebrow): Back where?

Reggie: On the reward. You know, when we all said we would vote Michael out next.

Kerry's eyes light up, realizing what Reggie is leaning the topic towards.

Kerry: Ah, okay. What about it?

Reggie(Nervously shuffling his feet): I just wanted to make sure that that wasn't really a legit plan. You were feeding her information, right? You aren't actually gonna vote with her.

Kerry's lips pucker for a second before he smiles and speaks up.

Kerry(Smiling): Of course. What do you think I'm trying to do? Jump onto the enemy's ship?

Reggie's demeanor loosens up a bit as he smiles and chuckles, happy to see the response that he was hoping for.

Reggie(Relieved): Thank God! For a second I thought you had actually bought into all her crap.

The attorney laughs a bit as well while Reggie continues to chat about the resurrection of their original plan to oust Dianne.

I definitely had to play it up to Reggie that I was fully aboard the plan to turn on the two Limas because, in all honesty, I'm not too confident that it will work out this time around. Like I mentioned earlier, I need to be in everyone's ear. It's part of what I do every day and I've started to really incorporate that aspect of my personality into my gameplay. So, unfortunately, Reggie's naive nature and Dianne's paranoid tendencies are gonna be coming in very handy for these next few days.(Grinning)

–Kerry

Reggie: So we're still good, right? You, me, and Mike will all write down Dianne's name down at the next vote.

Kerry(Nodding): Yep. That's how it should go down.

Reggie(Chuckling subtly): Alright, cool. Now let's get out of this rain quick before we bot freeze to death.

Kerry smiles and nods as the two finish retrieving the leafs and palm fronds for the roof of the shelter before starting to head back in the direction of camp where the others are patiently waiting inside of the damp structure.

So it seems as if everything is starting to fall back into its original place. Michael is good to go for voting out Dianne and Kerry confirmed his allegiences to the alliance after we got back from the reward. We were so close last time, and I'm not gonna let another chance slip through my fingers. I don't know when, I don't know how, but I'm gonna get Dianne outta here one way or the other. Believe me, she won't have immunity to protect her this time!

–Reggie

The the focus goes to shots of both Dianne and Reggie in the shelter before the view cuts to black and goes to a commercial break for the time being.

Day 35[]

The scene reopens as the thirty-fifth day of Survivor: Peru is ushered in. The sun is bright and the birds are chirping before a shot of Dianne waking up and stretching is shown. After standing up, she makes her way over to the firepit and takes a seat next to Andy as the two of them start chatting about the goings-on at both the reward and camp during the previous day.

The Machu Picchu reward was certainly a pleasurable experience for yours truly, and I'm still riding a bit of a high from yesterday. However, it's time to get back to the actual strategy element of the game. Whilst dining around the ruins, Kerry brought up the idea of sending Michael to the jury at the next Tribal Council if we get the chance, and I was fully on board. The boy is just too strong and has too many friends on the jury. But, Andy is my right hand man, so I wanted to kind of give him the low-down of what went on and see if he'll be good with this set plan that we have going right now.

–Dianne

Dianne looks behind her, making sure that no one else is in the vicinity, before she starts up the strategy talk.

Dianne(To Andy): Alright, so I want to tell you what all went down during the picnic yesterday.

Andy: Okay. What's the scoop?

Dianne: So Kerry basically confirmed his allegience to me and you by telling me that he wanted Michael out next. And I think that that is probably our best plan of action at this point since we knock out a big challenge threat and a strategic wild card in one hit.

Andy(Nodding): Two birds with one stone.

Dianne: Exactly. I honestly trust Kerry more than Reggie now that he's shown to us that he'd rather stick it out and pick off the rest of Cusco then try and go after me and you.

Andy: I do too. I'm seriously considerin' takin' him to the final three over Reggie after what Reggie tried to do to us a few days ago.

Dianne(Nodding): Oh, definitely. I've got both my eyes on that little rat just in case he tries to pull the wool over our eyes again.

Andy reaffirms this statement as the consensus between the two Limas seems to be that Michael is the next person on the chopping block and that Kerry has replaced Reggie as number three in their precking order.

Takin' out Michael next is definitely somethin' that I'd agree to in a heartbeat. He's been such a Negative Nancy over the last few days and it's really startin' to wear on my mind havin' to put up with that. Besides, with Mikey out of the picture, it takes out the biggest immunity threat left in the game, which will make it easier for me or one of my allies to win a challenge if he's gone. So the plan, according to Dianne and Kerry, is vote Michael out at this council and then we'll probably go for Reggie at the next one since both of us trust Kerry more than Reggie at the moment.

–Andy

While the two continue to chat amongst themselves, Dianne notices Kerry walking along the shore in the distance.

Dianne(Pointing in Kerry's direction): Hey, there's Kerry over there. You should go get him. It'd be better if we discussed all this as a group anyway.

Andy(Nodding): Sure thing.

Andy gets up to go retrieve Kerry as Dianne waits patiently next to the crackling fire.

It's really funny how my relationship with Kerry has done a total one-eighty from what it was three or four days ago. He was my prime target ever since he went and tried to form a cross-tribal alliance with one of my tribemates, and that basically continued all throughout the merge as we both have dodged bullet after bullet. I think that working together, however, has made us both stronger as competitors because we're both working towards the same goal instead of trying to diverge and get each other eliminated.

–Dianne

A shot is then observed of Kerry and Andy sitting back down across from Dianne before she initiates the conversation that she's been waiting ever-so patiently.

Dianne(Smiling): I'm glad we were able to track you down. You never seem to be around camp.

Kerry(Slightly chuckling): Yeah. So what's going on?

Dianne: I was just informing Andy about what you, me, and Reggie discussed on the reward about shutting Michael out next.

Kerry: Ah, I see.

Andy(Adding in his two-sense): And I'm completely on board with that. He's been really pessimistic lately and that's startin' to rub me the wrong way.

Kerry nods, still wondering why Dianne has called him over to camp for something as trivial as confirming a target.

Dianne: Honestly, as long as us three are all on the same page, then we've got our free passes to the finals.

This arouses the lawyer's attention, as Kerry is very interested as to Dianne's intentions in letting that out of her mouth.

Kerry(Smiling): So are you saying that you want me with you in the final three over Reggie?

Dianne(Shrugging her shoulders): I mean, I seriously trust you over at Reggie at this point because at least you've been pretty consistant with your strategy and personality. Reggie has not, and that's what scares me about him.

Kerry(Nodding): I have to agree with that. Making a deal with him is like taking a shot in the dark.

Dianne: For sure. Which is why I wanted to confirm an agreement between the three of us to go to the final three together.

Kerry(Grinning): Well, when you put it like that, how can I resist?

Dianne and Andy both laugh at this statement before the three shake hands to affirm their alliance to the final three. The view focuses in on Kerry as he leans his head on the back of the shelter while Dianne and Andy continue to chat by the fire.

Alligning myself with Dianne and Andy would definitely be a dilemma. But would it be more of a problem to link up with Reggie and Mike? That would be the question of the day, ladies and gents.(Chuckling) For me, it's like a tug-of-war between these two groups. On one hand, Andy and Dianne are pretty straightforward with their gameplay and the way they vote while Michael and Reggie are all over the place. However, if I was in the final three with those two Limas, then I know that I'd be the odd one out. No question. Where as, with Reggie and Michael, they're relationship is so torn and complicated that it would be pretty easy to turn them against each other. So right now, both sides have their pros and cons and I really haven't found a factor that would make me want to favor one over the other yet. So, for all they know, it's anyone's game.(Grinning)

–Kerry

One more shot is shown of the trio relaxing before the scene is transitioned to a later point in the day where we see Michael and Reggie walking alone in the jungle as they approach the well so that they can have a private conversation about what happened while the latter was away on the reward.

After the last Tribal Council, I've basically assumed that I'm everyone's number one target. Without Ivan, I really have no true allies left. I burned Kerry by writing his name down per Reggie's instructions, I burned Andy and Dianne by going along with Reggie's plan to try and split them up, and Reggie burned me by switching his vote on his own plan! So yeah, I don't have many friends left in this tribe.(Chuckling slightly) But that doesn't mean I just sit down and wait to be voted out. That isn't in my nature at all and it goes against everything else I've done with my life since I cleaned up my act. So getting in a word with Reggie today was crucial because he's my best shot at making something happen at this point.

–Michael

The traveler and political science student take a seat on the edge of the well before the whispering starts up.

Michael: So, dude, what went down at the reward? Anything that might give us an opening?

Reggie(Nodding): Oh, definitely. I was able to chat with Kerry about the possibility of regrouping and reorganizing the original plan to get Dianne out of here. And, believe it or not, he seems fully on board with it.

Michael(Perking up): Really? He explicitly said that he wanted to vote Dianne out next?

Reggie: I'm telling you. He might be playing nice with her, but I know where his true loyalties lie, and that's with us. He's just trying to make her and Andy feel comfortable so that we don't have a repeat of what happened last time.

Michael nods, a bit of frustration arising in his mind for a moment as he identifies Reggie as the cause of the plan falling apart. However, he pushes this thought to the side and continues to listen intently as Reggie gives him all the info about how the next two days are going to go down.

I think what we learned last time from our plan slipping out of our hands was that you can never get too confident in this game and just assume that everyone is blissfully ignorant to whatever schemes or plots are going on behind their backs. I'm making sure that we're a lot more careful about handling strategy and relationships with Dianne and Andy. If they're feeling confident that they aren't getting turned on, it should be easier to beat them in the challenges and surprise them when it finally comes time to vote one of them out. This isn't a playpen for me no more. I was a bit wobbly the first time around, but now I've got the hang of this whole deceiving thing.(Grinning)

–Reggie

Reggie: It's all been arranged. As long as we stay calm and don't give ourselves away, we should be able to finally take full control of this game.

Michael(Smiling): That certainly sounds good to me.

Reggie grins, giddy just from the thought of being able to usurp Andy and Dianne's power and claim it as his own. However, this fantasy soon comes to a halt as Mike brings up a very sobering topic.

Michael(A bit uneasy): I'm just nervous that Kerry might be playing us.

Reggie(Annoyed): He's not, dude! I told you, he doesn't want Dianne making it to the end just as much as you and me do.

Michael: I know. And he may have said that, but you've gotta remember, he's a lawyer. Lying and manipulating probably come very easy to him, and he's shown himself to be very unpredictable in some of these past votes. Who knows? He could be blowing smoke up our asses and then we're the ones left looking dumb.

Reggie rolls his eyes, getting frustrated with Michael's paranoia about Kerry. After a bit more of back-and-forth, Reggie decides to just put an end to the debate.

Reggie: You know what, I'll just go get Kerry and we can all talk this out face-to-face.

Michael(Nodding): Alright. I'd very much like that.

And with that, Reggie quickly scampers off to try and locate the attorney and bring him over to the well where Michael is patiently waiting. Reggie eventually finds him sitting on the beach and approaches him without haste.

Reggie: Kerry, can me and Mike have a word with you?

Kerry(Cautiously): Um, sure.

Reggie leads the lawyer through the jungle and over to the water well so that he and Michael can hash everything out and get onto the same wavelength.

So I get done with talking with Andy and Dianne, and I decide to go ahead and lounge around a bit on the beach. But, low and behold, here comes Reggie, all bug-eyed and crazy, wanting to drag me to the well so that I can "chat" with him and Michael. And I'm just like, who am I? The tribe concierge? Why does everyone need to talk with me about literally everything? How has my position in the game come to this? The spotlight just never stops shining on me, I guess.(Chuckling)

–Kerry

Once everyone is situated, Reggie comes out and addresses the current predicament.

Reggie(Gesturing towards Michael): So Kerry, I was just filling Mikey in on what you and me talked about yesterday and he's just having a few issues in committing to the plan.

Kerry's eyes turn towards Michael before the latter speaks up.

Michael(A bit defensive): It's just, you can't blame me for being a bit skeptical, right? You guys have flipped on me a few times before and I'm a little cagey about jumping right back into bed with a plan that ousted my closest ally in the game.

Kerry puts a palm up, indicating that he's heard enough and that he understands the traveler's qualms.

Kerry(Calmly): Say no more. I completely understand what you're feeling at the moment. I've had a lot of the same fears. But you can believe me when I say that I will not write either of your names down at Tribal Council. You have my word as a man.

Reggie nods as Michael bites his lip, starting to lean in a bit.

Michael: Do you swear?

Kerry(Holding his hand up): I, Kerry Baker, solemnly swear that I will not betray the trust of either of the two gentleman in front of me for as long as I shall stay alive in this game.

Reggie breaks out into laughter as Michael cracks a smile and nods.

Michael(Smiling): Okay, I believe you.

Kerry grins as Reggie seems to exceedingly ecstatic that everyone is back to seeing eye to eye with each other on thir plan. The focus hones in on Michael as he continues to discuss the details of the reward with Kerry and Reggie.

Kerry's pitch was clever, I'll give him that. It did make me grin a bit.(Chuckling) But it doesn't make me trust him any more than I did before. In fact, I might trust him even less than before. His witty and calm nature is a really good facade if he's planning to leave me and Reggie hanging soon enough. However, I knew that if I didn't accept his pitch, I would be kissing my chances of making the final four goodbye. No one wants to keep the outsider around. Especially if that outsider is being pushy and paranoid. So, I agreed to an alliance with Kerry, but I don't trust him.

–Michael

The view then shifts over to Kerry, who is deep in thought about his current situation within the tribe.

My brain has started to become extremely warped over these last few days. I have all these people depending on me for my vote, and I'm completely perplexed as to what I should do. Michael's distrust of me is certainly worrying to say the least, but at the same time, Michael is also in the most desperate position of all of us left. So he's the most likely person to vote with me even if he didn't trust me, where as Dianne and Andy would flip on me in a heartbeat if they stopped trusting. One things is perfectly clear to me though: winning this immunity challenge is going to be crucial for every single one of us.

–Kerry

Quick shots are shown of all five castaways of the Machu Picchu tribe before the scene fades to black and transitions into a commercial break.

Day 36[]

The view opens up once again as the camera pans alongside the seemingly unending shores of the Pacific Ocean before rapidly zooming in to show the contestant's next immunity challenge. Probst is seen near the jungle as he calls in the final five players left in the game.

Probst: Come on in, guys!

The castaways all walk in from the side and stand on their bright red tribe mat.

Probst: Are you guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?

With everyone's affirmations, Probst goes into his usual spiel about describing the basics of the challenge and how it will function overall before telling the castaways that they will draw for spots before getting started.

The scene is zoomed in and then back out again rapidly as we see all five competitors in their starting positions for the challenge. On Probst's signal, all the players sprint off towards the field to start counting up the objects. Upon getting there, Michael, Kerry, and Andy start off with the closest station, the baby pigs, and start counting them up while Dianne and Reggie goto the two farther back stations that contain the squid and the coconuts respectively. As they all start to tally them up, Kerry finishes with the pigs and immediately moves onto the station adjacent to them, which would be the crabs, and starts counting them up. Dianne and Andy also get their respective objects counted before moving onto another station. Michael is seen going a bit slow to start with, as he is counting the pigs multiple times to be sure that he is getting the right number each time. Kerry ends up getting done with the crabs as well before he sprints back to the starting point with everyone's number tiles and makes a note of both of his counts before speeding off back to the field to start tallying up more of the stations. As he heads back, Dianne and Michael are both seen running in the opposite direction to mark down their numbers. Dianne was able to get two from the squid and the coconuts while Michael got one from the baby pigs. While they run back, Reggie is trying to count all of the stations at once and do the number crunching back at the starting line instead of periodically like the other four have chosen to do. Andy gets his second one counted before sprinting out of the field and to his own station to record his numbers as Dianne and Michael are getting back to the field. As Dianne and Michael both start on the crabs, Kerry is maintaining his lead by counting up the rocks and moving onto the fresh fish. Whilst Reggie starts to struggle, as it is confusing to keep the existing numbers stright while trying to count for another station, Kerry finishes tallying up the fish and runs back to make a note of his next two numbers. The other four all start to kick it into high gear, seeing that they are all falling behind. Michael and Dianne quickly get through their next few stations, counting only once to save time. This allows them to run back and add their new numbers as Kerry finishes and sprints back to count the last two stations. With the attorney closing in on the last leg of the race, tensions start to rise even higher. Michael and Dianne are practically slamming the tiles on the table as fast as they can go before sprinting off in Kerry's direction, both of them trying to get the edge over the other. While Andy comes back with two more numbers counted, it is clear that Kerry, Michael, and Dianne are leading the challenge right now, with each of them only having two more stations to count. Kerry and Michael are both counting the coconuts and the squid while Dianne is tallying up the crabs and the baby pigs. Meanwhile, Reggie is still hazarding a guess at the last few stations, trying to keep all the numbers in his head as he attempts to count down the same two stations as Dianne. Kerry is quick to move through the coconuts, but both of his competitors are right behind as they are now all counting down their respective last stations. Despite the catch-up, Kerry maintains a bit of a lead as he blazes through the field path and over to his own station to start entering the numbers into his lock. Dianne leaves right after him, with Michael right on her tail, trying to stay in it. Whilst Andy and Reggie are still back at the field, struggling to get their numbers, the three other castaways are racing to get their counts locked in. With speed and precision, Kerry gets all six numbers in order and entered into the combination lock before he grabs the handle to try and break the glass tile. Low and behold, it does not budge, indicating that Kerry has gotten at least one of the numbers wrong. Kerry, now starting to panic, runs back to recount and see what he got wrong. However, Dianne and Michael both have their tallies entered before Kerry can even leave the starting line, and when it comes down to it, Dianne's handle won't budge, but Micheal is able to pulls his out cleanly and break his tile in a fit of victorious joy.

Probst: MICHAEL WINS IMMUNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael lets out one big scream of victory, happy to have finally claimed first place and the individual immunity necklace for himself. Andy bites his lip, not happy to see the traveler narrowly escaping the vote as Dianne puts on a smile and congratulates Michael on a job well-done. Reggie and Kerry both seem indifferent to the result, as they both have other targets in mind.

Probst: Michael, congrats on your first individual immunity win. You are safe tonight at Tribal Council and now have a one in four shot at winning the title of Sole Survivor and the million dollars that comes with it. As for the rest of you, one of you is about to come up only six days shy of day thirty-nine. You have the afternoon to decide who that will be. Head on back to camp.

Michael thanks Jeff as the others are highlighted with various expressions of worry, satisfaction, and excitement on their faces at the results of the challenge as the view fades out and goes to a commercial break.

The scene reopens back at the Machu Picchu camp as the five remaining castaways are seen making their way back in after the immunity challenge. The camera focuses on Michael, who is loud and proud about the fact that he has finally gotten individual immunity into his grasp. He hangs the necklace on the tree adjacent to the shelter before turning around and chatting it up with a few of his fellow tribemates.

When Probst called my name as the winner of today's challenge, I couldn't have been more ecstatic. I've been on the verge of victory for so long now that I've just been hoping and praying that my time would come. And low and behold, it came at the best time possible. I have no real allies and real connections at this point, so having safety this close to the end is crucial. And hey, now I get to sit back and watch all these crazy people scramble around like eggs in the pan.(Chuckling)

–Michael

Michael(Grinning): First immunity win. I can't believe it!

Reggie: Congrats, man.

Dianne(Nodding): Yeah, you really earned it.

Michael smiles and keeps going on about the challenge and his victory as the focus moves over to Dianne, who is trying her best to keep a cheerful smile and relaxed demeanor.

Before the challenge, everyone had kind of reconfirmed that Michael was going to be our vote for the night. However, that plan basically went down the toilet when Mikey won the immunity necklace today. So that sucks, becuase now we're all looking at each other like "What are we going to do?". Our main target for the upcoming Tribal Council just pulled themselves off of the chopping block, so now the arrow is aimed at the other four of us. I feel like this camp is about to blow up with all the last minute strategizing and whispering and I do not want to be caught in the middle of it!(Sighing nervously)

–Dianne

As the excitement and high from the challenge start to wear down, everyone starts to disperse a bit more. A shot of Kerry and Dianne chatting by the fire is shown as Andy is sitting close to them, able to hear what they are talking about, as he chops up some coconuts.

Dianne(Looking around the vicinity): So do you maybe want to head over to the well or the beach or something to talk?

Kerry(Eating a plantain): Yeah, sure. The beach sounds good.

Dianne motions to Andy, and together the three of them all walk down to the seaside to hang out and discuss their plans for the upcoming elimination.

With our first option immune, I think the big question became, you know, who's going to be the one who gets kicked to the curb and sent to the jury? Obviously, no one wants to be the one to be excluded, but it's inevitable now that Michael's immune. And I certainly don't want to be the one on the outs, so I had to be very quick and precise about my approach. Once everyone started to wear down a bit, I wanted to make sure I knew where Kerry's and Andy's heads were to see if I could rely on the both of them to have my back going into the vote tonight.

–Dianne

Andy lazily splashes and kicks the water while Kerry decides to sit down in the shallow part of the ocean as Dianne starts in with the strategy.

Dianne: So, I know that we all just got thrown for a huge loop back there, but I want to ask you two straight away what you might want to do for Tribal tonight?

Kerry(Scratching the back of his head): I mean, with us three here, there really is only one option. I know you might not want to hear it but I think Reggie should be the one to go.

Dianne nods, understanding the logic behind it as Kerry continues.

Kerry: I trust you guys wholeheartedly and when I promised to stay loyal, I meant it. So, with that taken into consideration, Reggie is really the only option.

Dianne(Nodding): I have to agree. I'd feel much safer booting him out of here than either of you at this point just because I know that he's been trying to come after both me and you.

Dianne points to Andy and the tattoo artist nods as well.

Andy: I'd have no problem with that.

Dianne: And neither would I.

The three of them all put their arms in the middle and do a chant to affirm their loyalty to each other before going on to a few other varying topics.

When it was Michael who won immunity, I was actually really happy and jubilant about it to be completely honest.(Chuckling) I know that I had to act all upset and disappointed when I came back to camp, but I truly was satisfied with the result. It just goes to show that leaving yourself open for debate can be the best option. I mean, my alliance with Dianne and Andy is reeling after having to change their target to Reggie, but it's the fact that they trust me enough to target a Lima, one of their own, over me that shows that relationships in this game are important. I wouldn't have gotten that same authentic reaction from them if I hadn't taken the time to make those bonds. Just goes to show you that playing the field CAN work out in some cases!(Chuckling)

–Kerry

The view transitions to a bit later in the day as Reggie and Michael are seen lounging in the shelter. Reggie leans over a bit, seeing Dianne relaxing by herself in the shallow parts of the ocean. He looks back as he and the world traveler start chatting.

Reggie(Smiling): Dude, I'm so freaking happy that you won that necklace today.

Michael(Grinning): Believe me, I'm happy about it too.

Reggie chuckles a bit as the two continue to talk and relax.

Having Michael win today's immunity challenge was the best thing that could've happened for me. I mean, besides myself winning, of course.(Chuckling) But, in the grand scheme of things, it prevents Dianne from escaping her fate and throwing a wrench into our plans like last time. Now, with her vulnerable, all I need to do is make sure that Mike and Kerry are still on board with the plan and then boom!(Clapping his hands) A solid majority that ensures that Dianne finally goes home and that I'm in the final three without her.

–Reggie

Michael: You sure that Kerry's gonna vote with us?

Reggie(Rolling his eyes): Yes. I told you, he's one-hundred percent on board with us and the plan. I can guarantee it.

Michael(Looking to his right): Well, speak of the devil.

Reggie looks over and smiles, happy to see Kerry emerging from the woods and airing out some of his wet clothes near the fire. He calls the attorney over in order to take advantage of the situation and confirm the vote for the night.

Reggie: So I'm just, you know, making sure that we're all still on the same page for tonight.

Kerry(Nodding): Yep. Dianne tonight, and then Andy after that, right?

Reggie nods as Michael delves into a different point to consider.

Michael(Cautiously): So do you know who those two are throwing their votes to? It can't be me, so it's obviously one of you guys.

Kerry: I'm guessing it's gonna be me. It makes more sense, since I am the other remaining Cusco and all.

Reggie(Shrugging his shoulders): It doesn't really matter in the end though as long as we're all loyal to each other.

The three men all nod and agree on this as the focus goes to Kerry, who seems to be holding something back from the other two.

When cluing Reggie in about sensitive information, you have to take a lot of factors into consideration. I mean, the guy freaks out at the slightest sign of instability in our "plan" to blindside Dianne at this next Tribal Council, which I'm still mulling over. And it's for that exact reason that I basically lied right to his face in saying that Andy and Dianne would be voting for me tonight, while in reality they're voting for him. I knew that would piss him off and we didn't need to deal with that, so I pretty much just told him what he wanted to hear. There's nothing wrong with that, right?

–Kerry

However, as the men continue to chat near and inside of the shelter, Dianne, who is still down by the beach, takes note of the conversation and starts to make some implicating assumptions.

You know, the one thing I've been trying to work on in this game is my paranoia. I feel as if I jump to conclusions way too quickly and that has come close to screwing me over on multiple occasions. But, despite that, I still went into my usual manic state when I saw those three guys together, whispering and plotting like they do. I mean, I can't help it at this point. It's just a knee-jerk reaction and the minute I observed all of them together I immediately went to Andy with the extreme fear that those guys are teaming up against me and that I am actually on the outs of this tribe.

–Dianne

Dianne, weary of what she has just witnessed, finds Andy filling up his canteen at the well before coming up to him and detailing a new list of worries and insecurities about the three men uniting against them.

Dianne(Biting her lip): I am definitely not feeling secure right now. Not at all!

Andy(Looking up from the well): What's wrong? I thought everythin' had been settled.

Dianne: It had. But I can't help but think that those other guys have some type of agreement to oust me and you so that they can all make the final three. I mean, we already know Reggie tried it before, so why wouldn't he try it again if he has numbers?

Andy: What about Kerry?

Dianne(Sighing): I really don't know what to think about him anymore. I want to trust him, especially after he informed us about Reggie's plan, but he is also super desperate as a player and I know that it is not above him to try and manipulate others to further his own ends. He could be completely playing us for all I know. Ugh, what do you think we should do?

Andy stays motionless for a few seconds before sitting up and looking Dianne straight in the face as he gives his answer.

Andy: If I may be frank, I think that turnin' the tables on Kerry would be the best option.

Dianne's eyes go wide, as she was not expecting such a serious and detailed answer from thw usually carefree tattoo artist.

When it comes down to it, this entire game revolves around trust. You have to have even the tiniest bit of trust in each of your allies, or your sunk. And if I compare the people left here with me, I truly have more faith in Reggie stayin' loyal to me over Kerry. Sure, Reggie may have tried to make a move against me and Dianne, but he was easily coerced back to our side. Where as Kerry is much more strong-minded and will formulate schemes of his own. He isn't scared to pit people against each other, and that's what scares me the most about him. If I have any choice in it at all tonight, I'd rather vote out Kerry over Reggie.

–Andy

Dianne(A bit taken aback): You want Kerry to go tonight over Reggie?

Andy: If that's the choice you're givin' me, then yes, I'd lean towards that one. He's way too strategic and mainpulative for his own good. Plus, he has a really good underdog story if he gets to the end.

Dianne(Nodding): That is true. But what scares me about that is if we go against Kerry, who's to say he doesn't just bring in Mike and Reggie and they still have numbers over us.

Andy(Shrugging): I mean, it's not like it was me or you who brought up Reggie as the votin' option for tonight. That was him. If we really wanted to, we could scare Reggie enough to where he thinks he can't trust Kerry anymore.

Dianne nods enthusiastically, loving the idea that Andy has proposed.

Dianne: Perfect. It's just consistent enough to work. I'll make sure to have a talk with Reggie once he's alone.

Andy(Nodding): Alright.

Dianne quickly turns back around and heads for camp, eager to try and work her magic from before on Reggie and get him back on her side.

Andy's idea of forcing Reggie back onto our side was absolutely brilliant in my opinion. Although he may or may not have it out for me, none of that will matter when the dude gets an earful about what Kerry has been saying about him. Do I take a big risk in doing this since, after all, Kerry could still be with me? Of course. But that's what Survivor is about. Taking risks and hoping for the reward. I've seen it work out with Reggie before, and I'm banking on the fact that he'll react the same way he did last time. It could be a long shot, but I think I can make it.(Smiling)

–Dianne

The scene is switched to a bit later, the sun setting in the background as a shot of Dianne pulling Reggie to the side to talk is shown in full view.

Reggie: What's up?

Dianne: I just wanted to confirm the vote for tonight with you. Obviously, we all were going for Michael, but now that he's immune, we might as well go for Kerry and get him out once and for all. Are you on board with that idea?

Reggie almost scoffs, wondering if Dianne is being genuine or not.

Reggie(Raising an eyebrow): Yeah, I mean, sure. I'm fine with that.

Dianne(Sensing his misgivings): I know you still want me out and that you've been going to both Mike and Kerry about making that happen. But I'm just here to tell you that should have a little less faith in your allies, since one of them seems to not care much about you.

Reggie: What do you mean by that?

Dianne: I don't know what he told you, but he's been feeding me and Andy the plan that it's going to be you tonight.

Reggie's face freezes for a few seconds, stunned by the revelation, but he immediately tries to cover up his feelings of surprise and doubt.

Dianne(Catching on): I know you don't trust him as much as you like to make it appear, and believe me, I don't either.

Reggie just shakes his head, not wanting to give in to what he already knows is coming.

Why in the hell would Kerry go ahead and just lie to my freaking face about something so irrelevant? I mean, I would have been a bit worried if I knew that Andy and Dianne were writing my name down, but I wouldn't have waged a war against him! Come on, dude! Do you really not trust me enough that you have to make something up just to keep me in your good graces? Ugh, this just spins everything for another loop. I want Dianne out. I want her gone and onto the jury ASAP. But if Kerry is still playing tricks and doing these really sketchy things, whose to say that he isn't gonna do what he did last time and just rat me out to Dianne? God, I hate this! Can't I ever just make ONE clear-cut decision in this game? One!(Chuckling nervously)

–Reggie

Reggie: So are you suggesting that we all vote out Kerry tonight according to plan?

Dianne nods as Reggie bites his lip, feeling himself being pulled in all sorts of directions.

Dianne: I know you have it out for me, but you don't see that we basically need each other in this game. Do you really expect me to want to go to the final two with Andy? He's a massive social threat and is best friends with everyone on the jury. He's beat both of us in a heartbeat.

Reggie(Taken aback): Are you proposing that we make a pact to go to the end together?

Dianne(Nodding): Yes. No one is looking at us as a potential pair at this point and it would mutually benefit the both of us. All I ask is that you join me and Andy in voting for Kerry at tonight's Tribal Council.

Reggie(Bewildered): I'll have to think it over.

Dianne nods, stating that she hopes he makes the right decision before heading off towards the shelter to grab her stuff for Tribal. Reggie continues to contemplate the situation that has been put in front of him as he too goes to pack up and get ready for their impending Tribal Council. The camera focuses on Dianne sliding her buff around her waist as Michael puts on his immunity necklace proudly.

Ultimately, this game is outwit, outplay, outlast. Everything I do here is to further any and all of those three concepts. Convincing Reggie to flip on Ivan and Michael? Outwit. Foiling his plans by winning immunity? Outplay. Promising him the final two deal like I did? Outlast. I'm a control freak by nature, so for me, everything needs to be in order. And I'm just hoping that all my ducks are in a row tonight because if they aren't, it could very well spell the end of my time out here.

–Dianne

A shot of Kerry retrieving his torch is shown as the attorney does some last minute whispering with both Reggie and Dianne before the group starts to head out.

Going in tonight, it could very well be me. I have to remember that I don't have any strong bonds with these people and I've had to heavily rely on the divides that they have with each other to further myself up to this point. When it comes down to which group I trust most, it really is like weighing out an almost impossible scenario. Dianne and Andy are tight and savvy, but they're consistent and I'd feel better going into challenges with those two and coming out on top. Reggie and Michael, however, are not tight with each other or extremely manipulative and subtle in their gameplay, but they are more physical in the challenges. So the pros and cons are balancing themeselves out, and that doesn't get me anywhere. When it comes down to it, it becomes the idea of who is gonna get me to that final two? That's what I have to go off of.

The lone group of five walks along the shores of Peru as the sun completely sets along the horizon and leaves only darkness left in the cold air. Intense Tribal music starts in as the camera rapidly zooms in to show the Tribal Council area. The five members of the Machu Picchu tribe make their way into the structure and set their torches down in their respective holders before taking a seat and facing Probst.

Probst: We'll now bring in the members of our jury.

As the eliminated players start to make their way through the archway, all the remaining castaways smile and are happy to see them all again as Probst does the call-out.

Probst: Leo, Griffin, Alexis, and Ivan, voted out at the last Tribal Council.

Ivan gives off a huge grin at the sight of Michael with the immunity necklace around his neck. The world traveler gives him a smile back before turning his attention back to Jeff.

Probst: Alright, Michael, we'll start with you. Last Tribal seemed to be a big change of plans, especially for you. With that taken into consideration, how big was it that you win immunity today?

Michael(Smiling): It was so important that I have this necklace in my possession today, Jeff, because I truly believe it would have been me if I had not finally won it.

Leo chuckles a bit, satisfied to see Mike have safety around his neck.

Probst: Dianne, can you relate to that feeling?

Dianne: Definitely. In fact, I had the same exact situation at the last Tribal Council.

Probst: In what way?

Dianne: I had people basically tell me to my face that if I hadn't of won immunity, I would have been going home at the last vote.

Probst: That cannot be comforting to hear, especially given the fact that you are not immune tonight.

Dianne(Sighing): It scares me a lot, for sure. I think I've got a good idea of where everyone's general loyalty lies, but then again, that's what a lot of these other people thought and then ta-da! Blindside time!

A bit of laughter is aroused from the others as Leo is seen rolling his eyes and scoffing.

Probst: Kerry, do you also feel a bit vulnerable tonight as the only Cusco left who doesn't have immunity around his neck?

Kerry: That is certainly a factor to consider. You know, I don't have as strong of bonds with these people as I'd liked to have, but at the same time, it may not be about how close I am with them, but how not close they are with each other.

Michael nods a bit as Dianne bites her lip.

Probst: And what does it mean for them to be "not close" to each other? Give some examples off the top of your head.

Kerry: There has been a lot of friction between the Limas for the last few days it seems. Allies turning against each other, making other plans, that sort of stuff. And that's good for me because it gives me some options of where I want to go.

Andy keeps his composure as Reggie chuckles a bit at Kerry's statement, agreeing with it.

Probst: Reggie, is there any truth to that? Are you three from the original Lima alliance not as close as you appear?

Reggie: You know, over the past few days, there may have been some conflict between some of us. I think some miscommunication and overall confusion between plans and strategies helped contribute to that.

Dianne raises an eyebrow as Ivan sternly looks on from the jury bench.

Reggie: When it comes down to it though, when we're this close to the endgame, Tribal lines don't matter. It's about your rapport and trust with the individuals themselves and how much faith you have in them. I mean, we're in the merge phase, right? This is every man for himself.

Michael nods in agreement as Kerry looks a bit confused.

Probst: Well, with that, it is time to vote. Michael has the immunity necklace. You cannot vote for Michael. Everyone else is fair game. Dianne, you're up to vote.

One by one, each of the contestants cast their vote for who they want to see voted out of Peru next. Kerry and Dianne's voting confessionals are aired to the viewing audience while Reggie is once again seen struggling with his vote. He eventually takes a deep breath, writes down a name, and sits back down in his spot, almost already regretting his decision.

Probst: I'll go tally the votes.

Kerry and Dianne's nervous faces are highlighted along with Reggie compulsively twiddling his thumbs as Probst comes back with the urn tucked snuggly around his arm.

Probst: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes.

First vote: Dianne (1-0)

Dianne stiffens up, hating the idea of seeing her name up on that ballot.

Second vote: Kerry (1-1)

Kerry raises an eyebrow and looks over to Dianne and Andy, who do not recipricate the gesture.

Third vote: Kerry (2-1)

Michael looks on with a straight face while Kerry is surprised to see that the Lima pair wrote his name down. As Probst pulls out the next vote, Reggie looks down, trying to hide his face from those around him.

Fourth vote:

Probst: Twelfth person voted out of Survivor: Peru and the fifth member of our jury........................................Kerry. That's three, and that's enough. You need to bring me your torch.

Kerry's mouth hangs open at the sight of the deadly third vote, just smiling and shaking his head before he stands up to retrieve his torch. As he does, Leo grins and winks at Michael, but the world traveler stays mum, not showing any kind of emotion as Dianne's relieved face is observed as well before Kerry drops his torch into the front holder.

Probst: Kerry, the tribe has spoken.

Kerry turns around and gives the remaining castaways a big thumbs-up.

Kerry(Grinning): Nice one, guys. I did not see that coming! I'll see ya around.

As he exits, the other four all laugh and wave goodbye to him as Dianne looks over and smiles at Andy, happy that they have finally killed the cockroach. Reggie just shakes his head, wondering if he made the right decision or not.

Probst: Well, say what you want about it being an individual game, but from what I saw, the former Lima tribe just stuck together once again. Tribal lines are clearly still in play. And with only four of you left, Michael, Dianne, Reggie, and Andy, I have to say congratulations for making it this far. But the game is far from over. In the next three days, there will be two immunity challenges, three Tribal Councils, two more people added to the jury, and ultimately one of you will be crowned the Sole Survivor of Peru as the power shifts over to the people over there. I cannot wait to see how it plays out. Head on back to camp. Get a good night sleep.

The final four is highlighted as they are all seen pretty happy and jubilant to have made it to the semi-finals. They all grab their torches and make their exit from Tribal Council as the intro music starts to play in the background, signifying the end of this episode and the ushering in of the grand finale.

It was hard, but you're the only other puppet master here. And as much as I love you, I don't want to sit up against you at the final two.

Hopefully the third time really is the charm.

Final Words[]

Well, it's pretty ironic that the one Tribal Council I came to feeling completely safe was the one where I finally got blindsided.(Chuckling) I've had my elimination in my head for days, but I was definitely not expecting that! They have some crafty individuals left in the game and I have to say after pulling off something so flawless and unforeseen, I'd have no qualms about giving my vote to any of those people left back there. ANY of them!
